If you're looking for a place to eat before heading out of St. George after a long day in Zion, this restaurant is a great choice. Their food is delicious, and they were able to accommodate our large family with kids. The ambience is wonderful, and the meat is full of flavor. Parking is along the side street. Service was great from start to finish. Highly recommend.

This was one of the best meals I had while visiting Utah. They offer traditional barbecue and they also have a twist on some dishes like burgers, chicken wings. The brisket was my favorite meat here if paired perfectly with those hand made flour tortillas. I would never expect to eat barbecue with tortillas, but it was perfect. I came during Fourth of July weekend and they had a chili cheese dog, which surprisingly was my favorite thing. I ate that day.

Arrived just before rush hour which worked out great for us. We ordered Brisket torta and the Double X Platter. Double platter came with ribs, brisket and we chose the Serrano cheddar sausage. For the sides we picked the Mac n cheese and esquite. Serrano cheddar sausage was my favorite. Brisket was flavorful and tender. The ribs had good flavor but I prefer spare ribs. The Mac and cheese were creamy and the esquite lacked some flavor, it was a bit bland for me. Our whole meal plus 2 drinks came out to about $90. Service was great and place has plenty of seating.

We our from CA and we stopped by this place on our way to page. Even though we got there 10 minutes to their closing , Olivia allowed us to go in, order and sit. This place is casual and big with both inside and outside sitting areas. Olivia who greeted us at the door was very friendly and kindly helped us with our orders and then with some nice suggestions for our next stay in Moab. Amazingly enough everything we tried from their menu was delicious and we have nothing bad to say. We tried their brisket, ribs, chicken, sausage, and coleslaw and all were delicious. She also brought us bacon wrapped jalapeños on the house which was also fantastic. All together we were very satisfied with everything.

They have awards for a reason.

Being from Texas this was epic to try. They were doing it right. Everything is from scratch and the meats were just all around perfect. The brisket was like butter, the links were crisp, and that was some of the better coleslaw I've ever had. You know they're slanging some serious food when they take care of coleslaw like most establishments couldn't care less about. Also, don't pass on the cake or homemade Tres Leches. Delicious. We can't wait to get back up here!

First stop rolling into St. George, and Pica Rica set the bar for the entire trip. That brisket -- specifically the bark -- was unreal. The elote was just as good, and the sausage completely caught me off guard with how good it was. I'd tell you about the ribs, but my kids demolished every last one before I finished my brisket. Never even got a bite. The BBQ sauce smeared across their faces told me everything I needed to know. Real-deal family BBQ -- if you're passing through southern Utah, do not skip this place.

Came here on a Sunday afternoon for lunch. Had the brisket sandwich and it was good, tender meat and well seasoned. Also had the Mac n cheese which was very creamy and tasty We sat outside due to having dogs and there were no trash cans outside outside which was a slight inconvenience due to us needing to wipe down the tables we sat at due to the rain. Serves were nice and food was good...4/5 stars since heritage is better

The brisket here is amazing! It's tender and flavorful. The decor and branding is cool and fun and adds to the ambiance. And the fries must be magic because even after they cooled off they still were tasty. And I don't know any other fries that are that way. The people who work there are nice as well. It's a bit odd they don't have fountain drinks. But they do have a variety of sodas in bottles and cans and a huge water container with a spigot where you can wet your whistle! You MUST come here if you're in St. George!

I've been meaning to try this place for a while. Finally had the chance to come in on a Friday night. It wasn't as busy as I expected which was a plus. We got the double X platter which comes with brisket, ribs, sausage and a side. It also comes with tortillas and an optional pickled onions, jalapeños and pickles. Everything was great. The bark and smoke on each of the meat was perfect. They were flavorful and moist. The sauces were also fantastic, including a móle and green sauce which are Mexican inspired. I wasn't sure there would be enough food, but we both left full and excited for our return trip!

Pica Rica is the coolest spot in St. George! Loved the decor and theme, and the food was incredible. We shared a platter with brisket and ribs, with charro beans, fruit and chips and chorizo queso dip. Everything was so good, and we will definitely be back. Customer service was awesome, and they have cool little photo spots in the restaurant and nice merch. Highly recommend, we're from So Cal and this BBQ rivals some of the best BBQ spots we've been to.

