Love it here. Bathroom was my favorite part because I could hear some guy directly upstairs from me taking lotta dumps! I could hear it echo through the pipes lovely sound! Air conditioner acts up a bit sounds like a broken tractor that I used to work on back in my day it usually kicks on at the most unexpected times like 3am 4 or 1 am or 6 or 7 in a morning. Befist was good bacon rubbery just how I like it! I also drived around to get some food and it so yummy. I was under the impression this was a pet friendly hotel. After we got to our room, they called our phone and had us come down and put another credit card on file for "incidentals". I assumed this was standard. They then charged my credit card extra fees without warning me. When I called about the charge, Eden from the front desk accused me of "sneaking" a pet in. No one mentioned anything to us during the stay, they only charged my card without my authorization after the fact and then accused me of malicious behavior. If they ask for a secondary payment method, ensure they tell you why. They lied to me about what the card was going to be used for. Other reviews on here complain of their price gouging as well. Clean, simple, and exactly what we needed for a night. Free breakfast in the morning. Checkout is late. And they are dog friendly! We went on a night that there weren't many guests in the hotel, so we were able to be pretty isolated, which is great because we have a very nervous dog that barks every time a door closes. My only complaint is that even walking across the floors in the room sounds like you are stomping to the room below you. You can feel it when you walk across your own room -- so we tried to walk lightly -- but we were woken by a toddler running around in the room above us (how much could the kid possibly weigh that the noise was so loud)? We were just passing through on a cross-country trip, but it would've been pretty annoying if we had been trying to sleep in. This 1star review is for Hampton Inn corporate policies and practices regarding an unfortunate experience regarding Hampton Inn Buffalo/Hamburg. I was trying to find a hotel room for a family member who was traveling in the area. All other hotels were full so I looked HI up on the internet and every ad said the rate was between $110 and $127. I then called the number under the ad for that specific hotel and the first thing I heard was "if this is a new reservation, press 1". I did and a woman took my call and said there was 1 room left and she quoted me a rate of $110 plus tax. (Which was consistent with the price on the internet.) I booked the room and gave her my card to hold it. I got the address and confirmation # and texted it to my family member. I then received an email and the rate was $287.50! I was shocked! I called my family member and he had just checked in so I told him to go back to the front desk so I could talk to the clerk. I told the clerk what happened and he told me that I had reserved thru the Reservation call center. I told him I thought I was talking to the hotel front desk and he said that # was the 4th or 5th prompt!!! Now, how was I to know that??? He then said all the Hampton Inns set their own rates! NO WHERE was the $287.50 rate listed! He said the best he could do was reduce it (to or by) $150 and would have to have his manager approve it. Since my family member was checked in and it was late, I figured that was better than nothing. I then called the number again and got the call center and spoke to someone else who informed me that the hotel reduced the rate to $227.50! I again explained what i was quoted and was transferred to Guest Assistance (GA) because they had authority to fix this. Well, the man at GA, who said he was a supervisor, told me he had no authority to fix this but he would file a complaint and I would hear back in 3 days. When that did not happen, I called GA and explained what happened. After an hour and a half ( at least half of that time on hold) I was informed that they reviewed the tape and i was quoted a rate of $251 plus tax! I absolutely did not hear that amount and there is no way $110 can be confused with $251! I would not have spent a total of almost 2.5 hours over 2 days on the phone with them if I did not hear what I heard! As I said to this last person at GA, as a Silver Reward Member, it is obvious I valued Hampton Inn more than they valued me and because their policies and practices are misleading and deceptive, I would never stay with them again. And, since I had difficulty hearing the agent I dealt with because her English was limited, I suggested to Guest Assistance that, in the future, they staff the reservation call center with people who can speak English clearly. read more

