Stayed here 2 weeks ago and I very much enjoyed the stay. Came here with my kids 7 and 9yrs and stayed for 2 nights. Lots of parking. The receptionist was nice and smiled. Our room was good size for 2 queen beds. No noise whatsoever coming from neighboring rooms, hallway or the street. I slept really well. The cleaning lady was very helpful and friendly offered us extra towels. Love that they use neutrogena products! They have a very good continental breakfast one of the best I've seen. They are on top of replenishing the foods before they run out. Not too many tables but it never really got full while I was there. My children enjoyed the breakfast. Check out was super easy. I would so definetly stay here again when we are in the area. read more

We stayed at the Hampton inn and it was nice, we enjoyed the free breakfast in the morning and our room was very comfortable!

This area has never been my favorite. Smells like cow shit, hot, etc. The hotel experience was very much in line with the Central Valley. I asked to have a crib delivered to our 2 rooms. Two cribs where sent without bed sheets or anything of the sort. When I called front desk they informed me I had to go down to the lobby and get them myself since they have no staff to do this (too late? 11 pm) rooms where clean but the tv for the life of me wouldn't turn off. Had to get up from bed and thrash around in the dark to not wake up the kids and ended up unplugging the damn thing. This is a good place to sleep. That's all I would recommend this hotel and area for. Front desk girl was very nice although she didn't send me my sheets. If you must stay here plan on just sleeping and moving on to your next destination. read more

Stopped in here on our trip through California and have to admit, I am not very impressed. The air conditioner in the room is VERY loud and is constantly running what sounds like a very laborious task. The shower was not very good-- horrible water pressure & the lock on the bathroom door is broken. We were only able to get a room with a pullout and a normal bed, and the pullout was actually put together wrong, with a wire across the top that is supposed to be underneath. Add that to a crappy mattress and you get a very uncomfortable night of sleep. The only things this hotel really seems to have going for it is a complimentary breakfast (even that is mediocre as far as those go) and a friendly waitstaff. read more

My husband had reserved a room for 2 nights 4/21 and 4/22 which we were sharing with our out of town guest. Prior to reaching Visalia, we were in Las Vegas for 4 days with her. While there, our guest got extremely ill and had to be hospitalized in Las Vegas and we could not continue with our trip. We called several days before we were due to arrive to cancel our reservation and even emailed a doctor's note saying she could not travel, but no one at corporate or at the local Hampton Inn would refund our money or give us a credit. Clean, cozy, and the breakfast was excellent!! Checked in at midnight since we were just driving through. Security on duty which we liked since we had our toddler and bikes on the car we needed to unload. Definitely worth the price! Worth writting again... Breakfast was on point!! Nice room, seemed clean. Comfy bed. Walls were thin, which is why I was up until 1am (one star). That was fun, especially since I live in Oakland and I could have endured that at home. Second star taken away is for the "free breakfast". You forgot the word fake/insubstantial in that clause. One thing that drives me freakin NUTS about these hotels with "free breakfast" is you NEVER can get some freaking REAL eggs and bacon or sausage.. Or any substantial type of protein. It's like a fucking carb buffet with a side of egg beaters. Keep it, and advertise free "coffee and tea and crap" Get with the times, people. You've got tourists from all over the world, and the only people you're feeding with this crap is senior and domestic Americans. NO ONE ELSE EATS THIS SHIT. Eggs shouldn't have the consistency that yours did, and now I probably have cancer. Thanks for the free "breakfast". I'm bringing food from now on, because hotels would rather feed us poison than foot the bill for some eggs. Nice. Also, you should hire a hazmat team to dump the rest of your "gravy". The rooms and breakfast are acceptable, what is not acceptable the checking out process. I paid cash for my room and they still charged my credit card plus an additional $50 for service fees to the hotel. The front desk had someone check the room and received confirmation that the room was acceptable, so why do they still charge $50 for service fees!!!!!! Why even pay cash, I should have just deposited the money into my acct so when they charged my card, I would not have to be dealing with an additional money I had to come up with to cover the cost!!!!!! Typical Hampton Inn room. Note that the bathroom has only a shower. The main reason I am not happy with my experience is due to a schedule change. My wife and I had initially planned to spend two nights at this location, but due to a necessary schedule change, we contacted the hotel at 2:30 PM after our first night and told them that we would not be staying another night. After speaking with the desk clerk, she indicated that she would need to contact the manager directly to see if they would let us out of the 2nd night. She called me back shortly and told me that the manager refused but would let us out for $50. I personally am a business owner and this is poor business. Regardless of the small print, good businesses consider the needs of the customer. We already had paid $100+ for the previous night. We checked out anyway, and as we were leaving noticed that the housekeeping staff was still cleaning a room two doors down from ours. This was at 3:30 - they could have easily cleaned the room and rented it out that night if there had been a full hotel. I would not stay here again. I am NOT a satisfied customer because I ended up needing to pay for 2 hotels today. Not sure about the Hampton Inn promise at this location... read more

