Property is around tve corner from shopping and fast casual. Large parking lot that they charge you $10 to park in as a revenue grab. Inside this mofo is dated, the lobby and the rooms are still stuck in 2005. The place is clean and there is extreme care in making sure all common spaces are presentable. Small breakfast/coffee station, this is lost revenue as its a DRIVE to get anything. Investing in an actual bona fide cafe is the move. Bar staff is competent, although the selection if spirits is very disappointing. Its a good value stay, mostly middle aged white business travelers so its pretty dang on quiet. read more

Another day - another Marriott! It's been several years since I have been to this property and they have done a nice remodel to the lobby that is much modern and inviting than ten old dated version. Check in was quick and easy! It's self part with a large, open former lot so bit surprised that you have to pay via QR code but parking was cheap . The room was nice and clear - looked like they had remodeled aspects of it as it still had an old school popcorn ceiling and some older looking design aspects but the furniture looked new. The room was quiet,nice and dark and roomy. The water pressure was great! My only complaint was the room had this stale sweat smell that was most noticeable on the pillows - bedding itself was clean and fresh but pillows need replacing! They have a nice lounge for platinum and above members, room service of needed as well as a restaurant downstairs. Staff were nice and I was able to get a good sleep rathe than fighting Austin traffic in the morning rush hour! Will definitely come back here again read more

The hotel is older and was upgraded fairly recently within the last 5-10 years. One of the 2 hotel elevators were in maintenance, which meant that there was only 1 functioning elevator near the lobby. It look forever for the elevator to come, and there were a lot of people queuing up for it. They eventually opened up what looked like a service elevator. The whole situation was messy. A bit of an older looking building, but a generally okay experience. Several food options in the lobby including a coffee shop style place and a restaurant. Check in was quick and easy. One of the elevators was being "upgraded" so there was only one working which led to a bit of a long wait sometimes. There's a secondary service elevator you can use in the back and also stairs. They charge you for parking which seems just like a money grab. The parking lot is large and it's not like there are other places to walk to. It was $12/night. Our room was fine. Amenities were limited. Pool was closed. Gym equipment out of order. Things were generally clean. I paid $175 for the night. I certainly wouldn't pay 200+ for this one. read more

Austin Marriot was a pretty decent. I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights total. Here are my pros and cons: Pros: - If you have status they have a lounge on the top (8th) floor. The lounge has drinks and snacks provided. I enjoyed it the couple times I went up there. - My room was large. There was plenty of space. - The restroom was pretty standard. - The free parking was nice because they have a lot on every side to park. And you can use your key to get in on all the sides. Access was easy. - Great gym. The equipments were all new and towels and waters were provided. - They had a great indoor pool. - Bed was large and fine. The pillows were okay too. I was pretty comfortable. - I got complementary cards for their breakfast at their restaurant downstairs. I didn't use it though. - It was pretty clean and well maintained Cons: - The restroom didn't have a bathtub, only shower. And the water pressure was awful and leaked at night. - The elevator made very loud noises and gave me anxiety - No upgrade for platinum elite (no offers) - About 20 minutes from downtown and no food places nearby really Overall it was fine and its a good option if you do not need to be downtown. I'm okay not visiting Austin again but if I ever do come back I would consider the Austin Marriott again. read more

Almost Perfect! For a 20 year old property, this was definitely well maintained. Checking in/out was incredibly fast and easy. The ambiance was simple, in a good way...typical convention style hotel. The room had everything that I needed. The parking lot was easily accessible. My only complaint was that the shower-head had a drip. It was impossible for me to fall asleep. Long story short. This hotel attempted to hide an $1,800 charge on my credit card for a long term reservation booked via 3rd party. The total fee was paid to the hotel via 3rd party, yet this hotel still felt entitled to more money and charged $1,800 to my card. Had I not been checking my credit while preparing to purchase a house, I may not have seen this and I'm sure they would not have either. Needless to say, this "oversite" or "attempted theft" depending on who you ask... had a material impact on my home search. I reached out to the hotel about this issue and they took over a week to respond. Initially, Jeff, the front desk manager, offered to comp a $3 dollar gatorade that I charged to a room as some sort of gesture that felt more like an insult. I escalated to corporate and I was only offered 25,000 bonvoy points (yes, this is how they treat loyalty rewards members) which, these days, is equivalent to about 3 hours in a motel on the seedy part of town. After speaking to corporate, this hotel offered me 2 free nights at THIS location. Needless to say, I do not trust swiping my card for incidentals with this hotel based on their shoddy (shady) accounting practices. I would advise you think twice as well as there are newer properties nearby that offer the same amenities. Now to the hotel... the hotel has 8 floors with 1 working elevator, which is slow and dirty. The rooms are about what you expect from an aging Marriott property. The customer facing staff are very nice and helpful but the customer service stops there. I am unsure of whether the charge came from the front desk person or the hotel management but I do not trust them with my information. The food at the restaurant bar is subpar compared to what is offered at other Marriott and Hilton locations that bear the flagship name. read more

