If I could give ZERO stars I would. The customer service is pitiful. The heavy set lady behind the front desk with the locs is BEYOND rude. We waited for our room for THREE HOURS for the housekeeper (darker skinned/little ponytail) to talk about their personal life instead of making sure a room was cleaned for us to check into. The elevator is "broken", it's 84 degrees outside and the pool is "closed". The lady at the front doesn't cover her mouth when she coughs and continually rolls her eyes. I wish I could post photos of this scenario because I definitely will be sending them to HR. No one comes and spends this much to stay at a Hilton to not be treated with the upmost respect. I stayed at this hotel last week and my experience was terrible. I'll start with the best ... the staff was unfriendly and rude. The physical appearance of the hotel looked like it was in Gaza (pictures will follow). Apparently it is under renovation. All the amenities are closed....pool, exercise room, etc. They should have closed the entire hotel as the standards are seriously below average. The breakfast was terrible and tasted bad. Everything was frozen (nothing was made fresh). My room was cramped, musty and outdated. I would never stay at this hotel again. read more

We stayed here one night (05 June 2025). The sign out front says, "Never judge a hotel by its cover," due to the hotel's ongoing construction/remodeling. In this case I absolutely would judge!!! The pool was closed - you are offered to use a pool 5 miles away....for a steep price. Additionally, the gym was closed. Both of these options were the reason we chose this Hilton property (Hilton Gold members). What an extremely frustrating and disappointing stay, especially after a long travel day with kids. Second time here, our first visit was great. This time.. No coffee station set up at all. And shower was not clean.

Stay far away. Booked a two night stay at this hotel back in March of 2025. Hotel was under construction, noisy and filthy. One elevator working. We asked if we could cancel and get our money/points returned (Gold Member here) and transferred to the Hilton Garden across Rt. 21, we were told by the hotel Manager (Michelle F) that we could not. When we questioned why, she became belligerent, nasty, unprofessional and threatened to call the police to have my wife and I removed. Never, ever have we been treated so rudely and unprofessionally by a Hilton chain hotel employee. Do yourself a favor....AVOID this hotel. I'm switching to a different hotel chain. read more

The room was not ready at check in after we waited past the time she said she then gave us the key and told us to go see if it was ready. The bed was harder than most. Breakfast was not up to other Hampton Inns standards, they had bagels out but no toaster, when I asked about one she said yeah it went out yesterday. Also when we asked for more towels she said they would bring some and never brought them (the cart of towels was right beside her). The grounds look nice from a distance but then you see the flipped over chairs near the water side in the shrubs and it just feels a bit run down. There seems to be a general lack of communication and care among staff. Checkout went about the same. Two people at the front desk, I dropped the keys in the basket and asked for a receipt....she pointed at the man so I moved to him, I said thank you and he didn't even respond. read more

The refrigerator was set too high apparently though, froze my fruit. Wasn't too happy. 2020JAN18: Maid never bothered to clean the room, make the bed, take out the trash. Nothing. Really disappointed with the maids.. I spent an evening at the Hampton Inn Beaufort for work. The check-in was simple but not overwhelmingly hospitable. My room was clean. It seems like this room set-up and furnishings is perhaps a bit iterations behind other Hampton Inns. Nothing is OLD. But things just are starting to feel outdated. The property has a good location and is walking distance to a few restaurants. Trees with moss hanging down surround the property as it sits on marsh. I'm a sucker for that. It was quaint. I ended up skipping breakfast and heading in to town so I can't comment on that. If I'm back in Beaufort, I'd definitely stay at this Hampton again. read more