Hampton Inn saved the day! In town for the weekend, we started off at another hotel nearby. It had good reviews, but was actually terrible. Got online Saturday morning and booked a room here the 2nd night of our stay. What a world of difference. It's Visalia, so there aren't any Ritz-Carltons or even anything close to that, but if you want a clean, quiet, respectable place where you can't hear every neighbor through thin walls, this is your best bet in Visalia. This facility was built in late 2008. Everything is still bright and shiny -- and functional. In some sense, all these places are the same, but I'd come right back here instantly if I knew that I had to spend a weekend in the area again. The workout room has Precor equipment, and all of it still works. The "room keys" are proximity cards, so you can just wave your card in front of your door and walk right in to your room. (No worries about getting the card oriented correctly or about de-magnetizing it by sticking it up against a cell phone.) Complimentary breakfast and slow wireless internet access. Thick windows keep the noise of Route 198 out of your ears. read more

My review is mostly on the front receptionist. The guy that answered the phone sounded unprofessional and then I get there and right away I knew he was the one that answered the phone. Had a pony tail and a goat tee and a button up shirt that was 2 sizes too big. His name tag had 2 letters on it. Getting pass that I liked the rooms and the cleanness of the room. The walls were so thing that I can hear kids yelling and running around. Very early in the morning the dumpster truck came to pick up the trash and woke me up at about 5 am. The best part of it all was the breakfast and for that reason I give it an extra star. read more

I've stayed here about once a year for the last 5 years (business). I've always been pleased with the amenities and cleanliness until this visit. I dont know when it happened, but they switched to AT&T "broadband", which apparently is nowhere near high speed. I couldn't get some web pages to load, and could not access my website reliably (which is pretty essential when I'm away from the home servers). Checked it out, and the download speed was ~27kbs/sec, can we say "slow dialup speed"? Yeah, remember that 56.6 was the ancient dialp speed. So, overall great hotel, but the slow as molasses internet connection makes attempting to use this hotel for business near impossible. If you're here on vacation, and don't need to do computer work, then by all means stay here. I had to hit up a local coffee shop for their wireless to get my business done. read more

As good as it gets for the price that we paid, PERIOD! and conveniently located near Sequoia National Park. From inside and out, this hotel was clean with a modern/contemporary flair; the decor and all the amenities that our room came with seemed fairly new and the room was clean and comfortable and the Ac worked great. Little touches, like free hot beverages were available all day and night for guests and visitors just located across the front lobby into the dining room. Breakfast was incredible with choice of sausage, bagels, Belgian waffles, eggs, fresh fruit, cereal, yogurt, juices etc. etc. etc... We totally enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this place for those looking for great value, comfort, and most fo all a comfortable nights sleep and a wonderful breakfast to start off your day! read more

