Reservations-5-Super easy with AmX Travel Parking-5- large out front lot with ample parking for Diamond Club members Room-5-This was a good room, laid out well a large restroom, ample coat hangers in the closet, and a good sized desk with lots of light. Mattress/pillows-3-I was going to give the bed a 2 but not sure if it's entirely the beds fault or also mine. The mattress doesn't seem as comfortable as the typical Hilton mattress (due to being a Hampton Inn?). Four pillows, all very flat and hard to sleep on, again not sure if it's entirely the pillows fault hence the 3. Elevator speed/availability-n/a- don't use Gym/pool-4- The gym was very spartan, with one of each of the typical cardio machines (but they all work). There is no pulley/pull-up station and the bench could be replaced with an industrial quality bench as it's a little flimsy. There is a good selection of dumbbells from 10-50lb so that's a big plus. I'm didn't use the pools but it looked nice, no hot tub. Restaurant-n/a. Continental (free) breakfast was good and available until 10:00 am. Staff-5- The entire staff was fantastic, super friendly and quick to answer any question. Honorable mention to both Jeremiah (evening front desk) and the day time front desk manager (I'll get his name and add). Both of the guys were great, really upbeat and knowledgeable about the area. Price5-typical Overall-5- despite the pillows/mattress and bench I will definitely stay here again when I am in the area. There is a good deal to eat near by, and two Starbucks within about a mile and a half. Shout out-the Front Desk staff, they were great!! read more

I stay at a lot of Hampton Inns. I checked in for two night stay recently. I was on business at the University of Oregon. I checked in, Sarah at the front desk was amazing: professional and kind. I tried to give them my lifetime Diamond number as it wasn't put in reservation. They had the number. I was upgraded to a suite. I walked into my suite and sure enough as Sarah said a very out of the ordinary goodie bag and a hand written card thanking me for bringing a Diamond for life. Suite was great, bed very comfy. Breakfast was good. The coffee was very hot snd nice as they made new coffee. Sarah was kind enough to print out a multi page document I needed. (This Hampton does not have a business center unfortunately) I wish every stay at Hampton was like this! I appreciate all the staff at Eugene Hampton Inn. Thank you from a business traveler! The beds weren't comfortable at all. Our family stayed here after a wedding and several others mentioned how uncomfortable they were as well. The breakfast isn't that great either. But we stayed in Portland the night before and the breakfast at that hotel was really great with lots of food options, so coming here was a big letdown. Not very happy with my stay here. For a Hilton property, the hotel needs some help. First, as a Hilton member, none of my requests were honored for check-in. I always request a room AWAY from the elevator, as most people are rude and loud in the hallways. I also asked for a high room, for the reason I will address now. The person who had their room above me LITERALLY sounded like they were doing aerobics at 0200 in the morning. If a person wearing bricks for shoes gives you a good idea of what the person above me sounded like...that would be it. Even worse than the last three issues, was the fact that the beds were SO hard that it was nearly impossible to sleep. The beds were clean, the room was tidy, and the bathroom looked clean as well. So, at this point, I'm not sure I would ever recommend this hotel, unless it is the only one you can get a room at. read more

I'm giving this hotel a three star because it does look fancy and it was clean. But when we went inside the room, it smelt strongly of wet dog. I don't know what that was about but this smell wouldn't leave. Traveling to Washington but want a break driving, pull off & head to the Hampton Inn in Eugene, Oregon. Some of the nicest staff working the front desk, willing to answer questions, give suggestions & follow up, doesn't get much better than that when it comes to service. The room was clean, always a must. The beds were comfy & believe me I've slept on some horrible beds thanks to Airb&b, much prefer the beds at the Hampton. And in the morning there's a hot breakfast; get this 2 types of waffles, regular & cinnamon roll flavors, yes you read this correct a cinnamon yummy waffle, which you make & eat piping hot, add a little butter and more please. We stayed here the night of 11/09/24 because we were in town for a Ducks game. I called ahead and was able to secure a noon check in. Thank goodness I did! By the time we got lunch, got to the stadium, bought merchandise, it was 10 min before the national anthem and a 4pm kick off. The room was ready as promised. I got excellent service while checking in, the staff was so friendly. And we got a nice goodie bag of snacks because I have gold status with Hilton. We will definitely stay here again if we need to when coming back for another game. There are also a lot of restaurants and a Fred Meyer nearby. And not that far to order a ride to Autzen Stadium. read more