Please save yourself a headache and do not book with this hotel. My husband and I traveled from afar with our dogs, notified Hampton Inn ahead of time (I called ahead to ask about their pet policy as I know most hotels are very strict about animals) and while checking in with the pets that we had with us, to make sure there would be no extra charges, no one mentioned anything about a "mandatory pet fee"; so we were completely unable to plan in advance for any extra costs. When we checked in, we made sure to let the hotel staff know we had our pets with us - and they said that was completely acceptable and NEVER DISCLOSED TO US THERE WAS A PET FEE! They charged us $300 without any notice/call and then told me I would have to wait for a manager to "call me back" if I wanted to dispute it. On top of this negligence and unprofessional behavior, my husband and I were accosted by one of the maids, who loudly scolded us for having our dogs on the third floor - as if we checked ourselves in and picked our own room? How on earth is that our fault? It is the hotel lobby's responsibility to know their own policies and to educate their guests on them, so they can avoid negative reviews and possible serious legal actions in the future. I did not pay all of this money to go on vacation and then be immediately yelled at by hotel staff. Unacceptable behavior. I would like to personally give a shout-out to Carlos who tried his absolute best to calm us down and make sure the rest of our stay was subpar. He did go above and beyond to assist my husband and I and I believe that hard work should not go unnoticed! Still waiting on a call back from the managers! And while you guys are at it, feel free to take a look at your security footage before you accuse us of "sneaking" our dogs in - why on earth would we enter and exit through the front entrance if we had anything to hide? Visiting friends in Beaufort and decided to book here. We had a very nice stay at a good rate. I am always surprised when people only want to pay a 3 star price but expect a 5 star hotel. Or complain about location but know where the hotel is when they book. It's ridiculous. The Hampton Inn is just off the main road in downtown Beaufort. It is Not near the historic district. The rooms are clean, updated and the front desk staff are friendly and helpful. Their breakfast buffet was really good and their coffee bar was a nice touch. The hotel overlooks a beautiful marshy inlet. I sat on their wooden swing with my morning coffee enjoying the view. If you need a place to stay in Beaufort, I'd recommend the Hampton Inn. Picturesque location on the water and clean rooms are this hotel's most redeeming qualities. As Hilton Honors members, we have gotten far better treatment at other locations. The staff, save for one very accommodating and friendly maintenance technician seem to hate working there - an attitude rivaled only by their blatant annoyance at being "disturbed" by the paying guests. We literally heard them disparaging the guests to each other, instead of keeping up with the breakfast area. Breakfast, by the way, was terrible - the limited options offered were bland and rubbery, quite possibly some freeze-dried concoction in lieu of real eggs. There are plenty of other hotels from the Hilton chain in Beaufort and we'll choose from one of them on our next visit. read more

I'm a Hilton Diamond member and spend 150-200 nights per year on the road. This by far the worst Hilton property I have ever stayed at. The staff is very rude and really doesn't care about their customers. Pretty much anything I have asked for I've been denied. No internet at the shared terminal, ask them to xerox a copy of something at the front desk, forget it. With their proximity to Parris Island they are sold out much of the time so they could care less about what anybody thinks. If I could rate zero stars I would. read more

Under renovation. Horrible TV reception. Clock doesn't work. Housekeeping is on a "ask for it if needed basis." Unresponsive management. I asked for an extra rolling desk chair during our stay so that we could sit and watch my laptop together and was told there were no extras. However, there are many rooms unoccupied. I also asked about parking downtown and was given basically a shoulder shrug. "It's wherever you can find it," he said. We have stayed at many Hampton Inns and are Hilton Honors members of long standing. This one has been a disappointment. Will not stay here again. read more

The rooms are very well kept. The beds very comfy. The worker at the front desk was at work in her hair bonnet. It's still a business. Unfortunately I'm very big on breakfast and it sucked. There were no eggs, grits packets with no way to cook or prepare them, and the waffle maker was broken. I was left with sausage, oatmeal, yogurt, potatoes and toast as options. read more

