The ambiance is spectacular, and the service is wonderful. The presentation is immaculate. Portions are small in my opinion, but hey, check it out for a special occasion and have a fun time.

This is a very unexpected addition to the mystic dining scene! The menu is interesting and diverse, food is well prepared, wait staff and management are very attentive and the decor... awesome. When you step into the restaurant you definitely don't feel like you're in Connecticut any more. Really enjoyed what we tried and look forward to heading back for another meal. It is pretty pricey for the area, so be forewarned. However, when you look at the care and attention put into the presentation of the meals, it's all well worth the cost.

We were seated immediately in this intimate, Asian inspired restaurant and greeted by the most personable and upbeat server, Hannah. The restaurant is small (only 13 tables) with a full seated bar and dimly lit, which made it feel very comfortable and romantic. Hannah presented us with warm towels and water while the owner, Johnny, who also owns Peking Tokyo, served us 2 scallop, nori tacos. Incredible is an understatement for these tasty apps. We ordered the crab salad (Kani) and the peppered tuna with guacamole. I would've never ordered anything with guac, but wanted to try something different. Both were so delicious. We then ordered the Madai (Japanese Red Snapper) with Caviar and that literally was the most amazing fish I've ever had. We finished with 3 rolls, Crazy Tuna, Masons Island and the Kim and another glass of wine. The spicy tuna followed by a sip of delicious wine elevated the flavors to another level. The fish was extremely fresh and the service, impeccable. Looks like we found our new Date Night spot!

Presentation and food were very good. A bit pricey for the portion sizes. Loved the ambiance and service was good. I would go back.

The sushi we got was really fresh and fantastic. I got the orange chicken as an entrée and it was very crispy and the chicken meat was good inside. I also got a lychee martini, which kinda has a melon/passionfruit kind of flavoring to it if you're not familiar with lychee. We got the Bamba for dessert. I'm not usually a fan of peanut butter, but this one was really good. The weight staff was super nice and attentive the whole time, it was also very sweet that at the end of our meal they brought out a small gift for my brother to unwrap now my brother and his wife come to this restaurant often so I thought maybe this was just something they were doing because they knew them but when asked, they said that they do this for all the customers and I thought that was the coolest thing. My brother ended up opening up a car phone mount which was very practical and useful and something he actually needed. Overall, this place was definitely a 10 out of 10 will be coming back for sure. Next time I'm in Mystic.

My kids loved the avocado and shrimp tempura rolls, which they both add so fast. My wife enjoys her scallops and ordered the scallon in black bean sauce. She said the scallop is fresh and tastes sweet. Couldn't help it but I did steal some of scallop and can confirm it was fresh and sweet. For a lunch special we ordered general tso and sesame chicken which were both crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside, and coated with a generous amount of sauce. The lunch special comes with a choice of soup. My kids chose the egg drop soup and I chose the hot and sour soup. Both soups were good. Why not 5 star? I thought the bathroom could use some improvement? At first my wife said it smelled like poop, and I really thought it was just her thinking that. Keep in mind that its 2 bathrooms, one for the ladies and one for the gents. When I stepped into the restroom for men, I immediately was overtaken by the smell of poop. They need to improve their ventilation system and also put in some air freshener. If it weren't for the bathroom issue, I'd definitely rate this place 5 stars. Food was amazing, would definitely come here again.

The fish is FRESH, the food is well prepared, and I haven't ordered anything that I haven't loved. The fish and chips are perfection as is the fried calamari. The lobster roll is excellent. I enjoy all of the sushi rolls that I've tried and the sashimi. Thanks Go Fish! You never disappoint! I love the new building!

But I believe this place to be in an identity crisis. They have a lot going on-- a sushi bar. A raw bar. An open kitchen. A regular bar. The menu is very asian inspired/themed, but the inside of the restaurant feels very beachy/east coast vibes. And the dining areas feel "thin" -- like there is a lot of open space. I got the PlayBoy Roll as a starter, and it took about 20 minutes. Which felt kind of long, given how many (little) people were in there. And I was a party of "1" ... BUT, I ate every bite of it, and it was delicious! For my entree, I got the grilled swordfish, which I really enjoyed! But again, it felt like it took too long... It came with a side of pineapple fried rice with microgreens on top (I picked off the microgreens... do they really go ontop of fried rice?), and some broccolini. I imagine that this place is (also) attempting to host large parties/banquets. Feels like they could be set up for that. I just think the entire thing needs a little refinement.

The menu had a little bit of everything ranging from Thai to sushi to Vietnamese, a very fusion type feel to it. The service was friendly and the food came out in a timely manner. Three items were ordered and tried. They consisted of the sushi nachos ($14.95), bao buns with chicken katsu ($12.95) and the Mystic River roll ($19.95). The nachos had diced tuna, sliced avocado, Pico de Gallo, topped with spicy avocado sauce and tobiko and served over fried wonton skins. There was a nice portion here. I thought they were going to be small wontons, but this was a pleasant surprise. There was a great ratio of flavors, and I really enjoyed the small dicing of everything. The bao buns were topped with sliced cucumbers, spring onions, carrots, and some type of sweet hoisin sauce it appeared. The chicken was very crispy and tasty. The bun was okay. It was a little tough. I did enjoy the sweet factor from the sauce to pair with the hot and crunchy chicken. The Mystic River roll had tuna, salmon, mango, as well as avocado topped with spicy mayo and was wrapped in a rice wrapper. This was alright. There was a lot of mayo present, which took away from the fish flavor, but it still was not bad. The rice wrapper was an interesting choice, but overall, okay. Will I go back? Probably.

It was a bit above average for the area and prices were better than I've seen elsewhere. My husband and I dined in on a Saturday around 6 pm. The place was already slammed with online orders and it did not stop the entire hour or so we spent in the building. Everything is disposable even when dining in and eating out of styrofoam isn't my preference but ok. It's a small establishment and I would guess the overwhelming majority of their business comes through online ordering. So, order online rather than go in as there is no real ambiance. I tend to order pretty basic rolls and sashimi which I think really levels the playing field when it comes to sushi. So, my commentary on the sushi is just based on the quality of the fish. It was alright not particularly vibrant or fresh. But not bad either. The pieces of sashimi were literally the biggest I've ever seen. They were too big to comfortably one-bite. The spicy tuna roll was pretty good and didn't require soy sauce to make it palatable. The miso soup was also good. My husband loved their salad dressing. If we decide to order again I would skip the sashimi and probably order some à la cart nigiri to form my final opinion. The search for a truly killer sushi place around here continues.
