My husband and I did a road trip from south Florida to Philadelphia and this hotel is a perfect stop to divide the trip. Conveniently located not far from Buc-ee's, a mall, and restaurants. Staff is very courteous and professional. Room is spacious with microwave, fridge, and coffee machine. Spacious bathroom, sink, and shower. What I like about the shower is the knob is by the sliding glass door so you can get the right temperature before jumping in. I also love the lavender and eucalyptus scent of the shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. Very invigorating. Bed is very comfortable. Gym is nice and clean. Not too big. It has treadmills and elliptical machines, dumbbells, and stability ball. It opens 24 hours. Complimentary breakfast: good selections from bagel, bread, cereal, oatmeal, hard boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, waffle maker, turkey sausages. Oatmeal is perfectly cooked. It's unsweetened so it's healthy. They provide various toppings such as brown sugar, dried cranberries, nuts. The scrambled egg is not too salty and not watery. I really enjoyed my healthy breakfast. You can also grab bananas and oranges. The plates and bowls are made with sturdy paper so they are environmentally friendly. At the breakfast station they also offer variety of juices, teas, and coffee including decaf. I definitely come back to stay. read more

This is a nice cleaner newer Marriott property. The staff are very friendly and professional. Breakfast is average. Room was very clean, Mattress OK. Easy to get spoiled when you've stayed at some of the better Marriott resorts and boutique hotels. My main beef is the same as it is with many properties in this price range. Tub showers and no handheld shower head. At this particular property room - my biggest issue and it's so avoidable. An unusable iron. And I had no time to call for a new one. Just wanted to iron a shirt to take to a meeting. I only need a long sleeve type shirt on so many days/meetings but when you do you want a clean iron Also I hate these little coffee makers. At least this one was fairly clean. Would like to see all new hotels in this range to have mostly walk in showers! Maybe a few with tubs for people traveling with kids, but I don't know many people who want to take a bath at a hotel. Nespresso machine for coffee, and a premium mattress. read more

I chose Fairfield due to being a prior guest and it's a listed hotel under Marriott. I get points for each stay. What stood out the most is the service, amenities and the rooms. Guest services were very professional. The attendant that was checking us in was also multitasking. He had a couple of calls and he was training another attendant. I was impressed as he handled it all well. The Fitness center is spacious. 5 treadmills and various weight machines. The pool is adjacent to the Fitness Center. Both areas were clean no dirty towels lying around . The rooms are nice. We have 2 queen beds. Since we are here 2 nights it's recommended you request for housekeeping as they do not provide additional towels. I submitted the request after the reservation. So hopefully we will have clean towels tomorrow. I noticed the snack stand when checking in. Fully stocked . I didn't check prices The dining area is spacious. Breakfast served every morning. The first at this location certainly not our last. read more

Fairfield Inn & Suites - Florence, SC Stayed: 08/12/25 My husband, our 18-year-old daughter, and I stayed here for one night on our way to Lynchburg, VA for Liberty University's move-in week--and I'm so glad we chose this hotel! We arrived in the evening, and the woman who checked us in was absolutely amazing. Honestly, she was the best part of the experience and truly deserves a raise! She went above and beyond--helped me figure out how to use my points, made sure we were all set, and even helped us grab a few drinks to go with our dinner we'd ordered in. She was friendly, efficient, and made us feel completely taken care of. ‍ Even the morning staff the next day was fantastic--friendly, welcoming, and made checkout smooth. It's clear the team at this location cares about their guests. The room was clean, the coffee pot was stocked, and everything was just right for a quick overnight stay. We're already planning to stay here again next time we head up to Lynchburg. Another thing I really appreciated was the nice, big parking lot--it's well-lit and easy to navigate, and the whole property felt safe and secure for families, even when arriving later in the evening. ‍‍ That kind of peace of mind makes a big difference when you're traveling with loved ones. Only downside: the pool area could use a little improvement. ‍ The pool itself is very small, and I really wish they had a hot tub--that would've made it perfect. That said, I really appreciated that the pool is open year-round, which is something we always look for when traveling. This was a great exit to stop at off 95 (160?) There are a lot of restaurants and hotels and gas is very reasonable. We went to Murphy and it was only $2.68 when last gas stop, traveling north, was $3.49! We got a Suite and it was only $115 with taxes! Very worth it. Breakfast included was darn good too. They had oatmeal that wasn't thick, toppings, prepared sandwiches, good coffee, bacon and some cold cereal, yogurt etc.. The best was you could ask for gf! They had Udi's Gluten free bagels that I don't like and Blueberry muffins that were terrific. The woman working breakfast so extremely accommodating and friendly. The place looked clean but when I dropped something near the coffee station it was not mopped very well under there. This was a good buy all in all. read more

