Hangry Joe's, this is the last time you will disappoint me. Where to start? The first two times I stopped in for food was a great experience. Food was good and the service was great. I will say that their medium is way to Spivey for me, but I knew going forward to get the mild which is also spicy. On this particular visit I was fantastically disappointed. So, I ordered a two piece and a drink. I asked what pieces of the chicken come with a two piece the young man behind the counter stated a leg and thigh. He even went to the wall that lists what pieces you can expect to receive to confirm. I said that was fine as I don't care for chicken breast at all, never have and I never will. I paid and then he said that it would be 20-25 minutes. No problem as I am happy to wait for fresh fried chicken. No please keep in mind that they were not busy at all. They had zero customers when I walked in, two first responders came in after me and there was no else who came in afterwards. Please help me understand why this young man brought me a tray with a wing and a breast.. I took the greasy tray back up to him and politely asked what was on my tray. He told me. I then asked him what he told me came with the 2 piece. He repeated a leg and a thigh. Then why would he bring me a breast and a wing? I told him that I would like a refund. He stated that they could remake it. I said "No thank you, I'm not going to wait another 20-25 minutes and I would like a refund". This poor kid then stated that he would have to call his manager. Fine. Call them. Why would the manager need to be called? I didn't get what I ordered and paid for and I didn't eat the food. Over the phone the manager inquired if I would prefer for the food to be remade or if I would like a refund. Sir, I have already asked for a refund. Will most certainly not be returning. There are way too many fried chicken restaurants in this area. If chicken is your thing then maybe do it right. Also, I failed to mention that they now do seafood boils. Not sure I would try it. If you can't get your chicken orders right how are you going to get your seafood boils right? No thank you. read more

This location seems to be recently renovated, it looks modern! I ordered their sandwich combo with no heat. I can handle heat but wanted to see what the chicken and breading itself tasted like. The chicken was good, but while it was breaded, it didn't seem like it was deep fried (maybe pan fried?). The chicken wasn't super crispy, but the filet was MASSIVE. The sandwich as a whole was good though! It comes with pickles, coleslaw, and their signature sauce. The fries are waffle fries and are crispy and taste good. I would come here again, but it wouldn't be my first pick for a chicken sandwich. Nugs were best thing we tried. Milkshake was creamy and sweet. Can sub milkshake for combo drink for $4 up charge (must do by staff at register, not DIY kiosk). We ordered take out last night and it was amazing! This location is now Hangry Joe's and Mike's Seafood Boil. My husband got the fried chicken tenders and fries and they were cooked perfect! My daughter and I got shrimp seafood boils and they were also amazing. The 1/2lb shrimp boil with corn, potatoes and either a side of rice or garlic noodles was only $13.99! You can't beat that! They definitely hooked up all of our meals too. We finished off with banana pudding and they were yummy. They add the vanilla wafers upon ordering so you still get a nice crunch. I went through the drive through to order so I can't comment on the atmosphere. I ordered the 6 wing combo drenched with Spicy soy garlic sauce and it was just drizzled with a tiny amount. The chicken was cooked through but the coating and skin were burnt because they don't change their oil regularly and I had to tell the manager that. I had high hopes for this place but I am not going back because of this issue. The chicken isn't exceptional at all and there are better choices available elsewhere. I was disappointed. I went here with my family tonight, 2-3-26 at around 6pm at the little creek location. I ordered a chicken sandwich combo and while ordering the food it was cashier who didn't know what he was doing, acting like he had never worked in the food industry before, very clueless about job. Received my food about 10-15 minutes, not bad wait time. Getting into my meal and I tried to take 3 bites from my chicken sandwich and I could not bite into my sandwich. The chicken was very dry, hard, stringy and tasteless and the only way I could eat it was to pull it apart. Was not a tender piece of chicken. But why am I going to manually take my sandwich apart with my bare hands after ordering a chicken sandwich when you expect to receive a chicken sandwich you can actually bite into and enjoy. So I took it to the to the guy who took my order and I asked him if I could get this sandwich replaced with chicken nuggets, which was actually cheaper than what I originally bought, by the way, and they guy said "let me call my boss" and waited a few minutes for that for him to tell me no I couldn't get something else. So I asked for a refund and they also declined that. I ended up throwing my food away and leaving right away. Still hungry but food was disgustingly disappointing and food was very very over priced. I spent almost $25 for just a chicken sandwich combo. Rude customer service, nasty food and the music was way too loud. Would not recommend going to this place, avoid this location at all costs. Hangry Joe's is new to the Little Creek area, and I decided to give them a try, though I normally don't care for fast food. I ordered before I left the house and gave them a few minutes before leaving to pick it up. When I got there I decided to hit the drive-thru. When I got to the window I was warmly greeted and my food was ready. I was there and back home in less then 10 minutes. My other half had a chicken wrap which she said was delicious, which is good in itself. ( She can be a bit picky, but don't tell her I said that) The chicken was plentiful and very flavorful. She also had the Funnelcake Sticks, which she said could be addictive. I had the Messy sandwich, which lived up to its name. It is bar-b-que chicken covered with a spicy sauce and coleslaw on a brioche bun. (Pickles on the side) It was outstanding! I also had the fried okra. (I know, but I love it.) They were crisp and juicy. All in all, I really enjoyed the meal. Hangry's is not your typical fast food slop house. The food is well made and plentiful. However, ordering was awkward as you walk in and see several people behind the counter, but you order everything from the kiosk. There are A LOT of options with the combo meal, so perhaps this could be easier with a real person. Then you are asked to tip? For what? I did the work and was then handed a cup. But the food wasn't at all what I was expecting, the chicken wasn't warm it was cold and the coleslaw they give you isn't even coleslaw it's just plain cabbage.The chicken didn't even look breaded just seemed like they seared the chicken and called it a day. I normally eat at the Hangry Joes in Janaf Shopping Center and they are wonderful. I worked late last night and didn't feel like driving out of the way so I went to the one on Little Creek Rd. The building was clean and quiet so that was the beginning and ending of what was nice about this store. Something told me to stick to my normal spot but a soft head makes a hard behind bc I went and will never do it again. First the people behind the counter were more interested in their phones than customers but whatever. I'm in a hurry so grab my food and go. 1st I'm use to hot food from the Janaf location. The 12 wings were old and tasted like they just threw some sauce on it. I also got the Korean fried bites (HOT SOY GARLIC) but get home on there is no sauce on them and the breading was soft while being dry and chewy also. Food was tasty- got the chicken bites and waffle fries. Good portion size. My gripe is that they charge $1 for a small container of barbecue sauce. I passed over the Hangry joes sauce and asked for only 2 barbecue sauce. They charged me $2 and when i got home and unpacked my food, the containers of barbecue sauce had a ridiculously small amount in it. They had about 1/4" of sauce per container. While my husband and son rant and rave about the food, my review is on the hygiene of an employee. My sister and I were there Saturday afternoon 8/24/24. While we were finishing up in the restroom, an employee (Older Asian woman with a red and white striped shirt) was finishing up too.
