But I gave this shop a try and it's a bit out the way. They aligned my offroad suv that's heavy modified, it drives straight and the steering wheel is straight. Brought my car in for suspension work and left with a setup that was straight up unsafe. The lower control arms were not torqued to factory spec, which is basic mechanical responsibility, not an optional detail. I only found out after noticing issues and having another shop inspect the car. On top of that, the coilovers were adjusted unevenly. One side was raised significantly higher than the other, leaving the car visibly crooked. Anyone who works on suspension should know this is unacceptable. This shop clearly rushed the job and lacked attention to detail on critical components that directly affect safety and handling. Suspension work is not something you can half do. I had to spend extra money fixing mistakes that never should have happened in the first place. Would not trust this place with any performance or safety related work. This car is 1 month old and was really happy to see it was taken care of by the shop with covers on steering wheel, seat and floor. I also had a great conversation with Jae. Found this business from a recommended list of dealers to install a new tire that I ordered from Tire Rack. Communication was excellent. Received email and text message updates from the owner and made making an appointment a breeze. Very professional and knowledgeable staff who swapped out my tire with no delay and no fluff. I ended up getting my minivan's alignment done here the following week as I was impressed with how honest he was with some other customers that he was working with. Wish I could give 100 stars because these guys move mountains no joke. Came in for an alignment and to have my fender liner installed which they completed pretty quick. They also fixed a clunking sound on one of my coil over which is great! They asked a lot of questions and gave great advice which not a lot of shops do because they don't care and want to get you out the door ASAP but not here. Also they specifically fine tune suspension for track builds and more! I'll be coming back for all my suspension/tire needs HIGHLY RECOMMENDED SHOP! Lastly they found out that Les Schwab had given me 2 of the wrong lug nuts that were bigger but fit the same locking key and they were drilling into my rim!(see picture) Fucking morons. read more

I need to get new set of tires for my truck and this reminded of a distasteful experience I had at this shop a while ago, so I'm writing this long over due post. If ownership changed since then, ignore this. I used to think very highly of this place as I bought 2 sets of tires for our vehicles. However, last interaction with Jae (the owner) made me never want to give him business even if I have to pay higher price somewhere else. Jae's sales tactic is as following: 1. Let's you tell him why you came in to the store (tire needs of course). 2. After carefully listening to you, tries to reassume you how he doesn't care about making money, but he just wants what's best for you and your family. 3. Tries to impress you with his personal story- how he went to UW even though he barely spoke English and was a Microsoft engineer in the past but quit and opened the tire shop because he loves cars so much, and now he eats and breathes cars, and how he can walk on water while juggling 5 tires. 4. He then proceeds to tell you you need to buy XYZ from him because that's the best choice for you and there's no better place to do that than his shop because his quality and price are the best. 5. At this point if you are okay with his recommendation, then everything is cool, and everyone is happy. 6. However, if you bring up a differing opinion, or dare question his recommendation, he gets offended and literally rolls his eyes and starts to condescends you. I've seen him do this to multiple people-- after listening to his pitch, they told him they'd come back later, or check other shops. 7. He then makes fun of them and also brings up past customers who dared question him and made dumb decisions of not giving him their business, and how they are all worthless POS. Like many positive posts on Yelp, I went along with his recommendations first two times and both times I thought highly of Jae. (To be fair, there's no reason to think he's BS-ing; bit egotistical, but he's fairly knowledgeable and resourceful.) However, the 3rd time I went to him because I had a specific need despite his differing recommendation. He immediately berated me and attacked my intelligence and character. After all, it's me who knows what my needs and wants are, not Jae or anyone else. However, he can't seem to grasp this concept. I wouldn't be surprised if he's included me in long list of his stories-- a dumbass who didn't listen to him and probably ended up regretting it. I don't necessarily expect to be treated like a king as a customer, but I certainly don't believe I need to treat a shop owner like a king. Never been back, and will never go back. read more

