No hand soap. I have never seen that in any hotel or motel ever. Soap in shower seemed like it has run out. We were given only 2 bath towels though we were 3 people. What were called Queen sized beds were actually full sized beds, not Queens. Top blanket had what looks like urine stains. We asked for a non- smoking room and first room offered was full of smoke. No coffee in room coffee. Unsavory folks hanging out in the parking lot. The good things were that the AC worked and good water pressure. The beds were OK. A little lumpy but not terrible. I always used to stay at red roofs because I saw them as reliable and a step up from the really cheap motel chains. Not after this! read more

Just looking for a bed for the night? This place will do just fine. Beds were very comfortable. Customer service was excellent, very friendly. We were unsure about staying and the gentleman working graciously offered to show us the room. No attitude or negativity. You can tell they've done some nice landscaping. The negatives: the floor was so dirty and sticky. Invest in some Swiffers! The decorative bed cover should be washed every time... all bedding really (the sheets were totally fine). Like I wrote already, landscaping is nice. But the building could use some tlc. So if you're not too bougie to just get a good rest in a decent hotel for more than $100 less than the places next door, this will work just fine. read more

They have a contract to accept people looking to get off of the streets during the winter! AVOID AT ALL COSTS! They wander from room to room to party with the others all night and sleep all day or whenever they pass out, leaving their friends to pound on the doors trying to wake them. The motel itself is in horrible disrepair! It is unclean. The sheets are cheap, dingy and strained, while the comforters are filled with burn holes even though the rooms are non-smoking. The snow removal was non-existent! A minimal attempt at most! No attempt to give access from the parking lot to the rooms and only the narrowest path along the sidewalk! Zero attempt to make a path between cars for their guests. It's amazing that no one has fallen and broken something! The pictures show amenities unavailable. There is no coffee maker or basket of coffee/tea and condiments. They turn the heaters off in the room and it takes 2-3 hours to be okay without your coat! You should plan on going out for dinner and coming back. There's no channel line-up in the room, just guess. We were unfortunately there when there was no hot water and pipes were bursting in some of the rooms. Someone should have explained the cold to the cheap owner turning the heat off will do that. (They also own thep Comfort Inn so expect the same there) If you are looking for a cheap place to rest your head, if you brought earplugs, you found it. When we arrived, we couldn't find the office as there was no exterior signage. Upon entering the room, we were overpowered by the obnoxious odor of a room deodorizer it was so pungent that you could taste it. The toilet never flushed properly during our entire stay. There were only two very coarse bath towels, no hand towels, or wash cloths. One of the bedspreads had a questionable stain on it. Only 1 of the 3 plugs by the beds worked properly. It was evident at at some point an effort was made to upgrade the room with new accessories, but it still felt dingy overall. We will not be back - the Motel 6 across the street is probably a better (and cheaper ) choice. read more

Put me in a room that stunk like pee then refused to refund my money. We were in a hurry to get to the Bills game and I didn't check the room properly, this proved to be a huge mistake. When we got back to sleep we discovered an overwhelming smell of urine. Exhausted we tried to sleep through it to no avail. At 3am got the front desk manager who sprayed lysol AS he was entering the room - in retrospect I believe so he could 'honestly' say he didn't smell any urine. Try sleeping in a room full of lysol fumes. Got next to zero sleep and even had the taste of pee and lysol on my palate! This was the worst hotel stay in my life and it's not even close. Do NOT try to save a few bucks by staying at this hotel. If I can save even one person from an experience like mine by writing this review it will be worth it read more

This is by far the most poorly managed hotel I've ever stayed at. I was here for work, there were 10 rooms booked for our working team and each of us were given a confirmation number to our room. We were sharing with another co-worker. The front desk convinced all of our team that they did not in confirmation numbers and blindly put people in the 10 rooms as they came in, not knowing who was in the rooms. This Left four of our team members without rooms at 3:00 a.m. And 5:00 a.m. In the morning after driving 6 to 8 hours from Baltimore. You would think because this was the hotel's mistake for not checking confirmations of people who checked in, they would accommodate our team with another room, however, that was not the case and we were forced to come out of pocket for our own room. Additionally, when the rooms were sorted by our team the next day, they didn't sent hotel staff into the room slept in prior by other people to be cleaned or have linens flipped. There was dried rice, rat droppings, and blunt wrappers in our dresser drawers, The underside of the bed had clearly not been vacuumed in months and and my feet became black after about an hour of walking barefoot on the floor, which I spilled water on and cleaned up, only to see the towel become completely black from dirt on the floor. The shower hadn't been scrubbed in what I assume to be months, there was mold on the shower curtain, and we're were looked at with a bothered look when we asked The pillows on the bed were completely flat and each bed only had two pillows, I've literally never stated at a hotel where the queen size beds did not come with four pillows. When we went to the front desk and asked for additional pillows, we had to follow what I could only assume to be the manager down to the next hotel building only to be told they only had two extra pillows and we had to bring the flat ones back because they did not have enough pillows if someone else needed them. Why you have a hotel and you don't have a stock of extra pillows beyond two extra pillows is beyond me. Additionally, the pillows we were given as extras were just as flat as the first, so at that point exchanging them seemed pointless. If you needed fresh towels, you had to take them to the lobby located at the opposite end of the parking lot and exchange them for fresh towels. The woman changing linens in the rooms was using a Walmart shopping cart to haul fresh and dirty linens. This whole hotel needs a serious overhaul. Especially for $80 a night for a redroof. If you're going to provide this poor of service, at least lower your room prices to reflect the service given. read more

