I picked my aunt up aunt the Hampton and she was worried that it wasn't something impressive like the Ritz or something. But I walked in, saw the high ceiling and the modern decor and my aunt was so happy I gasped when I saw the breakfast area. So clean and comfortable. The staff is helpful and friendly. They have a complementary hot beverage bar in the lobby that is well stocked and cared for. They even have these cute baby ducks near the reception area that are just charming. Room had two queen beds and was comfortable but had a weird bathroom door - it slid to cover EITHER the bathroom or the closet and could NOT be locked. Needless to say, we spent very little time in there! There was almost no space to put away clothes, and there was no safe in the room. Service was transactional. Parking was free. Standard breakfast was offered with our rate ($250 after tax) in the large breakfast area downstairs. They have a gym and pool but we didn't use them. Someone else in our travel group picked this place so we made a reservation here to be with everyone else in the group. Our stay was just for one night. The hotel itself is very nice on both the outside and inside, and has a pleasant smell and amenities. The front desk and cleaning staff were nice and cordial, but I did have some cold interactions with the staff stocking the complimentary breakfast bar. We were able to check in a bit early, and I appreciated being offered the choice to pick our room. However, the first room we tried was next to one where a dog was barking constantly, so we returned downstairs to request an another room. Unlucky for us, the second room turned out to be even worse. The towels and washcloths were sufficiently stocked, but a dispenser was all out of shampoo. One of the USB charging ports was broken. These weren't dealbreakers, but the empty shampoo dispenser was certainly a head-scratcher. I wasn't able to get the Wi-Fi working using my room # and last name, either, so this was another annoyance that added to the pile of frustrations. After our day of activities in Olympia wrapped, we came back to the hotel and wanted to get some shut eye as quickly as possible. It was at this time that our nightmare began...Somewhere below us, other guests were playing loud music with heavy bass combined with very spirited, party-esque dialogue. We were patient and waited for quiet hours to start, but over the course of the night, things got worse. Initially, I called the front desk to file a complaint and ask them to look into the partying atmosphere, which they said they would. When nothing really happened to quiet down the noise and quell the disruptive behavior, I got dressed and left our room to find where the noise was coming from, which happened to be the room right below us. I then went to the front desk and shared this information with the person on-duty who said they were going to look into it. The disruptive noise was more than just boisterous banter, loud music, and people having fun. Rather, it was loud music combined with people cussing each other out and making threats. The language being used was so aggressive and vile that we half-expected someone was going to get seriously hurt or killed. This went on for 4-5 hours. We all tried to sleep, but at 2 am, I called the front desk again to complain. The situation with the room below led us to feel the most unsafe we ever felt in a hotel. The next day, as we checked out, we had a lot to say after being asked the question, "How was your stay?" At this point, we learned the conclusion to the story--someone was kicked out of this hotel room over the argument or fight, but this didn't come soon enough for us to get a good night's rest, which was the main reason for getting s hotel in Olympia in the first place. read more

All hotel rooms should be this well planned and thoughtfully designed! I was beyond impressed by the great use of space and attention to detail throughout the room. Whoever designed and furnished the room deserves an award in excellence. There are shelves that slide out in the bathroom where most hotels have nothing. There are lots of clothing hooks, there are sliding shelves in the cabinets, and the door for the bathroom doubled as the closet door ensuring privacy and no wasted space. I could go on and on, but you should see it for yourself. The pool is better than in most swim clubs and gyms. The public areas are cheerful and inviting. The coffee, tea, and water space is easily accessible and set up all the time. The staff are very happy, polite, helpful people. They seem to enjoy their jobs and being at the hotel. The pet policy is also handled in a great way--complete with a hang tag for the room door to alert housekeeping and others that a pet is in the room. There is a large grassy area for dog walking complete with poo bags and trash can. I would happily return here when in the area. The hotel made me feel comfortable and relaxed. Oh, the shower was great, too. The other must-have. There are restaurants within walking distance. Easy freeway access. read more

