We stayed here for 3 nights when my wife had a meeting in Georgetown. The breakfast at this hotel was as good or better than going to a restaurant and that's rare for a hotel. The waffles and the breakfast tacos were delicious. We tried to cancel the 1st night, but they still billed us for that night because it was past their cancellation time. I was frustrated, but realized it was my fault for booking the 3 nights instead of 2. I didn't read the fine print and apologized for losing my temper. Manny and Janet were very friendly and dedicated. I met the manager Eric at breakfast and we shared stories about growing up in San Marcos. The hotel recently did some renovations and I initially assumed that it was a brand-new build because everything was so new. The room was clean and quiet. There was no problem with noise from the freeway because the hotel is situated on a lower tier behind the businesses facing I-35. Overall, my only disappointment was that the swimming pool is located outdoors and it's not covered. Because of the weather in Texas, swimming pools need to either be located indoors or have a cover if outside. read more

Old property. Oh my gosh, my first impression is driving up and there is absolutely no landscaping anymore. All of the drip piping showing, it looks horrible. The management (front desk staff) are rude and not flexible or accommodating. I have to say that $280 for a room is outrageous. Honestly this property isn't worth $180. Would not recommend staying here. Too many other choices in this town. read more

Staff was really friendly and accommodating. Location is great. And the shower was nice too. The only problem we had was bad enough we wouldn't stay here again - the floors were so gross! The room looked clean at face value, but when my baby would crawl around in the room, his knees and hands and feet would be filthy. Who even knows the last time these floors were shampooed. They were actually sticky. I can't recommend this place for that reason. Shame, since we were so satisfied with everything else! They even put together the pack and play for us, instead of just dropping it off in the room. Hopefully they can fix this! read more

I really enjoyed my stay here, the staff was very helpful, the pool was wonderful and the gym has everything you need for a pretty solid work out. There are several great restaurants within a 7 min drive and a lot of little shops in the old town square. Management is rude, very inflexible and does not appreciate their guests. Eric the manager of this property along with the franchise owner do not represent the Hilton brand at all. I encountered a issue and while Hilton corporate found that I was right and refunded my money. The local management would not call me back or come out and talk to me. My company had over 10 rooms at this location over a period of 6 or 7 weeks. Not saying we should be treated differently but as we all know sometimes travel plans can be interrupted by airlines or weather issues. This management team does not care at all and would not be flexible by 1 day. read more

Booked a room with a walk in shower and got a tub with mobility water apparatuses. On the first floor so super noisy with staff beginning at 6am. This is our experience. Yours may be different. Booked a room for three nights. Arrived at 11pmish and checked in. All was well. Went to the room and it was as the last visitor left it. They appeared to be a heavy sleeper or very "active" wink wink. Went down for another room. "The computer shows that room is clean". The University of my Eyes says otherwise. Called manager. Talks in Spanish ensued in front of us. Knowing Spanish the question back in Spanish was "how do you say bi@/h" (meaning my wife referring to herself) who handled this. Referring to her as "the woman" this and that...It's just rude. They apologized and after much negotiation the price was dropped and two pints of ice cream added. Went from 1 to 4 stars. Ok. Then asked for a printout to verify the agreement. No can do. The "system" is slow or some other reason. Took a photo of the screen for posterity. Back to 2 stars. Something is wrong here. The room was clean and issue free. Four stars. Left the room late two days in a row and typically housekeeping comes back around. They did not. Down to two stars. On the last day we caught the housekeeper and asked to have the room serviced and she did. Up to three stars. Observations: for a few hours doing work in the main area featured a stream of complaints from other guests, mainly about variable charges. I guess the printer had issues. Wink wink. Clearly something is amiss with this location. Down to two stars. I was tempted to say "do you know I'm a Yelp Elite?" But then I remembered that South Park episode and desisted. Not really. But I was a little tempted. We arrived late the last night and asked for the final invoice as we had to leave at 4am. The charges were correct as agreed upon but I question that if we had not taken a photo we'd be in line with the other patrons. We will never know. Won't be back. read more

