Ceiling panel missing, possible leak? Garbage can catching it? Super loud hallway floora

This is a really nice place and it is pretty modern. We stayed here 4 years ago when they had newly opened. We found this place to be very inviting, modern, and stylish with the decor. We were greeted by a nice gentlemen, I believe he is the person I spoke to when I called to see if there were any available rooms. Checking in was fast and seamless. We were happy to see that it looked the same. Nothing much has changed except for the decor in the front and the items at the little shop. On our way to our room, the hallway floors were really loud. We saw what looked like a vent open, I'm guessing there's a water leak because there was a trash can on the floor. When we got to the room, we saw large cracks by the window and the a/c. It looked really bad, more than something that could be touched up. I'm not sure if it's structurally safe. Other than that, the room was clean and spacious. The bed was tall, where you can jump on it and super comfy. Definitely, had a good night sleep after a 14-hour drive. For the price and location, not a bad place to stay. I hope they are going to be doing some renovating in the future.

I have stayed at this hotel driving cross country. I will not stay at this IHG again. The price was 177.00 for a Monday night. The breakfast price 10.00 per person. For liquid eggs and turkey sausage. I was in room 306 first as you enter carpet frayed and ripped. The corner of bathroom mirror broken. The shower had broken tiles and the vanity caulking looked like a two year old attempt. The window never cleaned. Sad but this hotel gone to shit.

3.5 stars This hotel is part of new development along Interstate 40 (and conveniently located within walking distance of the Big Texan). Everything was clean, beds were comfortable, and bathrooms were huge. For the price, you would think it would at least include complimentary breakfast, but the hours are limited as well. I didn't even bother taking a look at the breakfast menu. For about the same price or a little more, we could've gotten breakfast and a less crowded pool stay. 2021 #35

I usually like holiday inn but this location was not a good stay. I could not get the tv to work correctly and called down to the front desk for help. The response was " I'll be up shortly to look at it" 30 minutes later I go down stairs and the front desk person is chatting with a coworker..... nice. The room was clean and absurdly huge. In the future I'll drive past.

Stayed here returning from a road trip. This location is kind of confusing. It looks new outside and in the lobby, but there are some cracks in the "new" facade. The front desk staff was fine, not overly friendly, but that's not a huge issue. The front desk person agreed to change our room, because we couldn't reserve the room we wanted online. Nice. She gave all the usual welcome type of things but I definitely did not feel any sincerity in her tone. Maybe other guests had been jerks? Not sure. We got to our room and walked in, we were wowed by it initially, but that changed quickly. There's still a standard air/heater near the window but there's left over sticky tape near the dial. There's a wall thermostat which doesn't work, all the controls are at the sticky unit itself. We tried to microwave some food, but the microwave was unplugged. Okay, easy fix, we plug it in and it works. Well, to a point, after a little while it starts making beeping noises. So we unplugged it again. Then went to turn on the tv, good luck with that. No remote control and it appears that the tv should pivot but doesn't. I called the desk and they brought up a tv remote (without wearing a mask) which was all taped together and only some functions worked. Okay so other impressions. We got a suite so we could sit in the small sitting area and watch tv. Unlike every other suite we've reserved, no tv in the sitting area. So odd, I guess you sit in the couch and stare at the wall (or the tv that doesn't pivot in the bedroom area). Now to the bathroom, the counter and sink area look brand new and beautiful, but then you look at the tub which is all scratched up with moldy looking grout. Okay I guess that's not the end of the world. Overall, for the price, it was an okay stay, but I wouldn't want to stay for long. One plus full continental breakfast that was wide open (unlike any of our other hotels where the hotel staff had to provide food.

We had a great experience at this full service Holiday Inn. It's beautiful, clean, and modern. The rooms are great. They have a full service restaurant and bar. The lobby is huge with plenty of space to hang out if you are with a group. We had an all day meeting and the staff was attentive and helpful. They have been open about 7 months and are working out a few kinks with events. Elvia was awesome! There is an express Holiday Inn close by so be careful when you book.

