Groovy little hotel! I'm certain these hotels in Daytona and Ormond are geared towards folks going to the track. This was my reason, at least. For Welcome to Rockville! So the hotel was great, in my opinion. Staff was great at check-in and the room was nice and tidy. It's also next to McDonalds and a gas station. Good especially if you have kids that only eat nuggets! Oh! And Cracker Barrel is next door, too. Which is always good. It's not more than 7 miles to the racetrack and right off of I-95 so it was easy to get out and get to the track. Definitely helped heading back after a long day. Breakfast was typical but not bad. I'm used to staying at the Hilton brands for work and these smaller ones have why you need...and it's included. So not much room to complain. If I had a gripe, a trendy barn door that doubles as the closet door and bathroom door. Doesn't, ahem, reduce sound when in the bathroom. read more

My recent stay at the Hampton Inn Daytona/Ormond Beach at 155 Interchange Boulevard, Ormond Beach, Florida, 32174, was very poor. As a loyal Hilton Honors member, I frequently utilize the contactless check-in and digital key features designed to enhance guest convenience and streamline the arrival process. My experience at this particular location, however, starkly contradicted these anticipated benefits and fell significantly short of the high standards I associate with the Hilton brand. Upon booking my reservation, I was pleased to receive an email confirming my digital key availability and the option for a contactless arrival. This assurance, however, proved to be entirely misleading. When I arrived at the hotel, I found that my digital key was not activated in the Hilton app. My expectation of a seamless entry was immediately dashed when I was informed at the front desk that I was required to physically complete the check-in process, including presenting identification and filling out paperwork, before my digital key would be enabled. This completely undermined the very purpose of the Hilton Honors contactless program, causing considerable inconvenience and frustration. My attempt to clarify this discrepancy with the front desk agent, Brittany, regrettably escalated into a deeply unpleasant encounter. Despite my explanation and offer to demonstrate my active digital key option within the app, Brittany became immediately dismissive and hostile. She refused to acknowledge my concerns, instead accusing me of being "belligerent" while claiming she was trying to help. Shockingly, she then attempted to cancel my pre-paid reservation, an action that was fortunately unsuccessful due to the advance payment. Such professional misconduct is unacceptable and completely undermines any sense of customer service. Following this disheartening interaction, I requested to speak with a manager Jomarie Villanueva Perez a request that was denied. I subsequently reached out to the manager via email, detailing the issues I had encountered. The manager's response was not only unhelpful but also misrepresented the facts of the situation, offering an empty apology defending the employees actions. No compensation, or resolution for the extremely rude and hostile treatment I received from their employee. Beyond the severe service failures, the overall condition of the hotel was also disheartening. The property appears to be noticeably rundown, and I was particularly dismayed by a pervasive dog odor within the room. The hotel has a pet-friendly policy, which allows dogs for a nominal fee, the lack of proper cleaning and maintenance created an uncomfortable environment. Furthermore, the persistent barking of dogs was audible from neighboring rooms, particularly during quieter hours, further detracting from a peaceful stay. In light of these numerous and significant issues - ranging from the failure to honor core Hilton Honors benefits to egregious customer service and substandard hotel conditions - I feel compelled to advise other travelers to avoid the Hampton Inn Daytona/Ormond Beach. This experience was deeply disappointing and has unfortunately tarnished my perception of what I expect from a Hilton property. read more

We just returned home from a 6 day stay at this Hampton and I have to say it was a great experience! Everything was so clean and kept up the hotel staff was super friendly and helpful. You just don't find hotels with this level or care and concern for their guests anymore! Ms Danielle at the front desk was always so cheerful and welcoming (hard worker she was always busy doing something) We really appreciate the staff from the front desk, breakfast area and housekeeping for the superb experience! This hotel was convenient as it was near I-95 and not far from the outlet mall. The room itself was fine, clean, and comfortable -- a large king size bed; most amenities including a flat screen TV and mini fridge-- but no microwave. I really disliked the one large sliding door that covered the small closet and then slid over to become the bathroom door. It totally covered neither area effectively and thus did not afford any real privacy for the bathroom. Check in was amenable and easy -- once there was someone at the lobby desk. And check out was as painless. The major disappointment was the included breakfast. It was a bit skimpy. The scrambled eggs were barely okay and not hot (luckily there was a microwave to that then); the sausage pattys were inedible. The sausage gravy thin and runny. Several pieces of the raisin bread were stale/hard on the edges so I tossed them. They were out of orange juice. And one of the two remaining choices was a kiwi strawberry "enhanced water". Wtf? No. This should NOT be a "juice" option. Ignoring the breakfast issues, it would be a convenient and relatively inexpensive property to stay at while traveling along the I-95 corridor... read more