They were very careful with my wheels/car, including using a torque wrench vs impact. They even hid the wheel weights behind the spokes for a clean install. When I brought my car in for alignment I asked him few questions and instead of answering them he'll ignore you and and do what he wants with your car. I highly suggest people to go to Clark's alignment in Kirkland and or any other tire shop. With the lack of customer service, save yourself the trouble as Jae don't give two shit about you or the car. Kevin who serviced my vehicle for an alignment was just straight on point. These type of business are successful for a reason. They are honest, humble and keep pushing forward. They are not the cheapest but this is where quality takes over pricing. This is not typical tire shop where they try to upsell you every visit. Had a great experience with Jae and his technician. I had a damaged tire and went to Discount Tire where I got all fours from originally. As usual, it would be 2 days out before they would have this special order tire. I have to be at work-and don't have time for their lack of inventory. Googled Hankook Tire....Shazamm! Called Jae around 11AM and he had the tire at his shop by 2:30PM and on my car by 4PM. All along, Jae kept me current on the status of the tire arrival in a very professional and tech savvy way. Then waiting for the tires to be installed, I received an email with my invoice and the ability to pay immediately. Before I knew it, my car was done, the bill was paid and the receipt handed to me along with a smile and a nice conversation. I am so amazed how knowledgeable and trustworthy Jae was. Basically, I picked up my car from the dealership-service not too long ago but wasn't satisfied with their service. It actually got worse and the problem was still there. However, I was told my car was safe to drive. Then, my friend recommended that I go see Jae. Immediately, I took my car to his shop and we found out that the car wasn't safe to drive. I have a Maserati Ghibli sq4 and I was planning to going on a long road trip with my family. I love the place and Jay is great. The tire business is low margin so don't expect to find wild discounts when Costco and such exist. That said, Jay always gives me a competitive price and incredible service. I recently needed to replace my K02 tires before an upcoming snow fall and I tried the Dynapro AT2 Xtreme. Jay suggested them as an option but was honest in saying he had not had a customer buy them yet (brand new tire). The tire ended up being fantastic and handled the snow better than my K02's could. The adage says, "You get what you pay for." I find that phrase to be very powerful. Most associate it with being frugal always costs you more in the end. That's not my style, I believe in the best, and not over paying for goods. So for me the adage means I should get exactly what I expect, when I expect it, for the greed upon price. Anything else puts me at a loss. Lynnwood Tire, aka Hankook Tire is one of the local distributors for Malone Tune. My intent after taking a half day off work to have this service done was to spend my money and get exactly what was advertised, especially since the half day off work was required after his last minute reschedule of my appointment. After driving 90 minutes in traffic with a temperature pushing 100 degrees, it was the shortest appointment in history. The owner, Jae, told me he misunderstood what I wanted and told me I would need to have more work done before he could perform the service. At that point I made sure everything was crystal clear and I told Jae that I was not happy to have lost a half day of work and have to face 2 hours of reverse traffic on my way home. I said I would be back, but informed Jae that he needed to provide service to prevent this type of error from repeating. I scheduled a new appointment and advised that I wanted it to be my last. Like before, after confirming my appointment, Jae pushed my time earlier in the day. Not wanting to risk losing more pay. I went to work early for early exit. The drive was again 90 minutes, only this time, drivers were all over the road because they were trying to drive and watch the Blue Angles. When I showed up, Jae told me he literally only had a few minutes in order to get my cat ready, but he talked to me for about 10 minutes, it was at that point, I knew his stall was an effort to give me the impression we just missed out, AGAIN! I stopped him and said, if we only have minutes, here are the keys, get the car into the shop. He took my keys, then the phone rang. Next thing I know, he walks back in, goes to the computer and stars quoting tire prices. Not only was I here 1st, but I am a guaranteed sell, don't disrespect me like that! After nearly 10 minutes, I walk into his office and say, "Do you want me to bring the car around?", at that point he got it. I was pissed and told myself if this didn't come together today, I was gonna have a fit. I waited more than an hour, then said I was going to get something to eat and I would be back. About 10 minutes later, Jae send me a text stating that it's not going to work out, but he will makes it right if I come back for a 3rd time. I decided to call Malone Tune and make sure that they are available, since previous issues had been blamed on them. It was at that time I was informed that Malone Tune was closed for vacation and Jae had not been honest with me about my appointment or confirmation. Malone Tune asked me to return and advised that they would be on standby if I had any issues. Once there, Jae put me on the back burner. It should have taken him 5 minutes tops to flash my cars computer, but he had to help 3 other people and do 5 other things before getting to me, even though again, I had a scheduled appointment. He also told me he would get me a good discount to make up for the drama, but guess what, after 8 hours in my car, a couple hours at his shop and losing a half days pay, his big discount was $10 which equaled 3% Sorry bro, this was you opportunity to step up and make it right and YOU BLEW IT! Nice guy, but not ready to be a business owner and the lies, miscommunication and deception would keep me from returning or recommending. This is another example of why Yelp should allow 0 star review. Couldn't be more disappointed with Jae or his business. read more