Room was huge. Great price really clean and a friendly staff. They have a restaurant and a bar in the hotel. Beds are really comfortable and the pillows are amazing. We ordered some and they are being shipped to the house. The pool and jacuzzi were out of order for maintenance but not a big deal. Breakfast would have been $10 more added to the bill for 2 of us but we passed

One of the biggest issues was the lack of consistent air conditioning throughout the building, which made common areas feel uncomfortable at times. I also found the terrace layout inconvenient since there are no stairs providing direct access, making it less practical than expected. Unfortunately, the room had a funky odor when I arrived that never completely went away during my stay. While the staff was courteous and the location was convenient, the overall experience didn't match the quality I expected. With some renovations and improved upkeep, this hotel could be a much better place to stay.

I am the single mom who brought her kids here to share the Mesquite room on October 9-10, 2022. This bed and breakfast is located in a somewhat remote area of Amarillo, Texas. The surrounding landscape is a bit reminiscent of Palo Duro Canyon - which is just a short drive away - but not in an extreme way that the Lone Star state park yields. The view from the hot tub at 7:30PM was amazing with a glorious display of sunset colors. Robes were provided behind the bathroom door. Near the pond on the old red, white, and blue amusement park ride chair, we found a walking stick. A friendly orange Tabby cat kept returning to our front door. My 8 and 9-year-old couldn't resist petting the stray feline. We weren't crazy about the continental breakfast which comprised of a cherry turnover, Yoplait yogurt, and Tropicana apple juice so we'll pass on that if we don't stay on a morning when they offer a hot meal. Just a couple of other cons: I leave to pick up pizza in town and someone takes my spot in front of our door. Lol. Also, my stupid Sprint/T-mobile coverage was terrible here. The other accomodations definitely overrode the somewhat lacking Monday morning breakfast: quiet neighborhood, calm weather, microwave, mini fridge, iron & board, lots of programs on the TV, free Wi-Fi, walk-in shower, and private gated area with code access.

We stayed in the Pinion. The positives. It's remote and really close to Palo Duro Canyon (18 minutes) That was nice. It's about 12 minutes from the Big Texan. It's in a pretty setting. The bed was comfy. We stay at B&B's because there is a level of expectation where hospitality takes over and you feel like you were being treated like royalty. This is not that place. It almost felt like our stay was a little bit of an inconvenience. The room is small and very dated, but covered in wood plank and not very clean. A lot of dust. This particular room did not have a shower and only a bath tub with the hot water trickles out. I'm not joking. It took about 30 minutes to fill the bathtub. Tip 1. Make sure to ask if the room you are booking has a shower if you're needing a shower for medical reasons or handicap accessibility. According to one of the reviews, and in their pictures, there appeared to be a nice shower in the mesquite, but we weren't given the chance to stay there. Once you get in the room, you're given two towels for the bath and two towels for the hot tub. I uncovered the hot tub to see that the water was very cloudy and it wasn't a result of the bubbles. So I put the cover right back on. They don't give you anything with respect to toiletries when it comes to soap or shampoo or lotions or bath bomb. So it really does feel like you're not being pampered. Bed And Breakfast should always feel like you're being pampered. And inside the room, you're not giving any type of bottled water, filtered water and so you rely on the bathroom sink in the bathroom tub. Which I thought was really bad. The outside of the room was covered in Pineneedles on the walkway, and so we tracked some into a room. When we were trying to get into the door, some even to get into the wheels of our suitcase. It was kind of annoying. The area is just really dated and not well kept. However, that does give it a very rustic feel and so if you're into that kind of thing that it may suit your fancy. It does have a really cute cat that keeps you company in the random deer that you will see from time to time. Overall, I'm sure it meets the needs of a specific clientele that would enjoy that atmosphere but when I go to a bed-and-breakfast, I consider myself to be high maintenance. So they certainly could meet the need a specific individuals however, it's not a place that I would really return to .