Pros: Clean Nice staff - manager offered help often Good, simple breakfast Great shower Cons: Slow check-in - computer system issues AND trainee Noisy - sirens all night Noisy - fridge very loud; I unplugged it Noisy - air conditioner cycled on-and-off ever 10 seconds Lumpy pillow I still don't understand why hotels insist on having the fridge under the TV, instead of under the sink outside the bathroom (in a cabinet). Updated.. Great support from the front office Manager Tyler Owen who was very helpful and empathetic about the situation. Tyler credited us a night and points and was understanding in his response. I agree with several of the other reviews that the hotel is very clean and has been recently remodeled. I also agree that the beds are comfortable and can provide a good nights rest except..... Extreme noise from the other guests. Back to the remodel, the floors have very thin carpets have apparently no noise dampening products between the floors. The doors are thin hollow wooden doors with large gaps around the jambs. You literally (yes meant to use that word) can hear every step, every flush, every drawer being closed, and every dropped object. You can and will clearly hear every conversation from the hallways, every screaming child, and regardless if you post the do not disturb signs, you will still hear housekeeping knocking several doors down from you, hear their walkie-talkies, and their conversations. Vacuums and hairdryers sound like they are in your own room and you will hear cars starting in the parking lot. You have to play your own TV very loud to drown out the sound of adjacent room's television. We were unfortunate enough to visit just after the snow storm in the Eugene area and had the Electrical Line men staying above us. We heard every step from their heavy work boots, every drop of tools or what ever they had with them, and every other activity they apparently did.... all at 10:30 pm and 4 am each and EVERY day. We were offered to move us to another room when we complained, but they couldn't accommodate the adjoining rooms we had. The next issue we experienced was the extreme smell of Pot from this 420 friendly place. A guest a few doors down was smoking up quite a storm and it was like they were in our own room. The gaps under and around the door allow the smell to enter your room. I had to roll up a towel and stuff paper around the jamb openings to keep it out. While you may not have the same fellow guests we had, you will have the same thin walls and loose fitting doors providing the same potential issues I mention here. The Evening (not day time) front desk clerks (William Norvell and mainly Andrew Duke) were dismissive of our complaints and actually said they couldn't do anything about the issues (other than moving us from one of our rooms). One actually laughed at the pot smell issue, acknowledging that this is a constant problem with the new laws. The other (Andrew Duke) was condescending, defensive, and arrogant when my wife was trying to explain the first night. Three positives, Linda was extremely helpful in finding adjoining rooms for us and very polite and kind. One of the morning breakfast ladies (Edie I think) was also very friendly, helpful, and kind. I hope I have her name correct. Finally, without Tyler's assistance and follow up, this would be a one star review. Unfortunately, these three positives don't completely offset the negatives. Just based on the noise, I wouldnt stay here again. If you must, then demand a top floor room, at least you wont have a guest above you. read more

We arrived late at around 10 pm with a full load of camping equipment in the back of the truck. The parking lot is well lit with security cameras and security. We felt very safe leaving our things in the truck. We checked into the room which was extremely fresh and clean. The beds were so comfortable. We love how the thermostat was in one central location. The water pressure is strong and invigorating. The person behind the desk greeted us with water bottles. The next morning breakfast was very very good. Hot and attended very well. We were given a to go snack bag. They truly have thought of everything. Highly recommend!!! read more

Basic motel. Room is clean with a microwave, free wifi and fridge. The place is a little dated, but the staff here is super friendly and helpful. I arrived dead tired after an rainy, dangerous and endless drive from Florence, OR. When I asked about a restaurant open in this sleep town at 9PM, the front desk guy offered me delivery menus and called the restaurant to see what time they stop delivering. I am a little freaked out with all the signs about car break-ins. Place seems quiet enough. Woke up this morning to a weird smell. The view from my room is a composting field the bigger than a football field!!! It was raining so hard last night and was so late I did not notice the smell (that much). I am giving this place a two star rating since my room was clean (one star) and the staff was great (one star). There was also a note in the room from the hotel manager offering a free $5.00 Starbucks card if you write a positive review for them on Trip Advisor!!!! So I'd be wary of any reviews on trip advisor. BTW.. my room was $139/per night.... this is waaaay overpriced for the location and dated furnishings. read more

