We our from CA and we stopped by this place on our way to page. Even though we got there 10 minutes to their closing , Olivia allowed us to go in, order and sit. This place is casual and big with both inside and outside sitting areas. Olivia who greeted us at the door was very friendly and kindly helped us with our orders and then with some nice suggestions for our next stay in Moab. Amazingly enough everything we tried from their menu was delicious and we have nothing bad to say. We tried their brisket, ribs, chicken, sausage, and coleslaw and all were delicious. She also brought us bacon wrapped jalapeños on the house which was also fantastic. All together we were very satisfied with everything.

They have awards for a reason.

Being from Texas this was epic to try. They were doing it right. Everything is from scratch and the meats were just all around perfect. The brisket was like butter, the links were crisp, and that was some of the better coleslaw I've ever had. You know they're slanging some serious food when they take care of coleslaw like most establishments couldn't care less about. Also, don't pass on the cake or homemade Tres Leches. Delicious. We can't wait to get back up here!

Pica Rica is the coolest spot in St. George! Loved the decor and theme, and the food was incredible. We shared a platter with brisket and ribs, with charro beans, fruit and chips and chorizo queso dip. Everything was so good, and we will definitely be back. Customer service was awesome, and they have cool little photo spots in the restaurant and nice merch. Highly recommend, we're from So Cal and this BBQ rivals some of the best BBQ spots we've been to.

The meats are top notch. The ribs have a great crust and smoke ring. The sausages are savory, juicy, and great snap. But the sides leave something to be desired. We had the esquites and potato salad. The service was great. They were super nice and really moved the line along. The ambiance is s lively and fun.

Came here on a Sunday afternoon for lunch. Had the brisket sandwich and it was good, tender meat and well seasoned. Also had the Mac n cheese which was very creamy and tasty We sat outside due to having dogs and there were no trash cans outside outside which was a slight inconvenience due to us needing to wipe down the tables we sat at due to the rain. Serves were nice and food was good...4/5 stars since heritage is better

The brisket here is amazing! It's tender and flavorful. The decor and branding is cool and fun and adds to the ambiance. And the fries must be magic because even after they cooled off they still were tasty. And I don't know any other fries that are that way. The people who work there are nice as well. It's a bit odd they don't have fountain drinks. But they do have a variety of sodas in bottles and cans and a huge water container with a spigot where you can wet your whistle! You MUST come here if you're in St. George!

The staff was extremely helpful and welcoming; from greeting us when we arrived to walking us through how things work to the service. We had the chopped tacos with brisket, pork, and turkey. We enjoyed the pork and brisket the most but the turkey was excellent as well. We would definitely come back if we were ever in town again. Oh and the house made fries with the fry dipping sauce were fire.

I've been meaning to try this place for a while. Finally had the chance to come in on a Friday night. It wasn't as busy as I expected which was a plus. We got the double X platter which comes with brisket, ribs, sausage and a side. It also comes with tortillas and an optional pickled onions, jalapeños and pickles. Everything was great. The bark and smoke on each of the meat was perfect. They were flavorful and moist. The sauces were also fantastic, including a móle and green sauce which are Mexican inspired. I wasn't sure there would be enough food, but we both left full and excited for our return trip!

Best bbq in St. George by far! The brisket is so tender and a must-try! The wings were crispy and hot but just alright. The esquite was a little wet for my liking and the coleslaw just tasted like wet cabbage. I would stick to the brisket and sausage if you're coming to this spot! Service was nice and it's nice to sit in the back patio by the smokers! Worth a try!

I've been waiting for this moment for a long time.. IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT. Pica Rica is the real deal. The restaurant has great vibes, staff is super friendly and helpful. Music wasn't too loud and added to the ambiance. Food was SO GOOD. Our family ordered the smoke show and my goodness, everything on that feast of a platter was delicious, fresh and made with love. Highlights of the meal were the brisket esquites, the brisket itself, the sauces, especially the 2 bbq ones, the beans and the beans!! Sausage and smoked turkey were also delicious! Side of fruits, charro beans and Mac n cheese were also out of this world. I'm counting the days til I have a reason to be back in St. George and try more items off the menu!

