The man on the phone is the worst ever. He made an ignorant comment about my driver, saying "yeah, I wouldn't give him my credit card, he seems seedy." Trash bag thing to say about someone you don't know. The sarcastic attitude is as foolish as him. Also, if you reserve on Uhaul and give them your card on the phone, you cannot charge that card. You will need a physical card to pickup and Hane will not take a card over the phone or through the Uhaul app or website or phone, so DO NOT SEND authorized drivers or movers. Terrible customer service, cashiers are greedy assholes and tried to charge me way more for a Uhaul reservation than I owed

This location has been in business for years. That is quite obvious from the looks of the store and how cluttered it may feel. According to my husband though, they dont disappoint. He said there isn't an item they dont have and if they aren't carrying it at the time of your visit, they're willing to order it. Parking can be a little rough due to how it's situation but there's enough to go around. CoVid protocols are enforced. read more

I am a girl's girl who feels compelled to write a glowing review of this hardware store. Yes. You heard me correctly. Not a shoe store. Not a clothing store. Not even a restaurant. I've been walking around with a screw that fell out of my freezer for months. The dolts at the Big Box Hardware stores had no idea how to help me get another screw. I went to return a piece of metal, since I didn't end up needing it. I used to be a frequent customer.. In this incident, a worker asked me if i remembered who sold it to me, despite having a receipt. The worker proceeded to give me attitude and a hard time, & did not want to give me a refund for the item. He continued to be rude and began to yell at me. I always like to support small business, but would rather take my money to home depot now, due to the poor customer service. read more

I've always liked True Value hardware stores for their old school feel and general usefulness in having about everything you may need packed in one place. This place doesn't let you down either. Had to make a metal rope "padlock ready" to lock up some of items I had but didn't have the tools to do so. The owner allowed his employee to fashion it for me, no charge, and I was grateful for it. While waiting for the task to be done I watched as the owner dealt with a difficult customer. He did a good job and the customer realized he didn't have a case. He wasn't happy but he was made aware. Not a bad skill to have. I was in and out in about 10 minutes. Had this been Home Depot I doubt they would have done this for me nor would there be anywhere near the customer service. Which is why I rather shop at the small business stores whenever possible. And the prices here are very decent across the board. I tipped the employee and left. 10 minutes later I had to come back and buy a chain as the rope was a tad too long. So now I have an extra bondage tool that could come in handy sometime. I needed a truck to rent. I got the truck and did what I had to do, upon returning the truck, I noticed a pair of USED, STAIN panties in the passenger car door. . When I returned the U-Haul, I told the guy who checks the trucks in and one of the managers about the NASTY panties, and they seemed like they didn't really care. Their answer was "Oh, we don't clean them." well I won't be going back. You would've thought they would give a discount or something, but they didn't‍. read more

As much as I love and try to patronize small businesses, sometimes you have no choice but to go to the big box commercial establishments. Let's just say for the sake simplicity that it's EXTREMELY hard to do business with someone with a "no refund" policy. Hane True Value Hardware is comparable to Home Depot but not as "corporate" which I like. I prefer a mom and pop feel when I purchase something. I also like that they have UHAUL there. If you ever come to this place ask for Rey. He has excellent customer service skills and will always go the extra mile for the customers. read more

I came to Hane's to get some keys copied and paint because it is close to one of my job sites. I cannot believe how friendly and helpful the staff was. DO NOT RENT A UHAUL FROM HERE!!!!!! The people in this establishment are nice and friendly greeting you at the door with smiles and cheer as long as you are only buying hardware supplies. This location also rents U-haul trucks. You must sign a contract that states they get to charge a 100.00 late fee. That is 3 to 5 times the amount you pay to rent the truck itself. Late fees are sometimes required but this amount is absorbent. No other location does this, U-haul themselves don't charge this amount. U-haul charges just the extra day. Hane hardware charges an extra day and 100.00 dollars. If you need to rent a Uhaul, don't rent from a subcontractor especially not from here. Rent only from an actual U-haul place. You will get screwed otherwise. read more

This is suppose to be part of a community store and i feel it takes advantage of the locals that want to purchase something quick without going to a farther location like home depot where prices are way more convenient. It is not bravely hills so please stop trying to make the most out of the locals who for most part earn the minimum wage. I stopped in for some hard to find metric bolts. I'd been to many places and finally someone recommended this store. I was greeted at the door and was taken right to the bolts I was looking for. I was very surprised with their bolts selection and that someone actually helped me here. Everyone was very friendly and If it hadn't been for the fact that I was so interested in everything they had I would have probably been in and out of there in less than 5 minutes. My family and I rented a Uhaul from here a couple of weekends ago and had a very good experience with them. The staff were friendly and helpful. The vehicle was clean. And the whole process of renting with them was fairly simple. We reserved the truck on-line the night before and went to pick it up the morning we needed it. I was also able to buy packing supplies and was very grateful for the discount I received. This place was so convenient that I even returned during the day of the move for more moving and packing supplies as I ran out. Moving is a pain, and it was nice to have this aspect of the move go so smoothly. read more
