David the person who said we don't care about your son's disabilities. Said I look like a crackhead

My son has Level 3 autism, ADHD, and significant developmental disabilities. He is nonverbal and, at times, experiences meltdowns that can involve prolonged crying. Before and during our stay, I informed the hotel of his disabilities so they would understand his needs. We stayed at the property for several weeks without major incident. When my son had a disability-related meltdown, staff came to our door to complain about the noise. I again explained that his behavior was directly related to his disabilities and that I was doing everything I could to comfort him, but that I could not simply stop a neurological disability from occurring. Rather than attempting to work with us or discuss any reasonable accommodations, the hotel called the police. The following day, despite our having stayed there for weeks, they canceled our reservation and required us to leave. In addition to the way my disabled son was treated, a front desk employee made deeply offensive personal remarks to me, including telling me that I "look like a crackhead," along with other demeaning comments. Stating they don't care about his disabilities. Accusing me of being ghetto and gross looking. This behavior was humiliating, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable.

Old rooms, towels are too old that are falling apart. Rooms are not clean neither... Breakfast is not good. Boiling eggs are nasty, not flavor at all.

Okay so not a Westin, but it's not too bad. Limited free breakfast, friendly customer service. The hotel could use a renovation and would be amazing. The curtains are not black out so working night shift could be a problem. It was quiet and there was parking and puzzled in among many other businesses like a gas station, restaurant etc.

    Good-sized table/desk with 2 chairs

Re-creating a Gold Rush vacation from a number of years ago, we settled on this hotel to start our trip, conveniently located to the Marshall Gold Discovery State Historic Park and other sites. We were impressed by both the hotel and Folsom itself. We rented a Studio Suite and loved that it had a workable kitchen: full-size refrigerator, range with burners, sink, dishes, pots and utensils, and even a dishwasher. Kitchen facilities are great for saving money on the road. But often you need to stay in a rented home or condo ala Airbnb for a kitchen, and unless you're staying a whole week the cleaning fee overhead makes the nightly rate high. Here you get the kitchen without the cleaning fee! The Studio Suite has a queen bed and sleeps two; they also offer an Executive Suite for $25 more with a king bed that sleeps four to the room. The room was modern and spacious; we especially used the giant table/desk with two chairs for in-room meals. Conveniently a lot of nearby services are available. Several restaurants, a movie theater and more are all walking distance. I needed extra contact lens solution and found it a short drive away at a Target. Folsom has really expanded into a full-fledged Sacramento suburb since our last visit, so services abound. Larkspur Landing also has locations in nearby Sacramento, several Bay Area locations, and a few in Oregon and Washington. Nice place; we plan to check them out again.

I really was very happy with this hotel. They have a kitchen in each suite, the larger suites have separate spaces large bathroom, large bedroom and living space. Very clean and the staff is very friendly and gracious. I will be looking for more of this brand and stay here again.

Do they allow dogs and do they have a dog walk area with bags for cleanup?

They do allow dogs. There is not a specific dog area but plenty of places around the area to walk them. Bring your own bags. Hope this helps.

We made our annual trip to Sacramento for our oldest doctors appointment. We have done this for the last 5 years and have experienced a variety of hotels in Sacramento and this one beats them all. We are a family of 5 so it is a big bonus to have a one bedroom and a small kitchen in the room. Having the one bedroom was a big help for getting kids to sleep at night. Also having a kitchen so that we eat together was also a big plus. Pros- Free breakfast Social reception on Tuesday & Wednesday - meatball subs, salad bar, wine, beer and soda. It's at our family for dinner that night which is a big bonus when you travel with children. Free laundry.. I was surprised by that. No cash needed Nice indoor pool- with towels Monday- We received two free drinks per adult Costco-if you're a Costco member.. if you need dinner.. well your luck because there is a Costco within a minute of the hotel. We got a $10 pizza from the pizza court to feed our family on Monday. Coffee and Tea- they had coffee and tea readily available in the lobby and in your room. Apple Hill- located just up the road about 30mins. We went to Boa Vista before heading home. Fun area- located next to all kinds of restaurants, shops and movie theaters Housekeeping-- they actually HAD staff there to clean our room. They were quick efficient and did a light touchup by making our beds taking out the trash and providing new towels. We recently stayed at a hotel (a Marriott) when we left for the day they told us they didn't have the staff to touch up the room. We only had one small incident and it was quickly handled. I was doing dishes by hand because we didn't have very many and I decided to open up the dishwasher to just set the clean dishes on the rack while I finish them up and a butter knife fell to the bottom of the dishwasher. I went down to pick it up and almost got cut with glass because there was a broken glass at the bottom of the dishwasher. I called the front desk and since we were heading out anyway, they did the room touchup and took care of the glass before we came back. We look forward to going back more often not only for when we head up to the doctors but also when we wanna go to Apple Hill or do any other business in Sacramento area .

