Went to the Covina location. Horrible frustrating experience, waited 1 month for evaluation appointment then custom fit orthotics didn't fit , waited another month for fitting. they have only one person working in the office. Item was delivered to the office but they have no availability for appointment so they sit with the item . Reception desk sucks. First they say your insurance will cover 100% then flips around on the item pick up day and says 20% copay. Can't do simple paperwork had me call doctors office 3 times to get them the correct fax number. Just absolutely 1000% waste of my time. My baby waited 2 months for orthotics and this was the optimum time for her to walk. Please do your research and do not go to this place. read more

I have been using Hanger for years. I moved to Los Angeles and needed to get new orthotics but Medicare doesn't pay for it so I asked about paying cash and the woman I talked to said I couldn't pay cash for them. I contacted a couple other Hanger clinics and they said that I could pay cash. I even talked to someone else in this office and they said I could pay cash. This woman would not let me speak and gave me the usual answer that seemed like it was a stock response. I will be telling my podiatrist to send the order to another Hanger clinic. read more

Matt has a way of making a horrible situation into something you can confidently step into. I've had a horrible accident but with his guidance and expertise I've learned how to navigate better through it. All of the staff at cedars Sinai and California Rehab Center told me he was great but I had no idea. I don't think my socket could fit any better considering my circumstances. read more

Zach had an amazingly difficult task any daughter was diagnosed with stage four bone cancer. She was 15. She is in full remission and was unfortunately left with damage from massive damage from radiation that as left her unable to walk any longer. This office is an absolute mess. I brought my son in back in May 2024 for a consultation for a cranial band. The clinician told us it wasn't really necessary for him to get it BUT the insurance was covering 100%, so if it was his child he would do it. So we did. He wore it for a few week by June he was done. A few weeks later I received a bill from hanger Clinc for over $1,000. I called the office and was told I would get a call back, I never did. I received a second bill, once again I called them yet no one knew why I was getting billed. Finally someone calls me, leaves me a voice mail telling me to disregard the bill, it was an error from the billing department, so I believe them. A few weeks later I get a bill from a collections agency. I again call hangers clinic and I'm told I'll get a call back, NO ONE EVER CALLS BACK. I call again, finally some tells me "my insurance lied to them." But, because I followed up they will retrieve the bill from collections while we sort things out. At this point I'm so feed up with this place I call my insurance and have them call hanger. The next day I get a call back from my insurance, they explained what happened, and they tell me hanger has agreed to retrieve the bill from collections and workout something with me. Days go by, weeks go by, finally a month later I call hanger clinic again and they tell me my account is clean not to worry about it. I ask for them to please make sure because I don't want this to hurt my record. I get a call back Friday, turns out this bill is still sitting with the collections agency.Mind you, I have to repeat this story every single time I call this office. I asked to speak to the doctor in charge and I'm told I'll be getting a call from the manger by end of day....THEY NEVER CALLED. This has been going on since July, it's now the end of December. Make sure you do your research before coming in here. I would've never came to this office had I known how unorganized they are. I seriously don't know what to do at this point. read more

I had "hangar mobile " fit me for an AFO some weeks back in La Mesa. Long story short the thing got bounced back quite a bit. until by no small feat I located the order. Turns out it's finished and rather than deliver it to where I'm currently at they'll see it sent to Vista. This where it gets fun. i finally call this morning . Only to be told that the eta is now two weeks out. Upon explaining my plight to the front desk I am placed on hold only to be transferred to the worst customer service representative one could ever want. I cannot tell you how fortunate I feel to have found Hanger Clinic or rather they found me. Some little bird had let this organization know that I was about to undergo a double below the knee amputation. They were kind enough to meet me at one of my dr appointments and introduce me to one of their amazing advocates who also happens to be a paralympian. I was so touched and inspired by their desire to help inform me about me upcoming life changes I couldn't wait to get in and meet the team I would be working with. Two weeks before my surgery I was set up to meet my future prosthetist Ken. I went in for an appointment and got to ask all the questions I wanted about what to expect. He was incredible and made me feel so comfortable. I have now been working with both Ken and Matt for nearly three months. They always listen to everything I need and not only accommodate but they also advise and steer me in the right direction. (They have done this many more times than I have.) I now walk with two amazing prosthetics that always feel so great every time I leave their office. I know I can always call on them anytime I have an issue or concern and they will address it right away. Its important to have a great prosthetist you can communicate to and feel comfortable. To add a little more icing to the cake, the whole staff always smiles, says hi, and acknowledges my improvement. Plus Ken and Matt have made me two inches taller than I was before my surgery. On December 29, 2019 I suffered a massive stroke at the age of 37 that left me unable to walk. When my physical therapist recommended the Hangar for my KAFO brace I was excited and nervous. Jahir was awesome and down to earth and helped me realize I didn't need to be nervous but be positive and give the new brace a chance. If it not for the brace, I wouldn't be walking as well as I am today. Jahir offered to make adjustments when needed, and delivered on his promise in a quick and efficient manner and now my brace is an AFO since my walking has improved. The receptionist was not only lacking in intelligence, but also in courtesy. She got my name wrong, could not understand what I was saying and I almost hung up. They simply could care less about their customers. I wrote to my doctor and asked for a different referral. You would think a large company like this could do better. Why not spend a few bucks on receptionists that actually speak and understand English and at least attempt to provide some customer service. I do not recommend at all. read more