Great hotel. Room was new and breakfast was well above average, with mini quiche, breakfast sandwiches and waffles. The only minor problem we had was that the TV was still in store demo mode and kept flashing ads with no way to disable this. Definitely would stay here again though. read more

Front office manager Lauren Barwick was very unprofessional, I am 67 years old and she kept addressing me as baby and sweetheart during our conversation to extend my stay for a third night. She also kept saying it will be more money ...finally I told her to tell me how much it would cost to upgrade to a two bedroom, if I wasn't waiting on family member to arrive I would have checked out. A have switch over to Marriott for their benefits, clean hotels and mini kitchens! Unfortunately, I was not happy with this location. When you first come in, it's very nice but when you get to the floors you are on it has a pretty my room was also very musky and didn't have a great smell to it either. Property was very clean, the front desk clerk was so kind and accommodating it made up for the bad experience up the road! She even gave us dinner recommendations! If all you need is a place to crash, this is good spot. Looks relatively new and with only 4 floors, it's not a crazy rush of people during peak times. For this class of hotel, definitely 4 stars. Rooms were clean and lobby was fairly modern. Business area, sitting space, and cafe-like dining area. Free breakfast - continental, powdered eggs, make your own waffles, and coffee bar. Location wise, good exit as there is a strip mall across the street with BestBuy and Chik Fil A, so you get the idea of the size of the shopping area. A few restaurants including an Olive Garden and there's even a Home Depot really close. There are at least 4 (maybe more) other Marriott properties along the same stretch of parking lot so plenty of choices. I wouldn't hesitate to use this property again. read more

This hotel was only so-so and we were expecting something better from Marriott. The decor is outdated which is not important but carpeting needs replacing since it seems dirty. Rooms were OK with normal amenities. TV was small and placed on the side of the two double beds so that when I was trying to view the TV from the bed on farther side, and my sister was on her computer, I could not view the TV very well. It was an awkward setup. Linens are not plush at all and the coverlet was thin. There was no complimentary breakfast or even coffee. There's a station set up (bar style) to order coffee and it seems they had Dunkin and/or Starbucks. We waited there for a few minutes but no one came to assist so we left and went out for coffee. This was an on-the-road stop for us and it met our needs, but we were expecting something nicer than what we found at this hotel. read more

The hotel has a nice lobby and very nice, clean large rooms, with excellent study area, great gym and pool, but many deficiencies. There was no soap in the bathroom, not even a bar at the sink. Instead a liquid body wash dispenser in the shower. The large conditioner dispenser detached from the shower tile and made a huge bang that awoke us in the wee hours. The clock had a screen that was invisible and only the faintest light when the room was pitchblack, no time visible. Dimmer didn't work- clock cord is locked to night table- can't be moved. Much of the time, it was impossible to turn on the tv next to the bed. Took about 12 clicks of the power button to get it to start. Then, before breakfast, it went on right away. The breakfast is a sad decline from previous meals here. No meats- only 6 prepackaged sausage biscuits. Fruit was a very few apples. No waffle machine. One kind of only vanilla yogurt. Cereals limited to 4 prepackaged cups of Total and Rice Chex, but did have hot oatmeal and grits. 2 hardened bagels (plenty of prepackaged gluten free bagels). No regular coffee- only bold and decaf. Pastries were a few prepackaged mini blueberry muffins. I know you don't depend on breakfast to choose lodging, but the sad state of these offerings shows a distinct effort to lower cost by cutting quality. read more