The rooms smell like feet. We had our room switched at least once...still feet smell. The lock for the men's room in the lobby does not work. Staff seems very friendly and are doing their best. Poor design of the building. Pool right next to elevators. Floor is always wet and dangerous. Carpets in the bedroom are an old trend. Hence the chlorine and feet smell in the room. Check in: Piece of cake as we got in really late and with the hotel still being almost new the place was dead. The staff that was on was having a chat/smoke outside and all were very pleasant. Breakfast: Still working the kinks out on this one a little bit. Both mornings the garbage was filled with no one attempting to empty it. The menu was the exact same both days with the hot items being french toasts strips, plain scrambled eggs and the kielbasa. Look, I'm not saying that you should expect a seven course meal at a Hampton for breakfast but I've been to enough locations to know that you should also expect a little something more then the same thing two straight days along with my personal pet peeve which is oatmeal that has a soup like consistency versus being thicker/normal. Room: We probably were the first or second people to stay in that room and everything looked great and of course ooozed the scent of newness. The one thing I don't care for in the new Hampton rooms is the lack of a traditional dresser/the room does not have a closet. Instead of a dresser you a few small wire baskets that are next to the fridge which slide in and out. I call this functionally useless. It looks nice until you try to use it and realize that if you've got more than two people in the room or if you're going to be at the hotel for a few days hopefully you don't intend to fully unpack. Also the bathroom sink is a little on the short side. A square shaped sink with a very short spout. Odd. We did need to have maintenance in the room after we left the first morning as the toilet ran nonstop including it running when we got to the room unless the tank arm was held as far up as it could be held. We told the FD and the guy said they had a lot of rooms with that problem and that it would be fixed no problem. We got back to the room that night and it was fixed. Two other minutia points I'm going to mention. Morning #1 of our stay in rained most of the day and there was water coming thru the ceiling in multiple places in the breakfast area. The hotel had garbage cans positioned under most of the leaks but we noticed one that was leaking right onto the floor which is a great way for someone to fall on their ass. My wife mentioned this to the FD and on our way out thirty minutes later it was still dripping/leaking in the same spot. That's a great way to get sued or to destroy a brand new building by having water go everywhere. As we checked out we really didn't care for several staff members sitting on the side of the building amongst parked cars all having a smoke. Nothing like being inundated with smoke while packing up the car, yuck! Overall the building looks great as it's still less than a month old but there are certainly some issues that need to be worked out to make this more than a three star place in my book. read more

I've stayed here 2 weeks in a row for work! Frank was amazing. I called him before returning for the second week cause my first week wasn't the greatest due to the people in the room above me, so I called Frank & he got me put up on the fourth floor for my second week stay! Breakfast is Okay not much to pick from for a vegetarian. But overall stay was good! I'd definitely stay again if I'm ever out this way again! read more

Met at check in with a glowing report that this hotel was built in "millennial style ", so that meant No hot tub. We really missed that! And then the walls are so super thin that we were kept awake by late night conversations in the rooms next door. Not really up to Hampton Inn standards. The breakfast was good but they are still serving pre packaged junk. I was happy that there were some fresh options at least. This was a wonderful hotel. The staff at the front desk where polite and very kind. Very clean and updated rooms. The breakfast had a good variety of healthy options. The one thing I didn't like was in our two queen bed room was that the barn door had a opening between the wall and the door (part of the design) that left the person exposed in the bathroom because of mirror placement inside the bathroom. This wouldn't cause me not to recommend this hotel just something to think about if you are sharing the rooms with people you don't want to see naked. Lol. Great stay at Hampton Inn as usual. Despite the rather echoey new construction the room (accessible suite on the 4th floor) was quiet and well equipped. The pool is wonderful. This was my second stay at Hampton Inn Buffalo Hamburg. It's a fairly new facility and is conveniently located within sight of Interstate 90. During both visits the staff was prompt and friendly. Both the lobby and eating area were neat and clean. Each time my room was thoroughly clean with fresh bedding and bath towels. The complimentary breakfast seems to be standardized across the Hampton Inn group. That said, the kitchen staff hustled, the hot food was, as promised, HOT; the fruit was fresh. Rates were consistent with Hampton Inn charges in other parts of the country. I've tried all the nearby competition and Hampton Inn Hamburg Buffalo is the best choice! read more

We were very happy with our stay here. We had been in Utica to pick up my son's vehicle and needed a place to stay on the way back. This Hampton was just off the highway and rather convenient for our circumstances. The curbside appearance was up to Hampton standards. It fronted two other budget hotels owned by the same group. The facility was new (open two weeks as per the desk agent). Our room was quite nice as it was clean and spacious. The flat-screen TV worked well for us and the available programming was more than adequate. The beds were comfortable and the surroundings were quiet allowing us to get good sleep. The bathroom was clean and sufficiently roomy. The staff were engaging and friendly. The breakfast buffet worked well for us. It featured Polish Sausage, which is my favorite among Hamptons offerings. Along with this was the normal array of eggs, breads, fruit, yogurt and juices. As a Hilton Diamond member, I had enough points to stay free but the normal room rate appeared to be between $125 and $150, which would be a good deal in my estimation. I would not hesitate to stay here again if the situation dictated. read more

I stayed at this hotel after a wedding, and my friends and family booked a few rooms. We had a bit of fun in our room after the wedding, and our neighbors were unhappy with the amount of noise we were making. Dianna gave us a call from the front desk, and let us know, but she was unbelievably pleasant, and very respectful about letting us enjoy our time. She told us that we could come to the lobby to hang out, and was incredibly accommodating. We had a wonderful time at the Hampton Inn! read more

