Nice spot located on a golf course. You enter from the parking lot through the two front glass doors. To the right is the entrance to the restaurant. There is a nice view overlooking the course. I am from Hawai'i and was traveling in Utah. I was getting over all the burger joints and needed my hawaiian style plate lunch fix. I found Hana Hou Kitchen on yelp and decided to give it a try. Let me tell you it was a good call! The gentleman at the register greeted me with a warm smile and immediately sparked up where you from sis?! It was so nice to hear that being we are far away from home haha The menu consisted of a variety of plate lunches from fried to (poke)fresh fish. There is definitely something for everyone. I ordered the garlic chicken plate and buggah was fresh, hot and it was ono (delicious) It was served with rice and mac salad. The portions were on point for the price. I was supposed to wait until I got back to my hotel to eat it but couldn't help myself. I pretty much inhaled the plate. On my way out I got a big aloha farewell. I'm kind of annoyed that I came here today because now I'll be craving for garlic chicken and kalbi that I have to drive almost two hours for. Cute little spot with beautiful golf course views, friendly service, and great food. The garlic fried chicken is the best - even better than anything I've ever had in Hawaii - and the kalbi is made to order, perfectly grilled, tender and juicy. We usually head out to UT from LV to fish and found this spot. Poke was super good and the garlic chicken was even better. Better than the ones I had back in vegas and just as good as back home. Finally went in after reading possitive comments about this place. It IS wonderful. Not a 'golf course snack bar'. It is a restaurant with Hawaiin Isands menu. Really like other Island style restaurants in town but Hana Hou is just a different leverl. Talked to the owner as we ordered and ate. Super nice guy. Not only is the food delicious but the service is amazing as well. I've gone three days in a row because the food is so delicious it is almost addictive. The garlic chicken is the best fried chicken I've ever had. The poke is fresh, flavorful. the Kalbi and Teri beef is seasoned to perfection and cooked perfectly. When I got my kalbi the owner looked at it and said "this is burnt, that's not what we're about" then proceeded to cook us more, no questions asked. That is the truest form of good service, people who not only care about making their customers happy but make sure they have a good reputation and stick to their standards. We were craving Hawaiian food after a weekend in Zion, and this was the only Hawaiian place open on a Sunday. We were hesitant because they didn't have kalua pork (my favorite), but my mind was blown by the garlic chicken! It was so moist, crispy, and flavorful!