This hotel is incredible. Perfectly clean, organized, friendly staff who go out of their way to greet you and answer any questions One big shout out for the spotless breakfast and a woman named Rose. She sets out all the food and stays there to continuously clean everything. There is not a crumb to be found. The tables are spotless. She is warm and friendly. Located at the end of Hospitality Drive, surrounded by pretty much every other brand of Marriott that you can think of, the Fairfield Inn is your basic hotel for a night or two in the Florence area. Check-in was easy, and the lobby was clean and welcoming. Elevator took us right to the floor that we selected, so no complaints there. The Inn has a pool and a workout room, but nobody was using the workout room any time that I walked by. Breakfast is complimentary in the morning, but keeping it stocked seemed to be a problem. Sign advertised bacon, but the container had ham, sausage, and sausage. Disappointed there was no bacon. Room was clean and shower had sufficient pressure. Pillows on the bed had no firmness to them, and when I tried to place two under my head, I felt like a was slipping in to a melting marshmallow. Overall, I'm not knocking the place, but it was just average to me and nothing stood out that lead me to give more than an average star rating. read more

We were excited to stay here because it was a Marriott and saw some good reviews, but SUPER disappointed when we got there. Bathroom smelled like urine. Only one towel. Floor was dirty especially around the toilet because of urine. I had to wipe the entire floor and toilet with clorox! Even my kids didn't want to go in the bathroom so they didn't end up taking a shower! Bathtub walls didn't look like it was cleaned either. Only 1 staff for the entire hotel so there was nothing they can do about the bathroom and they didn't offer us another room. Pillows had hair in all the pillows I looked at. Had to go to lobby and grab some new pillow sheets. I was not comfortable in the room and didn't want to stay but had no choice. Thankfully it was only 1 night! Also we left an item in the room and when we called the same day after we left, they said it was not there and the cleaner had not found it and nothing at the lost and found. Very surprised because it was not a small item but a big item so I'm sure the cleaner would have seen it. No way it was not seen or found. What that person did with, is the question. After seeing some other negative reviews on TripAdvisor and Marriott, wish I had read those reviews first before booking! Never staying in a Fairfield Inn again. read more

Stopped here for one night, while road tripping it to Orlando. We checked in online. Arriving at the hotel we were pleasantly greeted and given our room keys. From the lobby to our room... the hotel was very clean. The hotel is only 4 floors and our room was on the 4th floor. The room was very clean and smelled fresh. The bathroom was tidy, however I was surprised by the tub/shower combo. If you're a soaking bath person... the tub is low and small. Probably not the best bathroom set up. This hotel offers free continental breakfast. Again the food area was clean and the staff kept the area wiped down, the food hot and greeted everyone who came in. I would definitely stay at this hotel again and highly recommend it! overall the cleanliness and pleasant customer service was a plus for me!!! read more

One person for a new establishment is hardly sufficient. Unless your desire is to stay and remain small and not busy. The tubs I am a little confused? As low as they are they should have just done away with tubs altogether and did walk-in showers, this would have been a plus in my book.You don't find too many NEW establishments still using shower curtains? Overall the stay was just standard sub-par but I have definitely experienced better. Staff could use more training but kudos to housekeeping! Not sure if I will return as it was just okay!! My family and stayed this weekend on our way to Florida. Great place to stay Very close to 95, also centrally locates near lots of eateries. The front desk person was helpful, able to check in early. It was very clean everywhere. Extremely type A personality so clean is very important. I checked mattress which gets a check plus. After driving a long day during COVID-19 it was great to stop here for the night. They were practicing good social distancing, staff was wearing masks and everything looked very clean. Our room was clean and fresh. Although the kitchen was not open due to the pandemic, we were able to do carry out and eat it in the empty dining room - much better than using our room. Bertina Hudson at the Front Desk gave good recommendations for a restaurant and was helpful in making the checkin quick and efficient. As we travel frequently between Florida and Washington DC we will certainly use this property again. read more

Nice new property well staffed and very clean. The rooms are well thought out and have all the charges via USB ports all over room on night stand and desk. Bath is large and clean. Beds are very nice and comfortable. The AC and heat is place in a position that actually helps maintain room temp.