It's dirty! I walked into the bathroom and a dirty washcloth was still hanging over the shower head. The floors in the bathroom are not clean at all. Can still see pee drops around the toilet. Just spent two days here. The service was awful and the night clerk was a complete jerk. The rooms are decent, the beds comfortable but the rooms need a deep cleaning, as I entered the room the first thing I noticed were several fingerprints on the glass looking out on the pool. Then you get to the bathroom. I'll let the photos speak for themselves. The breakfast was good an the lady working it was very very sweet. Thus why the two stars instead of one. If you want to be treated like a poor, less than person, than stay here. First entering the room they have a chair that's ripped to shreds and a broken bathroom door. Next try to take a shower with no water pressure at all. Let's get to breakfast where the staff will stand over and pretend to clean and then instruct you where to throw out your garbage. Yes that happened to me and I wasn't even done getting my food. After a long night tonight at a concert I stopped by the front desk close to midnight and asked for some towels so I can at least have a clean towel after I shower with no water pressure. I was told to go upstairs and get my dirty towels to trade and that would be the only way to get new towels. I never heard of this EVER at any hotel I ever stayed at. The staff is very snarky and rude. They literally gave no answers to questions posed to them. There are no benefits to staying at this hotel even with Hilton Honors Diamond status. Worthless when you drive up to hotel on the outside it looks new but on the inside it is not at all new. The rooms, beds, walls and much of the rest of the hotel gives a very old vibe. The towels and sheets all seemed dirty. So unless you absolutely have to stay here drive a tiny bit further and there's bound to be better not far down the road. Terrible place! read more

BEWARE: Looks can be deceiving. We stayed 3 nights here this month and my mom and I both broke out all over, we believe it was BED BUGS but now my mom thinks it was FLEAS because she is still getting bit as of right now! See pics attached. Also we found a bone in the room and dog treats in the chair and under the bed. I know they allow pets but Gretchen said she cleaned the room per the note she left us but Gretchen was not thorough enough. The room looked super clean I can't believe this still happened to us. We called corporate and they said they would get back to us yesterday and they never did. I would NEVER STAY here ever again. Update: They emailed us back they never called us back and said there were no bed bugs in the room so it was fleas. They did not address the flea part or ask to compensate us for at-least some of the money we spent. They NEVER asked for pictures either! The WORST thing about a PET ROOM is that you don't know if the pet that stayed in it had fleas or not and the pet that stayed in the room before we did, did have fleas because those fleas bit us up! Never again. Don't stay in hotels that allow pets. Pros: Hotel staff was never rude or mean. The workout room is great, pool area is nice. But like any of this matters at this point? We had to wash all of our clothes and spend all this money on these products for this. Completely ridiculous! We travel to the beach a lot and have stayed in COMFORT INN's, QUALITY INN's and even one time a MOTEL 6 and NEVER got bed bugs or Fleas. Very disappointed with Hilton all together. My daughter had a softball tournament in Ormond Beach. We booked a room here. Unfortunately around 11:00am the day of check in the tournament was canceled due to bad weather. We called and canceled and everything was good except we didn't get a confirmation number. We called back 3 times when finally the last time a different lady answered and said the room is canceled but you won't get a confirmation until the room is paid and the other girl we talked to 3 times was new and didn't know what she was doing when she said we were good and wouldn't be charged. Because we missed the 24hr advance we were forced to pay $140 for a room we didn't stay in. I understand the policy but these were special circumstances I feel they could've cut us a break but refused to. So we will no longer be staying at any Hilton hotel. read more

Stayed here tonight on business. My room was on the first floor was very clean new and upgraded. I had a great experience at the check-in in the hotel seem to be overall very nice. I went down to get some tea for the evening. The hot water was cold the desk manager went back and got me fresh hot water in a cup and told me that he was going to replace the water right away. Very accommodating. If you are coming through this area or coming to the beach. I would recommend staying here for the price. The staff seems nice and accommodations are more than fair. read more

