When we talked about the tire replacement, the initial estimate was over $200 because I didn't have the previous purchase documentation with me -- I share the car with a relative, so I didn't have all the details on hand. He took the time to go through the history, found notes indicating the contract was acceptable, and honored them once he confirmed everything. Upon arrival at the Everett location, I was informed the wait would be approximately 90 minutes. When I explained what I had been told, Norman stated that Ryan had not communicated any request regarding wait time or urgency. The unavoidable conclusion--based solely on the information provided to me by your staff--is that I was given inaccurate or misleading information to get me out of one store and into another. Core Issue (So There's No Confusion) This complaint is not about: * Black wheel weights * Missing parts * Even the wait itself It is about: * Failure to communicate material facts to a customer * Inter-store misrepresentation * A lack of accountability when errors occur * A customer being placed in physical discomfort due to inaccurate assurances At best, this reflects systemic communication failures. Discount Tire Lynnwood installed 4 new tires purchased online. Scheduling was easy and service was quick and friendly. They started at the appointment time and completed in about 45 mins. The tech even explained that TPMS may take a few minutes to adjust to the new tires. A quick visual inspection looked fine but it was raining that day. A few days later, after washing my tires and wheels, I found several scratches near the wheel lip close to the tire. Scratches were relatively small, about 1/2 inch or less, on the topside of the wheel lip, and could not be from curbing. In fact, my wheels had no other damage anywhere. I brought my vehicle back to the store and spoke to AJ, the Sr. Assistant Manager, who assured me it would be taken care of. He took pictures and was friendly and helpful. A few days later, Fleet Response, their third party claims company, reached out and assisted with the claims process. I truly believe if more care and attention was put into the tire installation, all of this could have been prevented. It was a really nice day, and I had a simple, fun job to do. I needed a new set of tires, and I wanted new wheels. I saved $$$ up for this, but I did have a limit. So I went into the Lynnwood Discount Tire store thinking that they had much more in stock than the Aurora Store. But it was the same experience: large showroom with no tires and only six wheels on display. The helpful manager showed me some tires and wheels on his computer screen, but I only saw five choices. No Evo wheels in black, a very common size, 17 x 7.5 inches. Very unsatisfying experience. For me--this happens about every seven to ten years--yes, this is a thrilling, fun and memorable experience. I had up to $1,300 to spend, and they had nothing for me. I told them, don't let me go down to Les Schwab one quarter mile away, because I will likely score down there. But again, I wanted it all done TODAY, tires and wheels. The only thing I would suggest is to management is to model the store after Les Schwab, where the showroom is LOADED with all kinds of wheels and tires for me to see and FEEL (please see my photos there). Like, racks of different tires of different qualities, and a catalog right on the table of the various wheels for me to choose. Les Schwab had all that, and Discount Tire didn't. As for me, I drive 3,000 miles a year or less, so I will probably be dead before I need tires and wheels again. It's business, AND it's personal. I like to see and feel what I'm buying IN THE SHOWROOM. No offense to the respectful workers at Discount, because they were helpful and kind, they just had hardly any items in stock to fit my 2008 Chrysler Sebring, and that of itself is kind of rare. I was ready to go home and come back tomorrow when the tires had been delivered. The manager said, let me try to get these tires delivered sooner. I pulled up to have air put in my tires and everyone was so busy talking to each other they didn't even acknowledge I was there. I went inside to see it I could get help that way and the same thing happened. Finally, someone came in from the garage and talked for a different customer to get their car and on the way back into the garage, yelled at someone to get the counter. By the time that person finally came in to talk to me, he said the air station was down/put away so I ended up leaving. I was practically laughed out of the store when I asked them to check the pressure again and was told that it takes a while for the light to turn off. I went back to another location the next day only to realize they never inflated the tires. Okay, I'm a pretty chill. Non-"Karen" type of person. However, please read and this review entirely to justify its 1 star. On April of 2023, I took my vehicle in for a slow leak to the rear passenger tire of my Subaru Impreza. They took off my tire and inspected it and said the wheel weights were incorrect and caused a leak due to a gap between the weight and tire itself. They fixed the issue at no cost, I'm happy. On July 2023, my rear passenger tire is low on air again. Took it in for another inspection and a staff member pointed out that the wheel lugs nuts were installed BACKWARDS (open ended lug nuts) and asked who installed it. I said it was Discount Tire back in April. So the staff member took the blame for his co-worker installing 5 lug nuts completely backwards on my wheel. An additional inspection, turns out I was missing a locking lug nut on a front tire (I'll take the blame for that) I asked them to remove all the locking lug nuts and replace them with OEM lug nuts that I had (1 on each tire, and I supplied 4 OEM lug nuts). After the inspection on the low-leaking tire, they couldn't find the hole. (I don't blame them, a slow leak of 5-8 PSI over 4 months is definitely hard to find). They gave me my keys and expected me to leave. So I walk out and look at each tire to make sure they were not screwed on backwards like before. I Found 2 completely separate tires MISSING a lug nut after taking it in. Immediately alerted the staff in which they could not figure out why I'm missing 2 lug nuts. I had to spell it out to them that I GAVE them 4, but they lost 2 of them. They eventually found the other 2 somewhere and installed them. THEY WERE GOING TO LET ME DRIVE AWAY WITH A MISSING LUG NUT ON 2 OF MY WHEELS. I understand a vehicle has the capability of driving on 4 out of 5 lug nuts. But a vehicle was NOT designed to operate on a missing lug nut on two wheels. This whole experience tells me the lack of attention to detail, quality control, and incompetence as it increased the margin of danger to a customer. read more

