    Mango Mochi

Hanlin gives other mango drink shops a run for its money. King of who? Mango mochi drink had a great balance of pomelo, mochi liquid(?), and mango chunks. Love me a mango pomelo sago spinoff but with the mango sticky rice rage? MOCHI IS PERF. Though I'd strongly recommend against getting the Uji Matcha Latte, my friend got it and tasted like pale green milk *.* But if you want some yummy dessert drink, mango mochi might be up your alley! Also love that the upstairs is a cozy spot for studying or chatting (min. of 6 plugs spotted in the outlet corner)

Saw a reel on instagram that their matcha was good because it was Uji matcha. Unfortunately when I got the matcha latte it tasted pretty milky, and some clumps settled at the bottom. Uji Matcha Latte: 7.99

Did not want to wait in line for Macu Tea & gave this place a try. Unlike Macu, this place has an upstairs area to sit and limited seating downstairs. Their decor is very chic & cute and looks like a great place to sit, sip, and hang out. Their taro drink had lots of fresh taro and their mango sago was a good blend of mango, pomelo, and sweetness. Staff were friendly and wait was not long despite multiple orders being made by customers.

This place is a dream and anyone who can't see past Macu is seriously missing out! Great desserts, delicious drinks, and an inviting and neat seating space with an upstairs loft! Both fruit smoothies and tea drinks are delicious here! Mango Coconut Smoothie (5/5) Taste: This is by far my favourite drink, and the best part? It's lactose free! This drink is seriously a hug in a cup, full of mango, sago, and coconut milk! Portion: Great for 1 person (very loaded drink) Value for Money: While on the pricier side for bbt, if you're planning to sit down and enjoy the cafe, I'd say it's worth it more than waiting in line at Macu for takeout!

This is my go to when there's a long line at macu and I don't feel like lining up. This drink is massive and loaded with toppings it's incredibly filling. It's also a great tea house for studying/working as there's an upper floor with plenty of tables with plugs.

Aesthetic interior and food. The inside has 2 levels and most of the seating is on the 2nd level so you have to bring your food up the stairs. View is nice up there but the seating is pretty crowded - lots of students with laptops studying there. I got their Fruit Tea and compared to other places, its flavors did not stand out. It was not very sweet and the tea taste didn't come through. We tried some of their desserts too since they look really good. The Earl Grey Chestnut cake had a nice earl grey flavor on the cream, but the cake itself was again, not very sweet and a bit bland. The Hazelnut Chocolate Roll Cake was delicious though - very chocolatey hazelnut shell and had a nice touch of chocolate hazelnut cream layering the inside of the roll cake. Overall, would come back for the Hazelnut Chocolate Roll.

The milk teas were good. I liked the taro but the cake was underwhelming and also dry.

Amazing customer service and a great overall experience! We ordered three drinks: mango coconut sago, jade tea latte, and kyoho grape fruit tea crema. The grape drink was the standout--absolutely delicious! It was perfectly sweet with fresh grape bites, grape jelly, and the salted cream added a perfect touch. The mango drink wasn't as great, likely because mango isn't in season. The sago was hard, and the mango was sour, but when I mentioned it to the staff, they remade it for me without hesitation. They were super friendly and accommodating, which really stood out. The place itself is cute, with a cozy loft area to relax and hang out. Overall, the experience was wonderful, and I'll definitely be coming back! Great drinks and even better service.

I came here to study with a friend and I loved the calm and quiet ambiance with the great drinks and food. Located inside of a strip mall, they are next to a bunch of other small shops. Despite their outside appearance, the inside is actually much bigger than I thought and includes an upstairs seating area. They had quite a few of drinks and food options, but my friend and I just decided on a cake and milk tea. Service was alright, a bit slow and not very nice but I didn't really mind. The cake was so so good. There's a hard layer of cream on the outside to break through when you get into the cake but it's SO good. The cake is light and airy, and not too sweet. The hazelnuts go with the matcha so well and add something new and complimentary to the cake. Highly recommend. The inside of the shop is also pretty quiet and has dim lighting, but they do have wifi for you to study at!