It looks pretty but this hotel must be in financial trouble. They charge guests to park in the hotel parking lot. $13 a day or charge your room $80. And you have to use a 3rd party to pay. Beautiful hotel in Round Rock TX, which is outside of Austin. I was here to play in 8 poker tourneys at The Lodge. I did play in those tourneys, but it wasn't a great trip for one main reason. I think I was drugged. This is not a joke. And this happened somewhere else--not at the hotel. For 35 hours straight, I suffered horrific hallucinations (when awake) and horrific nightmares (when sleeping) related to my biggest fears (past, present, future). I fell asleep while tying my shoes, shampooing my hair (standing up), and brushing my teeth. I also got sick and couldn't walk. But... With one hour left for late registration for a tourney that I promised I would be at, I had trained myself to walk again. I told myself I had 25 minutes to make it happen. When I started, my toes were pointed toward each other and my hands were shaking in front of my chest. I could only move about an inch at a time. I walked back and forth in the hotel room for 15 minutes and thought I had it, but I fell to the floor. I made it up and out on second attempt but knew I couldn't go through the lobby because they would call 911 if they saw the was I was moving. So I used the walls for balance and went out the side door. I texted someone from poker room that I could use a ride but they didn't take me seriously. It was only a 4-minute drive and I had done it many times, but I was so out of it that I needed to use my GPS. I arrive safely but I could barely stand, my eyes were bloodshot, and I fell asleep at the table more than 40 times throughout the day. I finished four from the money in this condition, but I don't remember anything that happened. If I had been in good condition, I probably would have cashed, and maybe even shipped it. But who knows. As far as the hotel goes, highly recommended! The entire property is nice, the staff is friendly, and it's a great location. read more

I stayed in the suite on the first floor. This was an extremely clean room. There is a couch pullout bed in the living area and an extremely responsive thermostat that heats and cools the room instantly. The shower was gigantic and had a bench off to the right and multiple heads with varying water pressures. The televisions had great volume control and I appreciated that since most TVs either have whisper soft or shrieking decibels when the volume is adjusted by even just one level. There were only a few (minor) issues: No pens nor writing pads in the room? I needed a pen to address a card and couldn't find a single one anywhere despite there being a desk with a drawer. The door that separates the living area and bedroom has tinted glass but becomes see-through at night depending on which lights are on. The shower leaks water onto the floor so I had to use multiple towels to sop it up. Thankfully, housekeeping promptly provided extra towels. My biggest issue was the door that separates the full bathroom from the bedroom: It has a lovely frosted glass sliding door which looks sleek and modern. However, when trying to sleep, the door does not block any sounds and allows light to hit your face, which made it difficult for me to sleep since the bed is directly near the bathroom door. There is an air freshener pod plugged into the hallway outlet, across from the suite door, which made for an overpowering artificial odor every time I walked up to the door. read more