I stayed here for one night due to driving from Salem, OR to Olympia (I had an early morning flight out of SeaTac), and didn't feel like driving all the way into Seattle due to fatigue. So I chose this Lacey location, which is an hour or so south of SeaTac. Definitely worth staying at, as I slept really, really good on the first floor without any noise or nonsense. Super comfortable bed, and an exceptionally clean room. Noticed a roving security guard driving a security vehicle during the early AM hours. I don't usually see this anywhere else, which made me wonder about the area. Welcome to the Olympia metro area! I found the area to have its usual suspects of restaurant chains and coffee spots, so I didn't worry at all. Very easy access to I-5. Definitely staying here again. read more

New and updated hotel. Well maintained considering it was done in 2016. Rooms are clean and spacious and you won't ever be short of a plug or usb port. I slept pretty well until people outside were talking very loudly at 1AM. However we called the front desk and they went out side to stop the talking people. It wasn't very fully booked so it was very quiet. I was on the first floor and didn't hear any other noise in the night. The staff are all very nice . . .like old school nice. . . . like how it used to be back in the day. The breakfast area was kept well stocked and never ran out of stuff. I love that they had canned whipped cream for the waffles. Kids love that. After breakfast we were in the eating area and I was impressed how much cleaning they do. The pool area was nice and new looking too. My only comment is that there was way too many chemicals in the hot tub because my skin was so dried out and itchy afterwards. read more

I was actually very happy with this Hampton Inn. I normally stay at the Hilton Garden Inn about 3 miles from this place, but wanted to try somewhere new. I was pleasantly surprised. Check in was easy, and the entrance/lobby was rather nice. They have citrus flavored water and coffee available in the lobby 24 hours a day. The Room itself was very nice and spacious with multiple outlets in the room. The only thing issue I had with the room was that there was only 2 outlets in the bathroom where as I normally need 3 in there. Granted that is just something that I need and not everyone but other than that it was great. Its conveniently located across the street from a safeway, gas station and near a Starbucks, AM/PM, Bar, Pizza Place, Diner etc all within walking distance. It is a beautiful area so I definitely walked to most of these places. It also has a decent gym with an actual weight machine which is rare for a hotel gym. The pool and spa are both very large and comfortable. Even with strangers in the spa and a few kids, there was more than enough personal space. It is even nicer that the spa runs for 60 minutes instead of 15 and 30 like most places where you have to get out and turn the knob. Overall this was a great hotel but the only thing missing was a hotel bar :). read more

Overall: This is hotel set the standard for what every hotel should be like! Location: I went on a business trip and this was a great location - could have gotten any better! There's a Safeway across the street and Target, along with other shopping centers within a short driving distance. Parking: Just like an typical hotel, plenty of parking but can be hard to find a spot in front as the later it gets. Breakfast: Simply amazing! I love how they had certain items rotating like the eggs and sausages. They have waffles, yogurt and then smoothie! Service: Spectacular from an all around stand point! They were able to accommodate my early check in for free which was already a great but they also remembered me when I was there in person! In addition, the lady in charge of the breakfast greeted everyone with a smile saying, "good morning, enjoy your breakfast." Really like this hotel mainly because of the age and the amazing modern design and ample amenities. I just flew back to WA a few days ago and initially stayed at the Radisson in SeaTac. As I checked in and went into the room, the style looked very nice, but it was very cramped and difficult to move around because of my disability. The next day I just couldn't handle it and decided to travel back to Lacey where it's not as busy and congested. That's where I found Hampton Inn. Looking at the pics, I was pretty excited on booking a stay because the hotel is only about a couple years old with beautiful looking plants, the stylish furniture and the open, clean view of the lobby. The room was slightly more spacious which gave me better mobility. The hotel staff were incredibly helpful and friendly and provided any information that's needed. The breakfast isn't half bad either! The only downside is that I stayed on the first floor and the visitors upstairs were somewhat loud with their foot stomping. But it's whatever, they're just kids lol. The hotel was even moderately priced, costing about $140 a night which is reasonable considering the lavish amenities. I also really liked how this amazing hotel is dog friendly, or maybe Washingtonians just generally love dogs lol. Overall the stay here in Hampton Lacey was amazing. This may just be my go-to hotel if I ever have to book a few nights. read more