The absolute worse customer service I've ever had. Had one room one night stay. Flying in Saturday and back out Sunday for a Wedding. Called them three days ahead to see if we could get an early Check in if room available. Wedding was at 1:00 P.M. They said it was not their policy to do that, had to use the bathroom if we needed to change. We were arriving at 11:00 A.M. Needless to say, my friend had a heart attack at 4;30 P.M. on Friday and family did not get a hold of us until 7:45 P.M. We called Airline they gave us credit, called Expedia for car rental, they gave us refund, called booking.com they refunded the $57.00 fee and told us to call Hampton. I did and she was going to talk to management for refund, which she said there should be no problem. we were charged $163.00 the next day. I called on Sunday and spoke to front desk, she could not find our reservation and said people make up stories for canceling past the cancel time which we were at the time. I had already told the person Friday night we missed it by a couple of hours. She didn't care about the heart attack at all. I asked for a corporate number which she could not provide. She just went on about people trying to get out of paying. I asked her one more time for number when a guy that said he was the manager grabbed the phone and told me to call booking.com. I told him I did, and they refunded their portion already. He said I was rude and hung up on me. I contacted corporate the next day, they said they were going to take care of it I waited 9 days with no response. Just got off the phone with them and said they could not refund because i went past the time to cancel, He tried to get the money refunded two different ways but was unsuccessful. I do appreciate that he tried. I will never use Hilton again and would never recommend the Hampton Inn and suites in Georgetown. They do not accommodate your stay in any way. read more

I had a hospital emergency and missed the cancellation deadline by a few hours as I was being transported to the hospital. The greedy ownership was on top of it to charged my card immediately after I notified them that I needed to cancel my 8/29 reservation (8/27 notice) For the two night stay I was unable to keep due to unforeseen medical issues. I am a senior citizen and urge my fellow seniors to avoid rewarding this location with your business due to unfair business practices and unmitigated greed. read more

So...I am a Hilton Member, and love Hilton properties, but some are just meh. This one was "meh." First, we check in and the lights in the room do not work, so I call down to the front desk. While calling, I notice that the phone smells horrible. It smells as if someone got sick, and got some on the phone (yes, it was that bad). The woman at the front desk was great-very apologetic, and got us switched to another room. This room seemed okay. The bathtub had stains (pic attached), and the bathroom has a barn door, so privacy lacks ("sounds" especially--there's over an inch gap, and they don't really "close"-pic attached)--- other than that, it was fine. Today was our second day in the room. We came back from being out and noticed that the beds were made, and new towels were put in, but no cleaning. There was toothpaste in the sink, grass on the carpet, and some hair on the back of the toilet. Now, yes, this was from my family, but really? I called the front desk and the nice woman who answered wanted to come up and clean it herself; I told her it wasn't her job to do that, but that she did need to be aware of the job the housekeeping staff was doing. To top it off, we were getting in bed about 15 minutes ago, and we take our comforter back, and the sheets are scrunched down at the bottom. They didn't even bother to make the bed, they just hid it with the comforter! If there's one positive, the breakfast was very good. read more

As a Lifetime Diamond member and a person who travels throughout the country 200 days a year, I have extenuating circumstances such as planes being cancelled because of weather and other traveling mishaps. This time it actually was my house that was flooding so I called the Diamond Desk to tell them that I could not make it to Georgetown. They had no success with the Hotel manager on duty. I called the General Manager, Rachel Moore, and she stated that the reservation was a "Binding Contract" and I am one of 10 diamond members that do that all the time. Very nice hotel! My husband and I needed a place to stay, so we chose the Hampton as we've never had a problem with them. The lady at the front desk was really nice. She even let us check in almost an hour early. The lobby looked really clean, and there was even fruit water available to drink. The beds were super comfortable. I slept so well the two nights we stayed as did my husband. I usually get bad backaches when I sleep, but I never had a backache when waking up after sleeping in these comfortable beds. I wish I could take this mattress home! Breakfast was really good both mornings. My husband loved that they had bacon on one morning. I was happy the bacon was crispy! This hotel definitely has better breakfast than most other hotels. Our room and the whole hotel seemed very clean. We will definitely be booking this Hampton again when we visit Georgetown again next month. I highly recommend this hotel! --- Update (08/31/17): We evacuated to this hotel due to Hurricane Harvey. We also had our 13 year old and 2 year old with us this time. We stayed for 6 nights. Everyone was really nice and always made sure we had a room available. They were all very accommodating. My wife and I stayed here in room #202 one night as a waypoint to break up a long trip. There were a lot of good things to this hotel: very friendly staff at checkin, clean, and the room was absolutely huge - about 2x the size of a regular hotel room, and the bathroom / shower area the same. The bad, however, did not make up for the good above nor the relatively cheap $99 rate. The hallway scent reminds me of the smell used in nursing homes' hallways to cover up bad odors. The bed was absolutely miserable, and provided one of the worst night's sleep in quite some time and left us with backaches that still hurt two days later. The ownership / franchisee spend a lot of capital dollars to make it look good, but took the cheap route on bed comfort. Rather than feeling rested, we both felt whipped. I would give this hotel a pass. read more

