    Pool lounge area

Friendly staff, nice breakfast. We enjoyed the pool. The very minor cons: cosmetic issues like mismatched paint and we could only get limited cable channels and no streaming on the TV. Pros: Everything was clean and well kept, I felt safe, the bed was comfy. Cute pool area.

Holes in the wall in the bathroom

Hotel is old and dated. Pool area floor around hot tub and pool is chipped cement, railing missing from hot tub, piece of cement went into my foot, hot tub warm and only a couple of jets worked on low. Wallpaper bubbling off wall in room, pillows and bed horrible, holes in walls, coffee maker in bathroom across from toilet, gross carpet , breakfast was blah, they had green bananas that you couldn't eat. When booked was asked if we were celebrating anything, I let them know my husbands birthday. No one acknowledge it or did anything special. We could have chosen other hotels but did so because of hot tub and Hilton has always had great hotels. Will never stay here again.

To make it easy for you - I would stay here again!!! If you want more.... we had a pleasant stay here. Easily accessible right off the freeway and fairly near everywhere we wanted to visit. We came up to Folsom to apple pick, not realizing we actually missed the apple picking season by about a month, oops. In any case, it was a nice hotel, staff were friendly, it wasn't too noisy, fairly clean, and comfortable. They offered a few breakfast items that you can take with you.

Great location in a growing area, right off of the highway. Plenty of shops and restaurants in close proximity and about 20-25 minutes outside of downtown Sacramento. Open free parking. The staff is really nice and there is a breakfast each morning, two of which change daily. The rooms have mobile key entry and you choose your room prior to visiting. Nice size fitness center, also a pool. The King room is cozy with a small fridge. One small disappointment was that the on-screen channel guide does not match the actual channels.

We stayed here as a Staycation and the room was clean and nice. I like that you can check in online and with the App no need to visit the front desk. The door had a clean/sanitized sticker seal. I like the keyless entry with the App. The room was good sized and smelled clean. The bed was not as comfortable as I would have liked but we had a great stay. It is a nice location with lots of shops, stores a d restaurants nearby.

I came here in December with my Husband and Son and Mother. We got two rooms. We really loved it. Max who helped us was really great and infomativie and professional. The rooms were perfect. They have a lovely Fireplace in the lobby when you enter with coffee and a variety of teas. They have a great breakfast included. A lot of options. Hot and Cold. Indoor pool and hottub. Gym. It is also close to a lot of restaurants and stores. I will always come here. Thanks Max!

Unbelievable hospitality. Thank you Jeff Hylton for making our stay enjoyable, and more so comfortable with our service dog. We appreciate it immensely!

Well.. I think we have found our prefect hotel. Our family has been staying in a lot of hotels this…read moreyear and we have experienced a range of hotels . We made our annual trip to Sacramento for our oldest doctors appointment. We have done this for the last 5 years and have experienced a variety of hotels in Sacramento and this one beats them all. We are a family of 5 so it is a big bonus to have a one bedroom and a small kitchen in the room. Having the one bedroom was a big help for getting kids to sleep at night. Also having a kitchen so that we eat together was also a big plus. Pros- Free breakfast Social reception on Tuesday & Wednesday - meatball subs, salad bar, wine, beer and soda. It's at our family for dinner that night which is a big bonus when you travel with children. Free laundry.. I was surprised by that. No cash needed Nice indoor pool- with towels Monday- We received two free drinks per adult Costco-if you're a Costco member.. if you need dinner.. well your luck because there is a Costco within a minute of the hotel. We got a $10 pizza from the pizza court to feed our family on Monday. Coffee and Tea- they had coffee and tea readily available in the lobby and in your room. Apple Hill- located just up the road about 30mins. We went to Boa Vista before heading home. Fun area- located next to all kinds of restaurants, shops and movie theaters Housekeeping-- they actually HAD staff there to clean our room. They were quick efficient and did a light touchup by making our beds taking out the trash and providing new towels. We recently stayed at a hotel (a Marriott) when we left for the day they told us they didn't have the staff to touch up the room. We only had one small incident and it was quickly handled. I was doing dishes by hand because we didn't have very many and I decided to open up the dishwasher to just set the clean dishes on the rack while I finish them up and a butter knife fell to the bottom of the dishwasher. I went down to pick it up and almost got cut with glass because there was a broken glass at the bottom of the dishwasher. I called the front desk and since we were heading out anyway, they did the room touchup and took care of the glass before we came back. We look forward to going back more often not only for when we head up to the doctors but also when we wanna go to Apple Hill or do any other business in Sacramento area .