We got the matcha roll cake and peach with foam drink. The matcha roll cake was really matcha. It contained just the right amount of matcha. The outside was a little hard (made it hard to cut) but other than that I really liked the texture. The inside was nice and fluffy not overly dry. The cream was creamy and not overly sweet. The peach with foam drink was okay. It wasn't overly sweet as I asked for 50% sugar but it didn't really taste like peaches at all. The foam was nice and savoury. Overall a cute place to hang out with friends over a dessert but definitely on the pricier side of things.

Located in a strip mall in Richmond, Hanlin tea house has a bunch of authentic tea options to choose from! Their milk tea is a little on the milky side for my taste but you can tell they use quality tea here. I also like that they have a loft space for you to study in if you want to extend your stay. Next time I'll be sure to try some of their cakes too!

Just discover this tea shop and wow, the inside wall decor was amazingly impressive. They do have two floors which Im looking forward to try it out when they open for dine ins. I was actually looking for dessert luckily they still have some cake left where I ordered four flavours that they packed in a nice fancy box. All the cakes were not sweet which is my type of cakes as well as so aesthetically beautiful, I got the hazelnut matcha roll, chatramue, matcha fog and hokkaido. My favourite would be the hokkaido as its so creamy and tasty the other three are okay but not that flavoursome. Its a little bit pricy but guess thats what you get from the beauty of the cakes and delicious taste. They do have lots to offer, especially with drinks too which I will definitely will try to come back to try it out.

This is a really nice cafe to spend the day in. Really good interior aesthetics they have different drinks especially teas. Fyi it is more on the pricier side so be prepared!

The teapots were, as is industry standard, a little flimsy, but with enough care they worked well and i had warm tea throughout the meal. I had time to appreciate the freshly painted furniture, the cozy hanging lighting, and the cleanliness of both the table, silverware, and washrooms. The paintings were very nice! The kind of facilities you'd come to expect walking in. The service was excellent, our server was cheerful and kind. While I didn't have silverware intitially, I was still in a yolking mood, it didn't bother me in the slightest, The tables were preset, so really, it isn't a fault of theirs. Our server was attentive and careful, and we felt welcome. It felt easy to come out of my shell. The food was incredible, and made my morning. I ended up finishing my friends' plates! We all got benedict, the avocado, shrimp, and duck. Having tried them all, i would most recommend the duck. It was incredibly tender and the sauce worked well with the holliandaise. The shrimp was delicious, the fish paste took well, though the shrimp were a bit chewy and difficult to cut. I had been craving an eggs benedict, so i came to the professionals. Despite their reputation, they still exceeded my eggspectations! Five Stars.

Friendly staff, tons of parking (as connected to a hotel), close enough to access from the bigger road without a lot of effort, decently priced brunch (which I think is hard to find in any of the greater Vancouver areas) & lots of different table sizes. I especially appreciated the waitress seating me at a place I requested (so my cane wouldn't be an issue for safety to others trying to get to tables or even serve me). Bathroom was large & easy to access, even though it's all the way at the back of the restaurant. Lots of natural light from the big windows & it was nice for those of us seated along the sunnier side to be able to adjust the blinds ourselves. I also was impressed with how the noise didn't bother me on such a large place. I know it wasn't nearly anywhere near full capacity while I was leisurely enjoying my meal there, but still enough people (and families with younger kids) to know how sound would carry.

The walls are decorated with pictures from Europe and the teacups are very "British." Besides scone and tea, you can get regular food here as well such as fries, salt & pepper chicken, and radish cake to name just a few. You can also get cold drinks like juice & bubble tea, and bubble tea drinks here too. So...not your typical British style Afternoon Tea joint. Kind of half restaurant, half tea place. My friend had a pot of Leisure Fresh Fruit tea and a scone. We'd already had lunch a bit earlier and while my friend had room for a scone, I had zero room in my stomach for any food so I just had a pot of Longan Red Date tea. It was a cold day so a pot of hot tea really hit the spot. I thought it a bit pricy at first, but when the tea came, I saw that the teabags were Fortnum & Mason teabags. That is a very a prestigious company from all the way over in England. When I realized we were drinking Fortnum & Mason tea, all of a sudden $10.25 didn't seem so extravagant any more. My friend said her scone seemed like more of a biscuit than a scone. It came with butter and jam. I think she wished there had been some clotted cream to go with it. I can't say too much about the food as I only had one pot of tea but I was impressed that it was Fortnum & Mason tea, and I very much enjoyed the flavor of the Longan & Red Dates in my tea.