I love Hampton Inns and this one lived up to expectations! Needed a suite (studio) for 3 people and got one with no reservation for $116 which included all taxes and fees! The suite was roomy enough for all of us with an excessive amount of junk. Even with the sleeper sofa pulled out, there was room to walk around. King size bed was super comfy, even the pillows were soft! The Windows were covered with light blocking shades that were actually big enough to cover the windows from annoying light from outside. The bathroom was separated into two areas with a door closing off bathroom from sleeping area with a huge shower! But why don't hotels put exhaust fans in the shower area anymore? The downfall to the privacy door was that it was a super heavy barn door that could smash fingers and was very loud. We wound up staying two night but only made breakfast the first morning. Coffee was super hot and strong, breakfast had a pretty good selection with standard powdered-tasting eggs, bacon, waffles, assorted breads and best of all fresh fruit! The roomy lobby had fruit flavored water dispensers for free and cold Drinks for sale which were rather expensive. Overall, very nice...location was on I-35 frontage road and I was just driving around looking for a place to stay and spied the Hampton! Word of caution....if you go out at night, be sure you have the address in your GPS if you have one....I got so lost it was crazy! read more

Rooms are newer as of 6/6/16 but here is the tricky part- the rooms are set up (king bed) so that the ac blows right on you from the foot of the bed at the bed. No way around or to adjust this. Spent the night going from freezing to hot. On top of this- the smoke detectors have three lights that flash/blink non stop on about 15 second intervals. Terrible in a dark room. Not sure what they were thinking. The light brightness is abnormal. Have stayed in many many hampton inns. This was clean and new.... But the layout is very bad for comfortable night rest read more

Surprisingly great. Soft comfy beds and pillows. Clean, nice gym and breakfast. I stay at a lot of hotels and was impressed at the quietness of the room and customer service of the staff. They had toys ready to give to kids, called before I even arrived to ensure I didn't have any special requests and were super accommodating. read more

This is a very clean and updated Hampton Inn. I stayed for two nights and had no problem at all. The hotel is very up to date. Nothing looks old or like it needs to be replaced. Parking in the front is limited. It is predominantly handicapped or for elite members. At first I thought this would be a problem, but you can easily park in the back and enter through a door that takes you to the main lobby. The room itself was spacious and clean. The bed was fluffy but a little chilly. We had to get a second blanket. The hotel is conveniently located off the freeway. This allows you to get to Old Georgetown and the newer side of Georgetown easily. I definitely would recommend staying here. read more

As a loyal Hilton Honors Diamond Member, I was actually quite surprised when I was charged a fee when I cancelled 24 hours in advance. The GM even told me that they would have no problem selling my open room, but due to the "policy", they had the right to charge me. It was really surprising, and the first time in my vast traveling experience that a hotel charged me the cancellation fee for a rare cancellation. I could understand if I had put the hotel at a disadvantage by falsely having them hold my room, but the GM even told me that she fully expected to sell my room. Disappointing. read more

We stayed at this wonderful hotel while visiting Austin. It's centrally located in Georgetown, right off the I-35 and about a 30 min drive to Austin's city center. Hampton Inn & Suites offered us everything we needed and had great amenities. Our king room was beautiful and modern as portrayed on their website. The bed and pillows were super clean, fluffy, and comfy. Everything was well-equipped including a good supply of towels and toiletries. They even offer complimentary tea, coffee, fruit-infused water and fruits all day long. The continental breakfast buffet had great variety and was exceptionally clean so that is another plus. As for the staff, they provided outstanding hospitality and went above and beyond. Certainly a great value for the price and would highly recommend staying here. read more

Horrible Experience!! Reserved room last weekend as an Xmas gift stay for in-laws 6 weeks in advance through Expedia. In-laws went to check in & no reservation was found under their name. Hampton Inn checked their print out to confirm correct day, etc. In-laws called me for help and I called Expedia. Expedia called hotel & dealt with Manager Rachel. Again, nothing found. Rachel explains to Expedia that they cannot honor the price I booked at, but it would now be $100 more. At the same time, Rachel & desk staff are speaking to my in-laws about all this, trying to get the extra money from them to be able to check in. We were not going to pay it & told Expedia they should for the booking error. They said nope. After 45 mins on the 3 way call - Expedia finally says they will refund us. My in-laws tell Rachel we will get a refund. Rachel then tells them "There is NO WAY you are getting a refund!" In-laws decide it's time to leave after many rude comments from the desk staff & Rachel. Expedia speaks to the hotel 1 more time & can you believe it? -a reservation is found! But they could not find the reservation earlier because my in-laws were there at noon & check-in is not till 3pm. All they wanted to do was "check-in" enough to leave their luggage, not get into a room yet. Reservations don't show up until 3:00, on the day you are checking in? REALLY? Suddenly at 1 pm, someone figures out how to use the computer correctly and "sees" the res. TOO LATE NOW! Angry in-laws have left. In the end, I got a room for them at the Sheraton in Georgetown (much nicer hotel for just $10 more per night). Expedia agent then says no refund because they found the res... agent hangs up. We call back, speak to supervisor. All calls recorded at Expedia, supervisor says they will listen to call and if agent said it, then we will get it. Case resolved today - refund issued 12/22/2017. Glad i didnt book. The weather turned to icy/sleet where it wasnt safe to travel from our area to this area apparently the hotel refused to cancel/refund college team as the desk said its not bad here. Holiday Inn refunded other families. So when game is rescheduled, doubt I'll book here, there are other more customer service hotels around that consider safety as a reason to refund. Even college teams have a budget and they have to rebook these games. read more