The rooms all have a full sized kitchenette .... full sized and "ette" go together? There is a full sized fridge and microwave, even a dishwasher to go with the 2 burner electric stove top. Dishes, pot and pans and cooking utensils are included as well as forks, spoons and knives. The rooms are really setup for extended stay work situations. The hotel even has free self serve laundry! To make these work trips not so stressful, there's even a happy hour with free light dinner food Monday thru Wed. BBQ's are available by the indoor pool outdoors in the patio. The happy hour even has beer and wine. Service was great with an early check in. This is a really nice property. Breakfast is included everyday for guests too! Real hot breakfast, none of this stale doughnut and weak coffee excuse of a continental breakfast. I will have to say though, the hot food items are not so good and the Holiday Inn Express is way better when it comes to breakfast. Something to think about if you're staying for an extended stay. If you do want to go out to eat, almost every chain restaurant you can imagine is in the direct area, but still a drive, there's not much to walk to from here. You COULD walk to Costco and get one of those $5 chickens! That makes for good multiple meals in the room. Overall, it's a good stay, I mean breakfast is just standard, but the coffee is out all the time and that's good. The room was clean and hot water was endless. No time to use the pool though.

As a Marriott Rewards member I was initially impressed that the hotel had read and honored our request for a room on a high floor away from the elevator, and for extra towels, but it was downhill from there. The clerk who checked us in seemed to be there just for a paycheck. She didn't seem very happy to be there, nor was she friendly. When we got to our room we were unable to get him. The housekeeper was right there and she couldn't get in with her key either. We had to wait for maintenance to come and change the batteries in our door lock. While we DID get extra bath towels, we did NOT get extra of anything else. Two washcloths and two hand towels for four people. The air in the room can only be off or on cold. No heat. In order to get the room warm you had to turn the air up to 73 at which point the arctic blast would come on. The problem was that if you turned it off completely, it would be too stuffy. The windows don't open, so natural air was not an option. The bathroom fan is LOUD and stays on 24-7. We were told it's to keep the moisture out and avoid mildew. Despite the 24-7 cyclone, the fan doesn't actually clear the air in the bathroom. When someone showers the room steams up terribly and it's HOT. And despite their efforts, still mildew. The tiles in the bathroom are cracked and walking on them makes weird noises and feels like you're going to fall through. The beds were SO uncomfortable! We tossed and turned all night long. We definitely will NEVER stay here again.

They also offer a continental breakfast and a heated pool, which were nice added amenities.

Booked a 2-night stay here for a work trip, and I'm writing this review from bed on night one…read morebecause this has honestly been one of the worst hotel experiences I've had. At first glance, the room looks spacious and fairly nice, but once you start paying attention, you realize how old and worn down the property really is. The bathroom has rust and stains, there was visible dust in multiple areas, and some of the plates and cutlery in the room were dirty. The couch is heavily faded and looks like it has seen much better days. The biggest disappointment is the bed. The mattress feels as hard as the floor, the sheets are rough and uncomfortable, and the pillows are so old and flat that they provide virtually no support. I've been lying here trying to get comfortable, and my arm keeps going numb. The air conditioning has made the experience even worse. I set the thermostat to 68 degrees, but the room remains stuck around 73 degrees and appears to be on some sort of timer or energy-saving system that prevents the room from actually cooling down. It's currently so warm in the room that I literally can't sleep. What's the point of paying for a hotel room if you have no control over the temperature of the room you're sleeping in? A comfortable night's sleep is one of the most basic expectations when booking a hotel. To make matters worse, they charge $12 per night for parking. Paying extra for parking at a property in this condition is frustrating and feels like adding insult to injury. Honestly, I'm seriously considering checking out early and not staying for my second night. Looking back, I should have spent a little more money and stayed next door at the Courtyard by Marriott Sacramento Folsom instead. Between the outdated room, cleanliness issues, uncomfortable bed, worn-out pillows, and a thermostat that doesn't actually let guests control the room temperature, this stay has been a huge disappointment. Unfortunately, I won't be staying here again.

I got a room as requested and my welcome rewards points were posted right away to my account. MY room was clean and the AC worked well and the WiFi speed has increased since my last stay 8 years ago. No problem streaming and getting work done. OK, now to my complaints. They switched the 24/7 coffee from big dispensing carafes to these new "fangled" self grinding, brewing and pouring out single serving machines. There's a touch screen interface, so if you're a senior citizen that isn't all modern computerized, you might have a problem, verses the old just plain push button and coffee comes out carafe. It takes WWAAAY too long for each cup to be processed and this leads to crowded lines at the breakfast rush. BAAD decision! It's a corporate decision, cause it's the same at all the IHG Holiday Inn Expresses. I can't fill my big coffee pot from the dispenser anymore, I gotta "brew" separate cups and then pour them into my pot that I like to keep in my room as I work. OK, that was my main complaint, the rest of my stay was great.