Recommend only if you're a dog person. Employees were great, room was great, breakfast was great and location fit our program. My only problem is with Hilton's new policy.....all hotels are going 'pet friendly'. What does that mean? Pets will now be allowed in ALL rooms. I had a lab for 13 years....it never did come into the house. Growing up and still today my daughter is allergic to pet hair. Location is the only good thing about this hotel. For the price it is a disappointment of a hotel. No one to help with bags at check in or check out, we were directed to just grab a cart and do it ourselves. Stayed on a non smoking floor that reaked of cigarette smoke, my clothes even smelled when I got home. When I complained at check out they did give me a discount for 1 night but said oh it still smells, so they were aware and did nothing about it. Housekeeping had to be requested and wasn't done because we didn't ask however no one told us we had to ask. When we were heading to the Ducks game I asked if a Can could be called for us and was rudely told I could get a Uber on my own if needed. I don't mind paying a premium price for a premium hotel but this place at $375 a night what a joke! I'm a Hilton Honors member which they didn't acknowledge or thank me for (which usually they always do) I will never stay here again when visiting Eugene. Another stop on this weeks business travels! Hampton's are always a safe bet and this one in Eugene served to fit the trend. I'm only knocking off one star on this because they are undergoing an exterior remodel since the interior is complete and the parking lot is a MESS! That being said the staff was so courteous and friendly when I arrived. The room looks newly refurbished and it was very comfortable. Breakfast was standard Hampton fare and that's not a bad thing. I've only had 1 or 2 bad breakfasts at Hamptons out of maybe 30 properties I've stayed at. Keep it up and I can't wait to see the exterior when it's finished! read more

We found the Hampton Inn in Eugene to be clean, nicely updated, and staffed with very friendly folks. The beds were comfy and the rooms were plenty big enough for a family of four. The daily complementary breakfast is outstanding and they even had bacon one day. Bacon, my friends, BACON! Warm beverages and water are available all day as are apples, bananas, oranges, and cookies. The kids took full advantage of the small indoor swimming pool and found it to be delightful and nicely heated. We only wish there had been a hot tub. Rooms at the back of the property are quieter and have a pretty view of the bike path. Rooms at the front of the property are slightly louder because they face a busy street and a moderately industrial area. The Hampton Inn was a great home-base for our explorations of Eugene though if you are traveling without a car, it may be a bit of a challenge to get around. I would highly recommend this property to anyone visiting Eugene. read more

Guys, this is just a Hampton Inn, one of the lowest tiers of the Hilton family. It's not the nicest way to go. There are reasons, I guess, that another YELPer says they are not busy and there are break ins. But the worst is, they impose a TWO WEEK CANCELLATION POLICY, WITH PENALTY! I travel for work and typically stay at Hilton properties and most of the time I stay at Hampton Inns. I usually find a clean hotel that is centrally located for my appointments. Hampton Inn, Eugene delivered on both of these and was also very quiet which is a plus. One important factor in my choosing hotels is the gym onsite. This property's gym is very small. One treadmill, one elliptical, and one stationary bike. It also had a dumbbell rack with dumbbells up to 50lbs. That's great but they had no bench to really utilize the weights with any real purpose. The reason they had no bench is that they simply don't have enough space for it. If you look at my picture, the area with the dumbbells is literally 2.5 steps wide. I used the exercise ball pictured as a bench. Even if you were creative you still don't have enough space to use the weights properly to begin with. I also used the elliptical which functioned well. They need a better gym to keep up with other properties bearing their name. The staff was pleasant with one exception. After a morning workout I went down late to grab some breakfast. I grabbed a plate and then stood behind an employee who proceeded to take the last of the scrambled eggs. Breakfast closed shortly after and no more eggs were made. That's poor form. I also had to iron a white dress shirt and there was so much dust on the ironing board that it got my shirt very dirty. Hopefully this property upgrades their gym and more to keep up with the competition. read more