This place sucks. Tub has rust in it, surfaces were extremely dirty, and all the front desk people do is sit outside and smoke cigarettes all day long. They neglected to clean the men's lobby bathroom, which had a massive disaster in it, and when we told them about it the front desk guy said "whatever". Needless to say, I would give this place negative stars if I could. I understand that I stayed during truck meet and I understand they must be busy. For me the cost savings of it compared to staying on the beach was around $80. This makes it really a no-brainer. This is a fairly nice hotel however we had a lot of headache at both check in and check out. At check in I was charged again even though I had already paid 95 (using my coupon code given by my travel company) through a booking company hours before. The second charge was for 124 dollars. The manager at first had a little attitude then I called the booking company and she spoke to them to try to help me resolve this. The booking company had charged me, plus their sister booking company had charged me (which was puzzling!) plus the hotel itself had charged me. After many phone calls to the booking company plus to my bank and an hour later it was resolved or so I thought. At checkout I was charged full price again for the room. The manager on duty at first kept saying she couldn't help me I had to call booking company. The problem from the night before had arisen again. After going round and round trying to come up with a solution she said she could only return me partially for the second reservation mistake that was made. After more back and forth she contacted the booking company and said in a couple days it should be reversed. This was a complete headache! The hotel room itself was clean and we had a double queen room. The tv worked fine and the shower pressure. The beds and tv were pretty comfy. Breakfast was underwhelming and had nothing healthy to choose from except yogurt or plain cereal. They had no wheat bread or bagels. When I got there they had no eggs. They had no breakfast sausages or breakfast meats. They had no boiled eggs. Hampton definitely needs to start offering more healthy options for its guests to choose from. I really did overall like my room but their was so much confusion at the front desk that I lost a lot of time that I needed to rest and get back on the road. read more

Would love to say I stayed here! I booked a night through hotels.com and had set up to pay when I checked in. Was going to visit my father who has stage 4 cancer and when I went to check in she said I didn't have a name in system. I tell her that's wrong I have my emails and my confirmation numbers and she proceeds to tell me the manager canceled my stay for other guests to take my room. Saying now they are all booked up! I ask to speak to said manager and low and behold no manager on duty! She said I can wait til the morning! Like oh ok where am I staying now! Needless to say irate doesn't quite show how I am. This is not how you do hotel business. Hampton Inn corporate should totally not operate business in this day and age disregarding sites that book you. read more

Nice hotel, off the beaten path so it's not very busy. It's clean, which is a big plus for me. It's not expensive, either. The pool always looks like it needs cleaning, but so do most pools in Florida. I've stayed here a number of times, & no matter what room I get, the bottom of the bathtub always feels slippery & warped. I wish the chair at the desk in the room was good enough to actually sit in & do some work, but they are too soft & low to work at the desk. I always end up in the armchair, which is not really good for working. The breakfast in the morning is adequate if you are really hungry. I usually stick with yogurt & fruit rather than what tastes like microwaved eggs & cold sausage. Overall not a bad place for single women travelers or families. Fix the bathtub, desk chair issue & breakfast to get 5 stars from me. read more

First off, I'm not sure how old the negative reviews are as far as the cigarettes smell, poor breakfast choices, cleanliness, service? They are wrong. This hotel is great, it's clean, the breakfast was great and you get great choices to suit different dietary needs --and if you still feel some kind of way about their breakfast, there's a Cracker Barrel right behind it where you can walk and have breakfast. No traffic to get there, you can safely walk there. Problem solved. As for the amenities, it was VERY clean, the rooms don't have any odors and during the day housekeepers have two-way radios between them and the front desk. There's a person who cleans the bathrooms and lobby areas as well. So I'm not sure which hotel the naysayers were are but as of now that's not the case. The only problem was the laundry room was out of service, not a dealbreaker. This hotel is worth the short ride from the airport. read more