We were shocked because I thought Hampton inn was more of a lower end hotel....surprise!!! Not this one! Beautifully furnished well-maintained. I thought it was a brand new hotel but they said that it been there for six years. Someone did a beautiful job selecting colors and materials like fabrics, artwork and beautiful carpets throughout. Bed was very comfortable, shower head was like a home shower vs a hotel shower head with a trickle of water! They had a nice breakfast and the Only FAULT IN THE WHOLE Visit was the mediocre coffee at breakfast! I don't want to forget to mention how pleasant and helpful the staff was! Who knew a Hampton Inn could be so great. Well this is one is just that. I would honestly have been happy if this was a 5 star hotel, let alone the 3 stars it officially is just because of the name Hampton. One of the biggest things going for it it's modern and was built less than a year ago. The exterior and interior are both beautifully designed. Inside, everything has a coastal vibe, with calling blues, and grey's throughout. It was very elegant and modern. The rooms were very well appointed. Beds were super comfy, pillows were soft, the bathroom was modern, and there were USB outlets right near the beds. The ceilings were also super high, which gave a nice airy feeling to the too. It followed the coastal theme in design and was such a pleasant place to be in. Only minor thing was that there were no tea bags, only coffee. The hotel also has an indoor pool/jacuzzi, and it's 24 hours which is a big plus. There is also free breakfast from 6-10, and it was decent for what it was. Waffles, variety of fresh fruit, bacon, eggs, etc. Service was another strong point. The front desk staff at both check in and check out were both a pleasure, clearly taking pride in what they do. Our rate was $190, which we felt was fair considering how good it was. We did book last minute, so it may be cheaper ahead of time. Booking direct usually saves a few $. If you find yourself in Olympia, this is the place to stay at. No wonder it's the #1 rated hotel on Trip Advisor, and it was completely full the night we were there. read more

Hampton Inn has become my hotel of choice when available. The consistent product quality and service keeps me coming back and this particular location didn't disappoint. Directions to the hotel from my Garmin were accurate and there was ample free parking when I pulled in around 5 p.m. I was promptly greeted upon entering the lobby and my reservation was in order. The room was in a quiet location at the end of the hall as I always request and the room itself was clean and comfortable. The HVAC was extremely quiet and there was no noise from neighboring rooms or the hallway. I decided to pick up a pizza from Domino's and bring it back to the room and the Front Desk came through with excellent driving instructions so I didn't have to use my Garmin. When I returned, the only parking available was at the rear of the hotel, but the area was well lit so not a concern. Unfortunately, my attempt to access the hotel from the locked back door with my room key was unsuccessful. I reported it to the Front Desk and was told they would have someone check it. It was fine the first night, a little dirty but pretty good. The second night, (currently), it's horrible. Music downstairs that is vibrating the whole room of ours. We aren't even right above the room where the music is playing. It's seriously vibrating the entire room, including the bed. We called to complain at 7:55, after waiting five minutes for it to stop. We expected it to end at 8, but when we called, they said the music would end at 11 at night. We asked if they could turn it down and they said that they weren't allowed to ask that. Said they'd try and ask, but the music never turned down. It's currently getting louder and my mom and i have huge headaches. We tried to turn up the tv, but nothing is working. Let me just say that I'm in a softball tournament, and this sleep for tonight is very important since tomorrow is the championship game. Would not recommend hotel. Breakfast is pretty good, staff is kind, but the hotel rules need to change. The music from DOWNSTAIRS while we are on floor TWO is messing with our stuff, quite literally knocking it down. read more