We had a nice, spur of the moment stay here several months ago, and the staff were all very accommodating. The room was clean, our bed was large and comfortable. The hotel is really not ideally located, as you will have to drive 5 minutes to get downtown. However, for the cost, I don't have a hard time dealing with the drive. My wife and her parents stayed at this location during a recent trip. We found this hotel to be in need of repairs. The carpet is in bad shape and was in need of a cleaning or was just stained. The bathroom ceiling had been repaired and had tape hanging down from the ceiling, cracks, and missing paint. The bed linens may have been clean but had stains on them which led me to believe they were not clean. We only were provided with two towels for our stay. T the time of our arrival both of our rooms were hot and exceeded 80 degrees and took a great deal of time to cool off. The front desk clerk at check-in was not helpful and didn't make us feel welcome or seem to care that we were there. I had o ask about breakfast to which there was none, I had to ask where the elevators were because she didn't advise. He basically handed us the keys to our two rooms and that was it. I had to even ask which room had double beds and which one had the king. He didn't care that we were Hilton Honor members and didn't make us feel like we were appreciated at all. The lone shining star was the housekeeper we encountered in the elevator. She was friendly, smiling, and made us feel welcome and appreciated. I wish I had gotten her name but I failed to do so. I do know she was to have been off that day and was called in. She stated she was to have been off three days but had been called in a couple of days yet she still had a smile on her face and was happy. She is the person you need at the front desk. read more

Front desk staff ignored the line if people trying to check in as she took a ten minute phone call. I suppose nobody showed her how to use the "hold" function!? Hotel itself was old and tired. Breakfast offerings were pathetic. (Yes, I know about COVID but I have stayed at several other Hamptons in the past couple of months and they managed a much better breakfast. BUGS! UGH :-(......Got in late after a 12 hour drive and dropped into bed.....Left early next morning to take care of business in the area. That afternoon when I arrived back in hotel I had to kill a roach and another small bug.....tried not to let it freak me out. During the night, got up to use the restroom had to kill another roach. ARGH! Exhausted fell back in bed and when I got up around 7am got to chase down and kill yet another roach. I couldn't pack my stuff quick enough, vigorously checking everything as I went. Stopped by front desk and told them they have a bug issue and need to spray immediately and noted that I left two dead roaches in the tub for them to clean up. Front desk response was "well this is the south"....REALLY???????????????? $100 plus per night and that is your response?????? I live in the south and yet I don't have to kill 3 roaches on a daily basis....clean up your act and spray regularly :-(. Then she proceeded to note that maybe it is near the time of the month when they need to spray again..... WILL NOT STAY HERE AGAIN when I visit family in the area! YUCK read more

I've stayed at this hotel many, many, many times over the years. While a bit outdated in comparison to other Hampton Inn properties, it was always clean, comfortable, convenient, and friendly. My stay for the past two weeks was not that at all. The staff was indifferent at best. At check-in, I was told there was no water available so I stopped by the desk on the second day and requested a bottle after a long day of working outside. I was directly told "no" and advised that it is only available at the time of check-in. When I indicated the lack of availability, the woman said "Sorry, but I can't just take your word for it." I couldn't believe it. While I understand that it is "only a bottle of water," it was the principle. I'm a long-time gold member and have stayed at Hilton properties all over the world. I've never experienced such insulting behavior from hotel staff. On the 5th night of my stay (a Thursday), a colleague and I were in the lobby working at roughly 4:30pm. A guest called the front desk to request someone come to a light service in her room. According to the gentleman that took the call, she simply wanted fresh towels and trash removal - and it was only 4:30pm. The female employee sitting at the lobby table watching television and eating a pile of the fresh cookies (which I noticed she did every single day of my stay) was outraged that some "old lady" had her Do Not Disturb sign up all day and then wanted the employees to "jump at her beck and call." I'm not sure how she came to that conclusion, but she continued to rant and complain about guests in general while we and other guests sat in the lobby. Another worker came in about that time and she sent them to the room. She was absolutely not willing to attend to this guest's request in any way. It was unreal to listen to her go on and on about it. She and the man at the desk then spent no less than 30 minutes complaining about every aspect of their jobs in front of guests. If you dislike your job, that's okay. But maybe you are more selective in what you say and where you say it. The room itself left a lot to be desired this trip. I had two basic maintenance requests during my stay: a bathroom light (which was changed) and a running toilet (which was not addressed). Both times I went to the front desk to request maintenance first thing in the morning and indicated I'd be out all day for work so there was no specific rush. On both occasions, the desk manager never asked for my room number until I asked if they needed it. Would they magically know where the issue was? Again, it came across as indifference. The room itself was continuously damp and humid during my stay - very uncomfortable. My colleague's room was filthy and reeked. She ended up changing rooms 3 times before getting put in one that did not have that same foul odor. With the climate control clearly failing (it wasn't nearly as humid outside), it won't take long for long of the rooms to smell that way. There is a new Home2 near the Air Station and I can only imagine maybe the energy for staffing and maintenance is now being put into the new property. After years of loyalty to this Hampton Inn, I may have to consider where that loyalty now lies. read more

