Pretty decent location...about 10-15 minutes from the islands. There are several shopping/food places nearby. The hotel itself is as expected, clean and the hotel staff is friendly. The only negative is they don't honor Hilton credits because they don't have a restaurant. I think that's silly because they still do offer snacks and other things to purchase at the front desk. Unacceptable Safety Breach & Shocking Management Failures I returned to my room at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, July 15th to find housekeeping had left my door propped wide open to the public. I immediately went to the front desk where two receptionists were working. One receptionist located an available, clean room and actively began processing my safety transfer, while the other receptionist stepped away to call General Manager Faith Allen, who was off-property. Faith Allen explicitly ordered the staff to halt the transfer and withhold the clean room to prioritize guests who hadn't even checked in yet, forcing me out into the night for my own safety. When I noticed they wrongfully billed me for an extra night, I called Faith Allen on Thursday. Instead of showing accountability, she was aggressive and dismissive. She told me I checked out after 4:00 PM, ordered me to "live with it," and insisted I would absolutely be charged--completely ignoring that her own staff's severe safety breach forced my emergency departure. Her total lack of integrity and hostile attitude are a disgrace to the Hilton brand. When I tried to escalate her actions, I discovered the ownership group, Fidelity Management Group, has completely disconnected phone lines and ignores all emails. They are running a reckless franchise with zero local oversight. Ultimately, the Hilton Corporate Executive Office had to step in, override this local property, force a full night's refund, and issue major compensation for these severe violations. Avoid this location. Faith Allen is a liability, and Fidelity Management Group is completely asleep at the wheel. read more

Adorable hotel. Lobby smelled moldy. They had a wide array of snacks for sale. Lavazza coffee was available 24/7. I doubt it was lavazza. It was not delicious or strong like Lavazza is well known for. Waking up to a lame breakfast and weak coffee, was a disappointment. Paying the extra cost of staying there over the many other choices in that area was not worth it, unfortunately. If only the coffee was good! read more

T r u hotel had everything I needed for a one night stay. The receptionist was pleasant and answered all my questions. Every staff member greeted me and had a great personality. The rooms were perfect. The bathroom supplied any necessity I needed including shampoo, lotion and body wash. Very up to date hotel. Attending graduation for I'm son graduating from Marine Bootcamp! Stayed here over night. Had an issue with the refrigerator in the room and Natasha came to the room to fix the issue. She was very nice and did a good job cleaning up and replacing the fridge. Issue... she has a brace on her knee! She struggled with getting the fridge out but she did it like a trooper! She is a shining example of a hard worker and she be rewarded for that! Nice room, pleasant employees. I enjoyed my stay. read more

I was in the area and booked this room at the last minute. I am loyal to the Hilton brand and wanted something affordable, hence the reason I picked this spot. I am NOT a fan of the True properties. They are indee budget options. The walls are thin, and just pretty basic rooms. I am pretty sure you will never say you were impressed by a room at a Tru Hotel. With that being said, I went into this one with low expectations. I simply needed a clean place to lay my head for a few hours prior to hitting the road back to Atlanta. I booked the room online via the Hilton app a few hours prior to my arrival. Using a standard GPS app got me to this location with no problems. The hotel basically share an area with another Hilton property. When we walked in I immediately smelled a foul odor. I don't really know how to describe it, but not the typical smell good aroma of a hotel. I was assisted by the staff, who provided average service. She was not particularly friendly and just did her job- nothing more- not even a smile. The room served its purpose. As noted above- the walls were thin and we could hear very clearly the patrons in the room attached to our room. The reason for the average rating is because this is an average hotel. Don't look for anything special and you will be satisfied. read more