Tony and the front desk staff have been nothing but incredible. I feel welcomed and safe every time I enter their office. I brought my baby boy after a helmet referral and it was the best decision. Tony provided the education and support I needed to fix my baby's brachycephaly (flat head). Although my baby was in the "mild" range, Tony thought my son could still benefit from helmet therapy. Within 2 weeks of wearing it, I saw immediate results! My baby boy's head was rounding out beautifully. I can't thank Tony and the staff enough! This was the most frustrsiging and disapointing medical office experience I have ever had. I give one star for its cleanliness. That star should go to the cleaning crew. The reception staff are rude and incompetent. No follow up and clearly do not know how to follow instructions. They are clearly not a well run or constructive team. The other employees I had interaction with were not much better. Also rude. And I still didn't get what I requested after I did all the follow up calls to my doctor and the clinic. Not impressed with this clinic. My appointment started about 40 minutes late and the assistant who saw me didn't seem to understand what I really needed when he first came in the room. Oh did you have hip surgery and you need a brace from your hip to your toes? Uh no, I had knee surgery and need a knee brace... I sat in a stiff office chair which seems like a strange place for someone to be fitted when I can barely even bend my knee. Shouldn't patients be on a medical table? He did a decent job cutting the pads and straps for my actual brace, but the entire process was truthfully and bit strange and unprofessional. read more

Mr. Tony Morgan practically laughed us out of the office, but its not what you think! I noticed the sides of my 6 month old sons head were protruding a bit and when I mentioned it to his pediatrician he recommended we go see Mr. Morgan just to get it checked out and evaluated. We had not walked two steps into the exam room when he said my son could not be the patient because his head was perfectly fine. His bedside manners were incredible, he was very playful and friendly with my baby and made him feel very comfortable. He seemed very secure and knowledgeable with what he was saying and made me feel at ease with my concerns. We were there for less than 5 minutes! and said we had nothing to worry about because he would grow out of it. I would recommend him highly! read more

I was fitted for an elbow brace on 4/12. (It took weeks to get this appointment.) I was told that I would be able to pick up the brace within two weeks after being fitted. After I didn't hear from them for more than three weeks, I started calling and getting a runaround. At one point they told me that I had to email the therapist, who was seeing a patient, and the therapist would email back. Of course, he never did. After calling and calling for over a week, I finally got an appointment for Monday, 5/23. They just called to reschedule for Friday, 5/27, with no explanation. read more

I was referred here for orthotics after back surgery. had to be rescheduled several times, because the therapist doing my fitting is not there very often apparently. I made sure to ask, both on the phone, if my insurance was going to cover the inserts for my shoe, and was assured by several different receptionists/schedulers that yes, my insurance would cover the cost. when I finally was able to get to my appointment, which had to be rescheduled to another location, (I am almost 75 miles away from their office, btw) I was presented with financial responsibility forms. I asked point blank, did my insurance company authorize these or not? and was assured that they had pre-authorization for the inserts and that signing the forms was a formality, but required to proceed, so I signed. my gut told me that I should ask to see an authorization or just leave, but I didn't. turns out that I was on the hook for $279 worth of orthotics that are extremely uncomfortable- and yes, I TOLD the therapist that they hurt the day I picked them up. he insisted that I just needed to get used to them and 'break my feet in to them.' yeah, now I have a pair of almost $300 dollar shoe inserts that hurt, that I couldn't return because I was on vacation out of the country for almost the entire warranty period' (3 weeks). overall, a painful and aggravating experience that I have made sure to share with my surgeon at Cedar's who referred me to them read more

I brought my six month old son here for a DOC band after trying Cranal Technologies who wasted my time and was not up front about the insurance coverage. I was really impressed with Hanger Clinic especially Dr. Tony Morgan! From the start they were very professional, friendly and transparent about their pricing, insurance coverage and services. My son only had to wear the band for 6 weeks to our relief. When I joked to Dr. Morgan that my son really should get a certificate for all this effort, he returned from his office with one on the spit. I was both surprised and delighted!
