We love HHH. Even better, we trust them. We have worked with Ed both times and he was so sweet and kind, not to mention efficient and hard working. He fixed a plumbing issue for us and then installed several fixtures. He explained everything as he went, and cleaned up any mess (plaster dust, old screws, boxes, etc) before he left. My elderly stepfather backed into his mailbox and knocked it down. While he and my Mom were able to purchase a replacement box and post, they needed somebody to dig a new hole and install it. I hired two guys from Handy Handsome Husbands in Marin to wash all the windows inside and out in my house and to clean out the gutters. They arrived, one guy's name is Rubin...the other I don't know, they both arrived at 8:30 am and started working right away...it is a difficult job...I have windows all around my 3 thousand sq. ft. house...and they had to climb on top of the roof to clean the Solar panels...they took a break for lunch...otherwise worked all day until 4:30 pm. I personally would not recommend HHH to my friends and family. My wife and I hired HHH to demo and install some backsplash in our small condo kitchen. The gentlemen that did the work were hard working and the end result looked great. However, the management and the communication of the project was unacceptable. Management tried to charge us for the time vs the bid that was given to us for the whole project. And when we pushed back the management was condescending, combative and rude. They left the project unfinished without any kind of communication, hoping we wouldn't notice, and when we asked them to complete it they tried to charge us for the time to come out and finish the remaining work. The whole experience was incredibly unpleasant and I would recommend hiring another company. read more

But when he heard what was troubling me (a demonic hardwire smoke detector), he came over IMMEDIATELY, squeezing me between appointments in order to save my sanity over the weekend. He quickly took care of the smoke detector, but the chirping persisted, which led us on a wild goose chase, but the entire time he not only stayed with me on the hunt, he was patient and kind and generous to boot. Very efficient, professional, and capable. Got the job done well under the estimated time, but were thorough down to vacuuming the last packing peanut crumb. Specific job was removal and installation of a gas oven/range. But my impression is that this was a low bar for their level of expertise and they could handle much more. "Handsome" is debatable, but that's in the eye of the beholder. Recommend that you give them a call and decide for yourself. read more

I called and spoke to Jason when I needed help switching out a smaller mounted TV for a larger model. He was able to send his tech, Damien within 45 mins. My larger TV was switched out and mounted in less than 1 hour. I was super impressed because I called a few TV installation companies and a few other local handyman services in Marin and they were way too expensive and slow turn around. The guys did a great job! I was able to get an appointment the same week I called. They arrived exactly on time. They were very efficient and did A LOT of work in two hours time - repaired 4 doors that would not close (including one that they had to completely remove and shave a little off the bottom), hung a large, heavy mirror, and completed a small fence repair. If a Leer Jet is to luxury, my Moms mobile home is to an aluminun can. Not just any aluminum can but the new ones, the ones that feel like a thin film of foil, but it's her little place and she loves it. It had come to her attention that the vent that disperses air through her lovely abode was about to fall on her head. Of course, being as I work for Comcast, the garbage company, im also a contracter and whatever else my Mom thinks I do, she comandeered me to peep game on this odd situation. Upon arrival, i confirmed it was about to fall and checked it out and deduced that the ceiling panel had become saturated with water, thus the anchors for the screws were not holding any longer. I left and shortly after arriving home I went to work on the old Internets to see what I could find. I messaged and called several places to no avail. I tried my hand searching a little farther away and moments after I used YELP to message several companies at once, i received an email from Handy Handsome Husbands. Things could not have went better after that. They are really good at calming one down due to their current situation and getting the job done. The boss had 2 dudes out there in 2 days to remedy the situation. From the beginning, our interaction with Stone was very friendly and professional and we knew we made the right decision. The handymen came to our property and communicated their schedule to us so we knew exactly when they were coming. They followed the mask protocol and looked at the requested jobs. Two handymen arrived to get a few items done for me, mostly electrical. I fully expected to have them buy 3-4 new lighting cans to replace the old ones. Instead they were able to fix the lights with some tweeks. They also fixed another lighting issue I had in the bathroom that I couldn't manage myself. All in all, a very productive and quick visit! Not only did Handy Handsome Husbands answer the phone - which was itself a change from other handyman services we have contacted - they were able to send a handyman over the same day. In response to your reply to my complaint: First on all, the receipt clearly states that I was charged the two man rate and I was never informed of the one person rate, I was just told he would adjust that to the one man rate and any reasonable person would assume the one person rate would be half the two person rate unless otherwise told. You have acknowledged the overcharge by offering, in writing a credit on future services but you won't return the amount you over charged . It was also required that I pay the balance with a check to Peter Davidson instead to the company (which he went and cashed immediately) I'm assuming to avoid reporting taxable income. Totally unprofessional. The worker he did supply appeared knowledgeable and seemed to do good work, I had no problem with him but I can't do business with a company that has as I believe and what was my experience a deceptive employee managing the affairs of this business. read more

I just had my first experience with HHH. They arrived on time and were personable and professional throughout the time they worked at my home. The end result for the various tasks that were completed looks neat and professionally done. Unfortunately, I cannot give them a five star rating this time around. The work took much longer to be completed than it should have. It also cost me more time, money, and frustration than it should have - not due to unrealistic expectations on my part. Most of this could have been avoided if the crew that was initially sent out had the proper knowledge and experience to complete the tasks. That's not on the guys who came out, but on the person who sent them. HHH - You have some really nice people working for you. Despite the challenges, everyone was very courteous and professional throughout. They all represented you very well, especially Damien (aka: "Superstar"). This started out well, had a rocky middle, but ended well. HHH worked with me to resolve the issues that did come up, and I will consider using them again in the future. read more

A couple of days ago, I posted a detailed, factual review of a poor experience with this company (everything from them not showing up on the scheduled day, to the work being done incorrectly, to billing issues). Since then, I have received multiple messages from the company requesting me to remove my review because it is negatively impacting their business. They have acknowledged and agreed that they messed up with us, which I appreciate, and they have assured me that our experience was not typical, that there were extenuating circumstances at our time of service, and that they will be making appropriate changes to avoid these issues in the future. I certainly hope that this is the case and give them the benefit of the doubt in that regard. Their many, many 5-Star reviews certainly speak to that point and I truly wish them success in the future. However, I am simply editing my review rather than removing it, and I hope that they can understand that Yelp is a platform meant to share a range of experiences - not just the positive ones. read more

We had Handy Handsome Husbands replace a facia board on half of the gable end our 70 year old ranch style house. They were able to match the other facia board on the opposite side of the gable. Nothing is straight, level or plumb on an older house so it takes extra care to get it right. We are very happy with the way it turned out. When the crew arrived, they couldn't go with plan A because of some unique construction techniques used in my 70 year old attic space. Stone's #1 guy, Arturo, recognized this right away and before even the guys finished unloading the trucks Arturo had a plan B that would work with my attic and solve my ventilation problems. Estimate given was fair until they wanted to replace with new unit. Garbage disposal was leaking because prior person who worked on unit did not put unit back as needed. Did not need new garbage disposal only $16.00 part from Home Depot. This is a rental unit in San Rafael and i decided to drive up from LA to replace gasket. Far cheaper than est. $300 it would cost me. Did not need to be sold on a replacment unit. Also as a follow up to your response. The disposal unit was new and was install by our prior management company last Feb. My drive up there was to quickly resolve tenant,s concern quickly.
