So I called Dunrite and was told they could either give me a new one or just have someone come and look at it - it probably wasn't a big problem. So I agreed to have someone look at it. They us Bodewell appliance services so they came and ordered 3 parts which were delivered to the house. when they came back to actually fix the dryer - they said they didn't need the parts - it was just a loose connection. At this point, I contacted Dunrite and said I just wanted a new unit. HOWEVER THEY FAILED TO MENTION TO ME DURING OUR ORIGINAL CONVERSATION THAT ONCE SERVICE COMES, DUNRITE CAN'T REPLACE THE UNIT. They are no longer involved - how unfortunate - they assured me that they would love to help me - however their hands are tied because now I was dealing with Bodewell. Dunrite was no longer responsible for the product they sold to me. This would have been so much easier if they had told me that when I was deciding whether to have it replaced or just try fixing it. Very disappointed and I won't be returning to the store for anything.

Last time it was a five week saga to get it fixed so this time my wife said call Dun Rite for a new one because all her friends swear by them. Over the phone salesman Lon Shomer gave me some options and recommended a couple of manufacturers. I came in and settled on Kitchenaid DW because Lon recommended it and it matches our dishwasher (with which my POS Samsung Refrigerator was purchased but also crapped out before five year warranty expired. Insurance company's repair guys came three times and never fixed the DW and pronounced it unfixable. I asked insurer to replace but they refused saying it was now past warranty expiration although the problem occurred before expiration and was never fixed! I learned that many repair guys will not even make a repair call on Samsung appliances. TVs and cell phones good, kitchen and laundry, fuhgataboutit! Anyway, Lon Shomer was a pleasure to work with and I highly recommend. Dun Rite's delivery guys were fantastic- came when they were supposed to, carted the fridge up some steps, removed and replaced door hardware to get the 36 inch wide fridge thru, connected the ice maker water line, set up the shelves, cleaned up afterwards and hauled the old fridge to the dump. They worked fast and left no scars! I asked if they sold them to repair guys and they said ... wait for this..."not Samsung".

After about 5 minutes he informed me that it was time to get a new washer and walked out. The second gentleman then told me it was 135 for the service call. I payed them in cash and he left. More importantly the washing machine only lasted 8 months before it stopped working, I had to pay them to repair it and the owner promised to cover the repair--meaning that if anything happened within 90 days, he would repair it for free. The machine broke down again not even two months later and he ignored me for a week when I tried to contact him and then eventually told me to get a local repair person. Long story short, I should've never tried it, but I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt as the owner sounded like a nice guy. I will probably end up buying new machines now as both machines are out and its not worthwhile to spend a lot of money to repair them.

A few years later my fridge needed another freon charge. A different guy showed up, wanted $275 for just the freon recharge. He claimed the price increase was due to freon prices rising. He came down to $250 and was going to charge for the visit anyway, so I had him do the job. Since then I bought a hose with a gauge and a can of freon and did it myself for around $30. The can of freon was around $12 - and I didn't use half of it.

They did have several different sizes, from smallish to quite large, but mostly red. They did have some Dandy Man plants in deep pink, already blooming, so I got those. We spoke about the scope of work. He told me his price. I mentioned to him that while this isn't an emergency repair call I did happen to have off work the very next day and asked if he could accommodate. He said sure no problem but I would have to be second stop and estimated arrival time ge stated was between 11am-12pm. I said great, thank you so much and appointment was booked. Day of service he got here ten minutes early at 10:50am. He assesses situation but said he didn't have the right size clamp to finish right now. I asked him to let me check if I happened to have it but of course of all the random parts and hardware I have collected over the years I didnt have it. He said he would then have to go to his 3rd stop, head back to shop to get clamp and then back to me stating he would be back around 2pm. Since I happened to read these negative yelp reviews after I booked him and before he arrived, I asked him outright to be honest and tell me before he left if he truly was going to be able make it back and he gave me his word. Which was acceptable to me because there are always two sides to every story / negative customer reviews and the second side of those is always unknown because the negative customer never let's anyone know their part in all of it!! Yet again, Marcin was on his way earlier than initially anticipated and came back to my house around 1:30pm to finish the work. He nailed the repair in 20 minutes and was out my door right around 2pm. I even asked him to assess our washer and dryer and he told me straight up that for us to pay him to repair then wouldn't be cost effective to us like a true honest professional should treat his customers!
