Another wonderful visit to Fallbrook Winery this past weekend. This winery offers seating on an outdoor patio and deck with beautiful views, or cozy tastings in the main tasting room, as well as deeper into the "cave" which has bar height tables. They don't sell food, but they often have pop-up vendors visiting, or you're welcome to bring your own munchies. Autumn, the Tasting Room Manager, is usually pouring their wines which are well made, balanced, and offer something for everyone. Their tasting menu always offers choices of slightly dryer, acidic white wines, or medium and full bodies reds. We were wine club members for a couple years and love the benefits of free tastings and 20% off their already reasonable bottle prices. They're also very flexible with the requirements of the club shipments, allowing you to skip as necessary. I highly recommend you visit this winery and experience their wines and hospitality for yourselves. I absolutely love coming to this winery. It's so quaint and lovely and set up and just the right way where it's not too much, but still has plenty of open seating and beautiful views. Their bubbly rosé is my absolute favorite wine of any I've ever had. They have a great selection, so it makes winetasting very fun, they have indoor seating, which feels cozy and intimate or outdoor seating on the patio, which has really nice views. Some people might prefer a larger or more busy in Winery but for people like me, who just want a relaxing, quiet place to hang out with friends, this is one of my favorite. Tried Fallbrook Winery for the first time yesterday for a tasting on my wife's birthday. As we pulled in to our parking spot, Cooper the dog greeted us, and escorted us to the entrance for the tasting room, then went back to his bed. Nice touch. Then, Janay greeted us for our tastings, and took very good care of us. We discovered that we were from the same area in Playa del Rey / Westchester, and had lots to chat about. She really knew the Fallbrook wines, and steered us to the right ones for our palate. She's an excellent ambassador for the winery. We really enjoyed the Cab Franc, and their BDX Blend, and purchased a couple bottles. We went on Thursday, mid-afternoon, and there were only a couple customers. That was great for us (plenty of parking, fast individual service). If you go on the weekend, plan on it being busier. read more

The Fallbrook Winery was simply amazing! I made reservations about a year ago as an activity during a 4 day bachelorette and bridal shower retreat I hosted for my daughter and her bridal party. There were 12 of us. PROS: - We had the private room. It was perfect! - The Winemaker himself, lead the wine tasting and gave us the tour! This was such a treat. Eaun was so generous with his time. He understood I didn't want the girls to 'just drink', but rather understand the art of wine making and the passion that flies into it. Eaun hit a home run! - The wines were incredible! Love the wines here! They don't make me feel weird like many wineries' wines do. And they taste like good mature wine should! I love sitting outside - the setting is very peaceful. But if there are many people there, it gets loud (whether on the deck or inside) because the seating is not very spread-out. The service is perfect for Fallbrook. Low key, and very friendly. This is such an amazing winery! They have a dog that greets you when you walk up named cooper that is so precious. The ladies gave amazing recommendations regarding what we liked due to us getting the wine tasting. It was 33 each for 6 wines online. They don't serve food here so it is recommended to bring your own snacks which I thought was really great! It is nice and quiet and intimate and they have both inside and outside seating. This gorgeous spot is not very easy to find (we got lost twice) but absolutely worth the drive. First off, the staff are very friendly and welcoming. They have a very simple set up in which you come up to the bar and either ask for a glass, a bottle, or a whole tasting with any wine of your choice (they have flawless recommendations as well), and then you take it to wherever you'd like to sit. The patio is great, with views of vineyards and rolling hills, and lots of space to accommodate big groups. The best part is that you can bring your own food (I don't think they serve any), so we gladly laid out a hefty spread to go with our wine flight. The place was so nice that we didn't realize we had been there all afternoon. We would definitely return when we come to town again. read more

Love, love, love this place. My brother took us out here. It's one of his favorite wineries. We did the wine tasting and sat outside on the deck. They allowed us to bring our cheese and crackers. There were only a few other people out and so it was quiet and peaceful. They have a dog on the property that is so sweet. He sat under our table the whole time. It is a small winery but so cozy and comfortable. It was a Sunday afternoon and like I said, I only remember three other parties. One was there when we got there and the other two came later. I tried the white wines and found them to be crisp and easy to have a little too much. The next time I visit California, I am going to have my brother bring me here again. Based on a recommendation from our Air BnB hosts (especially since they gave us a wonderful bottle of Fallbrook Winery wine) we decided we had to visit this winery especially since we were staying in Fallbrook. We only noticed the night before our planned visit they prefer reservations, but since we really wanted to go we called as soon as they opened to see if we could still do a tasting that day. They said sure and we were on our way. The winery is beautiful and the drive through their vineyard to get to the tasting area was spectacular. Once we figured out exactly which area was the tasting room we were greeted by Michelle who was fabulous. She took great care of us and answered all our questions not rushing us at all and even allowed us to bring in some bread to eat with our wine. All the wine we tasted was great (so much so I ended up joining their wine club.) I also loved that they actually had for sale wine barrels for only $80. Michelle was great and actually let us borrow her tape measure so we could measure our vehicle to see if a barrel would fit and since it would we went home with one. We also got to meet the resident doggy, Cooper, who was very friendly and so sweet. All in all our visit was great and if you get the chance to visit this winery you definitely should. We will definitely be back when we are in the area again and can't wait to keep enjoying their wine. read more

I had a work day off and my sister (that I was visiting in Fallbrook) had to work and I originally planned to drive to Temecula to try some wine until she told me that there were wineries close to her house. So I set out with intention of visiting at least two but then I never wound up leaving this one because the grounds were so beautiful and the wine was so tasty. I found a place easily following GPS although towards the end, follow the Winery signs as a post to GPS because my GPS lost the signal a little bit and I would not have found it. It did mention that usually appointments are needed for tasting but during the week fortunately sometimes you get lucky and I did! Granted, I'm not usually out winetasting at 10:30 in the morning, but I was happy that they were open when I went! I originally went in with a plan to buy a mix red blend and then the employee said "Which red blend?" So he offered to give me a taste of one which I then decided to just turn into a full on tasting. I had a lot of fun tasting wines with names I had never heard of. I learned that here we name our wines for the blend or grapes and in Europe they name their wines for the region. They do not offer food at the winery to go along with the tasting so bring a picnic with you and there are plenty of beautiful spots and patios outside with covered tables and a breezy, sunny view of the vineyard and avocado trees. The guy who is pouring the wine at the inside tasting bar is super friendly and knows a lot about the different wines. I loved that I didn't have to deal with crowds. I bought a bottle and will be back! read more

We went to Fallbrook Winery on the weekend and found the tasting room very welcoming and busy. We both chose different wines for our tastings so we actually both tried 12 wines total. Overall the wines were very good with the grapes being the star of the show. I was especially impressed with the Italian wines they bottled and we actually took a few bottles home. I find their wine to be the best local wine, they have a some crisp whites and some strong cabs. They're old school in the fact that they pour great sized tastings so you can actually enjoy them. AND they allow you to picnic, so I highly recommend a charcuterie board to pair nicely with your wines! The tasting room itself is fairly small so I do recommend making a reservation for a larger group. Dogs are welcome on leash as well.