Observed a bug (yep that bug) crawling around the fruit bowl during the Buffett breakfast. I ate 2 pieces of bacon, 1 bite of other fruit and a spoonful of undercooked eggs. I immediately alerted the server who "killed " or removed it from the bowl) and apologized. I lost my appetite. Went to the cashier and explained what happened, she said she would let them know, who(?). I explained that I alerted the server but was charged the full price of the buffet. $21 wow... Returned to my room and couldn't shake the fact, I had to pay $21 for 2 pieces of bacon, and maybe a spoonful of eggs. I called the front desk to obtain the restaurants number. Was told Jeff the food mgr would call me later in the day. Welp, that didn't happen. I even offered to pay for the bacon since I ate it. No one cares and that's fine. But folks, I would not recommend the morning Buffett, bugs and runny eggs are not a good thing. Go offsite where managers are on duty and will hopefully provide customer service. Staff was friendly here but there were definite issues with the hotel. There are almost zero covid protocols in place so if you have been feeling left out and want to catch it go here. Other than the restaurant staff and one person at the counter no one wears masks so none of the guests do either. They pack into the elevator with their maskless faces and breath in your face instead of having an ounce of consideration and waiting for the next car. If you are an elite member the lounge is closed on the weekend. I reserved for 3 guests and got a room with one king bed and no sofa. Our stay was great especially thanks to front desk associate Marsha! She checked us in and went out of her way to make sure our first stay here was amazing! She was super friendly, very professional, compassionate, and very helpful! I'd return in large because Marsha represents Marriott so well! The other associates and all of the staff we interacted with were great! The lobby is very nice a decorated nicely for Christmas! The elevators work well and we're clean as was the hallways, gym, pool area and overall hotel. The restaurant was clean however the breakfast could use more variety and less hard cooked bacon. Unfortunately, one of the workers coughed directly into the muffins as he was putting up the food. He didn't cover his mouth at all. He also touched his mouth with his gloves on as he was replacing food on the bar. Please remind your staff that it is imperative to be extra clean and to be aware that patrons see more than they know. I was told that I couldn't get an omelet because staff was low. The only day that I did get an omelet, it was amazing! The room that we were upgraded to was very nice!! We loved everything about it although the tiles flushes too loud and it's a little hard to push the handle. The shower and sink water pressure is great however the hot is very hot and could burn someone. It would be nice to have a vent in the bathroom to avoid the walls getting so wet and the mugginess. This corner room is amazing! Thanks for taking such good care of us! We didn't remove our door hanger sign to get our room cleaned, but, the housekeepers were very nice and helpful when I asked to replace towels, etc. The room was nicely decorated! Towels were plush and white. The TV wall unit is very nice and the refrigerator worked well! Again, Marsha H. was one of the best parts of our stay! We appreciate all the kindness! Parking was ample and the location is convenient from the highway. There are stores and restaurants with 5 minutes drive. We'd definitely return! I'm a big fan of Marriott properties so I was a bit ecstatic when I landed in this hotel after purchasing an express deal from Priceline. The check in process was quick. I already know the process - approach reception area with an ID and a credit card and just wait. The gentleman who was checking me in asked if I'd stayed here before and when I told him that I had not, he proceeded to give me a quick tour of where everything was: the restaurant, gym, coffee shop, business center, elevators, and where the closest parking to the elevators was. The room is spacious. The King room I was in also had a couch that would fit a smaller adult to sleep on it. Didn't check if it's actually a sleeper couch or not but oh well. The room came equipped with a mini fridge but no safe for me to store my valuables. But fortunately I didn't have any valuables so that really didn't apply to me. The bed was pretty firm - at least to my liking, but most beds I slept on in a Marriott property have been pretty firm so this was actually expected. The room and the sheets were clean. To keep this review short, I was happy with my stay here at Austin Marriott North. If I had things to do in the Round Rock area, I definitely wouldn't mind staying here again. Especially considering the fact that there were plenty of restaurants by the hotel, free wifi, and also free parking. read more

Not a good experience. I specifically requested two queen beds and even changed from another hotel to this one because I initially needed a king then the situation changed and I needed two queens. In the room, there was one king bed and a pull out with a damaged, thin, bumpy, uncomfortable mattress, no sheets, no pillows, and no comforter. We had to hunt down housekeeping at 10:00 pm to get the sheets. My 75 year old mother in law was in pain all night but didn't want to wake me to tell me. I found out when I woke up and she was in pain. When I booked two queens, I expected two queens, not one king and a pull out. That was the sole reason I booked this hotel. I emailed customer service and got a response back that they will give me 10,000 points in my account. Who does that help? Only the company if I book another Marriott. The only nice thing about the stay was the front desk staff at initial check in. read more

