Palich family who used to own the funeral home on 25th as Sacremento are now here on Harlem and 82nd. I know, not your typical YELPing but for me this is good. I always like to YELP outside the normal box. And the fact that I came here for a wake, compels me to do a review. First off, the place is really nice on the outside. The parking lot is huge and can accomodate so many vehicles! When I went there was another wake being done and still you had lots of room to walk around and maintain respect as to not bother the other familly. I can appreciate a clean and very nice funeral home. The fact that the funeral director could dress up in a 3 piece suit, says a whole lot about this establishment. I can really appreicate the time they take to make sure the families are happy at such a sombering moment. But I digress. Its a nice and super clean funeral home. With, might I add, a fireplace (straight out of 60's lore) in the middle of the entrance area. read more

So when you walk up to the entrance, the first thing you see posted on the door is the mandatory mask signs. When you walk in you see most of the folks there for the visitation following the guidelines. The problem I had was that the folks running the Funeral home did not have any masks on, they were running around the entire place, in and out of their office and up and down the hallways and into several visitation rooms without masks. So is this hypocritical or irresponsible. How about both. read more

Definitely not the best place to meet a good business owner but Mr. Hann did something wonderful for me and my family. We lost our infant daughter last week and had no idea what to do, what to ask, what to choose from. In a moment where you life is upside down and the pain hurts too much to even breathe at times, Mr. Hann guided us through the entire process in a simplified manner. The service was not only simple and affordable, it was respectable for our baby girl. Cost was definitely a major factor and Mr. Hann took care of us in this terrible time of need. I've been wanting to write a review for this place since for the past 6 or 7 months. My mom left us too soon and we where not ready. It happened to be in the middle of the night. We had to make a decision soon. We didn't know, we had to have or contact a funeral home within a about an hour. My siblings and I started calling the near by funeral homes. This of course was about the worse time to be negotiating and getting things in order. I don't think anyone is in the right mind and ready to do these kind of things. Unfortunately, most of them where rude, as if where bothering them and the attitude of "you get what you get" and " you have no choices". Finally we call Hann, they where very friendly, very nice, and it felt like we where dealing with a family member than just a business person. We right away talked to Mr. Hann the owner. They came right away and took my mom. Very professional and very respectful. The price didn't seem outrageous as the others. They gave us options and explain everything very clear to us. The place is very nice inside with plenty of space. They basically made us feel at home. Their cafeteria is very nice, they have good coffee. They are very organized. They are very professional. Let me tell you, I haven't gone to funerals much and when I have, I never paid attention to these details. The people here where very professional and it made feel good about having to choose this place. I definitely recommend this place. I can almost guarantee that you'll be happy. You can trust that everything is going to be taken care of. Once again I tremendously appreciate all they did for us. read more

My father passed away suddenly on January 9th of this year, and Hann Funeral Home was recommended to us. Thank goodness, because we were so disorientated that we didn't know where to start looking for funeral arrangements. It's a family run business, and Mr. Hann, as well as his son, own the funeral home and the crematorium. Mr. Hann was very compassionate and patient with us, who were, I'll admit, very shell shocked. And the price! Very reasonable. The staff was beyond wonderful the day of the wake. It may be a bit strange to write a glowing review about a funeral home, but the staff deserve it. After contacting a LOT of such companies for my mom's funeral arrangements, I was ready to give up... Everyone I reached out to dealt with the "negotiations" a la "my way or the highway"... No empathy, no willingness to listen to the customer, nothing... Until, I found the Hann Funeral Home and I had a chance to speak with John Hann, the owner. He was caring, willing to work with my desired direction for the funeral, explained the what and how and delivered his services in a most prompt manner. What a relief that was for me!