This place kinda sucked. You could clearly tell that they don't wash the decorative sheet on top of the beds they were stained and disgusting. Our sheets also had gross stains and the wall had some weird residue that almost looked like blood. Our toilet wasn't working so the maintenance guy came to fix it, he knocked and came in but didn't say a word to us; when he was done he walked out dripping toilet water all over our room. Honestly if you want to stay in this area you are better off picking the holiday inn or comfort inn that's behind the red roof. read more

The bed spread was covered with some sort of sticky genetic matter. The sheet had a dog's paw print on it. The wall next to the bed had foot prints on it. The floor was sticky. Found long blond hair in the sheets under covers. I'm a black male with a buzz cut...not mine. Bathtub was dirty. Broken furniture and little things around. Stayed for a Bills game 2 days. Checked the bed for bedbugs thank god seen no signs. But there were dead flies in bathroom light fixture. Went out for breakfast and a tour around came back at 2pm no room cleaning service. Apparently you have to request it. When we checked out there was a line to complain. Literally 4 people on line to complain. Ridiculousness!!! Next game I will get rooms elsewhere. If you don't mind paying $400 a night for a bed bug infested room then this is the place for you. There was a snow storm we got off the highway to find a room. We called and were told yes we only have one room available. After being charged $400 for the night mind you it's like 1:30 am, we walk into a room that smelled like smoke. The TV was on but there was no remote. Called the front desk the guy told is it may have fallen somewhere and to look for it. We called back and I will say he brought us a remote inspite of the snow storm. 2 minutes from getting into the bed, I see something from the corner of my eye. You'd think it couldn't get any worse! I've stayed at other Red Roof Inns because they're pet friendly and they've been fine. This is the dumpiest place I've ever stayed in. The only good thing I can say is the front desk clerk was friendly and helpful. The room was dirty and dilapidated. I stayed because it was just one night and the sheets were clean. The bottom drawer of the dresser was broken. The drawer front was gone and there are nails sticking out where the drawer was attached. The safety lock on the door has been broken off. The veneer on the bathroom door is coming off, so the door can't be closed. Outside there is dog poop everywhere. Nearly impossible to not step in it. I will never stay at this one again. read more

Clap along if you feel like an Inn without a Red Roof. This Inn doesn't have that problem. Little micro rooms in the far south suburbs of Buffalo, right next to the Thruway (at a toll booth exit). Service was fine, the room smelled okay, it was extraordinarily small, but the bed was comfortable and good for what we needed it for. Sleeping. And such. The girl I stayed here with had a great time, but we moved to a different, bigger, better, not-that-much-more-expensive hotel in Amherst after the first 2 nights because, well, we felt a little cramped and it was a little cheap. There were also a couple of problems with the clientele and WiFi, from time to time. But overall we had a great experience and I'd stay here again with no issues if I was with a girl who didn't mind how small it was. Unfortunately I don't know too many girls like that. read more

It's definitely not the worst Red Roof I've stayed in, but the moment I walked into the lobby, it smelled like a dirty bathroom. Fortunately our room was clean, but the area around the hotel itself was sketchy. There were multiple grocery carts thrown into the woods and even under the outdoor stairs. There's no grocery store in the immediate area. There was a lot of trash in the areas we walked our dog to relieve himself. Overall, it's not a terrible place to stop for the night, but I'd make sure you don't leave any valuables in your car and make sure your pets are secure. read more

If you want cheap but don't care about quality, the red roof inn might be your motel. The hotel is poorly managed and badly maintained. Management shoud ensure that guests of the motel are given a clean room. Cleanliness in this motel is surface only. The top of the shower was actually visibly dirty. I was very surprised to find that the washcloth that I picked up had holes in it. It should have been thrown away long ago. Paint was chipped off the wall in the bathroom. It takes very little maintenance to touch something like that up. The red roof inn Hamburg is in my rearview mirror. As I continue down the road I will not look for another red roof inn. read more

Terrible bad customer service the lady at the desk was incredibly rude. We had booked 2 nights and when we entered the room there was blood stain on the bedsheets, the window was barely attached and was able to be pushed and pulled. The doors lock was broken and the bottom of the door damaged. The bathroom had tiles hanging from the ceiling. When we asked to cancel the lady at the desk was very hostile and tried to prevent us from canceling by saying she somehow didn't have the ability to. Do not recommend. Ever. read more

