I trained here in kickboxing/MMA 3 days while on vacation and enjoyed each day. The coaches are so welcoming, funny, and attentive, and really walk around to help each student to help with technique. There is also conditioning as part of the classes so I worked up a good sweat. They also offer kids classes and it was cute to see the kids train since they were learning MMA and laughing. I tried it…read moreout when I moved to Kauai after it was recommended to me by my Oahu school, Gracie Technics (Rylan Lizares). I'm a pretty small female, and there aren't many other girls at the school, but all of the guys have been really kind & welcoming. I've learned A LOT in a really short amount of time, and am stoked that they are starting to offer more classes in the mornings and on weekends. The reason I prefer KTI is because of its Gracie affiliation; they specialize in self defense for real life situations, not just rolling/competitions. I highly recommend this school and hope that more females come and check it out!

He introduced us as visitors from CA and with tru Hawaiian spirit, the fellow grapplers showed us love and were very welcoming. The class was FILLED with purple belts. I've never seen so many in one room at a time, except for competitions. The training was very technical and easy to follow. The specific training was on point and the 5-min sparring rounds were the icing on the cake. If I lived here, this would be my gym. Mahalo!
