I originally gave Rick a one star, because we had a misunderstanding and we both got angry, but we both apologized and it work out well.

The broken-down seals were causing significant heat loss/gain and allowing bugsinside. After comparing quotes from several local companies and Costco, we chose Ameristar. The deciding factor was their reasonably priced door with a built-in doggie door for our two 70 lb dogs go outside to fo their thing. Other companies either didn't offer this option or quoted more than double the price. Our sales representative, Larry, was exceptionally knowledgeable and friendly. Scheduling and installation were quick and efficient. The installation team did a beautiful job. Apologies for the dirty windows/dog door, we've had them up a few months. After 3 months, the doors are holding up great. We will definitely be using Ameristar again when it's time to replace our windows.

The temperature in the south facing bedroom on a hot 90 degree plus day would always be nine degrees hotter than the rest of the house. I decided to replace not only the four windows in the south facing bedroom, but six other windows that can be viewed in the same field of vision from the street, to keep the aesthetics consistent. The replacement windows I selected are double pane argon gas filled to help keep the heat out during the summer season. I put out a bid on Yelp and narrowed the field down to two companies, Note I did not select the least expensive bid, but actually selected the most expensive bid. My reasoning was a solid five star Yelp rating, BBB A+++ rating and the knowledge and excellent follow up provided by the salesperson, David White. Other factors in my decision were silver coating on the glass to reduce the intense green hue that most argon gas filled windows exhibit and exterior window casings that are solid without decorative ribs that would collect dirt. I was provided with a detailed explanation of the process and same day estimate. The process from start to finish took five weeks. This would have been as little as two weeks if I did not have an arch top window. Curved windows take longer to build, at least for Ameristar. It took me a while to prepare the two rooms, so I was not in a big hurry. The installation was done yesterday. The crew was on time, polite, and from my view, was extremely careful and exhibited excellent attention to detail. The 10 windows were installed in one day. The crew cleaned up their mess very well and everything went according to plan. I am completely satisfied with the entire process. The windows are very elegant looking, not so green and make the house look better. I trust that the temperature in the south facing bedroom will level out with the rest of the house with the argon gas in the windows. Five stars all the way. Well done.

Walked into Ameristar Riverside where windows are manufactured, spoke with Martha, production manager, before estimate. Got a brief tour of facility Looked at window samples. Larry provided detailed explanations with precise estimate and answered all questions in timely fashion. Installation crew led by Francisco were excellent with flawless precision. Work was clean. Crew was professional, courteous and accommodating. New windows are like getting a new pair of eyeglasses and having 20/20 vision again. The outside views are clean and sharp again. Highly recommend Ameristar Windows when considering window replacement. Rating: 5-plus stars/AAA***** Love our windows! Mahalo, Ameristar Windows!!! Randy

Immediately after install, the gutters leaked. No big deal, as I imagine it happens from time to time. The issue is that they dodged my phone calls and emails repeatedly. They kept pushing back their availability for weeks at a time. Months go by and they're never available to come out and do a very small adjustment. They're usually not even available to return a call or email. We ended up having another contractor come to adjust the gutters. Paid out of pocket. Update: It seems necessary to provide a timeline of what is being referred to as "availability". I'd also argue that a "good install" is not one that has a leak in the exact same spot as the original system that caused damage to my deck. 08/02: We send initial email requesting adjustment 08/05: Stutzman response: Can send someone out after the 10th and will confirm a date later on. 08/11: No update from Stutzman. I send follow up email indicating that we're available this week as Stutzman indicated he should be available as well. 08/12: Stutzman response: We're out of town. Will follow up when back in office. 08/15: Stutzman response: Maybe available next week 08/20: We send a text message, no response 08/22: We send email asking for follow up 08/23: We call and leave a voicemail 08/26: Stutzman response: We're working on a job for two weeks. We can come out after that. I will reach out when I'm available. 08/28: We send email. No response 08/28: We leave a voicemail. No response 09/23: We leave a voicemail. No response 09/25: We send an email. No response 10/03: Stutzman response: We might be in your area next week. At no point was an actual date set in the two months that we attempted to get help. We either received no response from Stutzman, or were given the run-around. If Stutzman had simply set a date to come out, this issue could have been resolved, but no availability was ever offered. The 1-star review is indicative of a job that didn't solve our original problem and poor customer service. Both of which could have easily been handled and changed the outcome of this review.