The guy that helped me at the front desk was very pleasant and had no issue with us wanting to change rooms. These rooms are technically pet friendly, but the underside of beds are not blocked off in any kind of way. Pretty average stay there. First room We were given was Room 139. As soon as you walked in right over the bedside it looked like someone blew their brains out by the look of dark colored stains on the wall. It could have been soda. It could have been coffee. But it was a good size stain that went from the side of the bed closest the window all the way to the corner of the wall where the bathroom is. Plus to curtains head multiple blood stains on it and the edge of the lamp. The receptionists was great and got us another Room (room 111) and asked us to give us a call when we got in to make sure rose all right. After entering the Room I didn't know see bloodstains and called her. I could deal with the smell of marijuana throughout the Room and the wrapping of the soap that was left his side of the ice bucket as well. The long dark colored human hairs hour on the bathroom floor again I can tolerate. Finding the stems of marijuana in the Room and not having a TV remote, filthy air conditioner screens and damp towel in the bathroom...this place is a standard one star. read more

(See pictures) Not sure if it was stained or what but either way I don't think they were changed as I found a bunch of blonde hairs in the bed (I have dark brown hair.) There was also a blood stain on bed spread. Light above sink didn't work. Room had horrible musty smell. Wifi barely works. It took me over half an hour to check in with prepaid online reservation because woman at front desk doesn't know what she's doing and was then rude to me. Hotel is right next to highway which is very noisy. Garbage all over the place outside. Never again. Red Roof Plus in Amherst is good but this one is terrible. Beyond unprofessional! This location does not coincide with the values/mission of the organization. Upon arriving after a long road trip GLORIA did not acknowledge my presence as I walked in. When I spoke to her as the first member of our group (8) she said "oh I cancelled your reservation even if you called saying you're late-- I can't wait around all night". Upon asking if there were rooms available to stay the evening under a new reservation she didn't answer, I moved to the other end of the counter closer to her hoping she just didn't hear me. I said "ms Gloria are there any new rooms available" she did not look up from the computer, did not answer me, I asked once more and she then smirked and mumbled to herself. She was inhospitable, racist, and unprofessional. I did not want to force the whole group to pay more at another location but I will be leaving my group and staying at the hotel across the street after the first night-- this place does not deserve the business of those who want to be treated with respect and common courtesy As for the room, tidy (how clean is debatable), mini fridge and microwave is a nice bonus.Rest of staff you encounter outside the room seemingly nice; check out with Cor/Cory was nothing like check in, but impression was made. read more

This was a fairly good room for the price. Staff I interacted with were helpful and pleasant. Room was clean, though maybe a little worn in places. Doesn't have a lot of extra frills; no coffee maker, no fridge, no microwave, but they did have "Superior King" rooms with those things. I had no issues with the wifi, but I was in room 102, which is close to the office. The only complaints I had were that the shower didn't spray well. I don't think the pressure was low, it seemed more like the holes on the shower head were too large so the water just kind of fell out of the shower head. I would suggest avoiding rooms on the 100 side of the building. Highway runs right past these rooms. I'm not normally bothered by outside noise, but it was a bit much even for me. The only other thing which is a bother these days is that there was no outlet near the bed. Overall I had a pleasant experience and would stay here again. read more

The main thing Red Roof has going for it is their free-pet policy. Everything else is kind of secondary. That being said the front desk staff was very professional, it's a good location, the room was clean. Only deducting a star because during my stay there was some overnight snow and at 6am no one had salted or cleared the stairs & taking the dog out for his morning necessaries was a little treacherous. read more

Although I live about a half hour away, I booked a room to be close to a pig roast party of a good friend. A college buddy of mine also booked a room. My room was overpriced at $139. I had to sign a smoke-free pledge upon signing in. The room? It reeked of smoke. The portion of the safety lock on the door jamb was missing, along with a large piece of the jamb, indicating that somebody had actually broke the door down at some point. The bedding looked uneven as if someone had just laid on them. The pillows were on top of the cover. My friend's room was basically the same. We ended up not staying there due to the conditions and drove home the half hour. My girlfriend sacrificed having as much fun as she could have to become a DD. Worst hotel I've seen in a long time. The room was filthy including a used condom stuck to the wall. I checked in with the intention of staying four months or maybe longer while working nearby. I've stayed in hundreds of hotels and motels from coast to coast, so I know how the hospitality business should be conducted. The room itself wasn't bad. The TV selection of channels was limited and no CBS affiliate. My two biggest complaints are the attitude of the employees and the outdated card activated door locks. The key is a card with a magnetic strip. The problem is the card reader on my door wasn't working correctly. Every time I tried to enter my room I had to fart around with the card five or six tries. Those readers work better indoors, but outside they get dust, road grit, pollen and oxidation on the reader head. They need to be kept clean or better yet, replaced with up to date technology. When I went to the front desk with key issues the fat girl behind the counter was snippy and talked to me like it was all my fault. The maintenance guy came off like I was annoying him. Another big drawback to the motel is the size of the parking lot...it's too small. If you drive a small to midsize car, you may be ok, but a full size vehicle is too much. And nearly every night someone parks a big truck or bus parallel to the curb, blocking people in their spaces, as there's not enough room to back out. I paid for 7 days, but moved out after 6 and went to a better motel, where I'm saving money and the door works fine. I would have paid about $6000 but now a competitor is benefiting from their lack of care. read more
