Service are very nice! Supa friendly and nicely the food and the drink is 4/10, underwhelming and didn't live up to expectations. The flavors were bland, and the dishes lacked the freshness or creativity that would make them stand out. The service was decent, but it wasn't enough to compensate for the mediocre food. Overall, it's not a place I would consider revisiting.....

    Vietnamese Pizza

So... I wouldn't say this place is great but I'd definitely say it's in the top for Vietnamese street food snacks. I ordered the Vietnamese pizza, Fried quail Balut in Tamarind Sauce, and the Rice paper salad for my lunch and also ordered the Vietnamese iced coffee (not pictured). Everything was very inexpensive so that was a plus and out of the foods the salad and the pizza were tied. The pizza wasn't as crispy as I would have liked, and I made sure to eat it immediately since that's what I was informed to do, but the filling was very yummy. The salad was flavorful but the "noodles" were rather tough and gummy at the same time which told me they had been sitting like that for some time. The quail balut was a totally new food experience for me, which I'm glad I tried, but I probably won't eat on purpose again. The sauce was very good and I'd put that on anything. The Vietnamese coffee actually tasted more like melted coffee icecream as it was sweeter than most coffees I have had in the area. But the thing is, I can't really complain because the cost was cheaper than most places anyways. The service was wonderful. The girl behind the counter was very nice. I'd go back again as there were more street foods to try.

My mom loves banh Trang tron so we decided to get some here! Sadly, it was way too oily! The flavors were there but the greasiness was just too overwhelming.

Get the Che Khuc Bach. Greatest snack drink I ever had. Bubble tea gets boring to me. Ive tried this Che Khuc Bach drink at other places and none can compare to Hangout's.

I love their banh trang tron. The textures, and tamarind sauce is refreshing, and delicious. Strong tea drinks too. The prices are affordable and doesn't break bank. This place is a must for a quick lunch time snack or anytime snack. Their rice paper "pizza" is yummy too.

Love the " chè khúc bạch " here ( Vietnamese Jello dessert ) ! They add a lot of topping on it such as almond, lychee, jack fruit ... and it just so good ! I also tried their coconut pudding and flan , definitely a must tryyyyy ! The texture is so perfect and full of flavor. I try a lot of dessert place around Bellaire but this is one of my favorite place ever.

Pretty good avocado smoothie $5 for a tall cup is well worth the drive! The sweet level is just right.

Fried tofu and pennyworth coconut drink

A great place to go for quick snacks but honestly they aren't that good. I have tried several other dish such as rice paper salad, egg, calamari and today I tried the tofu. I have to say I'm disappointed. Their dishes tasted bland. It seemed they don't use salt at all. I also ordered the pennyworth coconut drink. It tasted bland as if they forgot to put sugar. I'm not impressed at all with this place. I even took extra step to give the owner input. It was a mistake. They don't even appreciate it. Instead they rush me off saying that was why the sauce comes with it. Honestly the sauce is the option but if the tofu is tasty enough, no need for the sauce. I personally don't even care for that kind of sweet sauce anyway.

Came here for a snack and got the "kimchi" fries. The reviews were mixed on this and I decided to give it a go. After trying this I wouldn't get it again nor recommend it. The fries itself were good, thin crisp and crunchy. The sauce was plain mayo (not even spicy mayo) and I had to "doctor" it up by adding sriracha. The meat was not bad, usually the meat sucks in the fries (elsewhere) and everything else would mask that. The kimchi was a small pile in the corner of the box, and there wasn't an egg like I saw in some of the pics nor did I see it on the menu to be added. It was pretty sad looking. Everyone in here came for drinks so I'm gonna do that next time instead of eating. I didn't finish it and took it home for my brother to eat (who has no taste buds).

best place ever!! so underrated. the place is running by family and the owner r very sweet. she always gave me freebies whenever i come. so many food n drinks options. the place just got remodel so it is so cute n aesthetically. i always crave stuffs here such as chicken feet, kimchi fries, baluts, grill breaddd its soo good n can't stop thinking abt for weeks. best place to visit when in Houston and the price is excellent too.

Slow service, mediocre food. The banh Trang tron was oily, no hint of sour/tamarind. It took about 20 minutes for them to finish my order, nobody else in line but me.

Banh bot chien, fried calamari, and banh trang cuon. Yum!

Construction…read morein the area is heavy, and quite a bit of traffic, parking was packed, yet we did find a spot close to the door. Service has changed since last I have been here many years ago. In the past they would bring out a bread basket, as a free appetizer like how some mexican restaurants bring out chips and salsa, however, they dont seem to do that here anymore. Service at the table was mediocre, our waitress took our drink order and on the way over, the waitress was spilling the drinks over the floor on the way to our table. After our waitress took our order, my gf did not get the mayo on the side as she had asked, and after we received our food, our waitress never came around to check on us, didn't refill our drinks or anything. The place was very loud, louder than visiting waffle house. I was trying to have a conversation with my gf sitting just across the table from one another, and we were having to literally yell at one another just to hear what each other were saying. My gf did state that the sandwich she ordered was a big sandwich, and was more than she could finish. Once we were ready to go, our waitress still hadn't been around to check on us. So I had to flag down someone else, to get us some to go boxes, and our check. Low and behold, when I was ready to checkout, the waitress appears out of nowhere, after all this time, I'm guessing because she thought she was going to get a good tip. I'm sorry, waitstaff only get a great tip from me, once and if they perform a great job duty, and this was not the case in this matter. Maybe, better luck next time, maybe Papas needs to hire better waitstaff worth hiring and keeping.

The food itself was delicious! We got the onion rings appetizer, and you could tell they were made to order. They were super fresh and also crispy. The chicken parmigiana was good, and they were not stingy with their portions at all. The picture I took doesn't do the dish justice. We shared a bowl of the potato soup where we had no expectations and I thought it tasted pretty decent. But the real test was the entrees. Mr. Picky ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp while I opted for Veal Parmigiana, and we each stole a bite from the other's plate. We reached consensus immediately that both dishes were well-seasoned and quite delicious, meaning we would return for more good food in the future. Seriously, we hadn't expected much when walking in and looking around, but were pleasantly surprised at the kitchen's efforts. We finished lunch with an order of homemade bread pudding and tiramisu, the latter of which in 2012 won a chamber of commerce epicurean competition 1st place ribbon. I wasn't there to judge that competition and have had better, but sincerely appreciated the moistness of the bread pudding. While the majority of diners were older and a more mature crowd, there's a lot to be said for value, and we thought the menu price was better than reasonable and I think a lot of people will discover this as a value destination, something we all appreciate.
