Took my son to the Buffalo Bills game on November 16 2025. Wanted a decent place to stay within a reasonable distance of Highmark Stadium. Saw plenty of good reviews for this hotel and so I booked it. We were greeted politely and checked in quickly. The room was a bit dated but it was spacious, quiet, comfortable and clean. Clean being the most important. It was spotless. We enjoyed the hot tub and pool. The pool also looked dated but was crystal clear and immaculately clean. In the morning, we enjoyed a tasty breakfast with fresh made waffle, eggs and yogurt (there was more. This was a very good breakfast with lots of options). The coffee and hot chocolate were excellent. I want to mention Lorne as he was there both nights of our stay. He was friendly, helpful and provided exceptional service. i was very happy with this establishment and will definitely stay here again. read more

Man, I truly do not understand how people treat complete strangers like absolute garbage when they've been nothing but nice in exchange. It's literally the hospitality industry. I've been on the road for 6+ weeks and I'm flabbergasted by how I was treated by the front desk (her name was Jackie) directly upon contact. It's such an awful feeling to be treated badly when you've been away from home for so long and are hoping to be in a comfortable space every night. Also, upon check out, the hallways and lobby smelled like rotten egg so badly, I got sick to my stomach. There are a couple of nice employees I interacted with but I will not stay here again. read more

We reserved a date through AARP's travel service. I had to change the date of the reservation, but Sleep Inn did not get the change. I don't know why they didn't get the change. They had no vacancies, and they refused to refund my payment. Under the circumstances, I think they should have been more accommodating. I will never give Sleep Inn my business again. read more

We stayed here 4 nights in late September 2024 to explore from Buffalo to Old Fort Niagara. We had a king room that was clean and compact. The AC worked well but would only go down to 66, which is a little warm for me. I would have opened the window, but it didn't have a screen. The room was very well lit, which we appreciated. This hotel is popular with bus tours, which means that the small breakfast room can be crowded. We took our food to our room at least once. All the staff were pleasant. read more

I was only at the hotel for one night, and even that overnight was short (arriving after midnight and leaving by 10:30am the next morning), but I was underwhelmed. Check-in was easy enough, but when I tried to check-out the next morning I couldn't get anybody to pay attention to the desk and I had to nearly make my way into the kitchen in order to find someone. Besides that, the fire alarm had gone off at 8am. I assume something in the kitchen got burned? The fire alarm got turned off quickly, but still... not exactly what someone wants to wake up to. The air vent in the hallway on the 4th floor / near the elevators is absurdly loud... and, on the other hand, the fan/vent in my room itself took forever to even boot on (and was intermittently loud when it WAS on). The room seemed pretty clean, besides some stray hairs here and there (especially in the bathroom). I didn't stay long though, so didn't really check all that much. At least the bedding seemed clean. TL;DR Underwhelmed, considering how high all the reviews seemed to be. Fan/cooling vents and all (in general) could use some maintenance. Staff was nice enough, but not especially attentive. Would pick a different hotel if staying around Amherst/Buffalo next time. read more

Staff was super nice. Making the most out of COVID. They gave out breakfast boxes by order with water and milk, granola bars and cereal, donuts, microwavable breakfast sandwiches. Those boxes were awesome and we had snacks to bring home. Had private pool times by reservation which was lovely. Lucky for us there weren't many people we had to compete with for a slot. The room was small and crammed but for the $54 a night we paid it was perfect. The main complaint we had was that the vent in the bathroom didn't work. The AC in the room worked great. The room and bedding was clean. The towels were small and there were only 2 and there weren't many house keeping personal around to just grab some extra from but we made due. The cable service was crappy, it didn't even have a guide. The alarm clock wasn't set to the correct time, which wasn't super hospitable-- but easy corrected. We used a friends and family link through choice hotels and got the room for cheap. The kids wanted a pool and elevator and that's what they got. We would stay here again but we love bouncing around and checking them all out. read more

I stayed in this motel for months at a time due to work in that area I liked this motel--clean, friendly and helpful staff. Nice clean pool. Breakfast was decent. Rooms were clean. Prices a little high but very acceptable. Recently, to increase their bottom line some short-sighted brain dead idiot who doesn't understand the motel business decided to eliminate the plastic trash bags liners in the trash cans in each room. That means at least some remains or coating from what ever is dumped into the trash can from the previous guest is more than likely still there when you check in. More than just paper gets dumped in the trash in motel rooms. Think about that. Also, they changed the paper cups in the coffee area. You can not get a paper cup from the stack of cups without grabbing and holding the ones below it to pull the top one off. That means the rim of the cup you put your lips to has been groped by various other guests. Think about that that and you'll bring your own cup to breakfast. You have to ask yourself if you want to stay in a motel where the rims of the paper cups are fondled by other guests and the trash cans don't have any liners. read more