I've never been the type to say "I want BBQ." Growing up, it was rare--and usually dry. But Pica Rica changed that. This place nails BBQ with a smoky Texas heart and a Mexican soul. The tortillas? Just like my mom's--no fork needed, just wrap it all up and go to town. The brisket was insanely tender, juicy with a bark so good it should be illegal. The mac and cheese? Silky, cheesy heaven--clearly someone back there knows their béchamel. And the ribs? They basically fell off the bone, handed me a napkin, and said, "You're welcome." Oh, and the tres leches... believe the hype. Moist, rich, just the right amount of sweet. Like a milky cloud of joy. Chef Jason Neeley and team are out here changing lives, one tortilla-wrapped bite at a time. BBQ convert for life.

Burnt ends (I had already eaten a couple and I asked for no sauce)

First of all, the aroma as you're walking by is heaven. Good variety on the menu. I ordered the Turkey cobb salad and the burnt ends and they did not disappoint. Perfectly smoked and perfectly cooked. Oh, and...they fry in beef tallow! No seed oils!

Best fooood ever!!!! I'm about to go hold a sign out front!!! lol Everyone needs to try this place!!!! Beef cheeks are to die for + their elote corn salad - their meat and BBQ sauce is sooooo good!!! We haven't been able to find any good food in this area since moving from California - this is the first place to impress me!!

My husband and I ordered 2 loaded bakers (potatoes) and they were so HUGE we took one home and shared the other. Loved the choice of toppings: bacon, green onions, sour cream & cheese. Also added chicken on one of them for an extra charge. It was delicious and cooked perfectly. I asked for a lot of things while we were there & Tawney never seemed like I was too demanding & always had smile and good attitude for whatever I needed. Loved the many choices on the bbq sauces also to put on the meats & favorite is the sweet one. The restaurant/bathrooms are clean and loved the ambiance. I highly recommend if you love bbq food.

The baked potato is the size of a football !!! All the choices were pretty good. The brisket was dry however. We have an exec chef in the mix and he totally nixed the brisket. Ribs were good, the polish kielbasa was yummy. Best in the bunch was the pulled pork. I had that on my baked potato and it was so delicious. Honestly, that baked potato was big enough for three meals! Kiddos all had Dino nuggets. Acceptable ... but a bit dry. Spur of the moment everything was decent. But it's not quite the place I'd rush to return to.

The reason for the 3 stars instead of 5 is fully on the service and not the food. We were there 1.5 hours with no wait to get seated, but once seated we waited 15 minutes before the waiter came to check on us. If they had been busy I would have understood but we were one of two tables in the restaurant at that time. Once the waitress came and took our order we waited forever to get our food. I think there was only one person back running the kitchen. The food was really good but considering how long it took to get our drinks and our food I give it 3 stars. The waiter was never around when we needed refills or had questions. I would like to return but I'm hesitant at the moment.

From the moment we arrived, every dish was exceptional. The salad was fresh and beautifully prepared, the pork belly was absolutely outstanding, and the steak was cooked to perfection with the most incredible seasoning. Every bite was memorable. The biscuit was unreal--warm, comforting, and honestly one of the best I've ever had. What touched me most was the homemade ice cream. One spoonful instantly brought me back to childhood memories of my dad making homemade ice cream for us when we were kids. It was such a special and unexpected gift to relive those moments. But what truly made the evening unforgettable was our server, Parthee. She was absolutely amazing. Her kindness, attentiveness, and genuine warmth made us feel so welcomed and cared for. She didn't just provide excellent service--she made our night. Our family has been through a lot, including the heartbreaking loss of my sister. Father's Day hasn't always been easy for my sweet dad since then. This evening gave us something precious: a new happy memory together. We placed our appetizer and drink orders and later dinner. We simply ordered the trout, crab Mac and cheese and I ordered the duck. The Water Mellon Pork belly came out first. The pork belly was tough and hard not like times past. We really needed a steak knife and 1/2 of the 2 portions we ordered was not edible. The trout and crab mac came out and I waited and waited not 10 min but nearly 30 minutes for the duck. I spoke to our waitress and I think the manager and they kept saying it takes more time to prepare. At about 25 minutes I canceled my duck as my wife and friend were done with their meal. I was given just excuses and no explanation. I suggested that since they KNOW the duck takes longer to prepare they should have started that first. I was told by the two I spoke too that they put in the order and it's started in that order so my duck was last. So the so called Chef's who should know the duck takes longer blew it along with the wait staff. In every restaurant setting I've been in, the chef would to start what takes longer first so the table of two or more would be served at the SAME time. But not here at Wood Ash Rye. As mentioned this was one of at least four other times here. But in our years absence, the familiar faces were gone, the so called Chefs looked like line cooks and the wait staff was clueless on how to make things right. Sad....we won't be back.
