Fitness center. Multi purpose machine but no free wieghts
Art R.

Decent place and well priced. Convenient to gas stations and a handful of chain restaurants as well as a pharmacy. Also close to the highway. Rooms are definitely on the smaller side even compared to other HIs but, otherwise, no problems. Room and lobby/breakfast area were clean. Usual HI free breakfast which is good for the Little Dudes. Amenities are just ok. Wifi is free and worked smoothly during my stay (no Netflix skips or pauses). Pool is outdoors so closed for a good portion of the year. Fitness center has 1/2 dozen mid-level cardio machines some of which need repair (I let management know today). Wish they had a standard set of dumbbells. They do jave a multi-exercise pulley styled machine but it's not the easiest to use. Fairly friendly staff.

Never cleaned the room and made us go to the front desk for towels. The mattress is stained and the sheets did not look clean.

I stay here every year for The Women's conference and enjoy the hospitality given to us. Great continental breakfast too.

I'm so excited about this hotel. I don't know where to start!…read moreOnce I opened the door to my room I smelled disinfectant. I believe the countertops are marble. The bathroom sink is at least 5 to 6 inches deep, and the bathroom mirror's border is illuminated. There are updated bathtub fixtures. What tops all of this is I can walk on the floor and NOT FEEL grime! The flat screen offers Google TV functionality, allowing you to search via Google or access Netflix, YouTube, and Sling TV with your credentials. The mattress isn't as comfortable, and the towels aren't as soft as other Red Roof Inns. The lake provides a pleasant scene where a family of ducks can be seen wandering freely. Within walking distance, you'll find 3 restaurants: Top O' the River Catfish & Seafood, Pruett's BBQ & Catfish (closed Sundays), and Zaxby's. Plus, 2 gas stations are just a minute away. Most of you who read my reviews know that I am a serious road warrior. I am in and out of hotels…read morepretty often. In fact, the Marriott brand is one of my preferred brands (I'm Gold in their loyalty program). I've stayed her a few times now, and that should tell you a lot. The front desk staff is friendly and the hotel rooms are clean. If you've stayed at a Fairfield Inn before, you know the drill. They have a free breakfast, which consists of eggs, some kind of protein (usually sausage or bacon), biscuits, cereal, make your own waffles, some fruits, coffee and juices. The hotel rooms are pretty good sized. I usually stay in a room with a king sized bed, and it is plenty big enough for a couple of people to stretch out and relax. The rooms are well insulated from noise outside, but not in between rooms. I can frequently hear people talking and making noise in the other rooms. Although, if it's too much, the front desk staff is happy to get them to shut up for you. Definitely a place I enjoy staying on my trips to Gadsden... it's clean and comfortable. I'll certainly stay there again!

The hotel was very accommodating with comfortable beds. The room came with a small microwave, refrigerator and a coffee maker. The breakfast buffet was served from 6:30 - 10:00 am. There was quite a variety of foods- scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, bagels, muffins, biscuits, waffle makers with batter to make your own to name a few.
