The morning breakfast was surprisingly good as well (served until 10). Tasty sausage and waffle machine options, as well as biscuits and gravy and the basic continental breakfast options. The indoor pool looked inviting and we appreciated the free and ample parking. Another nice touch was the drinking fountain with the filtered water bottle fill up. The price was great for the location and what was included. We appreciated that our family of five could get one room that fit all of us. The bad: my kiddos wanted me to add the empty "free check-in desk cookie container" here. More pressing/vital issues than the cookies-The inside needed some help with humidity, as the smell was immediately extremely musty and air felt damp. In the room, all of the sheets and towels felt moist to the touch. Our room needed many items replaced, including a beat up lamp shade with stains and dents galore, a remote that didn't allow down button to work, and TV near couch not working at all. Most importantly (and unfortunate), the pullout couch was completely broken. My husband and son couldn't figure out why it wouldn't unfold until we saw that the entire bottom leg was broken off and the frame held together by a phone cord of some kind. We had to put the stained and torn mattress on the floor for our son to sleep on. There was also no bedding for the pullout in our room and we had to go down and get it, which isn't ideal after a long day out and about. If we hadn't already unpacked and had our younger children asleep in the other room, we would have requested a new room.

Sink and toilet were clean and worked good. Didn't use the shower so can't comment on that. TVs seem old but didn't watch tv so didn't care. The pool was extremely loud and overcrowded. Sign said no more than 15 in the pool and there was at least 25 people in there. No chairs to sit in except maybe 6 and they were all being monopolized by the same loud people our entire stay. Water was freezing. The breakfast was just so so compared to other hotels I've stayed at. All , and I mean all the tables were dirty. Some woman was taking all the sausages and tried to justify to me why she was doing so. Went to eat biscuits and gravy and the biscuit was like a hockey puck. Creepy weird tweaking and twitching guy by elevator didn't feel safe going on there alone with my teen daughter. Also some guys kept lingering in the hall by our room. Doesn't seem safe for women traveling alone. Didn't see any bedbugs or ants or anything kind of bugs so not sure why other people said they did. There are no gas stations or restaurants nearby but if you drive 15 minutes away you can find some. I guess there is a restaurant in the Marriott but didn't try it. Overall the room and front desk staff were great but the pool needs to be monitored, breakfast needs to be a little better and a little cleaner. Also making sure random dudes aren't lingering all over the floors might be a good idea also.

Even though our checkout time had passed and another guest had requested the whirlpool room we were in, she rearranged things and moved us to another room for the next two days so my wife could rest comfortably. He walked to his door and got in the truck still yelling at the customer. Telling him "how am I supposed to know your standing outside for the shuttle. I don't know your name." I said "we signed up last night" the other customer said something about signing up and his reply was "I don't have to take you." (I have this on video) so now no one is saying a word because we need to get to the airport. We get there and I ask him for his name he stared at me. I ask again and his reply was "shuttle driver". This man should not have a job! I have never come across a person so mean to customers! NEVER AGAIN! Wish I could give 0 stars!

Not only were they fine with letting us do cakes as centerpieces, Cheryl had the amazing idea for us to assign table captains to cut their table's cake. We loved this idea and turned it into a fun little ice breaker game for the guests to find out who would be the table captain. I especially appreciate that there was always someone to help answer my questions in a timely manner. I live out-of-town which made the emails and phone calls extra important to me. Cheryl always took extensive notes and she never missed a single detail! Whenever we met her in person, she never rushed us and was completely attentive as we tried decorating ideas and got just as excited about them as me. You can tell that Cheryl absolutely loves her job! She treated my wedding as if it was her own daughter's wedding. Cheryl and her staff did an amazing job at setting up all the cake stands, candles, photos, slide show, time capsule, rented pub tables, and simply added touches that made everything come together beautifully. I used to get stuck decorating for all of my friends' weddings and I found it amazing that i didn't have to do a thing to decorate at Nathanael Greene. They took care of everything! If you are looking for a reception venue close to down town Cincinnati, or several of the West Side churches, Nathanael Greene is a no-brainer! Its only about three minutes from the Holiday Inn, plus they have free parking. Nathanael Greene is on beautiful, private property, which made the back patio perfect for our cocktail hour. Do people actually watch tv in hotels? The beds are extremely comfortable and there are plenty of cozy pillows. For the shower there is hot water quickly. No need to let it run for a while waiting for the hot water. Body wash, shampoo and conditioner are all provided. We actually forgot our toothpaste and they gave us toothbrushes and paste. Breakfast in the morning is from 7-10 am. It consists of scrambled eggs, sausage, toast, bag, blueberry muffins, you can make your own waffles. Assorted cereals and coffee. I would definitely be staying here again.
