The double pane glass on my sliding door was beaten with different items from my patio, very early morning on the Saturday before labor day. The outside panel of glass crumbled in several areas, but the inside panel was intact. After my upstairs neighbor and I talked with the police and they checked out our area, I thought I would be o k until after labor day to contact the glass co. The shock of someone breaking into my condo while I was dead asleep set in, and I began trying to find a handyman to board up the door. My usual company was gone for the holiday, as were a couple of other companies I tried before lucking upon Handy Handsome Husbands. Stone answered the phone and I explained what had happened. He told me he was fully booked, but promised me, (his words), he would get to me late in the day. I felt very confident after talking to him, and started to calm down and relax. Very soon after our initial conversation, Stone called me and said he was able to get to me right away. He came in and estimated the job would be 3 hours, and charged my card accordingly. He cleaned out the complete outside panel, swept up the glass and disposed of it, shopped for the plywood and installed it. He was very quick, efficient, caring and honest. After leaving, he contacted me and credited my card because it only took 2 hours. (This guy is NOT in slow motion) He's actually checked in with me several times to make sure I'm o k. I'm 70, so he wasn't chasing after a babe. He genuinely cares. Stone was a godsend. read more

I hired Handy Handsome Husbands today to do some work for me. I must admit part of the reason is because of their catchy name. I found them through Home Advisor. I spoke to the head man "Stone" and he was a delight to speak to. I let him know exactly what I wanted and he helped with the small details. His men were punctual and arrived on time. They were professional and courteous the whole time. They installed a new ceiling fan, an outlet on a wall that I will be putting a flat screen tv on, a porch light, a motion light above my driveaway and a Ring doorbell. They did an excellent job with each task and I truly appreciate there hard work. I highly recommend them to others and I will call on them again when I have future projects. Of course, it always happens. Our kitchen sink breaks down over the Fourth of July weekend! No plumbers respond to my calls. Except these guys. These guys were amazing! They came out within hours, went to Home Depot to buy a new faucet for us, and had us back to normal within hours. All courteous, professional and modest pricing. Highly recommended! read more

I needed a room air conditioner installed that involved a bit of carpentry. HHH responded immediately to my phone call and set up a assessment appointment for two days out. As it happened, the assessment was handled on the phone. I was told that the job would require two men, for 2 hours, @ $100/hr per man. I thought that to be a little pricey but decided to stay with it because HHH is local, and they sounded like they knew what they were doing. This could be a test case for future work with them. They immediately booked me for installation for the next day. Ruben and Andy showed up right on time, jumped into action, and had the work completed in not two hours, but 30 minutes! They were efficient, and obviously experienced. HHH charged me just $100, very fair and reasonable. Highly recommended!!! read more

I had a great experience with this company. I needed my windows to be resealed due to leaking and also leak on the roof. I wanted to get these fixes done before rain came and they came within the week. They did a great job and told me the job would be two hours and it was two hours. I hired Stone and his crew to haul a bunch of stuff away. He made the assessment then advised me he could save time, and thus save me money if instead of taking each bit of debris through the maze that was my back yard to my driveway to load in his truck, he would take my fence down and put it back. I am all about saving money and true to his word, the fence came down, the debris hauled and the fence went back up in a matter of hours and under estimate. Called and talked to Jason who was more than willing to meet me at 6:30am and help me with a new suitcase needing a couple of improvements. Ed from Handy Handsome Husbands did an excellent job on a small project in our kitchen. We needed a handyman who could pull our dishwasher out from under the counter, block up some openings behind the dishwasher that were giving critters access to the kitchen and pantry and then reinstall the dishwasher. Ed is a friendly, competent, conscientious professional. The price--$49 per hour for labour plus the cost of materials was quite reasonable. read more

They kept me informed throughout the (5 days) pod the project, including texts to let me know who would be arriving and when, also photos of progress. I wished I had found HHH long ago. I was putting my condo up for sale and had to get things done quickly. Not only were they timely and professional but finished all my jobs in the time frame that was promised. Stone was easy to communicate with during the whole process and almost always answered his phone and if he didn't he would call back within minutes. I not only had them paint my kitchen and living room, but he fixed an electrical issue in my bathroom and also hauled away things I wanted to get rid of or donate. It was great being able to hire one company to do so many different things and at such a reasonable rate and he threw in extras without charging. First, no one returned my call. After persistently trying, I finally received a call back. The guy was extremely arrogant. I was getting bids for work in my home and everyone was coming out to see the job. I prefer to meet the people I am hiring to work in and around my home. The guy I spoke to said they don't come out to give estimates, he literally said it was a waste of his time! I told him it's not a waste of my time!! He said they know they are good and they show up and do the work. I don't know if they are good or not and wanted to talk to someone to estimate how much the jobs would cost. They don't give estimates apparently as again, they go by time and material and repeated "he knows how good they are." Like so many of my friends and colleagues, we have been burned by people showing up without seeing the site and charging for time and material not well spent! I don't mind paying that way, but again, I do want to meet the person/people representing the work. I had bids on garage door replacement, new roof, new deck, new windows, landscaping, etc. The salespeople come out, see the job and bid on it. Their personality and trust is what starts the business relationship. If my husband talked to me the way this guy spoke to me, I don't care how "handsome" he may be, he'd be fired for sure!! Oh, the guy did tell me I could facetime with him to see what he looks like!! NO THANKS! Not hiring your looks, looking for someone professional who knows how to actually treat customers. This is an outstanding group of skilled workers. The name of the company put me off, i.e., are they taking advantage of "old spinsters" like myself? The answer is no, they're very helpful and my husband was never so handy! The men who worked on my project were quick, attentive, patient, and articulate. They're the best handymen I've used in over 35 years of nonstop redoing and repairing my homes in Marin. (We always bought an old fixer, spent years upgrading it, and then bought a better home. I called HHH and Stone Davidson answered the phone -- no voice mail (miracle #1). I explained my project and he said he'd be right over! Wow. Great response time. My project was to paint and install new shutters on our house. He and his crew were great. They came when they said they'd come (miracle #2). Did a great job. Were respectful and nice. After fixing the leak, they called me back and said it was their company policy to refund the money if it wasn't fixed the first time. I told them it wasn't necessary but they insisted and sent a check in the mail for a full refund. Very impressive and shows great integrity.
