We stayed for 5 nights end of March into April 2025 and had a very good experience especially because of the evening desk clerk John and daytime one Ian. Initially entering our room the first night found the carpeting had not been vacuumed but John quickly responded to correct and initiated bonus points to our membership. The next morning Ian was able to help us extend our stay-even though they were booked-by contacting a future guest who changed their room preference. Hampton inn hotel.. is very disturbing the people there smell like weed and molly .. i have 7 kids to take care off and i can NOT be having them around that one out of my 7 kids has a disorder so please handle this NOW. Sheets were dirty, bed was uncomfortably super soft, but the folks working here were super nice. And they allow dogs, so I got to see some super cute dogs! I was disappointed in the cleanliness or lack there of. My wife complained about the situation and was told they would issue a refund but we were never refunded. Oh also, the drapes were broken which was just weird, and this our window was never fully covered. This was a decent place to stay at though, save for the dirty sheets and broken drapes. I'm surprised at Hampton. I've usually had impeccable stays at this chain. read more

1 star for each of the below will get a hotel 5 stars: -a clean hotel - star -a good bed - star -good customer service - star -good amenities - no star -a good breakfast - 0.44 star -The gym is severely wanting; other than dumbbells, there is no weight equipment here. my friend is in the marriott across the street and even though they don't have a gym, they have a setup with the gym next door to allow their guests to attend for free - that's great! -the breakfast is meh. they had bacon one morning AND YOU COULD SEE THROUGH THE SLICES (THAT'S HOW THIN THEY WERE!)! Why would you do that Hampton? Otherwise, it's the standard eggs, oatmeal, sausage sometimes (sausage is good) etc. I have had better breakfasts for the equivalent hotel class. read more

My family and I stayed here for a quick overnight. We found the hotel to be very clean and I was very happy to see that they have washed duvet covers on the comforters. It is so gross to think that you are using unwashed bedding from the last guest. They immediately scored high right away with me. The pool was very nice, so was the hot tub. The fitness room was small but ample. Hotel staff were very friendly and the hotel was kid friendly (i.e. breakfast was good variety, staff friendly to the little ones, and cookies and coffee available in the lobby all day). The hotel even offers some complimentary items that are often forgotten. We forgot our toothpaste so that was nice to see we didn't need to make a trip out just for toothpaste. Prior to my arrival, I contacted the hotel since I knew I would be checking in pretty late. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It actually made me look forward to my check-in. Once I arrived at the hotel around 2 am, the clerk was very friendly and upbeat. It did not take more than five minutes to get checked in. I've got to say that the room was very nice and super clean. They even left a post it note on each headboard. I had never stayed at a Hampton Inn so this is a great first impression. read more

Outstanding customer service. This hotel is conveniently located near grocery stores, restaurants and a strip mall. The rooms are comfortable and clean with free wifi. They have a nice gym, free breakfast and a pool. Most importantly they have outstanding customer service. I misplaced my chargers and thought they were stolen so I contacted the manager Robert who was very courteous and went out of his way to make us new keys, electronically read the lock and check security cameras. When I apologized after finding them he was very gracious. We will stay here again in a heartbeat. read more

This last stay at the Hampton Inn Clay was just OK. The breakfast buffet was terrible. The Orange Juice was all watered down, the oatmeal seemed more like a oat broth with more liquid than thick nice oats, the ham and egg scramble was too salty, to the point that I had to throw about half of it....because this was so bad....I decided to grab a Breakfast to to Bag.....I thought that would be safe...but the apple in the bag was over ripe and it smelled.... I don't know what's wrong with this hotel, but it is going downhill. I might have to start looking for alternate lodging options..... read more

It's has a pool and spa but the rooms are dated. The TV in our room is so small and very far away from the bed. We couldn't read the channel guide. Also when we came into the room it smelled really bad, The tv was on, and out desk phone was not working. Our room had a fridge and a microwave which was nice but not a one night stay. If you're relocating to the Liverpool/clay area and are shopping homes or apartments, it's a good and cheap option. Staff was very friendly and helpful but it definitely needs updating! Conveniently located in a shopping center near an Aldi's, Target, Wegmans, and a bunch of restaurants if that is something you need to be near. read more