My friend set up a block of rooms for her wedding weekend. I stayed one night. The rate was 175 plus tax. To me this price is pretty steep considering it's not really convenient to anything but the thru way. This hotel has been recently remodel top to bottom. The lobby and common areas are modern and inviting. The hotel is very clean. The rooms are tastefully decorated with nice modern finishes. The beds were pretty comfortable, but I hated the pillows.... But I'm very picky about pillows. They offer free continental plus breakfast. The plus is for the hot food selection of omletes and bacon...buffet style. I was not a fan of either selection so I opted for a bagel. Can't really mess that up. The staff was very friendly. Everyone said hello or asked how we were doing. Even with all the positives I still believe the price to be too high to warrant another stay. I called 2 weeks ago and asked someone at holiday inn if it was possible if I rented room, could I have my daughters 7th birthday by the pool there with ten kids and their parents would be there to watch them. The man I spoke to was extremely accommodating. Said definitely that was doable. Then I asked if we could use their meeting room for the gifts and food so we don't eat around the pool, again the answer was definitely yes. Then out of sheer luck, one of my daughters friends showed up Thursday the 24th instead of the Saturday the 26th. She called about the mistake and also informed me the pool was closed due to damage. I explained my situation and he said "I don't know who told you that but you can't do that. Also, the meeting room is not available " I asked to speak to the manager and he said he was the district manager and there was nothing he could do because that was their policy. He didn't even apologize for it while listening to me cry and asking how I'm going tell my 7 year old. So after some research and calling several hotels, I got ahold of the Hampton inn in Hamburg. I explained to him(frank) what happened with the other the hotel and the fact that the party was supposed to be in two days. Frank then assured me that I could definitely do the party. I was up front with him about the ten kids and everything and I asked him SEVERAL TIMES if he was sure this was ok and he said definitely and he would put a note in my reservation about it. The next night I got a voicemail from someone named sandy stating that I cannot have my party. So I called and spoke to frank. He said that he didn't know I was planning to have that many kids which he definitely knew because I had explained to him my situation. Then he back pedaled and stated that my name was flagged for the reservation because they're owned by the same people that own the holiday inn!!! The flag stated that they told me I couldn't have my party and not to let me book there! How dare they!!! They flat out disregarded the fact that TWO of their employees lied to me or unknowingly were t trained correctly and didn't offer me anything for this horrible even that happened not once, but TWICE! So I broke my daughters heart today and had to cancel her party. I need to reschedule but I will definitely never recommend or stay with these chains again. read more

I have stayed at many Hilton properties. I have noticed that the new hotels and remodeled ones have two annoying design flaws: 1. The floors are not sound proof. You can hear people walking above you and in some cases the TV. This Hampton has the same issue, although it is more prevalent in the newer Hilton Home2. 2. Barn door. There is a gap around the door - sort of makes it feel like a public stall. As for this Hampton, the staff was pleasant, rooms clean and better than average Hampton breakfast. read more

Not a great experience, and...very expensive for this area. We were visiting family so we know what prices should be, and we travel quite extensively. This is a new hotel, they need to think about some semblance of customer service. We checked in on Sunday and there was one person at the front desk, who was on the phone. Upon our arrival, he just looked up, no greeting and said, I'm going to be awhile. We sat in two chairs, luggage in tow, tired from traveling, wanting to go to our room...we sat for 15-20 minutes. Still no greeting, still on the phone! Finally, he motioned us to the front desk. While checking in, another front deck person appeared. We asked how the Waterstone restaurant is, which is right next door...both blankly stared at each other... both said they had no idea as they weren't from around there. How about taking some initiative and focusing for one second on your customer and find out! No initiative taken. My husbandand I looked at each other and said hands down, worst check-in experience we've ever had. We travel a lot. The room was ok, but not $160 a night fine. View was of a concrete wall. Room #205, I wouldnt recommend due to the view and the very high pitched noise coming from the air conditioning vent, that kept me awake quite a bit. Check-out was the same gentleman who checked us in, his customer service was equally as bad upon check-out. read more

Worst experience in a hotel in my entire life. No sleep for two days because you can hear EVERY STEP, WORD, COUGH FROM THE ROOM ABOVE. Finally called front desk at 2 am to ask them to do something. No help, but they do have free earplugs by the bed for their guests...that don't help. This place was built like a cheap apartment complex. Also A/C puts out coolish air...never got less than warm in our room. They also put us in a handicap accessible room, which is typically fine, but this shower dribbles water out of its 4 ft 6 in shower head. Stay anywhere, but don't stay here. read more

The door on the bathroom was a sliding farm-style type door that did not close completely. Wifi is absolutely horrendous, I don't recommend coming if your here on business and need wifi like I do, or if you just need wifi to get in your phone. I'm a diamond member and a Hilton honors member, and I'm supposed to get "premium wifi", but it's absolutely awful here. read more