The negative reviews for this shop is funny. I can see how the personality of the owner can maybe rub some people in the wrong way lol. He is very direct and honest, which is what you want from a shop like this, TRUST ME. The people who left negative reviews obviously was either not happy with the bad news they received about their poorly maintained vehicle OR, they just weren't respectful. The shop is extremely busy and available by appointment only, this is also a good thing that means a lot of people trust the shop because they do good work. If you go in with a lot of problems, expect to hear bad news. Some shops won't even touch a modified car, or they won't do the alignment properly. This shop does a thorough job of not only the alignment, but the explanation and education that should also be delivered. The moment I walked in, the owner made fun of my car, and keeps bragging about his Porsche 911. I get it, 911 is a cool car. But I don't get why attacking your customer's vehicle is a good business move. I understand maybe you have been in the business for quite a while now. Calm down and relax if you want to keep the customers coming back. I read a few other reviews that stated they had similar interactions with the owner. Paid half the same price for my custom alignment here than I did at Les Schwab. The results here were fantastic. Never had to bring the car for adjustments. When I previously left the Les Schwab, my truck didn't even drive straight! I have had two vehicles aligned here for a total of three times. Will continue bringing them back! From reading other reviews, it sounds like the owner tries to explain to people how hella stanced cars and bad air bag setups are unreliable and can be dangerous. I came in with te37s on my evo and wasn't worried about scratching or damages. I also didn't hear anything bad about aftermarket parts on my vehicle. read more

Went here via a recommendation from a car guy friend of mine and so glad I did. I have a lifetime alignment at Firestone, and had my steering rack replaced at another place. I went back to 3 different Firestone locations, Kirkland, Woodinville, Seattle and nobody would align my car even though I had paid for the "lifetime" alignment. (Each place had different stories of what I needed, (to remove and readjust steering rack, to replace upper right control arm, etc) which I didn't believe three different places would give me three different stories of what I needed to replace. (Which ended up being nothing) I then took the car to Jae, and he aligned the car. Didn't need to replace ANYTHING that Firestone mentioned and car is now aligned perfect/steering wheel on center. Few lessons I learned throughout the process. Once Firestone gets your money for a lifetime alignment, they won't spend more than 5 minutes on your car and just quote you for whatever to get some money out of it. Jae and his team is honest, told me what I should look out for, didn't try to upsell me. Skip the big box profit hungry shops and support your local and honest businesses. I've been bringing my car exclusively to Hankook Tire for about 8 months now. Funnily enough, I've had about everything done except tires! Jae and Charlie are super easy to work with. Jae is always really honest and upfront. I'd recommend anyone here. From alignments to tires, to major engine mods. Now to what I've had done. I have a 2012 VW GTI. When I first started bringing my car here, it was 100% stock. Every bit of work I've had done, has been done here. It now sits as Stage 2. They've done Intake, short shifter, diverter valve, turboback exhaust (sounds really good!), ECU, Stage 2 South Bend clutch, and SMA coilovers (they ride really nice!). I have ZERO complaints. I've been happy with everything done, and the quality of work is top notch. I have a lot of trust in both Jaes, and Charlies opinions... so listen to them. They know their stuff! read more

I brought my car in for some new tires and an alignment. Being a car-guy, I'm always a little wary of having someone else work on my car. But, to my surprise the owner himself owned a VW R32. He recommended some good tires and gave me a great price. I got to hang out and chat with the owner in the garage while they worked on my car, even got a test-ride in a monster turbo MKIV R32. Young, the owner, noticed that my TPMS sensor light was on and told me he could turn it off for me. I took my tire sensors out a couple years ago, and have had the light on since. Since, he had the software and comp. hookup on him, he turned it off..no charge. He lowered the quote too since he thought that I had the factory sensors still in there. I was in and out quickly with an alignment and new tires, and was pleasantly surprised with the total price. He didn't even charge me for the sensor-work, and $80 for 4-wheel alignment is amazing, especially if you track your car. On the drive home, the pull-to-the-right was gone and the new tires were surprisingly quiet. Service was good enough for me to take my laptop out write my second review EVER. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone! : ) read more

Jae and his crew, are awesome! They are honest, upfront and don't charge an arm for their services.. While doing some research, I found some great reviews about Jae and his shop. So I called to set up an appointment. Then, away I went. The GPS took me to a Pet Smart, which I thought was a mistake, but the shop ended up being in the back corner. It was very hard to spot so keep your eyes peeled! Service was quick, I was there for a little under an hour and they were able to align my lowered car without any issues or fancy bolts . Plus the alignment was suprisingly cheap! About half of what I paid at the other place. The technician also took the time to point out some things that needs fixing and his recommendations.