This is one of my favorite hotels when visiting the Syracuse area. The things I liked about this hotel are: 1) Large clean rooms and bathrooms. There are no odd smells in the rooms or the hallways. Good water pressure in the bathroom. 2) Mini fridge (to store the food I get from the nearby supermarkets) 3) Microwave in each room 4) Reliable Wifi (no dropped connections) 5) Snacks (cookies, chips) outside of breakfast hours 6) Weekly BBQ during the evenings 7) Breakfast bag in the morning (contains at least a granola bar, bottle of water, and a fruit) 8) Clean bedding and good mattresses 9) Good AC that isn't too loud 10) Solid walls for soundproofing 11) Easy parking 12) Close proximity to many stores, restaurants, supermarkets, and malls. This area of Route 31 seems to be developed for big box stores and supporting restaurants. Many are within walking distance with an Outback Steakhouse and Barnes & Noble across the parking lot. 13) Good breakfast read more

Arrived at 2am and the clerk was wide awake, alert and friendly, I had some super annoying and unnecessary questions and he answered all of them without a sweat on his brow. Paid $129 per night and stayed for two nights - the bed sheets weren't freshely pressed, the pillows smelled like fatty sweat, the carpet smelled like body odor and looked like it has not been shampooed for a long time, the bathroom floor was sticky. The staff at this hotel are the best I have ever seen. They are helpful and genuinely kind. Personal touches like thank you notes and Resturant suggestions. I actually asked what Hamtonality was. While the staff was answering my question she noticed my company name and realized my clipboard was in lost and found. Nice, caring! They have a fireplace, nice workout room and close to THE mall. I loved this hotel. Ive been kind of turned off hotels recently but impressed with the cleanliness of this one. This hotel is very clean. The staff is really nice and willing to help. The beds are very comfortable. I love the fact that they wash the duvets and sheets. Location is extremely convenient. I can't complain about anything and I'm picky. This is a good value hotel for the money. Breakfast has a lot of options from a waffle maker to omelets. Yes the food is not like going to quality restaurant, but it's what you'd expect from a hampton. The pool was decent size going from 3ft to 5ft so it's really good for kids. In fact when I stayed there in February the pool had kids in it from 8AM to 9PM. The exercise room had extra options besides the usual treadmill and bike. It also had dumbbells that went up to 50lbs and medicine balls. The room itself also had more options than I would expect with a microwave and mini fridge. The beds were average. We got queen bed, but it seemed smaller than a queen, but it fit 2 adults just fine. The pillows were hard to get comfortable with so you should bring your own if you can. All in all I'd say it's a great hotel for the price. The only downside I could see is if you don't care for kids in your hotel you probably should look elsewhere. But for families it's a great option. read more

Best hotel in the area by far! I have stayed here many times and keep coming back. Visit my Wife's family up in Oswego and always stay here! Our most recent trip over Memorial Day Weekend we decided to try a hotel in Oswego and it was terrible. We called the Hampton Inn at 9:30pm and luckily they had 1 room available. Needless to say we chose it and started the 30+ minute drive to Clay, NY. The rooms are always clean and the furniture is in great condition. The entire hotel looks immaculate. You can tell the employees take pride in where they work. Every staff member we met including a maid, front desk attendant, and manager were very polite and professional. I always know that I can go here and have a great room at a great price and will never be disappointed! read more

Great place to stay! Excellent value. Hot breakfast was outstanding. Staff went out of their way to please you. Rooms are clean, extremely comfortable. Pool is heated, jacuzzi is perfect after a long day. We highly recommend this location. The staff even provided hot cider on a recent visit when it was cold outside....plus they have cookies every afternoon. We've stayed here a number of times and have never been disappointed. Yes, there are other places nearby, but you can't beat this Hampton Inn. It's no wonder this location has been voted #1 in the state! read more
