I was a bit apprehensive about staying here due to the bad reviews, but decided to book anyways because I would be using my bonvoy points. Friendly Staff: the front desk gentleman that helped me was extremely friendly and talkative. There was another staff member that approached me at the coffee station, and was also very friendly. Nice to have the staff engage the patrons. Coffee station: they have a self serve coffee station. Descent coffee and convenient. Fitness Center: it's small, but glad I was able to get some cardio in during my stay. They have 2 treadmills, an elliptical, and weights. Room: the carpet did have a funky smell, but other than that, the room was clean and just needed to place to sleep. I would stay here again if in the area.

Having refillable containers in the shower was a nice way to save plastic waste. Good job on that!

Lovely hotel, very nice friendly reception Clerk. A bit pricey $150 for a single person and AAA discount. Good: I like that they had soap, conditioner and shampoo in refillable bottles on the wall to save all the plastic waste. Breakfast was decent with lots of options. Coffee was good. . .Not too wimpy as in most places. Not so good: The television did not work for changing channels, etc. very screwy menu. Maybe the battery was low but it was too annoying so I gave up. Bottle of water available in the room for $5!!! Sheesh. Location of ice machine not obvious. Curtains very sheer. No chance of walking around in the underwear here. They could not find my membership-who knows what benefit that is anyway. Neither morning or evening clerk and the provided phone number and website had no option to find it.

    Great lighting in the room

All four stars are for the gentleman in charge of breakfast in the morning. Whatever he makes, he should make more. The lack of fifth star was because of an issue I made the front desk aware of (room 223) but will spare Fairfield Inn on Yelp the details of said complaint.... Hopefully they addressed it.

I was very impressed with this hotel. We arrived around 10pm, the gentle was very kind at check in, we had asked since we drove 4 hours in for a funeral that if it was possible to do late check out since we just need an extra hour to get showered to go back home. The gentleman said it would be no issue to just let the morning person working know. I was so relieved. We stayed on the 3rd floor and everything was clean and cozy. We woke up for breakfast before heading out to a funeral and they had great options such as oatmeal, eggs, waffles, bagels, and juice. Worth the stay as it's complimentary breakfast. We headed to let the lady about the late check out and she said oh there's too many late checkout already that we couldn't. I was very disappointed as the gentleman said there would be no issue at all and he understood we only needed an hour to come back and get our things and just shower. Well the lady dressed very nice with brown hair, was straight rude and all i said just literally an hour or even 30 mins... well we ended up just paying for another day so we could come back and freshen up, but then she was like oh we might need to change rooms, but thankfully we kept same room but had to spend that extra 140 for all we needed was an hour that the gentleman the night of check in said oh no problem. So knowing we paid for the extra day, we delayed another couple hours to visit with family so the room wouldn't go to waste, but it was so unprofessional, since there were so many late checkout already that we couldn't get just 45/1hr as we drove from Pasadena the night before. It was unfair as we asked, but since others were able to, why not us, we didn't ask for much. So even though the hotel was great, the customer service needs to be worked on with the communication as the clerk the night before gave us his word there will be no issue at all, then the morning lady just said no, but others got a yes, what singled us a part. It was very upsetting as well, then when we tried to book through the lady, she said no we have to book through online and not through her, which why?? That didn't make sense to me, we could not just book at the front desk for the extra night we paid for. She said go online, so indeed i went online and did it, more of a headache as i was already going through personal things. Started so positive with the gentleman at night being so great then one rude morning person who i guess woke up on the wrong side of the bed and decided to not be accommodating, not even trying to help me book in person. I was shocked why. If we come up in the future, i really wished to stay here as i enjoyed the hotel, but service is most important.

My wife and I stayed here on June 16-17. This is the second time we booked to stay here, well of course because this place is very nice and affordable. We were coming down from Redding and needed somewhere to stay before we went to Morro Bay, CA. Love this location also, because it's near plenty of restaurants and our favorite restaurant called Apple's Annie. Highly recommended if you haven't been. When we checked in, Jackie made a great first impression. She was very friendly and helpful. As we checked into our first room it was musky and ask for another room. Jackie didn't hesitate to find a second room for us and also gave us snacks and bottle water which I was surprised and grateful for. So the first thing we notice going to our second room is the smell was much better. We checked the bathroom and it was cleaned and satanized! All and all the overnight stay was good, they had no breakfast and many amenities were closed like the gym. The hotel also was doing some kind of renovations. That's all, remember everyone to support your local business! YAH bless you! Stay safe!

Checked in for two rooms for Two nights Start Sat-Monday morning. I called ahead for early check in & if rooms close to each other? (They were in same floor) My Daughter was being Fussy, so tried check in 2pm. NO! (Was told short of staff) The Area has Starbucks, Walmart, 99 cents, Panda Express, & Outlet Stores. The Pool & Fitness room CLOSED per Marriott May 23rd & Website States NOTHING? Was told at check in Breakfast box would be at front Desk instead of Buffet. Sunday morning 8am they said they Ran out? Don't they know there own Occupancy? Destroyed my Sequia Trip. That was 2 hours lost looking around for Quality Breakfast. I asked if they can Substitute $1.00 "Cup of Noodles for Missing Box Breakfast? She said No, Needs GM Authorization, Got card started E-mail (Good Luck) So, Monday Morning went right at 6am, Sign Up "Sorry, Out Breakfast boxes,?" THEY DON'T HAVE STAFF ANY STAFF? THEY NEVER MADE ANY BREAKFAST BOXES . Don't You Love Being LIED too? I was just give E mail of GM who would Never Answer???? The Room smelled like smoke & if you get Discount Rate they put you facing Loud Highway. There is Hampton inn or Holiday Express close by Everything I say is my Opinion so Stay Somewhere Els