I stayed here a couple days last week because we were attending a wedding. Usually I try and find Hampton Inns because they are clean and offer breakfast. This place checked off both those boxes. The reason for 1 star was the service. On our first night we were sleeping and someone kept trying to open the door to our hotel. Luckily my wife always moves that thing over to stop the door from fully opening. This was 2am... I call down to the front desk and they said they overbooked the room by accident. The next day I was up front and the lady asked how my night was. I explained what happened and how disappointed I was because I've always had great experiences at other Hampton Inns. The lady and her manager apologize five times and promise to see what they can do to make up for the situation. I really appreciated that. But then I never heard from them again. Don't make a promise if you have no plans on following through. At least try and tell me they tried and their manager couldn't do anything. I wouldn't have cared and I would have been satisfied with the effort. There was nothing until I checked out. A different lady asked as I was checking out how my stay was. My answer was a quick OK.. the one lady who was there on Thursday morning hears that and says something like (not a direct quote as I don't remember exactly what she said) "other than your intruder on Wednesday night!" And she was laughing. I just turned around and walked away. I will stay at other Hampton Inns because they are individually owned so the experience will be different. I recommend anyone who is staying in the Georgetown area to look elsewhere for their lodging. read more

Rooms are modern and updated, and the beds are more comfortable than other Hampton's that I've stayed in. I accidentally left an expensive dress in my room while staying here. I contacted them a few weeks later once I realized. They said no problem-purchase and email us a shipping label and we will send it to you. I did exactly as they instructed and 9 months later I still don't have my dress. I have 7 unanswered emails and several phone calls ending in "someone will call you right back" and never hearing anything. How unprofessional. I can only imagine the heartbreak if someone were to leave something sentimental or expensive. If I can't trust the staff once I leave, why would I ever come back or stay at any Hampton Inn for that matter? The last phone call I had with them (3 weeks ago) ended within a staff member telling me they would go to the post office and see what was going on, and I would receive a call back. Never received one. I have the shipping number tracker- I can see it was never even sent. I can only hope I'll get reimbursed for the dress and the shipping label I purchased. My stay didn't happen because I needed to cancel my reservation 27 hours before scheduled check in. Apparently, they changed their cancellation policy from 24 hours in advance to 48 hours in advance on 7/31/17. After being told I would be charged for the room if I didn't stay, I spoke to the manager on duty, Rachel, who agreed to cancel without penalty for me because my reservation was made just after the policy was changed. Terrific. The next day I noticed the reservation was still showing on my Hilton App so I called the hotel back to inquire. I was told the cancellation was on file but it sometimes takes up to 48 hours for the reservation to drop off the system. Not to worry they said.....my cancellation was "in the system." Imagine my surprise when I woke the next morning to an email from my credit card company telling me I had been charged for the stay! I called immediately and was told by the overnight clerk that she couldn't do anything about it and she would have Rachel call me when she got in. Of course, that didn't happen either. I called and was given the run around....although she said she was sorry and would get it corrected. Now that I'm back home, I'll have to tackle this today to ensure the charge gets reversed. Who has time for all this? Three calls to the hotel and I still have to jack around with it. Been a Hilton Gold member for years....very disappointed in the lack of service from this hotel. read more

So, I've stayed at Hampton Inn before several times in other places. This room was just weird. There is only one door that is shared between the closet and the bathroom. If you want closet to be closed, then your bathroom will be open. If you want bathroom to be closed, then your closet will be open. The most weird part is their bathroom doors do not lock. What? I even asked front desk, and the nice girl there said sorry, they do not lock. Second, their fire alarm system on the ceiling has 2 blinking lights. They are above your bed and blink 24 hours a day. Good luck falling asleep. The AC does blow too hard, so we had to put blanket on top of it. There is no dresser of any kind in the room to put your clothes in. The fridge is located under TV in the cabinet with the door. So, to open the fridge, you need to open the cabinet door first, and then the door from the fridge. People who work there seem nice. read more
