I found the staff to be very friendly and sweet. I tried a mild beef patty as they and also a chicken one..both were piping hot and good. I preferred the chicken one, and enjoyed the sweet element to it. I would recommend if you like Jamaican patties. read more

Really like the patty here! We come here every time we are in FLL and we always bring home the frozen 24-pack! Patty are always so flakey and warm. Stuffing is always flavorful. Even the frozen ones, they don't dry off too much as long as you preheat them right. My unpopular opinion- I actually like their patty better than Juicy Beef's. Lol read more

True rating: ehhhh maybe 3.7/5 I got the mild beef (hot were all gone) and the jerk chicken Pattie's, alongside a coco bread The Pattie's are pretty good. It is a thinner crust which means no crunch, but also means more meat filling. Generous fillings for sure. And the size of the patty's are HUGE. In the mood for jamaican food so we googled somewhere near by. We ordered brown stew chicken, curry chicken, oxtail and two beef patties. Patties were decent but a little too flaky and soft for me. I ordered delivery from here today based off the reviews and boy was I disappointed. I ordered oxtails, curry chicken, and brown stew chicken all dinners comes with rice and peas, cabbage, and plaintains. First I have to say that the packaging was horrendous, its like they piled a whole lot of rice in a small cheap container and the gravy was spilled in all of the bags, a complete mess. I first had to open each bag and container and transfer the food to bowls and rush to get the bags out of the house. After transferring the food to bowls I was finally able to fix our plates to eat. The only meat 2 of my family members eat is chicken and I'm the only one that eats beef. I tasted both the brown stew and curry chicken and it was just meh...they didn't like it at all. So I fix my oxtail plate and sit down to eat, I wish I had read the review on here about the burnt oxtails, then I probably wouldn't have ordered them because that review was absolutely correct. They were burnt and tasted burnt which made the rice with the gravy taste burnt. I had to throw the whole thing in the garbage. Thankfully the app I ordered on gave me back the $17 plus tax for that plate. Although we threw the rest of the food away I didn't complain. I do know that I will never order from this place again. OK, so I was excited to try this place, the reviews kind of deterred me but then I added it back on my list in search of finding the best Jamaican patties in Miami. I should have just left it off the list and followed my first mind. When I got there, the lady immediately told me that the patties will be ready in about 15 minutes and it would be beef. I saw some patties already out and asked her about it. She confirmed they were the curry chicken which was the one that I wanted because in the TikTok video that I saw it looks so delicious. I got the curry chicken one and was disappointed. It was just barely ground chicken pieces that didn't even taste like chicken, it tasted like chicken flavored chickpeas or something. I went back inside to confirm that she gave me the right pattie because I thought maybe it was a veggie pattie or something. I don't know what was going on in that pattie but I threw it away I couldn't do it. Just got some of your patties delivered by a friend. What has happened to your patties? Extra salty with an almost brine-like, vinegar flavor. Crust was nice and flaky, but your filling flavor has definitely changed. None of the Thyme forward flavor that it usually has. Just returned from out of town and was really looking forward to this. Extremely disappointed. Please fix it. Have been enjoying the flavor since Jamaica so I know what I can usually count on. Also coco bread is a little dry and doesn't house the patty. We no longer live in S. Florida. Whenever we visit, we try to get Patties. On Saturday, 11/26/22, we purchased an assortment of patties to take home, 30 total. Not enjoyed. Last time I was there. I placed an order for 24 frozen patties. When I got there, I was told they were out of stock. I only bought 12 hot ready to eat patties. I was glad I didn't get 24. I had forgotten about that till I took a bite on the recent trip. Something in the patties gives a sour taste. Is it lime, vinegar or both? Another thing, where's the meat? read more

Warning: Hammond's Bakery is addictive. Hammond's is one my favorite spot for lunch in Miami Gardens. The bakery is located conveniently down the street from St. Thomas University. I recommend the oxtail. You'll keep coming back for more. The coco bread and spicy beef paddies are perfect. The paddies have a great crust and the filling...a perfect range of spice and flavor. You'll see new paddies coming out of the kitchen to the heater during rush periods. The counter staff is friendly and fast even when there is a busy lunchtime rush. Don't forget to leave a tip (especially if the place is busy). You'll never get a small portion at Hammond's with them packing your meal so have an appetite. read more

I'm never really hard on small businesses but it's just something about this place that makes me not want to return. The cashiers are nice nasty and when I say that I mean their rude in a nice way. They are super slow and if you don't have patience then don't come. The carrot juice is about the best thing I've ever had. I always order that cocoa bread and a patty but I just cannot stand the customer service there. Just visited this location after being told that they were the closest thing to authentic Jamaican patties. I drove down from Broward county and purchased 2 spicy beef patties and 1 coco bread. I was shocked to see the product being kept in a tiny heater. I attempted to bite into a beef Patty and it was too hot to enjoy so I drove back to Broward to let it cool off, which made it worse. Not on was the food stiff and very flakey it tasted very stale. So I will avoid any further visits and correct anyone who recommends this place again.
