The Big Bear airport Pilots Association flies out to breakfast nearly every Wednesday morning and Hangar One Cafe Cafe is one of our favorites. The service is great, the staff are super friendly, the prices are extremely reasonable and the food is always excellent. I've had a cheeseburger here before and it was excellent but yesterday I ordered the "Hangar Burger" and I have to tell you it was out of this world, one of the best hamburgers I've ever had. You'll need a big mouth because this thing stacks high and you won't leave hungry. I think it was only 10 bucks. I highly recommend this on the menu. Nice little cafe at the Hemet Airport. I've lived in Hemet for 16 years, and this was my first visit. I always thought it would be harder to get to, but it's right there! The breakfast was basic with smaller portions, but tasted good. You could tell there were a lot of regulars there. The wait staff was nice. We will be back! read more

I was so excited about writing a review of this place. I've lived in Southern California for over 40 years and had never been to Hemet. I checked yelp and found this place, located at the Hemet airport. Totally adorable in a kinda 50's way. Small cafe with traditional cafe menu. Charming folks greet and serve you. I ordered a Patty Melt which was excellent. I love their rye bread! Quick service and you can watch the small planes take off and land. They have an outdoor area, too, so it's a great place to enjoy a sunny brunch! Highly recommended and I hope I get another opportunity to return! read more

We were in the area and looking forward something different to eat. We got to the Hangar One Cafe. We walked in and were impressed with how busy it was. It was about noon so decided to order lunch. We ordered a club sandwich and a bacon cheeseburger. Every other person in the place was eating breakfast and we should have taken a clue. I really liked the onion rings. Super good and tempura type batter. The club was good. It was turkey and bacon. I wish the bacon was a little thicker. We also got the burger. That alone was nothing to write home about. It tasted and looked like a fast food type burger. We will definitely try thing place again but will go forward breakfast. Seems to be the claim to fame. Another customer we were talking to said she flys on her plane to come eat breakfast here... so, we will try that next time. read more

This is a cute place with great food. We arrived an hour before close and they were out of a few things we wanted, but that just means we'll have to come back and try them! The burger was really good and had lots of cheese! Yum! I normally don't order burgers, but I ate my kiddos leftovers and it was amazing. I had the Irish melt and it was flavorful. What a gem. This place is a little hidden and I have probably driven by it at least 50 times and I had never noticed it. It does not sit on the Main Street but is just off the main road and you have to enter the road to the airport to get to it. The food is always good. I have been several times and meet friends here. We have always been delighted with our order. The wait staff is far above average and out of their way nice. You feel welcome the minute you open the door. What a cool little place this is. Lovely people and a very homey atmosphere. Service was fast and the food was great and cooked as ordered. No greeting or hello when you go in. Didn't get acknowledged upon entering. We didn't know what to do as far as seating so we are just standing there for 5 minutes until we stood by a dirty table and got attention. There is no sign to direct you. I at least get a friendly greeting at Walmart. Carpet on the floor!?..why?? Who has carpet on the floor anymore these days...ewe. One just can just imagine how much grease, dust, bacteria, dirt and grime, food, insects, mold, allergens, and everything else that clings to the bottom of your shoes and then on to the carpet and into the fibers.....and depending on how long it has been there....well...my mind is too imaginative as to the amount. Don't go in there barefoot. The setting is fun and the chatter of people having a good time is a good feeling for me. It's especially nice to sit outside because of "the vid". The food is A-OK+. Do have to say that the biscuits are pretty darn good and their salsa is a good recipe. The usual breakfast fare looks all good. I shall go back on occasion and try to overlook the carpet situation because I love airport eateries and the experience and for people watching . Please make people feel welcome (to owner). You are in the hospitality business after all. So just land your plane and pull up right to the entrance and have yourself a nice time...just like we did. read more

Simple. This is a basic cafe. It serves good food and has good service. Nice place to bring dogs. I took my two there. We watched a few planes land and take off. I had an egg salad sandwich and ice tea with a side a bacon for the dogs. This is not your fav brunch place. This is not your trendy hot new place with avocado toast options. This is a typical old style cafe with a fun nice salty wait staff and good food at a fair price. They had a nice breeze today and the patio was handicap friendly. Also I enjoyed the hummingbird feeders in view with almost seamless counts of birds gobbling the red juice. It's a nice place to chill and just chat with an old friend. read more
