Wow. Customer service is top tier here. We love Rolex and have a small collection going between my husband and me. However, if you know Rolex you know they are hard to find from an authorized dealer and many are only really available on the gray market. You need to be on an AD list to get many of their watches. So I digress... we wanted to stop in here and just see what they had. This is what we always do when we see an AD and hardly expect to see anything aside from a display piece. Well, we came in and had a really nice conversation with Paul, the owner. He showed us an amazing Diamond Lady Datejust that I fell in love with and was shocked to see. I was not planning on buying a watch that day but YOLO when you find one at an AD. Took it home, got on their list, and even came back a few days later where they graciously look a link out of one of my other Rolexes that needed it. From start to finish it was a great experience and I can't wait to see what else they get in. Paul also showed us a gorgeous men's bracelet I now have my eyes on for my husband. From the moment I entered and let them know what I needed, Katie helped me with such knowledge and kindness they became an instant favorite. As Rolex owners know, the less you move, the more you'll need to manually wind. And the more you age, the less you move. She was soooo familiar with the scenario. She took it in the back and made sure it wasn't something more serious, and of course recommended putting it on a winder at night (which was great because now I could tell dad that the shop recommended it...not just me). All I can say about my experience at Hamra is wow. From the beginning I was looking for a one watch collection and was unsure which type of Rolex that I wanted to obtain and was hopeless due to the stories that you hear about the "list". Upon coming into the store Trey greeted me and asked me what I was interested in and what type of watch I would like to get. 2 hours later we went through every single Rolex they had in the store and the functionality of them as I had new previous knowledge on these watches and wanted to know the differences between them. No matter what questions I had Trey had an answer for every single one and it was truly amazing how much knowledge he had on not only Rolex but the other brands that are offered at Hamra. It blew me away how much he knew off the top of his head and truly showed that he cares about his profession and strives to be one of the best salesmen there. After talking shop about watches we talked about our personal lives and it was awesome to not only have someone with the knowledge but also someone who was extremely personable and felt like a friend despite only knowing him for two hours. After our interaction he took down my information and the types of watches that I was interested in and told me that we would be in touch. Fast forward a month later and he offered me this beautiful submariner that I could not turn down! I was surprised and over the moon when he texted me and told me that he had a present for me! After coming down to the shop we went over the specs and all of the applicable knowledge to the piece that I was obtaining and then once again had a conversation about life and how things were going in our necks of the woods. Inquired if they would do this service for me. Was immediately asked if I had purchased my watch there, at which I responded, "no, and that I had just moved to the area". The person told me that I must take it back to my place of purchase to have that done. Was surprised at that and inquired why..,no adequate response was given besides the fact that they don't do that. Took it, and my business, elsewhere without any question or issues. To my knowledge, they are the only Patek dealer in the state, as well as, an authorized dealer for other great brands like Rolex, Tudor, Breitling, etc. On top of watches, their stones and other jewelry are truly amazing and high end. Not even sure I can even express in words how rude Steve G was when we just went into Hamra Jewelers just now. We were interested in trading in our two Rolex watches for two new ones. At first Steve was courteous as you would expect in a high end jeweler. We were looking at some new watches and tried on a few. But what you see is what you have in stock as he said. We didn't like anything in stock so we asked if the same amount offered in trade would be for cash and we can go elsewhere to buy the Rolex watches we wanted. That's when the service level dropped. Steve in a condescending manner said "you asked about a trade in and not cash". I said well we don't see anything we liked. He rolled his eyes and said well it is a different price and it will take a few minutes because that is not what you asked. I am sorry. Who is the client here for one? And two the store barely had anyone in there. And third he last comment "oh you guys are making me get my steps in today." That is when we left. Steve is it because you get more commission on a sale and not cash? This is not how you treat a new client. Trust me there are many high end jewelry stores in the Scottsdale area. And this has nothing to do with what they offered for our trade in. This has to do with treating people with decency and respect. You would get better service somewhere else. UPDATE TO YOUR REPLY; This has nothing to do with your inventory or what you have in stock. It is how we were treated as potential clients because you came recommended by my Father in Law who serviced many of his Rolex watches. Your sales associate was completely rude and treated us like we were an inconvenience when your store was completely empty. We went to Hyde Park Jewelers who actually treated us like a customer and actually listened to what we wanted and what we needed. No need for a call.