Best Western Town & Country Lodge was the nearest location to the event, safe neighborhood, and that was rated more than a 2-Star. For a 3-Star hotel, they meet the standard amenities. They even have an outdoor pool and hot tub. The hot tub was out of service at the time of my visit. PROS -Self parking on the premises with cameras. -Near my event with restaurants nearby. -Reasonable price. -Free breakfast. CONS -Noise at night from the busy road. -Walls are paper thin. -I smelled Coffee at 6 AM! Why? -No blackout curtains. -Loud AC unit made random clicking sound. Overall, my stay was fine for one night. If I was to stay more than one night, I would ask for the a room in the back of the premises because I was woken up a couple of times by sirens and loud noise. I'm also a light sleeper. My room was on the second floor near the front desk. Although the room is dated, I can tell it was recently painted and upgraded with new furnishings. Well maintained and clean. The room is spacious and had all the basic amenities, plus a microwave! Complimentary breakfast 6-9 AM daily with a good variety. Coffee, tea, juice, waffle maker, toaster with bread, bagel and muffin, cereals and hot items like scrambled eggs, sausages and biscuits and gravy. I didn't have much interaction with the staff but they seem friendly.

My one critique is I was traveling with a baby so I wasn't looking at the time. I made sure she had enough food during breakfast but at 9AM sharp the doors to the cafeteria were locked and shut so I lost track of time and therefore lost the ability to get myself a plate. A 5 minute warning would of been great but otherwise a great place to stay.

Checking in was a breeze. We were greeted by a very friendly attendant at the front desk, and there were multiple carts available for luggage. We got a very reasonable price on our room, so we were looking forward to staying in one of the king suites. However, immediately after check-in, I had to use the restroom and, as I sat down, a very large cockroach crawled out from the bathtub drain. I called the front desk and they offered to switch us to another room. We did attempt to check out the other room, but aside from the insecticide they had sprayed, I could smell a lingering cigarette odor likely from a previous guest. Unfortunately, I have a heightened sense of smell and can detect things that others might not. Ultimately, we decided to return to the first room after they treated it for the insect. On the second day of our stay, we requested an additional blanket for my child, who was sleeping on the pullout bed, to be delivered later in the evening. Breakfast was adequate, though we wished there were more fresh fruit selections. At the time, the only bananas available were very green and the apples didn't look too appealing. As we prepared to leave, we placed a "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door and left for the day. When we returned later that evening, I noticed that the towels had been changed and some had been placed over the bathtub while the towel on the floor had been picked up. I was surprised because we had the "Do Not Disturb" sign up, which meant no one should have entered our room. I checked the phone and saw that there was no message indicating someone had been in. I called the front desk to inquire about it, and the attendant stated they were unable to see in their system if the room had been entered, but that management would call us the next morning. I requested to be contacted as soon as possible since we would be checking out around lunchtime. The following morning, I had not received a call, so we went down for breakfast. I spoke with the front desk gentleman, who turned out to be a Sales Rep rather than an attendant. I explained what had happened and expressed my concern about the lack of communication. Initially, he seemed frustrated, and I couldn't understand why he was upset with me. After leaving to drop off food for my child, I returned for coffee and spoke to him again to clarify the situation. He was very polite and apologized for any misunderstanding, confirming that someone had been in our room due to the towel mix-up. I mentioned that I understood mistakes happen, but I felt the lack of communication was unfortunate. I also pointed out other issues with our room, including a slow-draining shower, low water pressure, and a showerhead that wouldn't fully turn off, mentioning that they might want to send maintenance to check these after we checked out. On a positive note, the sink water pressure was excellent. After breakfast, we went for a swim before showering, packing our bags, and checking out. Let's be honest, this is one of the more budget-friendly options within the Hilton brand, so it's important to set realistic expectations. Despite the hiccups, I was genuinely happy with how the situations were handled. Considering we got an excellent rate on the room, we weren't upset. If we had paid full price for the experience, we probably would have been more disappointed. The staff was very courteous and even added bonus points to my Hilton account as a gesture of goodwill. Everyone was polite and friendly, and the breakfast attendant was diligent in refilling any items that ran out. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would definitely return if the price was right.

My first room I noticed that the AC unit was leaking water or something on the floor, I let the front desk know and they moved me right away, actually to an upgraded larger room, which was nice. I typically always stay at Hampton's while traveling, it is a nice hotel and has good value. They offer free parking as well as free breakfast daily at a decent price. They are clean, safe and comfortable. My room was a king with a fold out couch. It also had a bar area and sink. The rooms always have a microwave, coffee maker and fridge which is great for your stay. This location has a pool and a gym as well. I did not get a pic of the pool, but I did get pics of the gym. The gym is small, but works, but the reason this location is getting 4 stars and not 5 is they were missing many of their dumbbells, I made it work, but they did not have any that were over 35 pounds. I typically try to pick a hotel that has a nice gym and I was disappointed a bit with this one, but I think they could easily improve this and get 5 stars next time. If they added a Precor weight machine, then it would be a no brainer. If you are traveling and need a nice clean, comfortable spot that does not break the bank, I would recommend this location. It's an old historic building so, things happen. The knocking though quickly turned into a roar. We contacted the front desk and this is where the true professionalism of the hotel crew, and particularly Maria, shined through. Maria quickly came upstairs, assessed the situation, triaged with other teams inside the hotel, and identified a solution within 20 minutes.
