I'm a DIY guy... but the task at hand was more than I really wanted to take on. Or to be more honest, what my wife referred to as exceeding the benefit of my life insurance policy! I called Nick at HandyBoyz. I am VERY glad I made that call. He showed up on time and was respectful of my property. Nick put a new roof on my Pergola for a a little less than half of what the awning company wanted. He worked fast. He did a clean job. He did exactly what he said he was going to do. It ended up being more work than he had originally thought, yet he kept true to his estimate. This my yelping friends is what is known as INTEGRITY. He is skilled and it is obvious that he has the experience to tackle virtually any home maintenance task. For example, at numerous points where there was a decision unto how to tackle a challenge during the job he conferred with me first. He offered me numerous solutions and allowed my input into how to approach each decision. His insight was important and I believe that if I did this job myself I would have struggled and would have ended up with an inferior final result. read more

Nick was just wonderful. Prompt, respectful, kind, smart and professional. No job too small and price VERY fair. He installed an electric bidet toilet seat that a plumber wanted over $300 to do. I said that was more than the bidet seat costs! Nick put it in for less than half that, took a look and helped with a broken door bell. I will call upon him again in the future. Very difficult to communicate with for even a quote. Initially responded to my Yelp quote request within a day, which was great, but after a few messages back and forth, couldn't pin down an exact time to meet. I gave my address and phone number and called him to leave a voice mail with the same info and no call back. Messaged again over a week later and no reply. I can't speak to the quality of his work since we never got that far, but it was frustrating to be left hanging. If he had just told me he was not available then I'd already found someone else to do the job rather than wait around for 10 days. read more

I highly recommend Nick for handy work around that house. Nick installed 3 ceiling fans and the ecobee thermostat. He did it within the time he planned. Nick is knowledgeable and made sure everything was working before completing the job. I recently moved into my new place and had serval questions around the house. Nick did an awesome job installing my Over-the-Range Microwave. It definitely wasn't an easy task with my very old kitchen (wall is half tile, the outlet was old and not in the right spot, etc), but he figured out how to make it work and I am very pleased with the result! I also asked him to do a couple other minor things when he was finished. I'm not sure what the going rate is for the work he performed, but it seemed to be a good rate. I will definitely be calling Nick whenever I need a "Handyboyz" help. (COVID Note: he also wore a mask the entire time he was here) Very highly recommend. read more

Great work! Nick arrived during the estimated time window and get two jobs done in under 2 hours. I had ordered a new stove and over-the-range microwave from Home Depot, along with installation. But, the installation guys had a hard time taking down the existing microwave (it was stuck, after removing the two bolts on top) and basically gave up, saying I would have to call a handyman (thanks, Home Depot). Additionally, the new stove would not slide back far enough because it was hitting the gas valve sticking out of the wall, and this prevented the dishwasher next to the stove from opening (it was hitting the stove). Nick got the old microwave down in short order and installed the new one. Then, he found a clever solution to the gas valve issue, allowing the new stove to slide back another inch, which gave enough clearance for the dishwasher to open. Price was reasonable, and he's a nice guy to boot. Would definitely use him again for future projects! read more

I hired Nick to do a few projects. We discussed the jobs and he determined he'd be able to finish them in a single day. After 4 hrs, he was still working on the first job but said he needed to leave to go to meet with another client. He tried to leave before the first job was fully finished but I convinced him to finish (although he was rushed and made some mistakes). He said he'd be in touch to correct the first job and finish the others. I followed up with him but he never responded. Would not recommend. read more
