Gary is our neighborhood handyman and I highly recommend him. He's punctual, conscientious, professional, and a great communicator. The biggest job he's done for us is refinishing and repainting the wrought iron on our balcony. The results were fantastic and exceeded my expectations. He also installed an instant-hot tank and faucet, hung shelving, cleaned out our dryer vent, and installed a camera doorbell for us. In addition to handyman services, Gary also has experience with sewing upholstery, and he re-zippered a couch cushion, and reinforced a baby carrier for us as well. He gives realistic time estimates, and will keep you updated on his progress. He's responsive and I love the fact that he lives right in the neighborhood. Gary is an artist at heart and cares deeply about his work, and it shows. Edit: I meant "dryer duct," instead of vent. It'd been almost 10 years without a cleaning, so there was an epic amount of lint in the duct, which is a fire hazard. read more

Found Gary on Yelp. Obviously never know for sure how authentic reviews are...including this one. We just moved into a new condo and needed the doors sanded and leveled so that we could play rugs on the hardwood floors. Reached out to Gary this morning and after telling him the assignment he told me he was pretty booked up and could help us at the end of the week. When I told him there was a sense of urgency he told me he'd check and call me back. Not only did he call me back but he said he could squeeze us in today and showed up within the hour. Most importantly, the quality of his work was incredibly professional and well done. He was quite pleasant, honest and again a solid tradesman.
