Instead she sat down at another table and talked with another party. I don't believe they are ready to be a restaurant, stick to food trucks. My Mexican Chicken philly cheese was delicious, fresh made by friendly business owners, Chad and Miriam. It's warm, soft bun was a bed for flavorful chicken, peppers and onions, coated in warm beer cheese, topped with pico de gallo and guacamole. Been here twice now, I had some lunch options. The shredded pork sandwich was amazing. The sourdough bread was so crispy and the pork with guacamole and onions, etc was moist and flavorful. The meatloaf pressed sandwich was also good. I loved the pressed sub roll. It was nice and crispy with meatloaf type filling. This morning I had the lemon ricotta pancakes that came with their homemade sausage patty. It is the stuff dreams are made of. Don't hesitate to try this restaurant. read more

My wife and I were really looking forward to lunch here. The hours for us are not really helpful with work schedules. Finally we both had a Friday off so we decided this is what we wanted for lunch! I had the Mexican Philly Cheese Steak and she had the Shrimp Grilled cheese sandwich. I really thought mine was great she liked hers, but reported she wished it had a little less jam on it. Overall we were both happy with the food. This is what we were not fans of first I hate absolutely hate ordering food at the counter if it is not a fast food place. Second we were in the store front not at the food truck so I would have preferred having the items served on a plate not a paper boat. Again if I am at McDonalds this is fine, but not when I am paying close to $30.00 for lunch. Finally I can understand needing a prep kitchen for their food truck, but it felt like we were a bother while we were there. Seems they were trying to get ready for the afternoon on the truck. I visited their food truck at a Norfolk brewery. I ordered the pulled pork panini, and it took about 20 minutes for one sandwich. $12 was a pretty fair price. The menu said there would be pico de gallo, but on my sandwich, I only had the pork, guacamole, cheese, and chipotle sauce on grilled sourdough bread. I think the pico would have added a freshness to this sandwich that would have worked well with these other ingredients. Hangry's brought a special all-vegan menu to a dog adoption event at PETA's dog park and they did not disappoint! I got the chipotle lime cauliflower taco and the potato masala taco. I was working Oktoberfest at Hunt Club Farm and wanted to grab a bite before the crowds entered. Hangry's immediately caught my attention and the crew there was kind enough to serve me a bit early. I ordered a Mexican Philly cheese steak and was pleasantly surprised by the size of the thing. Thankfully, I had the foresight to grab plenty of napkins, because it was a damn mess to eat. The queso, guac, and salsa quickly worked through the bun and I was left in a panic to shovel bites into my mouth before it completely disintegrated. This is not at all a complaint, btw. I'm a hot mess and appreciate when my food is as well. Generous and well seasoned portions or beef, although maybe smaller slices would have worked better than thicker cubes. As the afternoon wore on, I noticed the line began to grow around the food truck. It didn't seem to move quick enough for the somewhat inebriated patrons. I will say, I experienced a pang of remorse when I saw people walk past me with the biggest soft pretzel I'd ever seen. This truck came to my work the other day as we have rotational trucks, so I figured I would give it a try based on the menu. I had the pork panini, check out the photo, which had tons of flavor! It was definitely a messy sandwich and done more grilled cheese style with grilled, buttered bread than a panini, but the toppings and chipotle sauce really had a great balance of flavor on the bread. $10 for the sandwich was a little steep with no sides. Could have thrown a couple tater tots in there and called it a meal, but it was really good. Also had one of their fresh made cookies that hit the spot. Nice crew, wait was a little bit longer than I'm used to for a food truck, but it was definitely fresh. Decor was on point with a bunch of sugar skulls and a large variety of hot sauces. I finally had Hangry's after coincidently stopping at Benchtop while they were there. I was completely surprised and not disappointed. I ordered three tacos on corn tortillas and they were all delicious. I like that their menu was short, simple and sweet. They have a good selection for being a food truck, and the fact they serve tacos especially right outside of a brewery was a great compliment to one and another.