Not the best Hampton around. 2 night stay, first night $99.00, second night $125.00. I get that it's season and there's a race this weekend, but honor the same price both nights. The rooms were average and housed the worst desk chair of all time, I felt like I was sitting in my parents living room. this Hampton was awful and it's the worse night I ever had in a hotel! The hotel is extremely dated, tub in real bad shape, toilet wobbled, they did not serve breakfast( which is part of the nightly price). Stayed in a comfort inn and they had a hot buffet and had someone serving the eggs and meats! Anyway..lights out at 11 and people next door started acting up..things slamming, laughing, tv blaring and then music, shouting, banging, sounded like things were being thrown. Finally not being able to stand it anymore called desk and it quieted down about 3:30..still banging things! And then the AC was so cold on the foot of the bed my feet were froze so I turn temp up and then was so warm. Got to sleep about 4:30 and up at 7. Went down and told manager I want a refund on the room and explained and she said she would look into it. She said it was a corporate guest in that room(yeah so..is that ok then). When we left I told her I would dispute charge with Visa and she said she would look into it and shortly after I received an email with the charge so I just notified Visa. Customer service is lacking. I was a guest who had already spent the last two night patronizing this property. I was extremely embarrassed and felt harassed. It was disheartening to be locked outside due to a guest stopping by to drop off something I needed for class. The class I actually ended up missing due to the shameful exchange and poor customer service I received at this property. Then to be questioned as if I am a criminal as opposed to a paying customer. Customer service was beyond poor. I questioned if it was because I was black or the employee lacked the skills to do her job effecively. I like the Hilton that represents the honor and dignity I have always received when staying at any Hilton property. Today, was unnecessary and disappointing. Customer service failed to value and listen to the customer. It felt like I was being punished and mocked publicly. This shouldn't be acceptable. Customers, no matter who they are or what discount they may receive, should be treated with exceptional hospitality. After all, I believe in the Hilton that values integrity. My Hilton believes in doing things right all the time. However, my experience today did not meet that expectation. I should have never had to encounter such poor treatment. read more

Made reservations at this hotel for 3 nights and got in late the first night at which time we informed the front desk that we might cancel the third night. She told us to call and let them know if we needed to so we dutifully called down the next day to let them know we were canceling the third night. Long story, they ended up charging us for the third night but what is super un professional was the obnoxious manager Angie, who told us unless someone would admit taking our call so she could deduct the pay from their check we would have to pay! I have stayed at many hotels and NEVER had an experience in which an employee was so completely obnoxious and rude when a mistake is pointed out to them. Fortunately, our credit card company will handle it from here and we will share our story to others. read more

Paula was amazing. She told us about local fishing and was warm and friendly. This is an excellent spot. I stayed for my moms surgery it was close and convenient to Florida medical. The staff was wonderful and friendly. Breakfast was a wonderful surprise western omelets and potatoes. Really nice not usual scrambled eggs. read more

We had more than just our family car we had a uhual & mustang on a car trailer & he let us park it right up front to be safe! It was our LAST resort when coming to town for the Country 500....and we were charged 5 star hotel prices...the room was disgusting, tub was a legal accident waiting to happen and, outside of sleeping in our vehicle, this hotel does NOT equal the price we paid. Hotel was updated- cool graphics and pics everywhere, clean, nice sitting area. If I could give it no stars, I would. We went to this hotel because there was an advertised rate of $124.00/night + tax if you were going to the races. When we asked for this rate, we were told it was for 'members only'. When we contacted Hampton Inn, they told us it was only for a certain block of rooms. It wasn't advertised either way - they can't seem to get their story straight. The regular rate was $269/night + tax. This is a clear bait & switch. Customers beware OVER CHARGED $325.13 for an extra night that I never booked during Daytona Bike Week and an early check out fee of $146.31. Checked in 3/11 but upon checkout I was charged stating my reservation began 3/10 and they would not remove the charge. GM, Mr. Medina never returns calls, or emails. Just states "I will look into this and get back to you" but has failed to ever call once. Early check out fee but was not told at early check out that I would be charged $130.06 plus tax! Convenient location but not honest and upfront, must read small print. 100% satisfaction guaranteed in not a motto they follow. Corporate complaining was unsuccessful also. Needless to say we cancelled our Oct. 2016 Daytona bike week reservations and will stay elsewhere!! Horrible stay. Stayed there with the family over Christmas. Came back to room after spending time with the family. My wife had a watch charger in the room and it was missing. We notified the front desk immediately and she said she would notify a manager, we later found out she didn't tell anyone. After speaking to the assistant manager the next day he said he'd look into it. We had to talk to him several time and he did nothing to help. We couldn't get in contact with the General Manager, and they still haven't spoken to us about the incident. The assistant manager told us not to call the police that he would handle it. After finding out he wasn't doing anything we called the police. He refused to cooperate with the Police Officer. Would let him look at video from the hallway, our room was right by the door with a camera. Then he refused to give the Officer the housekeepers name that cleaned our room. Horrible customer service! Don't stay here ! They will not help if there is any problems! Many other nice location in the area! read more