We are long-time Choice Privileges members. (I love my rewards points!!) We recently stayed here for one night using Points + Cash to pay. For less money than what it would cost to take our family of four to a movie and dinner these days, we had a fun sleepover complete with $5 Pizza Hut pizzas, swimming, HBO, and a hot breakfast in the morning. The desk staff was friendly. The room was small (especially the bathroom), but clean and comfortable. The pool and hot tub were great; it was pretty busy, but still good space to swim and have fun. The breakfast was decent, pretty typical, but they did have Franks Red Hot packets for my eggs. :-) The kids really liked the free vanilla creamer and hot chocolate bar too, which also has coffee and teas, and is all available 24 hours. Overall, a nice stay. When we need another swim staycation five minutes from home, returning to this Sleep Inn is a definite possibility. read more

Our room in this hotel was quite small and crowded, particularly for the price. The room itself was nice enough and updated with modern equipment. The hotel was easy to find and close to the highway. When asked if we had any room preferences, we specifically requested a quiet room and were given one directly in front of the ice machine and elevators. If the clerk's goal was to challenge a customer's patience, this was the perfect way to accomplish that. Seriously, when a hotel is mostly available, why would you EVER put customers requesting quiet directly in front of the ice machine and/or elevators?! read more

I love this hotel. Over the last 9 years, I have probably spent 3 or 4 months of my life here while traveling for work. It is always clean. The desk area is nice and the staff friendly. Plenty of parking. The breakfast is good, typical choice fare. It is convenient to get anywhere from Niagara Falls, to Rochester to Orchard Park. Worst hotel and experience ever! My boyfriend and I occasionally visit Buffalo once every month or so to see friends. We usually stay at the comfort inn on flint road which we love! However, this time we stayed at the sleep inn because it was closer to our destination. The room was very small. In fact, the bathroom and bedroom shared a tiny space. There was no room for us and our stuff. I felt like I was crammed in a tiny closet. Even though the size of the room was a problem, the biggest concern we had was the service. Our toilet clogged randomly , so we called the front desk. The guy working was very rude. When I kindly asked for some service to help us with the toilet he yelled at me saying I had to get the plunger myself and do it. What kind of service is this?? He claimed to be too busy to help, but when we went to get it he was in the back room watching tv. I'm so upset that this was the experience we had. We payed -130 dollars for one night and we got treated with so much disrespect. I feel like we threw our money away for a bad experience and service. I'm very upset!! read more

You ever take a hotel survey? They ask you about the bathroom, the breakfast, and even the pillow fluffiness. But there's one thing they often forget to ask: did you get a good night's sleep? I heard this once in a presentation, and it's stuck with me ever since. All things aside, the purpose of a hotel is for you to have a place to sleep, hence why it's a bed in a room you pay for. Sleep Inn is the lower end of the Choice Hotels brand. Many properties are in less than desirable neighborhoods or look rundown. You don't expect the Four Seasons. And you're not going to get the Four Seasons, but this location will give you a good night's sleep. It also gives you friendly front desk staff and an acceptable, though not memorable, complimentary breakfast (that you pay for as part of your staying there, but hey, complimentary makes us all feel better). I haven't stayed at a Choice Hotels property since January 2007, but our group stayed here and we had a fine time. No stabbings, no bed bugs, no prostitutes (that we no of). The location was easy to find and it was a sold-out venue come Saturday night. It's on the more affordable side of hotels and quiet. Consider it. read more

Not too bad at all. The rooms are clean and the service is friendly. The biggest problem is the breakfast in the morning. It is really great that its included with the room, but the place gets super mobbed with people so much that you might not find a spot to sit down and eat. The wait time to grab your food from the buffet is pretty lengthy so get there as early as you can. read more

This hotel has a strict 21+ policy. They would not let me stay even though I am 19 and have a credit card. For this reason I would not recommend this hotel to anyone trying to travel in the Buffalo area. read more

We had the occasion to stay at this hotel as a result of a death in the family and there were several of us staying here for the funeral. The hotel was clean and sharp looking. The staff was especially accommodating and friendly and professional. The breakfast was excellent and the selection of items was very good, especially since my wife is a diabetic and this hotel obviously knows that diabetics travel and stay in hotels. The room was comfortable and clean and the noise level was very subdued especially during the day even though they are building two new hotels in the immediate vicinity. All in all, we were happy to stay here again as it is our hotel choice when we visit relatives in the area. read more

I had a great experience here. Staff was extremely courteous. Free coffee at all hours. Breakfast was fantastic with fresh fruit and a do-it yourself waffle maker. Room was clean, quiet and comfortable. Can't ask for much more for a modestly priced hotel. I have no interest in this hotel and will probably never be in Buffalo again, but can't say enough good things about it relative to all other hotel experiences. read more
