I've stay here many times and that's a testament enough to how nice this particular Hampton is. Not just Pet-friendly in name, pets are truly welcome and my cat Simba, is greeted with treats and toys when we check in. I checked in here quick Saturday night while my family and I are in transit from FL to NJ (with an infant). I called to make the reservation 10 minutes before getting off the exit. From making the reservation to the cleanliness of the hotel and room itself, to the customer service of the front desk associate, I couldn't have asked for a better experience. We were on our way to check out early this morning and was just getting ready to grab a coffee. Then we smelled the breakfast and decided to sit and grab food. Egg omelets, French toast, bagels, muffins, coffee, fresh fruit, everything was delicious, clean, and hospitable. Definitely needs a renovation m. The staff is wonderful and helpful. Breakfast was great. Bed was decent and room was clean. Only issue was the chair in the room looked like it had been peed on multiple times and had white stuff- let's hope it was paint on it. Definitely needs to be thrown out. Conditioner in bathroom was broken and sitting on corner of tub. Just disappointed for a Hilton brand hotel. Staff was wonderful for the past 3 days but front desk clerk was preoccupied on her personal cell in back office instead of helping with check out and not real friendly. I will give her the benefit of the doubt that she was dealing with a personal issue. I hear they have a renovation coming soon. So after the renovation, I would stay again. read more

I was in town for one night. This hotel is in a great location because it's close to the highway, mall, shopping plazas, and restaurants. The lobby/dining is modern with darker wood finishes and furniture in different shades of blue. The customer service from the front desk associate was exceptional! He was friendly and attentive and check in was a breeze. The business center has MAC computers. I liked my room and the bed was super comfy. I loved the bathroom door with the mirror--it was on a slide and covered the bathroom or the closet. The breakfast had the typical hotel breakfast items, oatmeal, cereal, mixed fruit, omelettes, sausage links, bread, muffins, hard boiled eggs, a waffle maker, etc. I would stay here again! read more

Stay exceeded our expectations! Conveniently located off of I-95. Every staff member was welcoming, friendly and engaging. They all offered any assistance we needed to assure we had a good stay. The hot breakfast was delicious and offered a wide variety to meet everyone's needs. Hotel was clean and comfortable. We have stayed three times in the past year and every stay has been at the same level of excellence! There are a variety of restaurants near the hotel and shopping. We stopped here on our way back to Florida from DC. We were impressed from the second we walked through the door. The staff was very friendly and the lobby was cozy. It looks like the hotel has been recently renovated. Our room was huge and very nicely decorated. We had a kitchenette area, a living room with a sofa bed, a large hallway with a sink, a large bedroom with a king bed & a huge bathroom. It was the nicest Hampton Inn we had ever stayed in. The breakfast area was very clean and nicely organized. There are many restaurants nearby and some that are walkable. We walked to a Mexican restaurant we found on Yelp called La Bamba and had a fabulous meal. I highly recommend this hotel! read more

There are some real dives in Florence and I have been stopping there for twenty years on my way to and from Myrtle Beach. This is my new "go to" place. So Nice! Visited September 2016. This is the nicest Hampton Inn I've ever stayed in and I've stayed in many over the years. I love me a good Hampton Inn. Even though this hotel is 18 years old, it was just renovated in March of 2016 and looks brand new. The rooms are super modern with every feature you would want in a hotel room. They did not forget anything. The staff is super friendly. Breakfast in the morning is free and your standard Hampton Inn fare. Eggs, sausage, biscuits, sweets, waffles, yogurt, fruit, cereal, good coffee, etc. It is conveniently located right off of 95. Nice, Nice, Nice! I stay at a LOT of Hampton Inns. Over 60 stays at Hilton properties this year alone. This is one of the nicest Hampton Inns I have ever stayed at. The exterior and the landscaping is very nice. The lobby is nice. A warm, inviting space overlooking the pool. The lady who checked me in was really southern nice. She really went out of her way to help the elderly guest checking in before me with a long list of needs. By "southern nice" I mean she put up with a lot of BS with a smile on her face. Dude was from New Jersey. He wasn't nice. The hotel layout is not the typical Hampton Inn shotgun design, but instead, it wraps around the pool. That's nice. The pool area is very clean and inviting. Super nice. Thoughtful, out-of-the-way yet protected-from-the-weather places for smokers to get their nicotine fix with great seating, lighting and even ceiling fans??? That's something Country Inns does, while the Hampton Inns usually have you sitting out on a bench on the other side of the entrance with virtually no weather cover. WOW, THAT'S NICE! The room has the new "modern" Hampton design elements and it's all very nice. Big TV. Probably 42 inch? Nice. I usually stay at the Hilton Garden Inn next door because this Hampton is usually the same price or more than the more-upscale sister property. Now I know why.... Nice, nice, nice. I stay at a lot of Hampton Inns, because they suit the family perfectly. It is why I payed the extra $$ compared to other hotels nearby. I was not happy with the quality of this hotel compared next to other Hampton Inns I've stayed at. The hallways and room smelled musky and had a hint of smoke. We specifically asked for a non smoking room. The bathroom fixtures were old, caulking needs to be redone. The bed, sheets, and pillows were all fine. They smelled clean and felt great. I was just not as happy when stacked up to other Hampton Inns. Sadly we missed breakfast due to getting up to late. They stop serving at 10am and we were on a family holiday for the 4th of July. read more

