I have a prescription for compression stockings that allows me a refill after six months. The supply place I originally went to (ForMotion Clinic)for my first pair now doesn't want to order my refill because of lack of staffing??? So they told me to call Hanger. I told Hanger my situation and they made me an appointment several weeks out. A couple days before the appointment they called me and told me that I had to get my oncologist who had signed the prescription to send them medical records!! I told the gal who called me that I thought that was her job but she insisted I had to do it. I called the oncologist's office who promptly told me that they needed more specific information about DOS and fax number etc and that it was not my place to be doing this and to call Hanger back and tell them to call the doctor's office themselves for specific info of exactly what they were looking for. I did exactly that and when I called back was directed to a voicemail where I left a message to that effect. 24 hours before my appointment I received a text from Hanger saying that my prescription was no good because it had 2025 on it. When i explained that i was just trying to get my refill and that the prescription was still valid because it was less than a year old, i was told that i would need a new prescription signed by my provider before my appointment the very next day!!! I was told by Marquis that this is their office policy! Really??!!! Hmmm... Needless to say, I cancelled my appointment and do not plan on returning to Hanger for ANYTHING, God willing! And then stores wonder why people turn to online shopping!!! Maybe an online medical supply store would like to help me?? ‍ read more

My initial visit at this Hanger location here in Vegas. I utilized their services in Washington state with favorable results. Came in for custom orthotic inserts to be made. Very impressed with Charlene who took the measurements. This was a cash pay situation and was impressed with the $300 cost. I say this because I recently went to another place to have $450 cash pay inserts made. They were made incorrectly per my physician order and should have been covered by my insurance. When I showed Charlene the $450 inserts, she said they were made for diabetes which I am not. So, once the new inserts arrive, I will update my review. Very impressive first appearance. read more

Skip this place if you're looking for a prosthetic leg that fits even a little. This place is a joke & can't make legs to save their lives. I had 5 legs with this company and none of them fit other than a check socket that "sort of" fits I've been wearing for over a year because this facility can't make any other legs correctly. I kept having to go back to the check socket after mistakes were made over and over again. Each & every time I would go into this place the experience got worse & worse. I was given a leg that had suction AND a pin in one leg m. Of course the leg did not work as this isn't even a possibility in a leg. Another leg they brought in to me with prosthetic leg stuck off to the side of the ankle/foot with a piece of metal so nothing was even, and prosthetist Salim legitimately wanted to send me home with the horrible contraption they had come up with. 2 other legs had failed valve stems that never did suction properly, which has left me with a whistling leg so loud it wakes members up in the house if I have to put the leg on in the middle of the night. No suction means the leg always pistons and does not fit properly. Very uncomfortable. The one pin lock system they had me in felt as if I was walking on a pin all day long, and was unwearable, and caused sores to my stump. The prosthetist talks a big game and spouts how he is the world's best prosthetist. Yet fails to even measure legs properly. I had to go back on multiple occasions to have him adjust the height of the leg. He would tell me that there was "no possible way" the leg could be the wrong height because he himself made sure it was perfect. When we urged him to please get a level to check, the leg was 1.5" height difference. Another time I had to purchase more material for my prosthetic leg to be made since the leg they created with a pin locking system & suction system could not function. I had to pay extra to buy/ship the material to them on top of already purchasing the material the first time around. I stuck it out with this company for two years thinking that one day, the prosthetist's claims of being the "best" prosthetist available would come true. This never occurred. Each consecutive appointment was a disappointment & it became a joke in our household not to get any hopes up about a leg working out since each visit was worse, and worse. We ignored the inflated ego, and patiently awaited a leg that would even vaguely fit, and unfortunately, it never did happen. I would have been satisfied with a leg comfortable enough to wear 2 hours a day. Valve failures, legs being built incorrectly, working parts not being in-stock/available, & a lack of a simple ability to listen to a patient's concerns & just talk over them and tell them there is no possible way the patient's own experience as an amputee is true since you the prosthetist know/are the very best the prosthetist the industry has to offer. Hanger Clinic is a renowned business, yet this location is suffering terribly in basic skill/education on how to build legs, and the very basic skill to listen to patient concerns. I received my medical records and not once was it notated all of the horrible screw ups this place has made. Rather Salim (prosthetist) noted that again, he is a great prosthetist and it is the client's fault the legs haven't worked. Which is sad, since I have no control over building legs with a pin lock/suction combo, I have no control over all of the failed valves, and I certainly have no control over a prosthetist not willing to listen when I say there is a height difference, and am told "there is no possible way I made a mistake." In a clinical setting, it is important to listen to client concerns. I hope this prosthetist learns to check his massive ego for future patient's well-being. (If you're the best, you don't need to tell everyone you are the best. Your work will speak for itself. Just sayin'.) Hopefully Hanger Clinic will do better and pay for continued education for the folks who make legs in this location, and perhaps they will have a gentle talk with their prosthetists about listening to client concerns. Yesterday I went to the Hanger Henderson clinic. I needed to be fitted for a foot boot as a result of my tibia fracture. It was there I was warmly greeted by Jennifer. She smiled a lot and was very friendly. I later saw technician Chelsie Rodgers who fitted me. She was outgoing, friendly, personable, and fun to talk to! Disorganized and not very helpful. We were waiting for a customized back brace that was supposed to be ready within a couple of days. Two weeks later, our doctor got a hold of this company with us on the line, and we were told by the representative to come pick up the brace. We get to their office, and they tell us we can't just "pick it up" and that we should have never left the hospital without out it (nobody ever contacted us to let us know it was ready). We went home, and then they called us back to go get it. To make a long story short, we ended up having to come out of pocket for a bulky piece of uncomfortable crap back brace because this company dropped the ball. read more