Hotel was very clean and the staff was very friendly. My wife and I accidentally left something there that was very important and meaningful to my wife and we didn't realize until the next day. So I called and I spoke to Lorita and she took the time to check the lost and found and find the item for us and went above and beyond to send it back to us. When I had mentioned this to my wife that she was doing this for us, my wife cried. We just received it in the mail today on 8/8 /19 and has made my wife extremely happy. They had selections like, fresh oatmeal with nuts and dried fruit, sausage and premade omlete. Also cereal and milk and a fresh hot self made waffles. They also had fresh fruit, danishes and bagles. We stayed here one night over the Thanksgiving break. The hotel is right off a service road to a highway. Good location with another hotel on one side and a neighborhood out back. We found the room very nice and clean. We sprung for the larger room with pull out couch for comfort. TV worked fine. Linen was fresh and clean. Bathroom looked nice without a lot of wear. The check in process was easy and pleasant. Both employees greeted me pleasantly and were very descriptive of the property. Luggage carts were available. My only issue was we were woke up by dogs barking at 5:30 am. I have not had that happen in a hotel as far back as I can remember. It was obviously from the neighborhood behind the hotel. The problem is that whomever had the dogs just let it go on and on. I don't think it actually really stopped until we left the room to drive home around 8 am. I doubt the hotel can control it but in the future I will stay at the front of the hotel if possible. The breakfast was actually better than most in that it had more choices. Omellete, scrambled eggs, potatoes, bacon, sausage, etc. There was also ample parking including a few places for Diamond members. read more

Another pleasant stay at a Hampton Inn. The larger room we got was well worth the few extra $$. Included a couch, desk, separate area with microwave, frig and sink. Very clean room and nice bath amenities (first time I'd ever been provided with a makeup removal wipe!). Staff was proficient and friendly. The breakfast is a step above the "continental breakfast" that is typically provided. The free newspapers and cookies were a bonus. The only downsides were the small pool that was perpetually in shadow (in October) and the fact that the hotel is not located in the downtown (but it's easy to hop on the freeway for a short ride). read more

I made a reservation online and had no problems checking in. Employees are friendly, hotel is nice and clean, beds are comfy, there's a convenient lil gym, pool is shaded, and they always have cookies, coffee, and tea in the lobby. Stayed here for the night on the way to Yosemite. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Wifi worked well. Their continental breakfast was surprisingly very good. I'd say it was on par to a McDonald's breakfast in quality of food, but there was a good variety of options from eggs and potatoes, to waffles. One of the nicest Hampton Inns in which I have stayed. A good hotel takes on the persona of the manager and this one must be good. The staff are great, the rooms above par for a Hampton and the key-less touch doors are the best. The only complaint I have with all Hampton Inns is the eggs in the breakfast. Stayed at this hotel while visiting friends in the area. Everything was really clean and maintained. We had a standard king room which was very impressive. The room is well maintained and has updated furnishings. The bathroom was especially impressive. It was very large with a large clean shower and great water pressure. The free breakfast was actually delicious with eggs, potatoes, biscuits and gravy, waffles, pastries and plenty of drinks. The staff was very friendly and accomodating. Disclaimer: This is a personality-specific review. I loved this hotel because it had everything I needed and nothing I didn't need. And of everything I needed, this hotel truly excelled. First of all, it's misleading because it's nestled between the Super 8 and Motel 6. Not to fear, for this lodging oasis has it's own property and parking lot. I stayed here for three nights recently. It's clean, bright, comfortable, etc. The room had a microwave and mini-fridge, ice machine on all levels, comfy CLEAN bed and pillows, and a ton of outlets. Free wifi for multiple devices, too. I liked that the hangers came off the rod (that speaks to my OCD side...). The fitness center was small but effective - it had three treadmills, an elliptical, free weights, and a stretching area. The daily breakfast spread was awesome. They had hot breakfast and fresh fruit, cereal, pastries, a WAFFLE MAKER (!!!), yogurt, etc. I thought the Holiday Inn Express chain had good breakfast, but the waffle maker gives Hampton the upper hand. (It's the little things...). For those of you not terrified of water, this hotel even has a pool and spa. Loved this hotel! read more