I am a Hilton Honors member and travel frequently. On this trip we stayed at 4 separate Hilton family hotels. The last time we stayed at this particular location was about 4 years ago, having had a good experience we elected to stay there again... mistake! This location has not been maintained very well since our last visit. Starting with the door to our room, there wasn't a wall or surface that had been cleaned or maintained in a while, perhaps since our last visit. The room smelled like a heavy disinfectant/perfume as if to attempt to mask odors. Additionally, the lack of an electronic key was a let down. read more

I was driving from Florida to Philly and needed a good nights sleep at the half way point. Thought Hampton Inn would be a good quality place because it was one of the most expensive in the area ($145.00 with tax). I got a room on the ground floor. Shortly after 10:00 at night a bunch of guys set up a BBQ grill about 10 feet from my window and started cooking. I went down to the front desk and complained but was told these guys lived at the hotel and were allowed to BBQ there. Needless to say, I didn't get much sleep that night. I don't know why these guys were living at the hotel but if you are a traveler looking for a quiet place to rest I would not recommend a hotel that caters to long term residents who apparently don't have to get up the next day. read more

We stayed at this Hampton Inn on the way to Florida. After reading reviews, we noticed that this one actually has a 1-bedroom king suite, which means a bedroom with a door, separated from another room that is a living area. It must have been built for another chain, because usually Hampton suites are a big studio suite. We enjoyed the spacious rooms that looked like they had been recently updated. We had read a criticism of the furniture as someone thought it was old. To us it looked like new furniture in an older traditional style, which we liked. The front staff were not very friendly, and I had to ask for water even though we are rewards members. However, the breakfast ladies were providing great service with a smile, especially Carolyn, who seemed so happy to serve each customer individually due to the restrictions. A bonus is that the wonderful Florence Veterans Park is near the hotel. read more

I stay at a lot of Hampton Inn's when I travel. I actually stayed at another Hilton brand hotel my first night and decided to switch after that. Hampton Inn offers a good got breakfast and has better beds than the hotel I slept at my first night. The rooms and the hotel are very clean. The halls do smell a little like stale smoke but that smell doesn't come into the rooms. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area. read more

Our room was THE BEST EVER...We got a King bed suite for our family of 6 traveling back to Northern Virginia from a Cruise in Florida. Being in a cruise ship stateroom for 4 nights was fine, but getting here & having the space this room had was wonderful. Our kids had a room to hang & my husband & I had the bedroom to hang out. We really needed the space after the cruise & the car ride & this room totally delivered. Great location to restaurants also! We were on the first floor to there was no smell of smoke for us at all. We went on a road trip and stopped at this Hampton Inn suites to rest after my allergies started to kick in. We were able to get a room with two beds. As soon as we walked into the room my son tells me the room smelled weird. I couldn't smell anything at that time. After the kids played then we all prepared to go to sleep one of my kids tells me they smell urine. I had a stuffed up nose from allergies and told my kids that it was probably just the room being stuffy. During the night as my allergy medication was working I was able to smell more and was woken up to a strong odor of urine. When we went to The front desk to check out I told the front desk and they had maintenance come up to the room with us to check it out. The maintenance man was able to see the urine stain in between both beds where we walked and the kids played. He tells me sometimes people get up from bed and not bother to walk all the way to the bathroom and P right there...what??? This completely changed my look on hotels I am grossed out. The only thing that this hotel did for us was not charge us for our stay. I am disgusted and shocked that the cleaning crew did not notice this. read more

Wow! What service. Pulled in after a long drive from NY and the desk clerks did everything and more to give us the best they could offer. We were asked about any discount memberships that were had and then when the clerk noticed that I was a veteran by the code on my license, he promptly thanked me for my service and added an additional discount. Our room was recently renovated in a contemporary style. It was clean, comfortable and had a view of the nice pool area. The hotel is walking distance to shopping, lots of restaurants, the civic center and a movie theater. What makes this hotel great though is the staff. Everyone that we met, from the front desk, housekeeping and maintenance (not needed, just met in the parking lot) was friendly, professional and very helpful. Usually, I use garden inn at exit 160a. But decided to try different hotel so made reservation at Hampton. The hotels are same in price so expected same type of experience, however I was disappointed with some aspects. First and main thing is there were some kind of small flying bugs in the room. Not just one spent and hour swatting, but couldn't get them all. Then next is the small fridge is virtual on the floor as well as the coffee/microwave. Had to get on the floor to put my cold items in the fridge and use the microwave. Very basic tv remote no menu function. The chair in the room was so uncomfortable to watch tv in. I am considered to be short at 5'3 so seems a bit strange to be uncomfortable as that. I was in a one Gueen room. The room itself look good and clean but for the money, I didn't need the extra roommates buzzy around my head. read more