Austin Marriott North was a lackluster, underwhelming experience for a few reasons. Mostly because it wasn't the luxury I saw pictured online. Additionally, upon check-in and check-out it was a sour experience. I didn't feel welcomed nor did I feel my patronage was appreciated. For starters, when I booked with my original credit card somehow it was declined and I wasn't made aware before my arrival. Thus, I was surprised with having to pay for this stay with a different card. I shrugged it off and headed towards my room to turn-in after a long flight. I noticed there were a lot of children running around unattended and they were quite noisy, I didn't expect for such an experience. I went to my upgraded room and I was happy it was spacious, but I was unhappy with the crack in the door that made me feel unsecured. I traveled with a door jamber so I installed it every night just in case the door crack posed as a threat and easily allowed intrusion. My room was clean and it was obviously recently remodeled, but I hated that housekeeping didn't have the ability to perform cleaning services. Unfortunately, I didn't have the privilege of returning to a clean and cozy room during my entire stay. My only gripe with the room was the showerhead had some corrosion on it and that impacted the water pressure. My next day, I decided to visit the restaurant on the grounds. It's open for a short window in the day and the staff is not seasoned nor caring. I waited for to be seated at the hostess stand for about 2-3 minutes, I seated myself then waited another 5 or so minutes for a server to arrive. I realized no one was going to come anytime soon to wait on me so I approached the bar and asked for help. I was informed a server would be right over and it took another 5 or more minutes to be acknowledged by a manager. The bartender came over to greet me, but he was unable to juggle myself and the bar. I never put in a food order because I simply gave up, I was tired of waiting. All the while, there was a busy lobby and conference room full of tweens and teens (likely you all hosted a team for a nearby competition) and presumably wedding guests. It was not the sort of environment I'd wish to be in for a vacation weekend. I found myself having to leave my room a lot because my internet signal was weak so when I used your WiFi it was better but it crashed a lot. I'd have to go all the way from the (I believe) 5th floor to outdoors for a connection and for towels. When I'd call the hotel to ask for towels, they'd never answer so it was easier to just walk down and ask rather than calling and hoping I'd get an answer. It overall was a decent experience when night came, but not enough for me to return. There just aren't enough benefits to justify my rebooking. read more

So I got a lot to say...first this hotel is nice enough but if you have an issue you get put in the ignore zone. I have the highest status you can achieve with Marriott and I had a dispute with the bill, the GM could not find time to contact me. The issue has escalated up to Marriotts top level and still the GM hadn't had time to address me issue. Well after 20 plus years and more than 3400 nights at Marriott this hotel and this GM put an end to it. In my company we get to choose where we stay, I'm flagging this place as a not friendly and for now on Hilton is my place...they have better hotels usually anyway. But just know this hotel will ruin everything you liked about Marriott if you have a issue. And that's a result of the management. You have a good manager that flows down to the employees. Just saying....don't stay here unless you have too. read more

This is my first time staying at a Marriott. Here for work, so I didn't pick the hotel. Definitely safe to say it will be my last time at a Marriott. I got put in a room on the 5th floor and it was dirty. Kiss marks on the glass bathroom door and dirty cups still sitting outside the room. I was moved to a new room and while it is clean (enough) it is still not what I would expect from a $200/night hotel. My friend is at Hyatt steps away and WOW it's so much nicer, newer, and they include a nice breakfast at $130/night. I'll either stick to Hampton Inn or try Hyatt the next time i need a hotel. read more

Well multiple things that are disappointing about this they told me that I had average $96 a day with my 20% discount. Come to find out they discounted the last night which I most likely won't be here for that. Second they charge $5 a day for their crappy grab and go breakfast. I will not be staying at a Marriott again. Very disappointing. And I'm thinking about leaving early. They also want $7 a day for their internet this place is a freaking joke. I have been visiting The Austin Marriott North at La Frontera for 13 years now. Why? Because my profession requires that you take educational courses to gain a license and continuing education courses to remain licensed. The staff is always professional, the hotel is always tidy and the conference rooms are always equipped with morning breakfast, coffee plus other drinks and then afternoon snack and drinks. I have not stayed here overnight as this is local for me but I love visiting for my CE courses. Very pleased always. read more

This location shut down for about a year and is back open. They are still limited in offerings; restaurant still closed and 'M' Club limited offerings, but they are slowly returning to full services. I would give them a solid 4 stars except for two things: 1: they offered GREAT service and genuinely appreciated my business and 2: they took the down time do remodel some things and really detailed the rooms. I found everything to be in excellent working order and very, very, very clean. They obviously went the extra mile and they deserve the 5th star in my opinion. I've stayed at this Marriott a couple times and it's a great spot. The staff are always friendly and polite, and have always been welcoming. This is a full service locations with a concierge lounge on the upper level, great restaurant, awesome pool and workout room, and an onsite sudo-Starbucks. The rooms are typically full service Marriott's --not overly extravagant, but spacious and clean. The bedding and linens are nice and comfortable and I always get a great nights sleep here. There is free parking in lot immediately outside the hotel and it's very easy to spot from main roads surrounding. It's also in walking distance to a handful of restaurants and stores. It's always a good experience when I've stayed here and prices are always very reasonable, especially for a full service location. read more

Very disappointed in this Marriott. Our room didn't even have a sofa. Not even a coffee table! All we had was a lone chair and a suitcase stand, in place of a coffee table! We barely had any surfaces to place our belongings. All our bags were on the floor. We called the front desk to request a better furnished room and they said all the rooms are the same.
