Over the past few months a friend of mine had been helping me lift my hair from black to blonde. Unfortunately, this left my hair dry, uneven, and with different levels of blonde and orange in my hair. My hair felt dead and dull and totally looked like I did it myself (which I had started to do) and I knew my hair needed help. Hair Stylist: Whitney Color: Periwinkle Silver Whitney is such an amazing hair stylist. Not only does she have a good sense of style, but she also has the magic touch. I was contemplating on going for a metallic rose or a lavender silver. Because of my indecisiveness, I asked Whitney for her opinion/help. She informed me about how the metallic rose is like rose gold and how the lavender silver color would compliment my skin more than the metallic rose. Process didn't take as long as I thought. (The last time I died my hair, it took forever because my hair is literally black.) I don't regret being in the salon for more than 3 hours. The whole process was worth it! Mara ROCKS!! She has been doing my eye lashes and eye brows for a year and I LOVE them! She does an excellent job and always keeps me updated on new and upcoming products or services (ie: mink lashes, airbrush makeup, etc...). She is always accommodating when I have an event and need to come in super early. She is an absolute perfectionist so I always feel confident closing my eyes and napping in the chair while she makes my eyes beautiful! I've been going to Alexandra for about two years now and I don't think I could go to anyone else. I've tried other stylists in the area but nothing compares to her attention to detail. In December I decided that I wanted to go back to blonde. I change my mind all the time!! This time I walked in with bright red hair and walked out with a beautiful vanilla ice blonde in one shot. Lindsey Carter, First time at the Hampton Salon, great place! Lindsey offered coffee and made me very comfortable. Typically, I do nothing to my hair. I have long, gold locks. With summer coming, I wanted to try the two-tone hair style that is in and my layers needed some life. WOW!! Lindsey did a PHENOMINAL job! She made the two-tone look so natural, however, the hair cut... I get a compliment each day about my hair. I'm not the one to get up and blow dry or curl my hair, it's naturally wavy. It can be hard to find a good hair stylist in Orange County / OC area. Traditional barbers often don't get it and salons sometimes only focus on Woman's cuts and colors. Alex Abston at Hampton Salon provides the best men's haircut Newport Beach has to offer. She knows exactly which styles will work best with my hair and always adds something extra to make it stand out. I usually go with something high and tight - a bit of an undercut. She can do a fade like an old school barber with the finesse on top of a high end stylist. It's the best of both worlds. I have had Paul Anthony Salazar cut my hair since 1991. Even when I lived in Tahoe, I would fly down for a haircut. NO ONE else is going to touch it. I walk in, we talk about how our kids are... the golf game... nobody says anything about hair... he just does what he does best. I was recommended by a stylist to go see Jamie Lee. I can now say that I've found my stylist after being in the OC for almost two years. She fit me in last minute because I had an event to go to that evening. She did a color change and also a cut which I was a little reluctant for her to do because I have a barber but... Carlene does an excellent job with mens haircuts. Her cuts are the best I have experienced, she is on time (no waiting, unlike the previous salon that I went to), and the price is reasonable for the quality and service. I also think that the Hampton staff is very friendly and the parking is convenient. This is obviously a top salon in the area, and I have had a consistently good experience for over five years. I've had my hair cut and colored by Arthur for almost 20 years. I was coloring my own hair and going to budget rate hair stylists after my old stylist retired. I found Arthur through my boss at work whose hair always looked great. Arthur is a true artist with both color and scissors. He styled my hair and took me from a brunette to a blonde. My daughter had her hair done by Raul, he charged her over $400 and she left with hair breakage and chemical burns on her scalp . She contacted him asking for a refund , also contacted the salon directly. He agree to the refund however has not sent it. His text message which I posted are outrages. No one deserves to be spoken to like this. She is 19 yrs old ,not that age should have anything to do with this. read more