I had two different reservations in one stay, the first room we stayed in was super clean, only issue we had and the whole reason we switched rooms was because the mattress (not the sheets) reeked of dirty smelly BO and it was unbearable to even have to sleep in, along with the tv not working and not turning off. The next room we stayed in had a clean bed and working tv but the shower was not installed properly and due to it not being properly sealed, water just pours out of the bottom of it and the shower door was hard to close without ripping off the other half of the shower due to improper installation. Breakfast at this hotel is not anything special, basic cereals, toast, mushy eggs and questionable sausage. For the value this hotel is okay if you get a good clean room but overall wasn't super impressed. read more

First experience at a Tru by Hilton Hotel. Found it on a roadtrip and decided to give it a try. Glad we did. We arrived at nearly 2am check in was no issue and the doors were locked which means good security. There was hot tea and coffee in the lobby. Room was nice and clean and fully stocked. Breakfast included in our nightly rate. 6-9am pancakes, toast, cereal, eggs, breakfast meat. no fruit tho Was able to park my uhaul with an autotransport. The parking lot was very full seems to be a popular place. read more

When we arrived they said the reservation was canceled due to not having payment info on file... despite the fact we stay there regularly and them having all of our info. Comfortable bed, big TV, easy check in, but I'm not a fan of Tru. It's like they're designed by some teenager who hasn't really traveled and a cost accountant. I never get a good night's sleep at this chain because they're cheap new construction and you hear everything through the floors and walls. Even with a fan blasting, you hear EVERYTHING!!! Leaves me sleepless and wondering whether or not synchronized snoring could actually be strong enough to vibrate a building down and the time to write this silly review. I would have given it four stars but the walls are too thin. You can hear the people next to you (and they are not exceptionally noisy). You can also hear people walking above you. It's a new hotel with a boutique feeling, in the middle of nowhere. It's also 30 minutes away from hwy 95. It's clean and the staff are friendly. Btw, we were here in a Saturday, so no worker, but there's a construction project adjacent to the property. read more

I travel to Beaufort to care for my father who is a disabled veteran. The hotel is convenient to all of Beaufort, surrounding areas, and military bases. The staff is nice and helpful. The pantry is well stocked for late night snacks. The common areas are nice and cozy. Although I don't have time to use them when I visit, I enjoy seeing the new bikes and pool table. We went to Marine Corp Graduation and booked here for our stay. They did not disappoint. Clean room. Comfortable beds and pillows. Nice hot showers. All employees were amazing. They only issue I had was noisy neighbors, but that was swiftly dealt with. Definitely recommend booking here for Graduation as it's just a short drive to Parris Island.​ read more

After being at a sketchy motel here in Beaufort, I chose to come here for the rest of my trip. They saved me. It's Hilton or nothing from now on. I have a feeling this hotel just opened as there were guys walking around with shirts that said "Opening Staff" on them. He stopped me and asked if there was anything I needed or noticed anything. I told him about the elevator and he ensured me it was now working which it was. I was really pleased with this hotel and I wish it was up 5 years ago when my son first went into the Marines. The coffee was delicious, the staff super friendly, the room was super clean. Only thing happened was that a guy was trying to get in our room at midnight and said it was his room but obviously there was a mistake. Will definitely stay here again, give it a try. If I could give a negative rating I would... not only was the hotel customer service terrie from the strat the comforter actually bed skirts. The next morning we left the hotel around 8am for an event. We returned around 5pm. When we got back we noticed a few things missing, including a pair of apple air pod pro. Instead if jumping to the conclusions that someone stole them we looked everywhere and even try to locate them on find my iPhone app. When we could find them we went down stairs to notify the desk. The manager had called out and couldn't help us. We drove back the next day and had to call today to file a complaint of theft. The front desk manager John told us that "nobody should have been in our room" we are aware nobody should have been in our room but they were. We where then told that there wS nothing he could do. We even tried to call hilton whom were very rude as well, and told us there was nothing they could do because they didn't hold appropriate authority over their own franchise!? Overall there was no help to be found anywhere, I also can't file a police report because I don't live near beufort to do so. Considering I've been stolen too and been rudely "brushed off" hilton has just lost a gold member , and honors member since 2013. Very very disappointing. read more
