Ezekiel came out to give a free estimate and our part is very old( over 20 plus years old). However, he drove to his distributor and got the part and came back to install it since our product was very out of date. We had estimates from OTHER companies even "Discount" companies which I recognized soon the other company was gouging us. To replace a simple unit in the toilet the "Discount" plumber wanted to charge almost 500. I have done this myself but this was my mom's house and I live far away so I know there was no way it costs that much! And shower almost 600. estimate and which I already knew the diagnosis of hot water valve/cartridge replacement bc I dealt with the same issue before being a property manager. So I knew that this estimate was too much. ( Did Yelp review for others as well.) Also OTHER companies charged a 250. Minimum regardless what was being done-like what?! So I called other plumbers. And Hemi's Plumbing company ended up to be the BEST of ALL- Jamal( the owner) worked with me and helped my elderly mother. They were patient as I was dealing with this from afar. His TOTAL estimate was half the price of just ONE repair, let alone doing two repairs! He was honest and the price seemed more than reasonable for the amount of time and parts and even driving to get the part. So being a property manager, I am always looking for a good, trustworthy company that goes ABOVE and BEYOND! This company is fast and efficient, honest/trustworthy, with quality work and doesn't push you or try to gouge you! When I find great companies like this, I give a shout out bc they deserve it! Save yourself a headache, call this company FIRST and get your reasonable estimate! Support your local plumbing small business and a good guy! He will be my go to from now on! Mariano Lemus communicates well by both text and phone and was always responsive throughout the process. Visit #1 involved removing bathroom sink faucets so I could have my countertop repaired. During that same visit, Francisco evaluated a leaking shower valve in my guest bathroom. He explained that because of the age of the valve, there was a possibility the wall might need to be opened and the entire valve assembly replaced. However, he first wanted to try replacing the shower cartridges. On visit #2, the bathroom sink faucets were replaced, and Francisco successfully replaced both shower cartridges entirely from the shower side of the wall -- saving me thousands of dollars by avoiding the need to open the wall and replace the entire valve assembly. Visit #3 involved replacing a cartridge in an existing ROHL shower valve. Again, there was concern that if the old cartridge could not be properly removed, it might require opening the wall and removing tile to replace the valve. Mariano and Francisco were able to complete the repair successfully, replace the old cartridge, and now the shower works perfectly. I'm a retired construction superintendent/OSHPD inspector, so I understand construction means and methods and have a very critical eye for workmanship and attention to detail. Lemus Plumbing has experienced technicians who clearly know their trade and take pride in doing things the right way. They are knowledgeable, professional, efficient, and simply excellent plumbers. The team at Lemus was able to add the valve and match the appearance of the other plumbers, so I didn't have a Frankenstein monster of a plumbing fixture in my garage. They were very respectful of the property. I couldn't tell they were in my garage at first glance, until I saw the new valve. They also reset a toilet that our floor installer did not seat, and sent photos of the process. I finally have "my plumbing guy".

We hired United Pro Handyman (led by Ilya) in January 2024 for a remodel,…read moreincluding relocating an entry door, adding a partition wall, closing off a fireplace, removing built-ins, interior painting, and exterior stucco work. Unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing. The main issue arose with the exterior stucco work, which began cracking within days. Ilya sent his guy to fix the problem and his guy just applied another layer of stucco to cover the cracks! After one week, the cracks became evident and had worsened. My husband and I have decided to go with a different contractor to fix this issue. I had informed ILya about this and he initially agreed to reimburse us for a stucco patch. During this time, we decided to legalize the remodel. From the city inspection, we found out that the problem wasn't just superficial--underneath the stucco, we discovered improper waterproofing, incorrect lathing, and screws that did not comply with California code. This oversight could have led to much larger structural issues in the future. When I explained that this was not simply a patch job but required a complete redo of waterproofing, lathing, and screw replacements, Ilya became unresponsive. Alex, the manager, visited our site multiple times during the project in January and even guaranteed a one-year warranty, promising to provide a formal contract after we made full payment. Despite repeated follow-ups with Andrei, the estimator, we never received that contract. If you're considering United Pro Handyman, I strongly advise you to demand a binding quote or contract that includes all warranties before making any down payment. Be cautious of their "choice" between a 10% discount but you pay for the materials or no discount but they will shoulder the cost of materials--insist that they cover materials, especially for larger projects. They purchased unnecessary items, including insulation pads that were never used, resulting in a complete waste of money. As of today, our newly stucco wall is now ready to be painted. We passed all inspections and it feels so good to know everything was done correctly. We regret our decision to work with United Pro Handyman and recommend others proceed with extreme caution.