You get a pool, hot breakfast, microwave and fridge, good customer service, and the list can go on. The rooms are comfy and the free wifi is awesome. I'll start out by saying I'm not picky when it comes to hotels. I've slept pretty much anywhere you can imagine to include a tent in Afghanistan for 7 months. But this place is a shithole. First room sounded like there was a squirrel in the ac and the toilet was constantly running. Second room seemed ok till I took a shower and the tub was clogged, instantly I was in shin deep water. The quality of ppl that stay here is garbage as well. Doors constantly slamming and ppl talking loud as hell at all hours of the night. I get it, your son or daughter is ab to be a Marine (most guests stay here for MCRD graduation ) but that doesn't give you the right to be an asshole. This hotel as well as the Holiday Inn jack up their rates for graduation to take advantage of these families which is also bullshit. They are literally ripping of the family's of ppl that are serving our country!!!! Sorry you've lost my business. read more

This hotel is not well cleaned. The air conditioner in my room was so nasty, I really did not run it. I personally feel they need a call to hotel impossible. This is my only trip to Beaufort, but if I were to come back this place would not be on the list. Listing this place has pool is a bit of a stretch. Poor is an upgrade. I booked and paid in full almost four months prior to my stay. I call the day of and confirm my reservation and they send me an email for contactless check-in. I arrive at the hotel at 11:30pm(check-in is from 3:00pm-3:00am according to email and website, also the reason I paid in full and called to confirm). The lady at the front desk would not even open the door. She rudely told me over the phone on the wall they were overbooked and gave my room away. They have a USMC flag in their lobby as if they're USMC friendly. We are in town to watch our 3rd Marine graduate from boot camp and of all the hotels we've stayed at here, never have we ever had this happen. I will never book at this hotel again. Now I'm out the $600 I paid for our reservation, again in full, for 5-7 business days and literally left out in the rain with 4 children, no room, and not even an apology. We stayed here for our sons Graduation on Parris Island. It's close to the Depot, clean, and the staff were wonderful. They also have a late checkout till noon on Graduation Day so our new Marine could take a shower and change. I totally recommend staying here. read more

Lindsey the manager is a miserable, unfriendly, unprofessional being (I have no idea if Lindsey is male or female). The rooms were musty, bugs were on one of my guests bed but I didn't ask for my money back, I just wanted to leave. When Lindsey asked for payment for the rest of my stay, I told him/her I would not be finishing my stay due to the 6 people (most were under 18) I was responsible for; I couldn't take chances there were bedbugs. She/he got angry and said, "That's fine because we were going to ask you to leave anyway". Kid you not. I had a Hilton employee as a guest and they couldn't believe what that pos said to me. Well, we had it out, she/he even balled her/his fist up like getting ready to throw a punch. It all ending with her/him threatening to call police and that's when I blacked out and starting screaming. I was irate. Hilton corporate was useless. Never got my money back because LINDSEY was the one to make that decision. Their policy of refunding customers for a miserable stay is obviously bogus! This stay was attributed to my son graduating from Parris Island . I hadn't seen him in 3 months. It was a very very important special 3 days and this fiasco happened on the day I finally got to take him home...and happened right in front of him as he wore his service bravos (less formal uniform than dress blues). I wanted everything to be perfect for him but it has forever been tainted by one disgusting pig of a human being. I'll never forget it unfortunately. Four little pillows on a king size bed. We asked for more and we were told they would "see". Someone brought two more tiny pillows and stood around as if they were waiting for a tip.
