Eh. Not sure how they've gotten the ratings they gave. We were starving after not having eaten all day and it filled the hole. But I wouldn't choose to eat here again. I got the rice and noodle bowl with steak. The steak had a weird texture and everything tasted like Chinese five spice. It came with a few slices of tempura veggies that tasted good but were super greasy. My son's tacos with pork were "ok", according to him. There was a lot of cheese on it. read more

My map took me to the wrong area. It is located next to the Wyndham Hotel in the strip-mall right off of the freeway. The staff was super friendly, and there was tons of seating inside. My husband got the cod fish tacos with fries. He loved them. (Tacos come with your choice of protein- there's a TON to choose from and you can get tempura or grilled. They also come on your choice of soft corn, or hardshell.) I got white rice, Mac salad, and tempura veggies. Mine was epic. So so so good. The tempura vegetables were so crunchy on the outside and soft in the center, and came with an amazing teriyaki-ish dip. The veggies were a mix of zucchini/squash and sweet potato. We also shared the seasonal pumpkin flan. Literally the best flan that I have ever had. We ordered more to go and also got a slice of chocolate cake to go. Will definitely be back. read more

Decided to stop here for food since we were on this side of town! We've been coming for years growing up, but it had been a while. It's always a fairly quiet little place, but the foods very delicious. It comes out quickly and has wonderful texture and flavor. The place just feels like a cute little ma and pops place. Inexpensive little spot in a strip mall. Food was nothing special, but the Hawaiian touch makes it a little different. They do offer fish and seafood options, though I didn't see them in the online menu. The staff person didn't seem to understand my question about substitutions for fries that came with my shrimp tacos, so I gave up and accepted them - and they were nicely seasoned with a mix of white and sweet potatoes. It probably wouldn't be my first choice of traveling through again, though I wouldn't mind. If the menu appeals, go for it. read more

The food taste good and the service is nice but very small portions. Almost too small because I got a meal and the rice was like half a cup? Glad we got appetizers! The veggie tempura comes out hot and fresh, light and crispy! But the sesame chicken I got taste like teriyaki, nothing sesame. Wow...we loved coming here but this time was a total bust! Wife ordered shrimp tempura with rice, never got it and then we asked for Soy Sauce, after meals came. Told it was extra now!!! Extra? It use to be added to the meal. They are charging for condiments??? So I pay $26.00 and you want soy sauce, more!! Never coming back!!! And to add to it, they want you to bus your own table!!! The photos of mine made the portions look good, especially for the Oscar, but then when I picked it up it was really small. It looks like an entrée portion, but it's more of an appetizer portion for an entrée price. See photo comments for more information. The rice and chicken portions and the kids meals are about the same as the adult portions, so if you have teens this is a great place. We didn't try the dessert, but the trace leches looks homemade and pretty good. Of the meats we tried they were all really good, the steak was the only one that was lackluster because it was so tiny. Thicker slices of steak and this place could go up a whole star because I don't think there was really anything else wrong with it. When you say steak I'm expecting steak in my meal, not steak tidbits. Again see the picture for an example. We had the chicken, crab, shrimp tempura and pork. All tender and delicious. read more

I'm visit St. George for work so I was looking for something different from drive-thru chain restaurants. Yelp led me here. I didn't dine in but there was seating available inside and on the patio. I ordered the Tuesday special, Tiki Tacos with Mahi-mahi as my protein. The meal came with a fountain drink and French fries (mine or half sweet potato and a half regular potato not sure if that's how it served or if that's just how it was served to me, it wasn't reflected that way in the photo no complaints I'd like sweet potato fries as well). It was a great price. I also order a side of the Mac salad. The tacos were delicious, they were served with a creamy spicy sauce which I felt complemented the sweetness of the fish and sauce that it was cooked in. The coleslaw added a great crunch. The only thing that threw me off was the cheese in the taco. For me it wasn't needed. The french fries were well, seasoned and cooked perfectly in my opinion. The Mac salad was a bit meh to me. The sauce was a little watery so it didn't coat the noodles leaving them a little bland. I'm used to a traditional tuna Mac salad, and that was what I was expecting, but I don't believe this is that it is more of a traditional cookout Mac salad. I did add the remaining creamy spicy sauce from the tacos to the Mac salad, which did elevate the taste All in all this place is worth the try, decently priced and filling. read more

I have driven past this place without noticing it for a while, but today I spotted it and decided to give it a try. Oh my goodness it was delicious! We got the rice and noodle bowl with sesame chicken. Their tempura and sesame chicken and noodles were all so delectable. We also got a pina colada smoothie with mango added and I was pleasantly surprised to taste all real fruit ingredients--no syrups and concentrates here--it was the real deal. Don't drive past any more! Stop and eat. Totally worth it. The decor and ambience is so-so but if the food is what you're after then come and eat. You will not be sad. read more

Wow!! We really enjoyed our first visit to Tiki Island!! Hubs had a platter with Hawaiian pork, and I had fish & chips. Both delicious... and the fries were amazing. My boyfriend and I stopped here on our way cross country. He was sick with food poisoning within 4 hours of eating here. We had to stay an extra day in Saint George because he was too sick to move. When I went inside to tell the owner that I wasn't sure what was put in his food and let him know, he told me "we haven't gotten any other calls about last nights food but if you want to come back I'll give you a discount." We just had dinner here with friends who have eaten here before. We all got the daily special but with different meats--pulled pork, mahi mahi, shrimp and steak. The entrees came with noodles, rice and tempura sweet potatoes and zucchini. We also got onion rings and sweet potato fries. Everything was hot and yummy. They gave us chocolate mints. Heard good things from my roommate so I biked from dixie to get here. Expectations were high and it did not disappoint. Super fast service, amazing food with good prices. Tried Tiki Island after reading a great review online. I hadn't been here in years and I am so glad I came back. I ordered the rice noodle bowl with shrimp tempura. Everything was flavorful, and I loved the sauce that came with it. I only wish I would have asked for an extra side of sauce, I couldn't get enough. I loved the tempura veggies, especially the yam! I also ordered the island fries and they were really good, next time I'll ask if I can get all sweet potato fries. They were the prefect combo of sweet/salty with the fry sauce they have!
