I am extremely disappointed with the way patient calls are being handled for your office. If you…read moreare choosing to use a call center to manage scheduling and communication, then it is your responsibility to ensure those representatives treat patients--especially veterans referred through the VA--with professionalism and respect. The current process is unacceptable. Patients are forced to answer excessive and unnecessary questions just to speak with someone in the actual office. Even when a transfer is requested, it often leads to yet another call center representative rather than someone who can provide real assistance. This creates unnecessary barriers to care and reflects poorly on your practice. At this point, I am requesting a copy of my medical file so I can transfer to a provider who is accessible and actually prioritizes patient care over call center protocols. I will also be reporting this experience to the VA, as veterans should not be treated this way when seeking care through referred providers. I strongly encourage you to reevaluate how your communication is being handled, as this level of service is unacceptable

Dr. Jordan S is a joke of a doctor, if you can even call him a doctor. Went in with 2 issues, an…read moreingrown toenail and ankle/calf pain. Disclosed to him that I had had plantar fasciitis surgery in the past, and praise the Lord, the diagnosis was in without even examining my foot and leg. He told me that he gets patients who come to him because of the "hacks" out there that should not be called doctors and gives me this amazing story of how it is one quick surgery, not even in my foot, that will cure all my woes. Does not even address the ingrown nail, by the way. He then tells me that I need a night splint, which, in this case, I did need a new one, so he leaves the room, and that is the end of him. Then comes the billing. Let me say WOW!!! These people literally falsified medical records to be able to charge me more. They tried charging me for a 45-minute visit when he was in the room for a total of 5 minutes. I actually timed it since he was running late, and I was getting ready to walk out before he finally came in. Then on top of that, they charged me for an x-ray that never happened, and him examining the x-ray again never happened. When I called them out on it, they said that they would remove the bloated and fraudulent charges. Guess what? Still there. I get two different bills from them each day. One of the bills still shows the x-ray and bloated charges, and the other has a credit for the x-ray, but somehow they are still the same exact price. Wonder how that happened? Maybe some magical billing change that they are trying to change codes to get more money. The funny part is I did not feel comfortable with this quack doctor, so I went and saw a real surgeon, and he ordered an MRI, and wouldn't you know it, I have a torn Achilles tendon and no sign of plantar fasciitis at all. I decided to keep my follow-up with this idiot just to see if he would own up to making a crazy diagnosis without doing the work, and this moron decided to tell me that I do not have a torn Achilles and that he specializes in foot and ankle issues. I should ignore what the surgeon for the AZ Diamondbacks says. What kind of loon would make these statements? A loon who knows he was called out and does not want to admit he is not in the practice to help people but rather to just nickel and dime patients and give bogus medical advice and exams. Do yourself a favor and stay away from Desert Foot and Ankle and see a real surgeon if you have issues. This practice is a bunch of scam artists. As for the billing, I am actually fighting with them currently to resolve all the fraudulent charges, and at the point where I want them to send me to collections so I can actually take them to court. I have all the proof I need to show they are fraudulently charging me. Wonder what this office would do if all of us who they have fraudulently charged filed a class action lawsuit against them. They would go out of business really fast. Again, stay away from these idiots and see real doctors.

Referred here by my ENT. (He and I will be discussing this!). Horrible service and consultation…read more Described my symptoms and was told. "You don't have Sjogrens." Ummm...wait a second, I have bloodwork indicating I do. She was the most unimpressive doctor I've ever seen. Dismissing a patient like that was rude and down right unkind. Her PA was no better. On a follow up visit I asked the PA a question and she said, "Oh you're seeing Dr so and so for lung issues right?" Nope. Not me." She asked me another question that was not applicable to me. My husband barked at her asking if she was looking at the right patient on her computer. Totally incompetent PA. Upon acquiring a new rheumatologist, I called and asked that my records be sent to me. It should take 5 to 10 days to receive them I was told. Well here we are more than a month later and no such paper mail has come. That figures. My new very professional rheumatologists office is doing the asking now. My first clue that this office would be an issue was one of the front desk people had her half eaten lunch and a GIANT beverage next to her on her desk. How unprofessional can you get? I don't want to smell that! If you're that committed to your job, take a 15 minute break and eat in the lunch room! The only ok experience here was the blood draw. She was fast and sweet. My last grip is they have you auto sign patient paperwork Saying you are not allowed to change doctors within the practice. They lock you into a doctor you do not like. Very strange and very telling in and of itself. Don't go here. You will not be happy.

This office is bordering on malpractice -- if it hasn't crossed that line already…read more Getting anyone here to complete basic paperwork required for prescribed medication is like pulling teeth, except the pain lasts for weeks. Three months ago, this office put me through absolute hell trying to obtain a prescription I legitimately need. After weeks of begging and repeated follow-ups for them to complete the required paperwork, I miraculously received my medication. Then I learned they had neglected to process it for six months. One month later, the same nightmare repeated itself. Since the start of the new year, I have new health insurance. That means this office needs to complete a pre-authorization for medication I have already paid them for. I am now four weeks and seven phone calls into this process, still waiting for paperwork that should take minutes -- not months -- to complete. At this point, my only remaining option is to physically go to the office, call the online pharmacy from their waiting room, and stand there until someone from this office speaks directly to the pharmacy and completes the required paperwork. I will not leave until the pharmacy confirms everything has been submitted correctly. Let that sink in: a patient is forced to camp out in a medical office just to receive medication. Can you imagine any competent medical practice thinking this is acceptable? If this fails, my next step will be pursuing formal legal remedies simply to compel this office to complete the paperwork they are responsible for completing. Arizona Arthritis & Rheumatology Associates: How many more one-star reviews do you think your office can accumulate before the pattern becomes undeniable? I always assumed medical offices worked to make patients feel better -- not worse. That assumption does not hold here. Read the reviews and decide for yourself why this practice has earned so many one-star ratings. This office -- and its administrative processes -- should be deeply embarrassed. See you tomorrow. I'll plan accordingly, because it appears I'll be there a while.