Great stay! Customer service was on point with check-in and checking-out. I was also given the option to do no-contact check-out through text message, but saw the message after. Nice spacious rooms, super cozy bed, and a clean shower as well. The layout was convenient for me and my family, I enjoyed the table being close to the bed and connected to the TV. Blackout curtains were perfect. The night stand also came with little pull out tables which was a nice touch. Unfortunately we didn't have time to view all amenities available. Having spent much time working in hospitality management, I think I can give a unique perspective on this property. As we did have a few issues. The parking area was well lit and felt safe. Which is a big deal when you're traveling with stuff in your car. Secondly, the property was very clean as was our room. The toilet was very cleaned and the showers were clean as well. The carpet was clean and the bed linen were clean as well. We booked a double bed room and it was pretty spacious. Our issue wasn't with the cleanliness of the property rather it was the children above us who were jumping and running deep into the night. We called Lynn twice at the front desk unfortunately the issue was left unresolved. Lynn did state that the "kids" checked in late and perhaps they needed time to "settle". And to some degree, I get that. However, the noise didn't stop. And it became clear that this was a disciplinary issue. We had driven more than 13 hours and just wanted to rest. Well, when we finally went to sleep, we are awaken at 6:13AM the following morning by jumping and pounding. Because I have spent years working in the hotel business, I can be very tolerable. Sometimes too tolerable. So, I am not one to call the front desk for every bump in the night. That morning (our second day) I went to the front desk about the issue. Randy apologized and moved us to another room which was an upgrade. That was very disappointing as we spent nearly 2 hours moving and trying to resettle. And trying to eat breakfast while moving up and down the halls. The quality of our stay definitely depreciated even more at that point. I will say, that Randy was excellent. He must be the property supervisor (or should be). Oh, our television in our new room wasn't connected. That was another issue. And Randy came to the room and made everything OK. He shared things about his family and really expressed an appreciation for our being patient with the noise and the room change. Randy seems to be a very humble guy. I mean when we initially checked in, he smiled and seemed genuinely excited to see us. That meant a lot and stuck with us and has obviously impacted this review. I want to say that there are a lot of people that just want a clean hotel and that's it. Well, I don't just stop at a clean hotel. Having been in hospitality management, there are things I know to look for and expect. Mainly, staff response times matter the most. While we expect our stay in hotels to be smooth, that's not always the case. How the staff responds can make the difference. Lynn appeared to be very nice. However, she didn't seem to know hospitality protocol for handling loud guests. Nor did she follow up with us before she went home. And when we purchased late night snacks on next day, she didn't seem to know we were the people who had noise issues the night before. That would have been a great time to express some sort of empathy or sympathy toward the situation. Apparently, Randy new this as he even outlined the steps that should be taken when checking in guests with lively children. As mangers, we know this....employees don't seem to embrace that. As they do get to go "home". So, if you're looking for a clean place with a very clean and satisfying breakfast, this would be the place. However, if you're like me and desire a more thorough experience, you may want to ask the desk clerk if there is a more private room or to ensure no children are placed above or near you if they are loud. I believe if I returned to this property, that it would likely be a 5 star experience. However, my rating is based upon my 2 nights at the property. read more

Stayed at the Hampton Inn & Suites Olympia Lacey for three days over Thanksgiving. The hotel is easy to find after exiting I-5. This hotel is new. The price was reasonable for a large, clean room in which everything worked as it should. The only complaint I have about the room is the awful barn-style bathroom door on rollers. It leaves a big gap on each side of the door so one cannot lock it and it isn't private enough when more than one person is in the room. Also, it is a shared door with the closet and my spouse, without realizing the same door was for both the closet and the bathroom, opened the closet just as I was walking through the bathroom door and the big, heavy door bashed right into me, bruising me. What was the Hilton company thinking when they made that design decision?! The breakfast was okay; not the best I've had but not the worst, and it was plentiful. The breakfast room was comfortable and pleasant. There is a little snack store in the lobby, which I really liked having. We had no problem with parking, which was included in the price of the room. I did not use the hotel's wifi so I can't assess its speed or quality. The hotel also has a pool and workout room, but I didn't use or even look at either one. The hotel employees, from the front desk to housekeeping, were great. They were friendly, efficient, and helpful. They also gave us everything we requested regarding our room location, extra towels, and extra pillows without our having to ask again after our arrival (woohoo!). They also accommodated us with early check-in and late check-out. We couldn't have asked for more. We'll stay there again (and here's hoping the parent company gets it together and changes out those stupid bathroom doors because they are not good for customers and unfair to the employees who have to listen to customers complain about them!). read more

