My favorite breakfast place and good for lunch too. Planes often park right outside and pilots from all over eat here. Lunches are excellent too. Daily specials with the chili verde omelette on Saturday mornings has been my regular choice for over five years. Went in on a Sunday morning and sat down right away. Been told this was a good place for breakfast! Well I was well informed. I don't think there is a lot "homemade" but the food tasted fresh and made to order. Our server was friendly and efficient and the atmosphere is friendly and easy going. Small place, my favorite kind. Really good biscuits and gravy. One of the best Apple Fritters I've ever had. Home made and served with whipped cream. Big enough for 2 people. Their staff hasn't changed much over the few years I've been going there, so it must also be a great place to work. I went out to Hemet to see my grandmother, she's in a nursing home. I have a friend that also lives out there, and he'd suggested this place. When I pulled up, I thought being so close to the Hemet-Ryan airport, seeing all those planes was pretty damn cool. The service was pretty good. I could tell the waitress knew my friend and I were engaged in conversation so she left us alone but we did pause and she did come over and take our order. We both had the B-52 dog which was amazing. I don't recall having a hot dog quite like that. Eat it by hand? Forget it. It's huge, use a fork and knife. I think this place closes between lunch and dinner, if I'm not mistaken. read more

Great food and atmosphere. Hubby and I frequent airport cafes and this has to be the best! We go at least 2x a month. I have to say that the muffaleta sandwich is my favorite. We were excited to try this place as it had such good reviews. The guy that took our name for the short wait was very nice. Once we got seated the coffee was promptly poured by a nice gal too! Then we waited....and waited. Another table was seated next to us and the guy who we didn't realize was a 'waiter' came to take their order and mention a special. We then told him we had been here before they sat down and he said he hadn't noticed us. Really?? Not like it's a huge place. Our friend who is a pilot took us to this lovely little hidden gem today. First of all, if you are dieting.....don't go here. The food is tasty, comfort food, we had a B-52 hot dog, my husband and I split it and it was totally enough to fill us up but we had room for that home made apple crisp pie......I died and went to heaven while eating this...OMG. I frequent the place often. I have a plane at the airport and find interesting people, planes and motorcycles all the time. The food is great and the menu has something for everyone, not just some greasy spoon. The help is friendly and sometimes Bambi the owner breaks out in a song. Airplanes park in front and can be seen landing and taking off. Bring the kids! read more

On Sat 6/23/12 I was part of a 99's fly-in of four planes and about 8 great women. We were seated almost as soon as we arrived. Food was good! Service excellent, friendly, helpful, staff. Small place but big character. Super convenient plane parking. Definitely worth your money and time! read more