The meats are top notch. The ribs have a great crust and smoke ring. The sausages are savory, juicy, and great snap. But the sides leave something to be desired. We had the esquites and potato salad. The service was great. They were super nice and really moved the line along. The ambiance is s lively and fun.

I've been waiting for this moment for a long time.. IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT. Pica Rica is the real deal. The restaurant has great vibes, staff is super friendly and helpful. Music wasn't too loud and added to the ambiance. Food was SO GOOD. Our family ordered the smoke show and my goodness, everything on that feast of a platter was delicious, fresh and made with love. Highlights of the meal were the brisket esquites, the brisket itself, the sauces, especially the 2 bbq ones, the beans and the beans!! Sausage and smoked turkey were also delicious! Side of fruits, charro beans and Mac n cheese were also out of this world. I'm counting the days til I have a reason to be back in St. George and try more items off the menu!

The staff was extremely helpful and welcoming; from greeting us when we arrived to walking us through how things work to the service. We had the chopped tacos with brisket, pork, and turkey. We enjoyed the pork and brisket the most but the turkey was excellent as well. We would definitely come back if we were ever in town again. Oh and the house made fries with the fry dipping sauce were fire.

Mac and cheese, pickles, chipotle sausage, brisket, rib and tortillas.

First of all, the server Domonic, was stiff....he didn't check on me or my partner other than to ask us to cut into our steaks when we got them. My guy's steak was not as he wanted....he wanted it cooked medium, he got almost rare....it had to get sent back...then a drink I ordered, a painkiller, tasted watery...and the Diet Coke my guy wanted had a strange taste. When I asked for another drink, the answer was quick and terse..."we don't give free refills" Wow!.......it's as if he wanted us to leave immediately and had the to go containers at the ready....(was it because my partner and I are an interracial couple?) (he had a bad day? ) (who knows) The interaction with the server felt off from the beginning. The place is nice, but I felt let down. Unbeknownst to the restaurant, they had a celebrity in their midst.....Olympic athlete, gold medal winner....not naming him unless asked.... I tipped Domonic $20 because customer service is hard and times are hard.... The ladies at the desk were nice and personable.... Would I come back here, not really..

The reason for the 3 stars instead of 5 is fully on the service and not the food. We were there 1.5 hours with no wait to get seated, but once seated we waited 15 minutes before the waiter came to check on us. If they had been busy I would have understood but we were one of two tables in the restaurant at that time. Once the waitress came and took our order we waited forever to get our food. I think there was only one person back running the kitchen. The food was really good but considering how long it took to get our drinks and our food I give it 3 stars. The waiter was never around when we needed refills or had questions. I would like to return but I'm hesitant at the moment.

Our main dishes took over 30 minutes to arrive, and it felt like they only came out because we actively hunted down staff to ask. On top of that, our Caesar salad was missing. After waiting another 15 minutes for the salad, we finally caught a server and explicitly asked to cancel it. 10 minutes after canceling, the server brought the salad out anyway, saying it was on the house. By that point, we were already finished with our meal and turned it away. Kitchens get busy, and guests understand that. But setting expectations upfront ("Hey folks, the kitchen is backed up about 30 minutes today") or proactively offering a small courtesy early on would have changed everything. Leaving guests in the dark, ignoring a cancellation, and then offering an unwanted item at the very end isn't good service. I'm normally a generous tipper, and frankly, a tip wasn't deserved here at all. I left $2.00 strictly out of habit, but the front-of-house service severely let down what was otherwise a great meal from the kitchen.

The salad was fresh and beautifully prepared, the pork belly was absolutely outstanding, and the steak was cooked to perfection with the most incredible seasoning. Every bite was memorable. The biscuit was unreal--warm, comforting, and honestly one of the best I've ever had. What touched me most was the homemade ice cream. One spoonful instantly brought me back to childhood memories of my dad making homemade ice cream for us when we were kids. It was such a special and unexpected gift to relive those moments. But what truly made the evening unforgettable was our server, Parthee. She was absolutely amazing. Her kindness, attentiveness, and genuine warmth made us feel so welcomed and cared for. She didn't just provide excellent service--she made our night. Our family has been through a lot, including the heartbreaking loss of my sister.