When I had originally brought my vehicle in because the Tire light came on, a charming and efficient employee named Jesse was able to help me re-air them and let me know there was a nail in a tire. I inquired how long it would take to fix and he said about half an hour to 45 minutes. I had to go to work but planned on returning the next morning extra early before work so I could get this done. Upon turning in my car Jesse was not there, though I wish he had been because it probably would have been done as promised. Instead, I inform them I had to leave for work within 45 minutes and they said it would not be a problem. Well over 45 minutes later my tire isn't even removed yet! Everyone keeps assuring me very sorry. I was promised a certain amount of time and I made time for it in my busy schedule. They could not be bothered to show any professionalism or accountability, and stick to the time promise. They honestly didn't even seem to care. Due to the incompetence, I had to be late to work. Do not believe anything that they tell you, whether it be a time frame or probably something you do not even need. They do not care about their customers, and they do not value you or your time. Trust the reviews here. These guys are awesome. I've never used anyone else for my tire needs and I never will. They do so much for free, regardless if you bought the tires with them or not. They give honest opinions and will do whatever they can to earn your business even if it's not at the moment. I come here at bare minimum every three months to get air in my tires. They never complain about doing something for free and they're just all down to earth dudes. My recent visit here, I had just purchased a new used car. I saw that my tires had some cuts on the sidewalk, which I read online that this is very dangerous and I need to replace them. These tires literally had about 80% tread life, so I was pretty bummed out that I would have to buy $1600 worth of tires. I brought my car here, and the guy checked it out and said my tires are high quality and the damage is only cosmetic with nothing to worry about. I also talked about some steering wheel vibration and he said he can get them done for $19 a tire. Then he said, hey let's check how much it would cost for a warranty. I said I didn't buy the tires here and he said don't worry, they can still warranty it. The warranty came out to $40/tire and I bought it right away and the tire balancing is included the the warranty. This was a STEAL. So I basically got what I wanted AND a warranty for the rest of the life of the tire even though I didn't buy them here. These guys are awesome and from what I know, it's company wide. I'll continue to come here all the time for my tire needs and highly recommend them to everyone else. read more

Reasonable wait time is what I like about this place. Prices? Not so sure but I feel they are affordable if you're not asking for the high end but rather, ask for what will best suit your car. Consider safety concerns as well. Some people prefer to have wider or bigger tires. We know this is true even when we think sizes matter. Hehe It's always good to know tires prices because they might be able to match others. Ask questions is best until you get the most reasonable answers. I like this place because the guys are always very pleasant and very helpful. I come here often when I need air in my tires as well as balancing or rotating them. Last week, I stopped in to have a tire patched, as I had ran over a screw. Today, my tire pressure gauge came on, so I came back to have it checked. They found that the patch was not done successfully, and they offered to replace the tire. I told Ali, at the front desk, that I really did appreciate it. But I explained that meant that I had to replace the 3 other tires now, when just a few days ago, I was told I would probably make it to winter before they needed replacement. He understood my frustration, that my deadline of buying new tires had been moved up because the patch wasn't done correctly. Ali disappeared into the shop, and a few minutes later came back to offer me a solution that went far above and beyond my expectations. It's been a few hours and I still have tears in my eyes. I don't know how to thank Ali for doing what he did to make the situation right, and to take care of me. I have been a customer for a long time. I have always been treated good and highly recommended this place. However, today the sales person, Rory tried to bamboozle me. I had a nail in my tire.. (Not my first or last nail in my tire) He even said that my tires have great tread. He claimed that the location of the nail cannot be fixed. I asked for a second opinion and he refused and offered a discount for two new tires. This took me by surprise as I have had nails in my tires many times - the small nail was in the middle of the tire and I know it's easily fixable. I am well aware that sometimes tires have damage that cannot be repaired but this was not the case. He did not even bother to look at the tire or get a second opinion. Rory told me I need to buy two new tires. He gave me quotes of $300-$400 for two new tires. Rory told me I need to buy the tires or they can't help me. I immediately drove to Les Schwab and they fixed the tire within 20 minutes and told me it was an easy fix. I then went back to discount tire to let them know that their salesman, Rory was trying to bamboozle me. They apologized, which I appreciate, but this whole experience made me realize you have to be careful because certain salesmen try to take advantage of people. The staff at discount tire even examined my newly fixed tire in an attempt to find a flaw and they could not. They apologized to me and told me that they are sorry. But that does not cut it. How dare you try to take advantage of people like that for a sale. read more

I have gotten full sets of tires as well as regular service from these guys. Their prices on new tires are fully competitive--I can't remember now what I paid for decent Michelins on my last truck, but I wasn't able to find them significantly cheaper anywhere else. They rotated the tires for free a couple times, even sending me auto-generated email to remind me to bring it in. Since then, I have switched trucks, and have a way to go on my current set of tires. I drove over a screw at some point this summer, though, and, thankfully, never developed a leak due to that. Good thing, too, because somebody had to point it out to me. I probably never would have noticed. And who noticed? One of the guys upstairs at work who takes smoke breaks by the door of the garage. Yeah, I don't mind the smokers nearly as much after that. Anyway, they fixed the puncture--for no charge--in about 10 minutes this afternoon. My current rig is on BFGs, and I didn't even ask if they stock those, but they took care of it right away. No doubt you can fix a puncture in a line of tire you happen not to stock, if that is in fact the case. They answered all my dumb questions and I was on my way just like that.