I would not reccomend staying here. The property itself was OK, but it was quite a ways away from both the downtown business district and the UO campus. Also, the property behind the hotel sells barkdust, which left a terrible smell that had permeated the property. I had tried staying here because the downtown hilton property was kind of aging and expensive, so I thought I'd give this a try. But, as far as Hilton properties go, I'd stick with the downtown Hilton over this. read more

This is nicer than the Boutique Hotels in SF at $500/night for. It seems previous yelps were from old owners, remodeled and new staff now. Excellent quality sheets and towels. Coffee and tea 24/hours (which I appreciated arriving late in a storm). Everything in the rooms is updated and modern. Heater works great, carpets are new and most importantly everything is super clean. No chemical smells. The breakfast spread was so good, they had a lot of little extra special touches. Fresh Berries, chocolate chips for waffles, vanilla creamer for my coffee. After a stressful air B and B which costs about the same I am happy to be here and I am going to stay another night and will be returning and recommending to others. My go to when I travel is something within the Hilton family of offerings. This happens to fit that bill as well as being one of the closest hotels you can get to the Airport in Eugene. Trust me that was a huge reason for making this booking.....having to be up at 4:00 am to catch a flight is never in my top things to do so proximity and those extra few minutes of sleep are a huge plus. This hotel fit the purpose of what I was after, close to the airport. Outside of that it isn't the best I have experienced with Hilton/Hampton. Their location is on an extremely busy street that doesn't offer much in the way of dining or shopping. There is a lot of construction in the area and it just isn't the best location. The staff was friendly and helpful, but they hadn't processed any of the paperwork that my company had forwarded so that the room would be prepaid. So I had to pay and then work that out when I got back to the office. As long as I didn't have any extremely early am flight I would probably opt for a different location the next time I'm in town. read more

This particular location in Eugene, OR was not bad, but not the best either. The hotel ambiance was way better than a motel, but don't expect a fancy hotel either. For one thing, the location was not very convenient to Downtown Eugene, the University of Oregon, and other highlighted destinations in the city, which were about 20-30 minutes away. Closer to the hotel, there were mainly fast food eateries and chain family restaurants that were not very enticing. The area seemed far off from the better part of town, too. Customer service was friendly and accommodating. I was able to check-in early, I was able to get forks and spoons for take-out meals from the front desk, and the front desk staff always said hello when I passed by. My mom and I stayed at this place for a few nights while we were visiting relatives in Eugene. The room was nice and the people were friendly, but the best part was the free breakfast each morning. In the lobby in the morning, they have a buffet breakfast with belgian waffles, juices, pastries, cereal, eggs, and bacon or sausage. All of the food is really good and the lobby has a really nice atmosphere with tables, couches, tv, and computers. And throughout the day, they have cookies and lemonade to help yourself to. I thought it was a bit pricey considering the location wasn't a resort town or anything. Just make sure you book with the Hampton Inn directly instead of using one of those 3rd party travel websites. We made the mistake of booking 2 rooms through aaa.com. The day before the trip, my grandma couldn't make the trip anymore and we had to cancel one of the rooms. aaa.com had an absolute no cancellation policy with 100% forfeiture penalty for the entire three nights. Even though it was aaa.com's fault and not the Hampton Inn's fault, the people at the Hampton Inn have worked with us to come up with a solution. I learned my lesson to beware of those third party travel websites - they may offer a good deal, but can have some really harsh policies. It's better to book with the Hampton Inn directly and see if they will match the lower price. I would definitely stay here again. read more

Be cautious. I found a used hypodermic needle in my room (stayed over 2 weeks ago) and still have not received anything for compensation. I'm disgusted with the customer service of this location as they were rude when I asked for compensation, and Hilton Customer Service wasn't much help either. Essentially they left it in the hands of the manager of this location to do anything. The manager responded and said she was sending me a company for a night (at a hotel I won't come back to), and distill haven't gotten anything.
