Such a great quick and easy spot for brunch on weekends or breakfast any day of the week. It's very cozy and homey, offering so much variety. I been coming here for about 14 years when Mr Steve was running it. The place looks amazing but food and service went down. Today a young lady came in sat down with her dog in the table not on the floor. My waitress got mad mad cause I asked to move me. She never addressed me when ordering she addreases my husvand. See never serviced my table but took care of all her white customers now my husband is white and she continued to address him. I'm not sure if they are worth my money. Stopped in here one day when I was craving NY bagels. I was pleasantly surprised. I didn't eat in the restaurant so I can speak to the atmosphere but the service at the counter was good and the bagels were good as well. Stopped in for an early Sunday breakfast and we had an excellent experience. The place is very inviting, clean, well organized and the dining area is very comfortable. We had the signature breakfast sandwich and the short stack with sausage. Both were brought out quickly and were delicious. The best part of our visit was the interaction with the staff. We greeted with a friendly and welcoming "good morning" and a smile. Our server, Jodi, is an absolute delight. She was super friendly, helpful and attentive the entire time. Our water and our coffee were refilled as we enjoyed our meal and the plates were cleared and the table cleaned quickly but not rushing us, and ensuring our time was pleasant. Where to start? Roasters 'N' Toasters is one of my fav places to go for breakfast when I'm in NMB. The bagels are great, the coffee is hot, and the staff is friendly. I've only ever seen the dining room packed or somewhat slow. But even if it's packed it shouldn't take you too long to get a seat. Also, they have a walk-up counter if you want to get something to go. I enjoy the potato Latkes with applesauce every time I go in there. I have never had a bad experience here. The food is amazing, the service welcoming. Once In a while I get an everything bagel with cream cheese from Dunkin for 3 bux but today ordered one from roasters. Wow what a huge difference. The bagel was almost twice the size and the amount of veggie cream cheese was A lot. Yes twice the price but night n day difference. I've had breakfast there only a few times but always delicious. Soooo, I had been jonesing for their chocolate cake. It reminds me of my Grandmother's chocolate cake. My pro tip is to get it to go so you can enjoy with ice cream at home. Unfortunately, I dropped half of my cake, but I reckon I saved on calories. I got the Turkey sandwich, grilled with cheese and thousand island dressing with the steak fries. This is one of our favorite NY Deli's in South Florida. Today we came in for breakfast and the coffee. There's nothing better than getting a warm welcome. This hidden gem reminds me the delis from New York. We decided to order to pickup and they were really fast. You have to order via their site or mobile app to order for pickup. Pretty awful as, as they bill themselves, a Jewish deli goes. This is what happens when a legitimate restaurant is bought by a corporation and an attempt is made to roll it out as a chain. I ordered kosher salami--I have no idea what brand I was given, but it taste like any kosher salami I've ever tasted, and a half-loaf of rye bread that was more like a half-loaf of white bread. I wanted to order roast turkey, but all they had was pressed turkey, like you'd buy at Publix. The place was dirty and messy with barely any patrons. Once we walked in I was greeted and was seated it was almost as if they were waiting for us to walk in. The servers came right away to ask what would we like to drink and we didn't hesitate on ordering food. Before departing Miami to head up to Fort Lauderdale for a few nights, we were looking for a spot nearby to grab a quick bite to eat and was told about this place. I see the reviews at not the best but I enjoyed my simple meal of Nutella french toast with turkey sausage, hot green tea, and orange juice. We arrived at this location around 10am but thought we were at the wrong place because my google maps (we walked from our hotel - The Cadillac Hotel and Beach Club) to get some steps in on our Fitbits - brought us behind the building. If I could give zero stars, I would. Roasters & Toasters in N. Miami used to be one of our favorite places. Over time, we've spent countless mornings there sharing meals, giving generous tips, and building memories. But yesterday, everything changed in the most devastating way. My husband is 58 years old. He has terminal kidney failure and has been denied a transplant three times. He is an amputee, undergoes dialysis three times a week, and suffers from heart failure, having endured quadruple bypass surgery and two strokes, along with several other serious health conditions. Despite his unimaginable pain, he has always maintained a gentle, positive attitude. He never complains unless he is truly in agony. He is the very definition of grace under pressure. Yesterday, after a grueling dialysis session, he stopped at the Roasters & Toasters in N. Miami for breakfast. Shortly after eating, he began to feel unwell, nauseous and dizzy. As he made his way to the restroom, he had an accident just outside the door. Embarrassed and distressed, he entered the bathroom to clean himself up and retrieve paper towels to clean the floor. What happened next was nothing short of cruel. Instead of offering assistance or even showing a modicum of human decency, the manager--an unkind and shockingly callous woman--began shouting at my disabled husband through the door, demanding he come out and clean up the mess. The servers, who know him and understood the situation, pleaded with her to show compassion. But she refused. She insisted she didn't care about his condition, and demanded he clean it and leave through the back door. My husband, with one leg, weak from dialysis and mortified by what had happened, did the best he could to clean up and quietly exited through the front door. When I went to speak with the manager during my lunch hour, hoping to explain how serious my husband's health issues are, her response was chilling. She told me, "What's happening to your husband is not my business." She asked me how I would like to clean up someone's mess, and said she simply didn't care. The psychological damage she caused with that heartless interaction is immeasurable. I have never seen my husband broken like this. A man who has endured so much with strength and dignity is now deeply hurt and emotionally shaken. I don't know how to comfort him. Her lack of empathy was not only unprofessional--it was inhumane. No person, especially someone with such visible health challenges, should be treated this way. The manager's behavior was unacceptable and deeply harmful. She should not be in a position of leadership or customer service. She should be held accountable. read more