The rooms all have a full sized kitchenette .... full sized and "ette" go together? There is a full sized fridge and microwave, even a dishwasher to go with the 2 burner electric stove top. Dishes, pot and pans and cooking utensils are included as well as forks, spoons and knives. The rooms are really setup for extended stay work situations. The hotel even has free self serve laundry! To make these work trips not so stressful, there's even a happy hour with free light dinner food Monday thru Wed. BBQ's are available by the indoor pool outdoors in the patio. The happy hour even has beer and wine. Service was great with an early check in. This is a really nice property. Breakfast is included everyday for guests too! Real hot breakfast, none of this stale doughnut and weak coffee excuse of a continental breakfast. I will have to say though, the hot food items are not so good and the Holiday Inn Express is way better when it comes to breakfast. Something to think about if you're staying for an extended stay. If you do want to go out to eat, almost every chain restaurant you can imagine is in the direct area, but still a drive, there's not much to walk to from here. You COULD walk to Costco and get one of those $5 chickens! That makes for good multiple meals in the room. Overall, it's a good stay, I mean breakfast is just standard, but the coffee is out all the time and that's good. The room was clean and hot water was endless. No time to use the pool though.

As a Marriott Rewards member I was initially impressed that the hotel had read and honored our request for a room on a high floor away from the elevator, and for extra towels, but it was downhill from there. The clerk who checked us in seemed to be there just for a paycheck. She didn't seem very happy to be there, nor was she friendly. When we got to our room we were unable to get him. The housekeeper was right there and she couldn't get in with her key either. We had to wait for maintenance to come and change the batteries in our door lock. While we DID get extra bath towels, we did NOT get extra of anything else. Two washcloths and two hand towels for four people. The air in the room can only be off or on cold. No heat. In order to get the room warm you had to turn the air up to 73 at which point the arctic blast would come on. The problem was that if you turned it off completely, it would be too stuffy. The windows don't open, so natural air was not an option. The bathroom fan is LOUD and stays on 24-7. We were told it's to keep the moisture out and avoid mildew. Despite the 24-7 cyclone, the fan doesn't actually clear the air in the bathroom. When someone showers the room steams up terribly and it's HOT. And despite their efforts, still mildew. The tiles in the bathroom are cracked and walking on them makes weird noises and feels like you're going to fall through. The beds were SO uncomfortable! We tossed and turned all night long. We definitely will NEVER stay here again.

The room was old, worn down, and not very clean. There was rust and staining in the bathroom, visible dust throughout the room, dirty plates and utensils, an uncomfortable mattress, flat pillows, and an air conditioner that struggled to keep the room cool. What ultimately earned this hotel one star was how they handled my billing issue. They charged my stay to the wrong credit card. I contacted the hotel on June 14, and on June 15 they sent me a credit card authorization form so they could refund the incorrect card and charge the correct one. I completed and returned it the same day. After that, I sent multiple follow-up emails over the next two weeks and received no response. Nearly 17 days later, they finally attempted to process the authorization. By then, the card declined because it was a card I use with a limited monthly budget for travel expenses. Had they processed the authorization when I submitted it, there would have been no issue. Instead of acknowledging their delay, they simply told me the authorization declined. At this point, they still had not resolved the billing issue, forcing me to dispute the charge with my credit card company. Between the poor condition of the hotel, the lack of communication, being ignored for weeks, and the failure to resolve a simple billing issue they created, this has been one of the worst hotel experiences I've had. I would not stay here again.

The room itself was decent, but I noticed about four ants crawling on the walls and ceiling, which was concerning. Soundproofing is also very poor -- you can hear everything from the hallway. On a positive note, the front desk staff were friendly and professional. However, based on this experience, I would likely not stay here again.

No problem streaming and getting work done. OK, now to my complaints. They switched the 24/7 coffee from big dispensing carafes to these new "fangled" self grinding, brewing and pouring out single serving machines. There's a touch screen interface, so if you're a senior citizen that isn't all modern computerized, you might have a problem, verses the old just plain push button and coffee comes out carafe. It takes WWAAAY too long for each cup to be processed and this leads to crowded lines at the breakfast rush. BAAD decision! I appreciate that the front desk staff was courteous and offered us a different room since some rooms were already available. However, we specifically booked this room because our family friends were staying in the room next to us. They had already received a notification before 3pm that their room was ready, so it was disappointing that ours wasn't available when we arrived an hour after check-in time. We decided to wait for our original room and asked the front desk how much longer it would take. While waiting, we had to stay in the lobby. We finally got into our room at 5:20pm, more than two hours after the advertised 3pm check-in time and about an hour and 20 minutes after we arrived. Once we got to the room, we noticed the blackout roller shade was completely down. We looked for a chain, pull cord, button, or any other way to raise it, but couldn't find any controls. We even tried lifting it by hand, but it wouldn't stay up, so we couldn't enjoy the outside view or let any natural light into the room. The staff was polite throughout our stay, but betweeni the delayed check-in and the issue with the window shade, the experience was disappointing. Update: We ran into yet another issue after our first night. My husband used the shower, and we discovered that it was clogged. The water would not drain and was still sitting in the tub. At 7am., I went to the front desk to report it. We asked if there was another room where we could take a shower since three more people still needed to shower before we checked out. Unfortunately, there were no rooms available. We were told someone would come to check the shower around 10-11am., but we had to leave by 10:30am., so the issue couldn't be resolved before we checked out. At that point, we were extremely frustrated. We paid for a room expecting everything to work properly, but instead we dealt with one problem after another. Not being able to use the shower on our last morning was very disappointing, especially when several people still needed to get ready before leaving.