Wow, this was one of Hampton's best hotel we've been to. This place was so popular during breakfast, all the tables were full all morning at 8:30am. After breakfast, we decided we would spend an hour in the pool since check-out was at 12pm. The nice part was that no one was there in the morning so we got the place all to ourselves. The spa was perfect and the pool wasn't too cold. I'd like that there were towels, a bathroom, and shower for convenience. The gym was surprisingly bigger than other hotels I've been to. It's just too bad I didn't get a chance to use it this time around. Tip: If you are looking to refill your water bottle, always remember to go to the workout room; they will most likely always have a cold water refill station. read more

According to housekeeping as of today 9/2017 it's been one year since the renovation and they did a great job. Color scheme is calming and updates to rooms, hospitality/ lounge area are beautiful. With our Hilton Honors and AAA membership we got a small discount but chose it over others that were $10 + cheaper. Place was clean and very simply but pleasant decor. Bed was great and the high end flat TV with a huge selection of channels was really nice. There was an issue with the elevators breaking and we're down for an hour or so, someone got snippy with the lady working the counter (can't remember her name) but she stayed very professional and handled the situation quickly. All was back to normal quickly. Breakfast isn't the greatest but much nicer than a continental style breakfast. All in all, a great bang for the buck with reasonable rates and great service. This is the nicest Hampton Inn and suites! The rooms are very updated, with tile wood look floors in the restroom and vanity area and in the foyer when you enter your suite. I had read reviews from a couple of yelp people, and they wrote very complimentary reviews. Honestly, I wasn't sure, until we arrived, that the hotel could be as nice as their reviews stated... but I'm now a very happy yelper. The modern , well appointed rooms are in muted blues, grays and every detail has been carefully planned. I usually stay at Hilton Garden Inns... but THIS Hampton Inn should be the " model home" for all other Hampton Inn and Suites to follow. What is important to me ? A clean, comfortable bed.. climate control, and these rooms even have lots of room for you to organize your stuff, with plenty of room to move around. My young grandson , staying in a separate room with other family, simply is thrilled that all of the lighting fixtures, room a.c. Is working well. The pool area is large, with a jacuzzi ; there's a nice workout room. Upon entering the hotel, we were warmly greeted by " Star", one of the most pleasant ladies I have had the pleasure to meet. She swiftly got our room keys ready , and checking in was easy. Using yelp reviews, and trusting them has given us a very nice room, with typical amenities ( neutrogena brand soap, shampoo etc). A breakfast is included with the room fee. There are many people here this weekend; but people are respectful. This hotel has a " hearing impaired" suite, that has two queen beds. This room Is also ADA compliant, and is near the elevator. All safety bars are in the tub etc. My room has a king sized bed, with a medium firm pillow top mattress. The bed is very comfortable . The mattress is encased... which is very nice and sanitary. I'm amazed how quiet it is on the fourth floor. If I'm ever in Lacey or Olympia again, I will definitely stay here again. read more

We were told to let them know if we had any issues because they wanted to make sure we had a great stay and we sure did! The decor is modern and the hotel was very clean as were our rooms. Our family had 2 separate rooms and we all slept great in the comfy beds and quiet rooms. The hot breakfast buffet was a great way to start our days. Mary Cris in the dining area greeted us and made sure we had a nice meal. She is a hard worker that obviously likes where she works. We will definitely stay at this hotel when we are back in town. We will look into staying at other Hampton Inn's in the future if they are all as great as this one! read more

I quite often stay in very upscale hotels in all price points. This hotel was a last minute booking for an unexpected trip. I have to say that it is probably one of the best places I have ever stayed. The building is absolutely beautiful, the staff is some nice and helpful and it honestly feels like home. The little tiny touches such as messages on the breakfast chafing dishes to friendly hellos makes me wish I had to come to Olympia regularly. I will DEFINITELY be back and will recommend to everyone I know!!!! read more

This is a great hotel. The front desk ladies were extremely nice and helpful. The room was nice, clean, and modern. They had comfortable beds and a nice shower. The pool was indoors and 24 hours. The breakfast was better than a regular continental breakfast. There were your usual waffle and egg choices as well was smoothies, biscuits and gravy, and more. The seating area for breakfast was large with both tables and half booths off the wall. They also have a little area where you can buy snacks or essentials. I would definitely stay here again and I had already recommended it to other family members who were staying in town and needed a hotel.