Wow what a breath of fresh air this place is for my brother. We took him here because this is where he gets his braces fixed in Virginia as well as when he lived in California. He was having some problems with the rivet missing and one of the bars are really sharp digging in his leg. From the time we walked in everybody was very nice and very accommodating. I have to say Jeffrey was so great with my brother and taking care of his braces. He was also able to get the high top shoes we have been looking for forever for his braces since the hanger in Virginia said they could not get them anymore. Apparently all hangers are independently owned and aren't able to order the same things as other hangers. Finally after about five years of wearing low top shoes that are not great for him to walk in we finally have a resolution. I highly recommend if you have any orthopedic issues you definitely go to this location. I want to personally thank Jeffrey again for taking such great care of my brother and I can't wait to go next week to get the molding of his feet for his new custom made shoes. read more

First of all, thank you Hanger Clinic for having a location in Vegas, Thank You for giving our veterans and disable person the gift to walk again, to be able to feel full again :) I made an appointment, make sure you come with an order from your primary doctor. They open from 8am to 5pm Monday through Friday. Office is near Flamingo and decatur. My dad is a Veteran from the Vietnam war. He stepped on a Anti Personnel bomb and lost his right leg below his knee back in 1970. Horrible war like all war but Lucky and Blessed my loving dad is still alive. Sandeep is the prosthetician at Hanger in Vegas (sorry if I misspelled it). The GREAT thing is that they do everything locally!!!! Sandeep asked a lot of questions to better analyze my dad habits, way of life... they have multiple options, materials to fit the daily use of each patient. Even my dad wears a prosthetic he walks fast, at least 1h/1h30 every day and love to garden! He even walk faster than me LOL After the "interview" Sandeep took some measurement of my dad amputated leg and prepared the material to make a mold of his "Cast". It's always so interesting to see the process. He drew on my dad leg before He applied and rolled the leg with some "long bandage" then wet it to make the mold. Took 10/15mns only. You can see how excited and happy my dad was! It was very emotional, being the daughter of a veteran I swear this kind of moment always bring me tears... Sandeep told us that he still need to submit the papers to medicare and the fitting prior to the definitive insert should be ready in couple days! I was like WOUAH!!! The fitting is to make sure even molding is done on the amputated part, the patient doesn't feel any discomfort, if they do, they can adjust during the fitting :) That was step 1 of the making of my dad New prosthetic :) To be continued... read more

I called my insurance company.. they were free.. only if you purchased the shoes that Medicare pays for, the inserts are free also.. Well.. don't let them UP-SELL you shoes.. they charge $1314.00 for "off the shelf shoes" with the inserts... (thats their description).. BUYER BEWARE. read more

We came here to see if my infant son needed cranial helmet therapy. I was beyond impressed with this doctor. He was great with my child, really took his time to examine and explain to me everything he was doing, and explained everything in a way I could understand. It is such a breath of fresh air to receive care, actual CARE from a doctor. For years it has always felt like we are rushed in and out of doctor's offices like we're faceless Walmart customers, but not this doctor. He made us feel like people, not just numbers. He was very honest about the severity of my son's condition, which I really appreciate. He's not out to just make a buck. We ended up not needing to move forward with therapy, but if we ever have a need for the services offered at Hanger Clinic I will certainly be back! read more

Recently, I needed to repair my brace which included replacing the leather and adding a pad to the attached foot plate. I didn't hesitate to make an appointment with Sandeep Rout, certified orthotist at the 4615 W. Flamingo location in Las Vegas. As a polio survivor, it has been a challenge in the past, to find an orthotist who understands the unique needs of a person with post polio since its eradication many decades ago. However, he obtained training fitting polio victims while living in India and has been able to apply his knowledge to those of us who are older and still require our braces to walk! Hanger gave my wife the poorest service possible. The brace they made did not fit. My spent the last month at Sunrise Hospital in their stroke rehab facility. The hospital determined that the reason she has been falling (seven times this year) was the brace itself. The hospital had been requested Hanger to come out and fix the problem at the hospital. They picked up the brace immediately but did net return it during her entire stay. Once she was released in a wheel chair, I became determined to locate and correct the issue. I contacted Hanger at the Wigwam location the said they knew nothing about it. Two day latter they found the brace in their office. At this point I request to have them come to our home and fit the brace, they refused and said I had to transport her to their facility, which I did not have the ability to do. The wheel chair will to fit in my car. Their response was that is not their problem. Eventually I borrowed a care to go them. I called them to let them know that we were running late for my husbands appointment. They said if we get there by 11 am they would take him. We got there 11:05 filled out one sheet of paper work probably 3 minutes. And waited to be called. We were told they were booked solid and yet we were the only ones in the waiting room. Another person came in and we noticed her appointment wasn't until 11:30 but still we sat there along with her until they called her after 11:30. From 11:05 until 11:30 there was no one sitting there waiting for an appointment. We we went to the window to let them know we were leaving the person opened the window and said oh, you want to reschedule? I told her no we would not be coming back to that office and also told her how rude they were. It's not like we didn't call them to let them know we were running late. If they live in Vegas they have to know how hard it is to get around with all the road construction going on. They had no right to treat us they way they did. We might be senior citizens but were not children........Period. We left there at 12:15 and still the waiting room was still empty, go figure. If there rude to everyone I can understand why there was no one waiting in the waiting room. I will never take my husband back there. read more
